These nominations are shocking. GH was practically eliminated from all acting categories! DOOL has "earned" quite a few nominations?!?!? The younger actress category without Julie Marie Berman or Kirsten Storms?!?!? WHAT?!?!?

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 1:37 PM — By Kelly

Those are awfully biased. ABC was practically left out. I am glad to see people recognizing Days, but there is an obvious CBS bias. This is not representative of daytime. That is too bad.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 1:41 PM — By T.K. Bower

I'm stunned that only ONE GH actor received a nomination. What's going on?!

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 1:42 PM — By Debbie

Where are Thorsten Kaye and Tuc Watkins????? And I agree with everything DJR says too.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 1:46 PM — By C1984

I'm a little shocked actually... I definitely agreed with your predeictions more. I expected way more GH noms in each category and a little less Y&R, I mean its definitely one of the best but not in every category at least not the actors they chose.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 1:47 PM — By Shannon

I have to agree. It is nice to see that Days is finally getting recognized, but what about AMC, OLTL and GH? They have had some knockout performances this past year. It appears that CBS is still monopolizing the catagories. I thought that was supposed to be changing, to make it more of an even playing field. Congratulations to all the nominees.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 1:49 PM — By JTL

There were others that were more deserving that were looked over. There is definite bias going on with the nominations.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 1:55 PM — By acd

As glad as i am to see Days finally get the reconition it deserves, where is Dedire Hall, Melody Thomas Scott, or Matha Madison. And yes, Days has earned every nomination, and deserves more seeing that the last 8 years it has been shut out.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 1:56 PM — By Amber

Who picked these nominations?! I watched GH and Y&R and personally, Heather and Colleen from Y&R are awful. They haven't even had any storylines lately!

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 2:01 PM — By Margie

Where are all the nominations from OLTL? Kathy Brier gave an outstanding performance this year. I am a big fan of Y&R, but Tammin Sursok instead of Kristen Alderson? Tammin didn't even have any storyline to speak of.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 2:16 PM — By Hilary Walling

I am appalled by the nominations this year. ABC has been completely left out and there is such wonderful talent on these shows. I for on will be boycotting the awards this year. As A devoted ABC fan of over 30 years this is a horrible slap in the face for the actors and shows that I love.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 2:34 PM — By Jessica

Now the ABC fans know what it is like to be a DAYS fan when you are constantly slapped in the face over and over and over again. I am beyond happy that they scored four nominations for acting. There are only two deserving nods in the Younger Actress category --- Landon and Melvin. One of those ladies better take it home or I will be upset because the other three shouldn't be anywhere near the Emmys.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 2:46 PM — By rose fitzgerald

I believe abc needs a new front man..frons isnt working out..nor are the GH writers

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 2:53 PM — By LaToya

i'm very shocked great people on general hospital were left out but people who haven't been on shows that long are on the ballot this is crazy

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 3:01 PM — By Becca

I watched the nominations and my mouth dropped at basically all of them.. how is ABC almost completely shut out? They had some AMAZING performances this year! While I don't want to take away from the nominees, it is clear something is wrong in this process. Kirsten Storms, Kristen Alderson, Nancy Lee Grahn, and Laura Wright being left off is ridiculous. I dont think this is a fair representation of daytime at all, and I'm completely disapointed by what I have seen today.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 3:30 PM — By Barbara

I can't believe how many superior people were not included! This is the worst group of nominees in years. I think some group set out to snub or sabotage ABC soaps! I will NOT (for the first time) watch the Emmie Show this year. Utterly disappointed. No one could come close to the ability Spinelli has shown, and Starr was THE star, and not nominated???I don't understand.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 3:47 PM — By Jessica

I just can't feel sorry for people today. How many times was NBC at the receiving end of this kind of "sabatoge"? I was disappointed that Kirsten Storms didn't make the cut. There does need to be something done to rework the Emmy system maybe now that ABC has had this happen to them they will be at the forefront working to change the system.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 3:46 PM — By CLR

Every year I have hope that the nominations will actually resemble what I have been watching all year on the shows and once again I am disappointed. The performances I watched this year on these shows that deserved being nominated are not on the list and many of the ones on the list especially from Y&R should not be. It is clear that yet again this year the most deserving performers will not win Daytime Emmy's as they are not even nominated. I am happy to see that Days has nominations but am dumbfounded that Days did not receive a Drama Series nomination but GL which has not been that great all year received one. It is clear the method used to select nominees needs to be changed. They need to figure out how to have people who actually watch these shows all year nominate performers and shows as opposed to shows pre-nominating people and then ballots being sent to people who clearly are not watching these shows on a regular basis. I hope they figure out a way to fix this process soon.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 3:48 PM — By Insider

