What did everyone think of the show? I thought it had it's moments but was a little disappointed. I never really thought the show revolved around Vicki and was kind of disappointed that more people weren't involved in the show. I guess more current people. It was nice seeing the people they did show. I loved the scene's with Doreen and Mel and Doreen and David. I love her with both men, but I truly love the Doreen and David connection. They really do love one another. The Bo and Rex thing was a little confusing and I don't like to put down anyone's acting but Natalie as Marie was awful her accent was so phony. But all in all the show was good. What did you think? Were you disappointed? What would you have liked to see?
OLTL'S 40TH ANNIVERSARYThe One Life To Live set was jumpin' on July 15 when the show celebrated its 40th anniversary with a visit from creator Agnes Nixon. ABC Daytime president Brian Frons, OLTL executive producer Frank Valentini, and head writer Ron Carlivati were among those on hand to praise the show and fete the 80-year-old writer/producer, who's taped an appearance on the show (as the Creator in heaven, no less) to commemorate the anniversary. Nixon loaned the cast and crew a scrapbook from the first years of the show that reflected how it pushed racial boundaries by integrating African Americans in the storylines. ''It's amazing that that was only 40 years ago and the world is so different that now we have a black man running for president,'' said Erika Slezak (Viki) as she pored over the scrapbook. Nixon's eyes misted up as she remembered the Friday cliffhanger for one racially-charged storyline about Carla Benari (Ellen Holly), a woman everyone
I don't know it is possible I missed this but it would have been nice to see a flash back to all the people that used to be on. A montage of music so you could see Joe Reilly, Wanda, Marco Dane, Karen, Jenny, Brad so many people I can't even think. It just would be nice if they had been acknowledged. I have been watching the show since the 70's and I remember everyone. I love Vicki and all but just think others should have been seen.
I loved the Anniversary shows, and I finally got my closure and a wonderful goodbye to Ben and Viki. Well done.
I agree. I have only been watching off and on for several years until the last few months I have started to watch everyday. I would have loved to have seen flashbacks of the older storylines and characters. There are more people on the show then just Vicki.

I really enjoyed the 40th anniversary episodes. I am fairly new to OLTL and I appreciated the back story. Natalie's accent was awful, but nowhere near as bad as Sami's "Irish" accent on DOOL last year when she was playing her great aunt. It makes me wish I watched the show when Mel and Ben were on the show. The scenes between Vicki and Ben were so sweet. I was nervous to see how they were going to tie the stories into the past without showing tons of old clips but I think they did a really amazing job.
