Monday
Adam and Brooke's emotional conversation about their feelings for one another was interrupted by Annie's arrival. Brooke made herself scarce. Annie then told Adam that JR had done something very cruel to her. She sensed his distraction.
JR agreed to Marissa's request that he stop trying to get the goods on Annie. Marissa wondered why Annie had been so upset earlier. JR claimed that Annie had just been overreacting. Colby entered and took the fall for JR by telling Marissa that she is the one who recorded Annie. Once alone with his sis, JR told Colby that he had proof that Annie wants him. Annie and Adam returned home and Adam announced to JR that Annie had told him everything. JR told Annie that he was sorry for being so harsh to her. Colby dragged Adam out of the room to tell him that she's worried about Brooke. He became upset and hurried off. Meanwhile, JR told Annie that he had only said the things he had said because he was worried that Marissa was eavesdropping. "I really care about you," he insisted. He reminded her that she was jeopardizing her future by violating the terms of the merit trust and said that in order to protect her, he had to resist his desire for her. Annie left the room and Colby told Annie that Adam had left the house. Annie went upstairs and brushed her hair with her shirt off. JR caught a glimpse from the hallway of her undressing. Adam was in the parlor when Brooke entered. "It's Palmer," she said tearfully.
David was acquitted of all charges. He warmly thanked Liza and told her that he owes her a huge favor.
At Fusion, Greenlee thought about Ryan's harsh words to her. Jack arrived and told Greenlee that he wants his daughter back. A fight ensued. Greenlee got a call from David, who informed her of the verdict. Greens hurried to the courthouse to congratulate her hubby. Greenlee told David that she wanted to move forward. They arrived at Wildwind and he thanked her for everything she had done to get him acquitted; she responded with a kiss. David told her that he wanted to make all her dreams come true. Greens told David that she and Ryan are "truly, completely over" and that she felt free. David told Greenlee that he knows Ryan followed her to Europe. She told David about her encounter with Ryan at Fusion. Greens hid the tear she had shed from her hubby.
Jesse backed away from going after Kendall when Ryan showed up at the airport to say that Kendall wasn't coming back to town. Erica was relieved but admitted to Ryan that she misses having Kendall, Zach and the boys nearby. Erica and Ryan saw news of David's acquittal on the television. Ryan ran into Madison while she was jogging in the park and challenged him to a race, which he won. He thanked her for taking his mind off his woes. She admitted that she didn't know if she'd ever get past the trauma she'd experienced with her father and husband. Madison left for her volunteer shift at the Miranda Center and Ryan took Emma out for chicken nuggets. Meanwhile, Erica went to Fusion and Jack told her that Greenlee had just left. She vented to Jack about how Greenlee had "crucified" Kendall on the witness stand. Jack didn't bother trying to defend his daughter and admitted that he doesn't even know who Greenlee is anymore. Erica expressed her genuine sympathy and asked him to spend the evening with her. He was pleased when she confirmed that she was asking him on a date. She was pleased when he accepted. He kissed her passionately. She broke the kiss and answered the phone when Opal called. "Oh, my God," gasped Erica. She told Opal that she would be over as soon as she could. "It's Palmer," she told Jack. "He's gone."
Jesse went to ConFusion, where Liza was fielding press questions about David's trial. Jesse asked Liza if she felt good about getting a guilty man acquitted and left in a huff.
Tuesday
Erica reeled from the news of Palmer's death. Jack comforted her. She agreed to let him accompany her to see Opal.
Adam was shocked when Brooke informed him of Palmer's passing. Brooke opined that Palmer and Adam were more similar than Adam wanted to admit. "How do I honor a man that I hated my whole life?" wondered Adam.
Jake and Angie discussed Palmer's demise. Daisy arrived at the hospital and was devastated when Jake delivered the bad news. Angie fought back tears as Daisy exited. Daisy went to the park, where she was met by Nina. Daisy divulged to Nina that she had yearly rendezvous with Palmer and that she was in Pine Valley at Palmer's invitation and that he must have died while she was on the plane.
