I really don't get B&B's Taylor. When it comes to her son, Thomas, she's like the worst helicopter parent ever. For months, she's been freaking out over the mere idea of Brooke "seducing" her child — so much so that she implored Ridge to turn Brooke and Thomas's plane around when the pair went to Europe on business.

Though Beth Maitland (Traci) only appears on Y&R every so often, I really enjoy her performances. She's wonderful at delivering big, emotional scenes like Colleen's death, but what makes her such a great actress is that she's able to bring her all even in smaller moments. For this reason, I was very moved by Traci's talk with Lily in yesterday's episode.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL really needs to slow down its romances. Whip and Taylor, Donna and Justin and Pam and Stephen were all rushed to the altar.

I'm very disappointed with the news that Kyle Lowder (Rick) has been let go from B&B. Aside from him being a talented actor and a nice guy to boot, I think that there was still plenty of potential story for his character.

I know I tend to be very critical of Y&R (It's because I care!), but I'd like to focus on some of things I'm currently enjoying on the show.

I have very mixed feelings about Billy and Victoria's current story on Y&R. On the one hand, I like them as a couple, so I want them to be happy. I want Victoria to have the baby that she longs for. So far though, I'm not completely sold on Billy's plan to "get" a baby by shady means.

If you read my blog with any regularity, you know that I prefer well-acted, character-driven scenes over the action/adventure/medical drama storylines. That said, I really enjoyed Thursday's (Jan. 6) scenes on BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL in which a contrite Whip confessed to Taylor that he'd been the one to orchestrate Brooke and Thomas's steamy "encounter" and put a photo of them online.

I never thought I'd ever be saying this, but I'm finding myself agreeing with B&B's Bill when it comes to his belief that Liam and Hope need to slow things down.

I'm very torn on Y&R's Sharon and Adam. When they first got together last year, I thought that they were an interesting pair, in a trainwreck sort of way, because both felt like outsiders and were turning toward each other during a time of need.

I have mixed feelings about Thomas and Brooke's kissing "scandal" on B&B. On one hand, I like storylines, such as this one, that are true to character and rope in much of the cast. Given Brooke's uh, colorful, romantic history, I don't find it shocking at all that she'd share a smooch with her stepson — even if she didn't actually orchestrate the kiss, which Thomas used as a PR stunt to promote his men's line. I'm also pleased to see all of the Forresters — and even Whip! — have their say as they continue to argue about how the incident should be handled in regards to the press.