It's all fixed. The shows pay for thier nominations by having thier cast join the academy. The whole cast of GL is in the NATAS thus the push for Nicole Forrester who is by far one of the worse recasts of all times. ABC has a strong memebership in NATAS but not as strong as CBS. DOOL doesn't care if their actors arent a member of NATAS so thus the low nominations. Ellen Wheeler may have made it a mandate for all actors to join NATAS. I do wonder if Van will use any clips with Martha Byrne. That will piss off Chris G.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 3:53 PM — By Tina

CBS has once again dominated the Emmys as it should. I am so sick of the ABC soaps being the most popular, but it's funny how it never shows in the ratings, with Y&R being number one for almost 20 years. Congrats CBS! And congrats to Days. They deserve their nominations. I only wish Katherine Kelly Lang would get nominated and win already. CBS all the way to Emmy gold!!!

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 3:57 PM — By Thom

Go Y&R!!! The only ommission that shocks me is Katherine Kelly Lang from B&B. She had some amazing work last year. It surprises me that she is never a nominee.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 4:01 PM — By Roger

Congratulations to Van Hansis on his much deserved nomination.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 4:06 PM — By Linda Bauman

I love GL so of course I am pleased, altho I was surprised by who got nominated. I do see alot of CBS stars and that GH was overlooked. Days has been ignored for so long and the nominations that they got were curious. Best to all the nominees and shows.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 4:11 PM — By Jenny

Wow!! I am amazed, that ABC was shut out, there are so many, great deserving actors, it is a TRUE shame!!!

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 4:16 PM — By jkm

I agree with Yound in the Restless's nominations except Tammin Sursok's. What storyline did she have? But I agree that General Hospital was totally snubbed. Tyler Christopher, Natalia Livingston, Bradford Anderson, Nancy Lee Grahn and Jane Elliopt gave amazing performances this year. Shame on the academy for not seeing that!

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 4:32 PM — By Cheryl

yeah, this list is laughable. I can't judge the CBS shows, since I only watch (until recently) ATWT, but there are some glaring ommisions!! Why Judi Evans...where was her storyline? Why not Martha Madison? Where's Kathy Brier, Kristen Alderson and Kirsten Storm? Martha Bryne??? Drake Hogestyn?! Maybe too many nominees, too many tapes to watch, not enough time and voters who took the short cut and voted for friends rather than on the merits of their tapes?? Time to have the soap press vote the awards shows...they are the ones who watch them all!

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 5:09 PM — By Eileen

I watch both Y&R & GH and can tell you that the "younger" nominations are especially laughable. Tammin Sursok, Vail Bloom & Bryton over Julie Berman, Kirsten Storms & Bradford Anderson? Give me a break.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 5:13 PM — By Glenn

I'm a life-long Y&R fan ... but even I know this is ridiculous! Jeanne Cooper deserved an Emmy about 15 years ago, but she has virtually no role on the show now. Ditto for Christian LeBlanc -- his character was wasted this past year. And the three noms for Younger Actress?! Christel Kahlil is the only younger actress on that show who is worthy, and she got snubbed!!! I think the rest of Y&R's noms are valid, but this still shows the whole process needs to be revamped YET AGAIN.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 6:02 PM — By Tanisha

I watch all of the daytime soaps on CBS and I am happy to see them on the list. But GH has done some wonderful thing's this year on the show. And more people should be on that list from GH. Especially Bradford Anderson he has brought a lot to that show. I sorry to see that they have been left out.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 6:16 PM — By Marge

you've got to be joking!! ABC was robbed!!!!!!!! Won't be watching the emmys this year folks.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 6:25 PM — By lahama

Glad to see Kelley Menighan Hensley got nominated for Emily's prostitution storyline. She should have been nominated the previous year for her downward spirial. Hope Maura West uses those scenes from last April 2007 when Carly told Jack the last thought he'll have when he's taking his last breath will be of her. Also feel KKL was overlooked, as was John McCook from B & B. And those Y & R younger actresses don't hold a candle to Marnie S. as Alison Stewart. I don't watch Days but I caught Martha Madison as Belle when John died, and she was good-- as was the always overlooked Deidre Hall. I was surprised how good she was, since that show is always cartoonish and over the top. Also, Austin Peck as Brad Snyder is a surprisingly good actor who was overlooked.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 6:25 PM — By Christina

Yay for DAYS!!! All I can say is that it is about time! I am a little surprised that Deidre Hall, Martha Madison, Shelley Hennig, and Drake Hogestyn (sp?) were left off the list. But congrats to all the nominees on very well deserved nominations!!!