Tad found Opal sitting shell-shocked in the dark. She let her son know that Palmer died. She wept that she wished she'd had one more chance to tell Palmer that she loved him. Tad put on the DVD of Hayley's documentary in which Palmer said, "She can deny it all she wants, but I know she loves me." Opal found comfort in the footage. Krystal brought candles in as everyone planned to light one at midnight in Palmer's memory. Jack and Erica arrived and Erica enveloped Opal in a hug. Jack informed the group that Palmer had left instructions that no fuss be made when he passed. The gang went into the kitchen to prepare some fried chicken, "the bird that put Palmer back on top," as Tad put it. Jake and Angie joined the group, then Daisy and Nina arrived and had a warm reunion with Opal. Tad got a special delivery from Hayley containing outtakes from the documentary. Tad put it on. After watching them, the group raised their glasses to Palmer. Daisy reflected on how deeply Palmer had fallen in love with Opal and was shocked when Opal let Daisy know that she knew about their yearly meet-ups. Daisy relayed to Opal that she knows that Palmer sent for her to tell her in person that he was going to discontinue their trysts because of his feelings for Opal. Krystal ushered Adam and Brooke inside. Adam brought the flask he and Palmer had once shared. Nina was grateful for the gesture and invited Adam to stay. Everyone began to share their memories of the man of the hour. Kendall called and Erica excused herself to take the call. Kendall told Erica why she'd decided to stay in Spain and was crushed when Erica relayed the news about Palmer. Kendall offered to be on the next plane home but Erica said that it wasn't necessary. Once off the phone, Kendall began to weep. Opal told Erica that Palmer would want her to look for the love of her life ("like, in the kitchen," hinted Opal — that's where Jack was).
Back at the Chandler house, Adam told Brooke that he was grateful to Palmer for reminding him how quickly life passes. "I could never live with myself if I don't tell you how I feel," said Adam. "I love you." "I love you, too," she said. They kissed.
At midnight, Brooke, Erica, Nina, Adam, Krystal, Tad, Opal, Daisy, Jack, Kendall, Jake and Angie all reminisced and lit candles. "Because of you, my happiest days are still ahead of me," said Adam. Erica hoped that Myrtle, Phoebe and Mona would find Palmer in heaven.
In heaven, Dixie stretched out her hand. "Uncle Palmer," she smiled. "Welcome home."
Wednesday
Angie, upset over David getting off scot-free, told Jake and Frankie about a plan she had set in motion against David. After Greenlee decided to stay married to David, he left to meet with a Pine Valley Hospital board member in hopes of getting his old job back. Upon his arrival at ConFusion, David was greeted by Angie, Jake, and Frankie, who seemed to be celebrating something in honor of David. Angie delivered the news — and the documents— to prove that the state had permanently revoked David's medical license.
Brooke and Adam had stayed out all night together, enjoying each other's company. When Brooke asked Adam how he was, he responded, "I feel wonderful. How else would I feel? You just told me you love me." Brooke reminded Adam that she would not be the one to ruin his marriage to Annie. Adam, understanding, told Brooke he would respect her feelings, and let Brooke go. Brooke assured Adam he was making the right decision by respecting his vows. Brooke then asked Adam to give her time to move out of the house without him being there. After Brooke left, Adam was visited by Stuart, who urged him to "decide who’s in your heart."
Annie had a dream that JR had proposed to her. Downstairs, JR, upset over Palmer’s death, wondered where his father and Brooke had been all night. Marissa became upset at JR for being happy that Adam was out with Brooke. He told Marissa that Brooke could make Adam happy, but Marissa remained upset at JR’s treatment of Annie. The two argued and Marissa left. When Annie came downstairs, JR coyly let her know Adam had stayed out all night with Brooke.
Amanda arrived at Fusion worried when she saw Erica going over her proofs. Erica assured her they were wonderful, but insisted Amanda become more confident because she's "the next big thing." Erica noticed Amanda had responded to fan mail, prompting Erica to urge Amanda not to respond personally because of safety concerns. The screen then cut ominously to a photo of Amanda on a computer screen being manipulated by an unknown "fan."
Jack arrived at Fusion to check up on Erica, bringing the two closer, only to be interrupted by Greenlee. Erica and Greenlee agreed to push up the launch dates, and decided the winner of their contest would take over Fusion. Erica received a call from Brooke and left. Greenlee made her way to ConFusion to learn that David had lost his medical license. When she told him she was sorry for his loss, David responded with, "Don't be sorry. It's just the beginning for me." He then stated his plan to buy the hospital.
To avoid the argument between Erica and Greenlee, Randi and Amanda left to meet with Jake and Frankie at ConFusion. Jake picked on Amanda for not having her wedding ring on. Amanda lied about receiving another e-mail from her fan/stalker. When they arrived back at Fusion, Amanda's wedding ring was missing.
