Making The Scene
Hostess With The Mostest
Y&R's Sharon Case (Sharon) gave Emmy host Kelly Monaco (Sam, GH) high marks: "She was lovely and she did an awesome job hosting. I thought both she and Tom Bergeron were up there with the best hosts I've ever seen. They were smooth. They weren't in your face or trying to pull off too many gags. They were very classy."... And Monaco enjoyed co-hosting the Emmys even more than she thought she would, noting, "I was relieved the moment I set foot on the stage. When Tom and I caught eyes, there was something magic between us. And Rick Springfield [Noah, GH] set it off. He really got the crowd going. You could feel the energy in the room. It was so great to celebrate the hardest working, most underrated people in this business. I feel very honored."

Kate Linder
Linderella
Kate Linder (Esther, Y&R) celebrated her 10th anniversary with dress designer Erin Pennacchio, who has been responsible for Linder's Emmy look for the past decade. "I feel like a fairy princess," she smiled.

Laura Wright
— ABC
Best Of Both Worlds
Laura Wright
(Carly, GH; ex-Cassie, GL) couldn't have been more pleased with this year's Emmy outcome, beaming, "GH won best show. GUIDING LIGHT kicked ass. It's the best night ever."
Judith Chapman
Party Hopper
Y&R's Judith Chapman (Gloria; ex-Ginny, GH et al) made it a point to stop by the ABC after-party, stating, "I just had to come by to pay tribute to the legacy of Gloria Monty [GH's late former executive producer]."
Tristan Rogers
That's My Buddy
Tristan Rogers (Scorpio, GH) was elated that co-star Anthony Geary (Luke) took home that statue for Outstanding Lead Actor, remarking, "I knew it was going to happen. He's my guy. He earned it."
Scott Clifton
Conflicts Of His Interest
For Younger Actor nominee Scott Clifton (Dillon, GH), the night got mixed reviews: "I was thrilled about GH getting Best Show, but Tyler [Christopher, Nikolas, GH, who was up for Supporting Actor] should have taken it. He had an excellent year. He was good. He was evil. He had the range."
David "Shark" Fralick
Visiting Hours
David "Shark" Fralick (ex-Larry, Y&R) spent the night catching up with his Genoa City pals. "I had to show up," he grinned. "This is the biggest night of the year."
Kristoff St. John and his wife, Alana
That's Shoe Biz
As Kristoff St. John (Neil, Y&R) and wife Allana made their way up the red carpet, the missus suffered a wardrobe malfunction. "My shoes were killing me," she grimaced. "I thought, ‘There's no way I'm going to make it all night with these shoes.' But luckily on our way up the steps, we passed a shoe store, so I ran in and picked out a new pair!"