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 6:55 PM — By Stephanie

I think it is utterly DISGUSTING for one show to dominate so much. I think these things are totally fixed. The whole nominating process reminds me of the "most likely" nominations from my high school year book. AMC had some as well as other shows, had INCREDIBLE performances this year and deserved more recognition! HELLO! Kendall seeing her son wheeled into ER the same time she's in labor with the other, you can't get more "soapy" than that! The ENTIRE nomination process needs to change! Too many talented actors are being left out so that CBS can have their little popularity contest and vote for their friends, not the talent that so many actors show. Ridiculous. I WON'T be watching the Emmy's this year AGAIN. I don't have a problem with other soaps having nominations, but one station should not totally dominate the process, that seems fishy to me! Congratulations to David Canary of AMC, a truely remarkable actor that actually got the recognition that he deserv

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 7:37 PM — By tj

This is a joke right!!!! I definitely will not be watching this years awards. OLTL got robbed BIG TIME (at least you got a nod for Outstanding Series) With so many younger characters on the show why wasn't the characters who played Starr, Langston or Cole nominated?? & Spinelli (or even Maxie, or Lulu or even Johnny) from GH, come on people!!!!! He should have at least got something at least. Congrats to David Canary though, You are still a joy to watch.

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 8:20 PM — By Pat

I am a loyal Y&R fan, as well as AMC, OLTL, AND GH. However, where is the nomination for Judith Chapman-she EARNED her EMMY this past year. Who are the idiots that left her out. I thought the Emmy nods were to recognize outstanding performances. This is a travesty. Thank goodness, the fans can still vote for those that are deserving via the real award show, THE SOAP OPERA DIGEST AWARDS!!!!

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 9:37 PM — By Rebecca

i agree with a lot of you. Days has been left out for years and they definatley has deserved their spot and deserved more then they got. but they are really biased and they have been more over the last few years, they really need a different way to choose these because whoever is has not been watching teh same soaps as me

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 9:50 PM — By Lee

This is a total joke!!!!!!!! The new Colleen and Heather of Y&R haven't had story in quite a while. I like Bryton, but the same goes for him. Is he recurring? Guiding Light is a MESS and this will only push Ellen Wheeler to continue her horrible version of a once great show. Where are the nominations for Kristen Alderson, Kathy Brier, Erika Slezak, Katherine Kelly Lang, Melody Thomas Scott, Maurice Bernard, and Eric Braeden? The daytime academy should be ashamed!!!!!

Posted Wed Apr30, 2008, 11:23 PM — By kat

It's a shame that some of the deserving ABC actors were completely shut out. Having said that, I'm not that surprised either. The WRITERS (especially on GH) have torn that soap to shreds by their firing/not utilizing veteran actors, destroying core families, re-writing GH history, glorifying violence without any balance, the lack of romance or happiness for any of the couples. It's too bad that some of the wonderful actors on GH have had so little to work with. GH needs NEW WRITERS imo. AMC has also gone downhill as well, but at least are trying to right their wrongs by bringing back Angie, Jessie, Dixie & Greg to start.

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 3:28 AM — By jwells

So much for recognizing talent. Congratulations to DOOL for finally receiving nominations. I can only hope the performers of ABC soaps boycot the ceremony and that fans of these shows will, in turn, boycott the televised ceremony. All three networks have some awesome talent, but it isn't fair when any one network bogarts all the nominations. Does Phyllis Stafford and Christian LeBlanc really need to be recognized AGAIN? Can anyone explain the younger acting categories? Actors who portray Michael on GH, Cole & Starr on OLTL belong in such a category. This year belonged to the actors who elevated the medium; actors who portrayed characters like: Carly on GH, Marcy on OLTL, did Leslie Charleston not deserve a Best Supporting Actress nod for her phenominal year as Monica on GH? Is poor Allison Sweeny from DOOL EVER going to be recognized? Sorry about the randomness of my thoughts, but I have enjoyed the soaps of all three networks for 30+ years. Let me know what you think at cincydewdd@yahoo

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 7:16 AM — By Sue

I am a huge GL fan, and I was so happy to see they finally had recogniton the past two years! I do have to admit, their were quite a few actors that should of been nominated from other soaps this year. I was shocked when I watched The View yesterday. The Younger Actress category appears to be the most upsetting. I don't know if any of you have had a chance to watch the performance of Marcy Rylan (Lizzie), but she was definately overlooked! And, Stephanie Gatschet (Tammy). Her last scenes were heart breaking.