After JR unsuccessfully tried to talk Brooke out of leaving Pine Valley without telling Adam, Brooke left and met up with Erica. Brooke asked Erica to help Adam find another editor for Tempo. Erica agreed, but added, "I won't be able to help him find a new you." Brooke shared her feelings about Adam with Erica. Erica comforted Brooke as she cried. The two found comedy in the tender moment when Brooke joked about getting a video up on YouTube to film this rare, nice "Brooke and Erica moment" they were sharing. Erica offered her private plane when Brooke told her she hadn't booked a flight. Brooke thanked Erica and told her she owed her for this. Erica claimed she didn't need anything, but Brooke brought up Jackson. Brooke said she’d noticed Erica and Jack getting closer, to which Erica replied, "Brooke, I mean this in the nicest possible way: Shut up and take the plane."
JR told Annie he would give her whatever she wanted if she left Adam. Annie named her price: "Tell Marissa it's over and I'll let Adam go." JR, furious and desperate to get his father and Brooke together, admitted the night they slept together was a setup by him, to get rid of her. He said he had taped the whole thing and was going to show his father what a lying, cheat she was, but he had to destroy the evidence because of Marissa. Annie, angered by JR's actions, began to attack him. JR picked up Annie and pinned her on the bed to stop her, and the two started to kiss. As JR and Annie undressed on the bed, Adam walked into the room and saw them.
Thursday
Brot and Natalia bickered and she took him to task for kissing her at ConFusion. Natalia also insisted that she was continuing with her modeling career for herself, not to prove a point to him or to Jesse. Brot pointed out that Natalia hadn't told him not to kiss her again. Natalia arrived for her shoot in the park, where Madison had been put in charge by Greenlee. Natalia was stunned to learn that she would be naked in the shoot (with strategically placed leaves and greenery). When Brot showed up, Nat tried to hurry him away. Brot was concerned when Ciro revealed that Nat would be in the nude. Brot tried to shut down the shoot. Nat begged him to leave. After the shoot, Madison, Natalia and Ciro went to ConFusion. Ciro praised Natalia for a job well done. Brot saw them huddled together, looking at the pictures, and walked out, dejected.
At the hospital, Angie helped Damon prep for his date at the courthouse. Angie presented Damon with the results of his psych evaluation, which diagnosed him with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. When Damon questioned why Angie was being so kind to him, she said that he reminded her of her brother.
At the Martin house, Tad tried to keep Jesse calm as they prepared to go to the courthouse. Brooke showed up with the letter Tad had requested that he write to the judge in support of Damon. Tad saw Brooke's flight papers and asked her where she was going. Jesse excused himself. Tad tried to dissuade Brooke from leaving, but she insisted that she wasn't going to break up Adam's marriage. He and Brooke said an emotional good-bye. Brooke went to ConFusion to see Angie and tried to keep her emotions in check. Angie told Brooke that she had always considered Brooke a role model. After their warm farewell, Brooke reviewed the letter that she had written to Adam. Colby approached Brooke and Brooke asked her to deliver the note to Adam.
Adam walked in on JR and Annie in the process of ripping each other's clothes off. Annie and JR scrambled to cover their actions. Adam barked at Annie to get out. While Adam fought with JR upstairs, Annie had a meltdown downstairs. JR took his self-defense a mite too far by telling Adam that he'd had blinders on ever since he shot his brother. JR urged Adam to reconcile with Brooke. Adam stormed off. Scott walked in and issued an "I told you so" to JR. The cousins fought over what JR had done to Adam, with Scott suggesting that Adam was likely to disown JR and JR positing that that would make Scott happy. Adam went downstairs and waved away Annie's claims of love and devotion. "What a mockery you have made of our marriage," he hissed. He told her that he wished she had walked away from him the night of Stuart's murder. She countered that he had been out the whole previous night with Brooke. Adam told Annie that he never loved her and doubted that she had ever loved him. Colby entered with the letter for Brooke. Adam scanned its contents and went off to find Brooke, declaring, "She loves me, damnit!" Alone, Annie began to weep. After taking her frustration out on the furniture, Annie grabbed a fireplace poker and was wielding it when JR entered. JR tried to throw her out of the house. "Don't you dare come at me with threats," she said. "I lost my marriage because of you!"
