Taking on the songs of Stevie Wonder and the late great Whitney Houston is not an easy task. However, that’s what the producers had in store for the Top 13 this past week. For pop-rocker Colton Dixon and country girl Skylar Laine, this week could have been a disaster, as these songs aren’t exactly in their wheelhouse. Yet, both made the songs their own, tailored them to fit their voices/styles and, as a result, sailed through to the next round. Jessica Sanchez also shined, taking on the Whitney classic, "I Will Always Love You". She truly couldn’t have made it look any easier. DeAndre Brackensick brought some spark to the Idol stage as well, with lots of energy and stellar vocals on Stevie's "Master Blaster". One day later, Ryan formed the bottom six, composed of the three guys and three girls with the lowest number of votes. After he dwindled it down to one guy and one girl, Jeremy Rosado and Elise Testone found themselves in trouble, as one of the two would be sent packing. Despite saving Jeremy the week prior, Jennifer announced that Elise would remain in the competition, meaning that it was the end of the road for Jeremy. Are you guys gonna miss "Jer Bear"? Would you rather have seen Elise go? Let me know on Twitter @robbierosenlive!. Talk to y'all soon, looking forward to seeing the Top 12 really saanggg this week!