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 7:22 AM — By Lesley

What is going on? GH was totally shut out. Some of the best stuff being written and it does not get nominated?

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 7:59 AM — By Sandy

I guess CBS ran the polls. Why don't they call it the "CBS Daytime Emmys". There is no way that CBS has all the great actors. Once again, I will not be watching.

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 8:30 AM — By Kathy

I am, I have to admit, a big ABC fan. That being said, where is Brandford Anderson? He is the best thing that's happened to daytime in a long time. I do watch Days and was happy to see their nods, but why Judi Evans and Thao? Neither one has that great of story line. It seems as if they only nominated people to get the show on the board. There were much better performances to recognize!

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 9:14 AM — By Tina Todd

I am very surprised that General Hospital was bascially forgotten in the awards. I probably will not watch the show. There were so many good performances on GeneralHospital and they deserved nominations. Tina Todd

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 9:37 AM — By Cindy

In a time when soaps are struggling to attract and keep viewers, why on earth would you totally shut out one whole network and make a mockery of the nominations by choosing the actors that you did? People will not watch the Emmy's and I think that is something the daytime community cannot afford at this point.

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 10:41 AM — By Jed

younger actress noms R surprising. think Emily O'B. is worthy of the honor, Christine K. (Lily) should have been in the mix- thought her work was quite good. Marnie S. from ATWT was overlooked too. expected a nom 4 Judith Chapman, I enjoyed her work more than hr storyline - maybe thats why she missed out? GL?No. have watched the new 'Hills' style format and , sorry , it needs work. i hope they don't award this desperate shift in style because it may be -another- GL anniversary year. B&B's KKLang is passed over again....there's a NYC/LA schism in voting too it seems... think OLTL will win a bunch this year.... though NOT for art direction! thought Jeffrey Carlson might get a nom for AMC, but maybe his story line /character was 2 much for voters, 2 much of a gimmicky ratings grab by AMC? Though I don't watch DOOL , was happy about Judi Evans recognition, though I think Emily MH from ATWT will bring gold home...Sorry Marie Masters missed a nod 4 her work @ATWT... Hope

Replace: Drama Series: ATWT with GH(the worst soap on the air) Best Actor: Anthony Geary with Eric Braeden(Victor, Y&R) Best Actress: Nicole Forester with Alison Sweeney (Sammi, Days) Best Supporting Actor: Brian Kerwin with Stephen Nichols, (Patch, Days) Best Supporting Actress: Judi Evans with anyone eles. Best Younger Actress: add Kristen Alderson (the hardest working young actress in the industry) Best Younger Actor: Bryton(if I've seen 10x in one year I'm lucky) with Miles Williams (RJ, GL) - this kid scares me and that's an extraordinary feat in daytime for a kid.

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 11:34 AM — By Suzy

I cannot believe that GH's Spinelli did not receive a nomination. This kid is so talented this is the biggest oversight in Daytime Emmy history. I for one will not tune in to these awards!!!

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 12:59 PM — By Cheryl

I will boycott the awards except for the last few minutes. General Hospital was totally overlooked in the acting categories (except for Tony Geary) What a joke these nominations are!

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 3:41 PM — By linda

As usual the Daytime Emmy has over looked soap actresses & actors like Dylan Cash as Michael on GH & Kristen Alderson on OLTL who have been always over looked in the younger actor catergory every year. I don't understand why in each soap opera there is not one actor & actress picked for each caterory. All the soaps have great actors & actresses -So Why is there a limit on nominations? guess I won't be watching the awards this year. linda

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 4:10 PM — By Jennifer

I can't believe that ABC got shuned like this. They have had so many great story lines this year. I have been watching these shows since I was a little girl and can't beleive that they only have 4 nominations. It is so sad to see good actors be left out. They have so many strong supporters in each of these catagories. I just cna't believe that ABC doen't have more noms. Better luck next year.