Brooke arrived at the airport. She saw someone that looked like Adam and seemed disappointed when the man turned around and revealed himself as a stranger. Adam and Colby arrived at the airport, but it was too late — Brooke's flight had already taken off.
The Hubbards and Tad joined up with Damon at the courthouse. Damon told Tad about his diagnosis. Tad spoke to Damon's probation officer and pleaded with him to make a lenient recommendation to the judge. Tad and Damon celebrated when the judge let Damon go, provided that he go to therapy. Angie shook Damon's hand. Tad thanked the Hubbards for all they had done. Tad asked Damon what was bothering him. Damon admitted to Tad that he's worried that the treatment for ADHD won't work on him and that he'll be a permanent screw-up. Tad pep-talked him and came close to telling Damon that he's his father, but kept mum at the last minute.
Angie and Jesse went to the park and she opened up to him about her desire to help more people than she feels like she can do as head of the hospital. Jesse embraced her.
Friday
At Fusion, Jack and Erica were having a personal moment, which Greenlee interrupted, as usual. Following Greenlee's rude comment, Jack asked Erica to step out while he talked to Greenlee. Jack and Greenlee agreed to disagree over each other's love life choices and find a way to peacefully coexist as father and daughter. A frantic Adam arrived at Fusion telling Erica to call the pilot to turn around the plane and bring Brooke back. Erica gave in and before Adam left, he hugged her and thanked her for everything she's ever done for him.
Erica took Jack with her to look at a yacht for a photo shoot for Fusion. The two began to reminisce over their past together. While on the yacht, Jack made plans for the two of them to have a romantic date, allowing them to relive their past and get closer. As they discussed how much has happened in their lives, Erica said she couldn't believe even Brooke and Adam were back together. Jack commended Brooke and Adam for overcoming great obstacles in order to be together, adding in that sometimes a man will do anything for "an incredible woman you can't get out of your head."
Ryan found David gambling at the casino and used the encounter to gloat about David losing his medical license. Greenlee arrived at the casino to learn that David was gambling in order to win money to buy a controlling interest in the hospital. After learning he was down $50,000, Greenlee offered to chip in and help David with the hospital. At home, David and Greenlee agreed they make a great team. Greenlee asked David for a huge favor-to spare: Angie and Jake because they are her friends. David and Greenlee realized that although they despise different people, the only thing that mattered is how they feel about each other because they were about to become "King and Queen of Pine Valley." After fantasizing about ruling the town, Greenlee kissed David. He stopped her from going further, saying her he wanted to make absolutely certain she knew what she was doing. Greenlee assured him and the two started to make love in front of the fireplace.
After an ominous phone conversation during which Madison said, "I know what I have to do," she arrived at the casino to see Ryan. Aware of her gambling problem, Ryan was surprised to see her in the casino and questioned why she was there. She confessed she had a ton of credit card debt thanks to her ex-husband, and asked Ryan to hire her at the casino. Between her gambling addiction and the long hours at Fusion Ryan was hesitant, but caved when Madison assured him she would be fine.
While on the plane, Brooke remembered her wedding vows to Adam. The pilot informed Brooke they would be making an unscheduled stop. At the airport, Colby asked her father if he was okay with what happened between Annie and JR. Adam assured her he was, and remembered something Stuart used to say to him: "Find happiness wherever you can find it." Colby urged her father to "go and be happy" and the two said their goodbyes. Brooke walked off the plane and was shocked to learn she was back in Pine Valley. Adam joyfully confessed to Brooke that he wasn't married anymore, but Brooke was angry because she assumed Adam went back on his word. Adam informed Brooke that he
had caught Annie in bed with JR, then declared he was leaving Annie whether or not Brooke would accept him into her life. Brooke, worried about Adam's heart, still wasn't sure. He told her, "Having the woman I love next to me is the best thing I can do for my heart." Brooke happily gave in and the two decided to leave Pine Valley together.
At the Chandler mansion, a furious Annie was furious threatened JR with a fire poker. She insisted that they have feelings for each other, but JR denied it. JR was upset with himself because he
wanted her, claimed Annie. As the argument escalated, Marissa walked in and wanted to know what was going on, refusing to let JR kick Annie out of the mansion. After Marissa left, JR told Annie she could stay one night, but he was kicking her out of the mansion tomorrow for the sake of family and marriage. Annie stopped JR as he went to find his father by threatening to tell Marissa everything if she couldn't stay as long as she wanted.
