AMC Recaps Week of Oct. 31, 2005

Friday, November 4, 2005
The theme of today’s episode was crazy drivers behind the wheel. After Greenlee sped off from Ryan’s hotel, Kendall let it slip that she knew Jonathan was alive, which infuriated Greens. “Who’s side are you on?” Greenlee asked, when Kendall kept persisting that she give Ryan another chance. Kendall said, “The baby’s.” The gal pals ended up at the Roadside bar, which was empty (thanks to Babe taking off after JR), so Kendall made Greenlee a drink. But the bar wasn’t as empty as it looked. Upstairs, a mystery person turned a space heater on and tipped it over. A fire quickly started, and by the end of the episode the girls were both upstairs and shocked.

Ryan and Erin freaked when Jonathan took off in Erin’s rental car. Ryan promised Erin he’d find their brother and went after Jonathan. Ryan went straight to Greenlee’s, but instead of finding Jonathan or his wife, Jack found him. Jack let out some pent-up aggression and knocked Ryan out. (Between JR and Jack, Ryan isn’t having much luck lately!) Meanwhile, back at the motel, Livia arrived and informed Erin she wanted to see Jonathan. One problem: Jonathan was still missing. Without letting Livia know Jonathan was on the lam, Erin promised they’d see her tomorrow. Erin then called upon a detective to help find Jonathan: Aidan. (Hmm, she picked the wrong detective from the yellow pages because her brother murdered this one’s friend!)

Di wanted Tad to prove to her and himself that he didn’t have feelings for her. While he tried to get it through her head he thought she was horrible, she forced her lips on his for a kiss. “There was something there. You can’t deny it,” she said after they parted. When she brought up Dixie again, he said, “If you don’t leave now, I’m going to throw you out of that window.” She left, but made sure he knew she wasn’t leaving town. She wasn’t going to let him erase her.

JR drank, and drank and drank as Babe told him he couldn’t take Little Adam away from her. A belligerent JR was obviously in a ton of pain as he brought up Dixie and Di. When JR walked out of the bar, Babe ran after him. JR sped off with Babe in the car, driving down the road drunk. Babe tried her best to get JR to pull the car over, pointing out that if they died, Little A would be an orphan. JR didn’t slow down, though, and hit a Pine Valley resident: Amanda.