Posted Thu May 1, 2008, 6:22 PM — By Nicolle

ok, I follow seven out of the nine soap operas that are on the air, and I was dumbfounded by the nominations. Somebody refresh my memory- was Colleen on Y&R even onscreen this year? Ditto Jana and D.A. Heather (whose Paul-is-really-your-father-reveal fell flat for my taste). Meanwhile, Kirsten Storms is MIA despite the death of her onscreen sis! I'm amazed that Nancy Lee Grahn and Deidre Hall were overlooked; as well as Leslie Charleson whose performances were nothing short of heart-wrenching after both Alan and Emily died. I think the biggest snub by far is Kathy Brier, who basically carried OLTL single-handedly with the kidnapping of Tommy/Sam. All that being said, I think GH has a good chance at taking Outstanding Drama, what with the Metro Court real-time hostage storyline. (Where is Sebastian Roche's nod, by the way? No one is more deliciously evil than Mr.Craig!) But realistically it will probably go to Guiding Light, despite the fact that it has lately become a shell of the show it onc

Posted Fri May 2, 2008, 4:03 AM — By Tony

I am mystified at how B and B recieved so many noms in major categories like writing and directing, but did not recieve a Best Drama nod...ditto Katherine Kelly Lang-- she was amazing this year...but then again, she is every year, and never nominated. i also believe Heather Tom's nod, is further proof of a Y and R bias, that previous comments have mentioned. I am also a Y and R fan, but am truly dismayed over some of their noms....with one exception--Tracy Breggman has been overlooked for many years and is quite deserving. Like KKL, Melody Thomas Scott never recieves the attention or accolades she deserves either.

Posted Fri May 2, 2008, 2:28 PM — By Melissa

It's total BS that the Emmy's snubbed ABC. Kirsten Storms, Kristen Alderson, Nancy Lee Grahn, Kathy Brier, Bradford Anderson, Laura Wright, Trevor St. John, Michael E. Knight, Jacob Young, Tyler Christopher, Leslie Charleson, and many many others were ROBBED. How could the Emmy's overlook all this talent? Will definitely NOT be watching this year.

Posted Sun May 4, 2008, 12:09 AM — By Gail

This whole Daytime Emmy nominations are ridiculous. I was surprised that three new actresses who played Colleen, Jana and Heather on Y&R both nominated for Outstanding Younger Actress. They don't have a major storyline. What happened to OLTL's Kristen Alderson (Starr) and GL's Bonnie Dennison (Daisy)? They did an excellent job. I was happy that Tom Pelphrey (ex-Jonathan) is nominated again. (He already won in 2006.) He's so good on GL. He's well deserved.

Posted Mon May 5, 2008, 12:29 AM — By Michael

Y&R may be #1 by whatever poll is used, maybe the same as the people who do nominations for CBS nominees! Interesting to always see how Actors/Actresses from ABC soaps keep winning so many times from FAN AWARD shows. And NBC does well also. I thought the shows was for the Fans, not the networks or the academy support. Oh, well...we the fans know who the best performers are anyways. ANd why would I watch the Emmy Show? Why would any ABC Soap fan for that matter. Shun our performers...WE should Ignore the Emmy Show also!!! Watch another channel that night!

This is one Neilson house that will not be watching. Have you ever notices which ever network has the show seems to dominate the awards hmmmmmm.

what happen to GH nomination you can not tell me that they had know one on that show that did not do a good job the Emmys is for all the soaps not just for Y&R they storyline is not even that good they copy other show OLTL had starr having a baby and the next week Y&R came out with Lily is have a baby too the Victor storyline I do not get he get a new girlfriend a new son so out with the old and in with the new. Nikki do not need Victor or David she should stand on her own for now David dont love Nikki she is just a meal ticket for him Victor try to take every thing away from her and she came out on top now is david is doing the same thing only he used but I love you I hope kick him out soon.

Days of Our Lives is the only soap I watch and I am very happy that they FINALLY have some nominations. I haven't watched the Daytime Emmys in years because DOOL is usually a complete shutout, so I've never really cared who won. I would have loved to see Allison Sweeney, Deidre Hall, Kristian Alfonso, Mary Beth Evans, Drake Hogestyn, Stephen Nichols, Peter Reckell, Martha Madison, and others on this list. Rachel Melvin and Darin Brooks are amazing; I hope they win.

