With the Top 7 taking on songs from this decade, and the "Judges' Save" still unused, there were bound to be some killer performances…and major drama. Joshua did Bruno Mars proud, taking on the up-tempo tune "Runaway Baby"; Colton continued demonstrating his true artistry with the intimate "Love The Way You Lie"; Jessica was brilliant, singing Jazmine Sullivan's "Stuttering"; and Skylar proved, yet again, that she has what it takes to become a real country star, nailing Idol alum Kellie Pickler's "Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You". Elise also impressed with her gritty and very soulful performance of Lady Gaga's "Yoü And I". On Thursday, Ryan formed the bottom three by having the contestants split into two groups on opposite sides of the stage. With Joshua, Jessica, and Elise standing together stage left, it appeared as if these three would be safe by a mile…yet, shockingly, this was not the case. Even more absurd, out of this bottom three, JESSICA was told she was the one who had received the lowest number of votes! Within the first 30 seconds of this standout singing for her life, the judges stormed the stage and, thankfully, told Jessica she would be saved. How's that for some drama, huh?! CRAZY STUFF!!!
