I thought it was pretty sad how they took the Aidan Devane
character and completely trashed him, I'm sure others will
disagree with this thought. Ever since the character hit AMC, I
was glued to the screen, I felt story & character wise, it was
going to work. I always find it interesting and a bit tricky when
characters related to other characters from another show are
created.
I really think not only AMC but also ABC missed the boat with
this one, the way his character left, what's up with that ? I
mean, he's been on AMC for 7 years and that's how they
decide to write him out. Also, you'd think with Aidan being in
trouble that Anna would move mountains to provide support
for her nephew, nothing, nada.
I always originally thought he should've been a GH character
and all but that's just me, look at Ryan Lavery, he has PC ties
too but you don't see Duke Lavery popping into Pine Valley
anytime soon. Of course, given the structure of characters
and shows, it only makes sense in a way not to bring those
elements and stories together. All I'm saying is it would've been nice, not just from a continuity stance either.
I hope that if Aidan Devane returns, it's in Port Charles because I truly believe it'd be a perfect fit, in my opinion.
Besides, the family dynamics would prove interesting with
Robin, Anna and Mac Scorpio.
I agree! I hated what Pratt did to Aidan, but I still rooted for him. I love Aidan, and I hope LB brings him back before the show ends. It probably won't happen because no one seems to recognize or care that Aidan Devane/Aiden Turner have fans.
I would love to see Aidan Devane return to Pine Valley now that AMC is ending. I really miss him. Maybe Tad can call Aidan for help with the Dixie mystery.
What Dixie mystery? I hate when they bring the dead back. I like Tad with Cara. Let that man be happy for once before the show ends and I don 't mean the last week either. Dixie and Zach both need to only do dream scenes or angle type scenes. Grif and Kendall are perfect together so let them be happy.

Now that Brian Frons appears to be out of the picture in terms of determining story for AMC, as he should be, I'm trusting Agnes Nixon to give the majority of fans what they want, and for years, the majority of fans were Tad and Dixie fans, and Zach and Kendall fans. I know some people like Griffin and Cara, but with Agnes back, these newbies with zero history, including zero history with Kendall and Tad except for the past few months, should not end up with Kendall and Tad romantically. That would be a crime. Bring back Aidan because alot of fans were upset over AT's firing. I'm not a fan of Aidan, but I want AMC to write for the majority instead of for the minority, and that means redeeming Aidan and bringing him back, IMO. But I would like to see Dixie and Zach both return alive and well to their soulmates and raise their respective kids with their respective families. Some will be disappointed, but most won't be, and right now, that's the only approach that makes sense. Two supercouples, back together, righting some huge wrongs that Megan McTavish and Kreizman/Swajeski did by "killing" off their characters. And righting the wrong Pratt did by making Aidan a psycho who kidnapped Kendall--that needs to be corrected, too.
I agree with Renee. Bring Dixie and Zach back, but in a dream sequence giving their blessing to their respective spouse to marry their new love. I think the chemistry between Griff and Kendall is awesome and they belong together. Tad and Cara's relationship is more of a "comfortable" one, but nevertheless sincere. I loved Zach and Kendall together, but to resurrect the dead just because the show is ending is pretty lame.
I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, then, but Thorsten Kaye confirmed on his official site that Zach will return "alive and well" and not in a dream. There's nothing official yet about how Dixie is returning.
I'm new to this website, as a member, but a long standing follower: I mean I read the daily updates and ALWAYS click on and read the new magazine covers...
That being said, can anyone tell me if I missed a post about Soap Opera Digest no longer updating their shows, or previewing the new weekly magazines, online? Is that particular person on vacay or something, and have no fill-in???
I'm jonesin', here. I usually get to catch up on my soaps at night time, or in the morning getting ready for work, and this past week was crazy for us, so I missed almost everything!!! :o(
I always, without fail, check the new magazine icon on here, every Monday morning, and NOTHING has been updated, and I can't find a single "contact us" to complain about it... lol, like who am I, right? But I'm upset about it, and if they're no longer updating, then I just won't check back in.
Anyone know ANYTHING???
I think Pratt and Frons have taken over this site. I don't know why they changed it. It's a bunch of crap now. Every time I come to this site, I see the same thing. Nothing is updated. When AMC and OLTL go off the air, my relationship with Soap Opera Digest will be over.
I agree! I think Aidan Devane exit was horrible. I'm hoping LB & AN will bring back Aidan before AMC ends.
I agree with you completely. In real life the dead loved ones do not keep coming back. Dixie should stay in never-never-land and let Tad move on with Cara. They are made for each other. Let Dixie stay dead and gone; if the writers wanted her to be alive, they never should have had her eat the poison pancakes (stupid).
Life at this point in time would be much better off without the likes of Dixie and even Zak.
Zak was a very important piece of Kendall's life; but, let what's gone be gone (as it would have been in real life) and let Kendall move on with Griff. They have met their soul mates.
I realize that ABC is trying to bring back all the characters that have been eliminated over the years for a last hurah...but, why? There is no imitation of real life here. Let the dead remain dead. It would be better for everyones sake.

I agree Dane! Aidan Devane was one of my favorite characters, and I hated the way he was ruined. I hope Lorraine Broderick brings him before AMC ends. He could bring some excitement to most of the current boring storylines.
How cool would it be to see Aidan working undercover to nail Ricky & Zach's Casino Partners? Aidan has done so many odd jobs while investigating people. I loved how he went undetected for a long time in Oakhaven while he was investigating Annie. Tad should call his FishNChips buddy Aidan for help with Griffin's case. That would be a good way to get Aidan back to Pine Valley, and we can see Aiden Turner again before AMC ends.