Posted Wed May 7, 2008, 3:23 AM — By Emily

I am appalled that GH was practically shunned from the nominations, but CBS dominated it since other than Y & R, their soaps are not of the caliber of GH. This past year, as every year actually, was awesome for GH and their actors should have gotten more recognition. It's obvious they have people voting that don't even know what's going on and don't care about the viewers. As for others who commented about GH or ABC dominating in the past..it's because GH is a great soap and they deserve the nominations, unlike GL and ATWT as you can see from the Nielsen ratings. I will NOT be watching the Emmys this year. Boycott ABC soaps, I will boycott you! Someone seriously needs to pay attention to who's deciding these nominees and replace them yesterday! The fans deserve it! Without us, you wouldn't have shows at all! And the writing IS great on GH(shout out to Garin Wolf who took over during the writers Strike!)He did a great job and should be recognized instead of Bob Guza always getting c

UNBELEIVABLE!!! There is something wrong here. I kept looking at the nominee's and thinking there must be a mistake. How could the actors and actresses from general hospital not be nominated for daytime Emmy Awards. I don't know why but they were robbed. And how could they be nominated for best daytime drama. It's a contradiction. I don't know if I will watch the awards this year.

Loooove the Y&R and very happy they got all the nominations but I agree the nominations are kind of a joke with who's nominated. Katherine Kelly Lang and Judith Chapman are missing from the ballot which is appalling but that's life. Congrats CBS and I'm happy you got all the nominations

Okay so as a Days fan I am psyched, but fans of ABC soaps I feel your pain and I hear ya. Personally although I am I love Days I wish more regulars such as Peter Reckell, Drake, Bryan R. Datillo (esp.), and Josh Taylor nominated. Also some of Days leading ladies such as Allison Sweeney, Deidre Hall, Martha Maddison, Kristian Alfonso, etc. Supporting nods also could have gone to Peggy McCay, and Nadia Bjorn. I think a lot of the other nominees are a joke particularly in the actress catergories. ( atleast all the actor catergories has atleast one nonCBS actors and oustandig lead actor is well-balanced, although Christian LeBlanc is confusing; I was confused last year when he won, he'd better not win this year.) Note on the younger actor/actress catergories age might have been an issue. Strange age limits? Tammy on GL. All in all I hope for the most part the nonCBS soaps take emmys, and the bias in the younger actress group helps Rachel Melvin. Best of luck to all nominees! and congrads to fellow Days fan

What time is the Daytime Emmy Awards coming on?

I think The Young & The Restless is the best show on television.....I have watched it since the beginning in the days of Snapper, Sally, Chris, and Peire...My only objection is the omission of the wonderful actor who plays John Abbot / Alister..Jerry Douglas.....I hate it when my soap loses someone whatever the reason...I think the show has certainly come a long way and I for one cannot wait to see where the future of the show takes us...I wish they would put this wonderful show on dvd, starting from 1973...I would be the first in line in my city to buy it...Maybe a petition would do the trick...Whose with me?.....Barbara

I am SOOOOOO pissed off that the academy didn't recognize Beverly McKinsey's passing!! SHE was the quintessential bitch of the 70's and 80 in her role of Iris Carrington Wheeler on ANOTHER WORLD and TEXAS!! These actresses, that were nominated, couldn't hold a candle to her!!!!! WHAT a slap in the face!!!!! These awards were a fiasco!!!!

I can not believe that Days was not even nominated for best drama. Days is an awesome show and has been for years. I have watched it since I was 8 years old and I am now 32. I think whomever nominates the shows needs to do a recheck. Days rocks! I love Days of Our Lives and I love all the juicy stories going on with it. Also, Days has the best looking men acting on that show. In reagards to Philip Kiriakis and EJ, ouch! If they had an award for the most sexy cast, Days would win by a landslide!

I really think Gloria has done such a great job on Y&R. I wonder why she didn't get nominated? She has such great charm and class. And I have to give credit to the costume designers on all the clothing that she wears. And thank the hair dressers for fixing some of the men's hair. They looked like they were stuck in a electrical socket. But all in all it's the best show on the soap opera network and I'm happy I have TIVO. I never miss it. My only complaint is that Jill has such an anger problem. Maybe they can fix that problem with her with anger management classes. It will certainly get her into trouble one of these day. I've been a fan for ever and will continue it for quite some time. Your florida spiritual psychic detective, predicting Y&R will not go off the air. Deborah
