Berry Swirl
By Naomi Rabinowitz Posted: May 5, 2011I know that Thomas and Brooke's "berry trip" on B&B hasn't been everyone's cup of tea at this magazine (hi, Devin), but I enjoyed it. I wouldn't want to watch the characters giggle and frolic amidst hallucinated rainbows every day, mind you, but that little bit of camp added some much-needed levity to an otherwise dramatic storyline. Plus, portrayers Katherine Kelly Lang and Adam Gregory clearly had a blast filming those scenes!
Their plane crash also gave the show an excuse to bring all of the characters together. Ridge, Nick and Bill teamed up to find the missing pair, with help from Taylor and Steffy. Meanwhile, everyone from Whip and Jackie to Dayzee and Owen gathered at the Forrester manse to await news on Brooke and Thomas as Stephanie did her best to raise their spirits. How great was it seeing so many characters in one place? I especially enjoyed the scenes where Pam comforted her rival, Donna and one-time enemies, Stephen and Stephanie, made amends. And I LOVED when Brooke and Ridge ran to each other in slow motion when Ridge finally found the survivors on the beach. Was it cliché? Absolutely. But it still made me cheer.
Now that Brooke and Thomas have been rescued, several new storylines are brewing, the biggest being exactly what happened between them on the island. I honestly have no idea — and you know what? I like being surprised.

I agree whole heartedly! While the "Berry Trip" has certainly got some bad press, atleast it's being talked about! Same was the case when a masked Brooke and 'Ridge' had hot patio/mask sex which of course turned out to be Oliver. It was on the Soup and was talked about but atleast people were talking. Plus B&B has always been known for camp, why were any of us surprised? I honestly thought the crash, the ocean and deserted island scenes were great, and the actors KKL and TG were great in showing how injured, lathargic, hungry and exhausted they were. I just know the fallout from this story will be worth it, and can't wait!
