I never thought I'd ever be saying this, but I'm finding myself agreeing with B&B's Bill when it comes to his belief that Liam and Hope need to slow things down. I'm actually a fan of the pair as I think that portrayers Scott Clifton and Kimberly Matula are adorable together, but both characters are very young and are trying to figure out important things in their lives. Liam is adjusting to a new job, a new dad and a new existence as William Spencer III. Meanwhile, Hope, who's still a teenager, is obviously conflicted over her feelings for Liam and her ex-boyfriend, Oliver. Yes, she keeps telling Ollie, "No," but the moment that Liam wasn't able to be there for her (which wasn't even his fault because Amber had prevented Liam from attending Hope's party), Hope turned to Oliver for comfort. That said, I'm not sure that this is a good time for them to be concentrating on a serious relationship. While I'm not on board with Bill's insistence that Liam take on an image as rich bachelor — something he's clearly not comfortable with — I appreciate his dad's wish that Liam enjoy his youth and the opportunities being presented to him. I also like the fact that this is a very realistic conflict for couples at that age. No, most girlfriends don't have to worry about their boyfriends suddenly discovering that they're the songs of billionaires, but many 18 or 20-year-olds have to deal with their significant others going off to college, getting new jobs and making major life changes. I'm looking forward to Hope and Liam overcoming these odds and becoming a solid couple in the future, but for now, I'm eager to watch each become a stronger person on his or her own.
