Kim Zimmer (Reva, GL) called from L.A. "I was pleasantly surprised," she says. "The phone beeped at about 5:30 and it was my fan club president Shelli Miller texting me saying congratulations and honestly I had forgotten they were being announced today. And then two seconds later, my husband called from New York saying that a friend of ours had called from upstate because of course he wasn't watching so he called and said, 'I don't know who else has been nominated but I know you were so congratulations!' It's my eleventh nomination. I'm kind of appalled that it is 11 nominations to tell you the truth!"

Y&R's Peter Bergman (Jack) is celebrating his 15th nomination. "It's very exciting. I like competing when I actually have stuff. They've given me a lot of stuff this year; we should all be blessed with these problems. I've had my name out of the ring for the last three years so to get a nomination again, it's been a long time. The show did well, too, which is a very cool thing," he says.

Lesli Kay (Felicia, B&B) was among those who were disappointed by Susan Flannery (Stephanie) exclusion. "For Susan not to be nominated with that material, I'm sorry, I've got a hard time with that. And John [McCook] is always good and he's always there for her, and I'm shocked for him, too. But I'm very happy for Michael Park [Jack, ATWT]. I'm very happy for Maura [West, Carly], too. And I'm so happy for Jeanne Cooper [Katherine, Y&R]. I just love her," admits the actress, who chose the reel that earned her B&B's sole acting nod based on Flannery's recommendation. "Susan yanked my tape at the last minute and said, 'No, you're going to use the one you originally wanted.' "

Presenter Bree Williamson's (Jessica, OLTL) first thought? "Where the hell is Trevor [St. John, Todd]? I honestly feel like I'm going to cry. I not only thought he would get nominated, I thought he would win," said the actress, who was delighted for her co-stars who were nominated. "And I'm really proud of our show and our directors."

Dan Gauthier (ex-Kevin, OLTL) agrees. "I figured that Heather and Renee would get nominated, just based on how strong their reels were. I was shocked that Trevor St. John wasn't nominated. It almost ruined my nomination. I went from being happy to just really bummed at the same time...." says the actor, who is nonetheless excited about the other OLTL nods.

Van Hansis (Luke, ATWT) was at work on-set, with Elena Goode (Jade) and Jennifer Landon (Gwen) when he heard the good news. "I'm thrilled about Jen and Alex [Chando, Maddie] and Jesse [Soffer, Will]. I remember being at home watching the day that I think Michael and Maura both used for their reel and thinking, 'Oh my God, this is incredible.' I'm thrilled for the entire cast. I know Tom [Pelphrey's, ex-Jonathan, GL] work and I think he's really good, but I haven't really seen the other guys yet."

Y&R's target="_blank">Bryton McClure (Devon; and yes, he's using his surname for the Emmys) says, "No one called me, so I found out when I came to work and Kristoff St. John [Neil] congratulated me. It's always an honor and even though it's two years in a row, it's as exciting as the first."

Nominations presenter, Cathy Jeneen Doe (Simone, PASSIONS), says, "I'm really excited for James [Stevenson, Jared]. I'm so proud because he's new and this is like our last chance to get in there! So we're very, very happy for him."

"This is incredible," says James Stevenson (Jared, PASSIONS). "Heidi (Mueller, Kay] called me this morning at like 7:30. She thought I knew, but I was in complete shock. I said my goal for this year is to try to get nominated for an Emmy, but I really didn't think it was going to happen. I'm in shock that I achieved it. It's disappointing [that other cast members were not nominated]. I can try to get something for [the show] before it ends."
