AMC Week of April 27, 2009
Monday
Zach thanked Bianca for visiting with the kids. He asked if she was going to
see Reese but Bianca said she's trying to move on with her life. Zach noted
that Reese still loves her. Bianca got upset and Zach apologized. Bianca was
surprised to learn that he and Kendall had separated.
After having a vision of Annie, Opal ran out of Ryan's house. Ryan sent Emma
upstairs to finish her homework. Just then, a package arrived from
Alexander Cambias. Ryan read the enclosed note, stating that Alexander has
written his autobiography and wants to have it published. Cambias claimed
to be setting the record straight from his prison cell, where the killer
couldn't stop grinning. Ryan pulled the manuscript from the package and
stared at it. Ryan read the chapters on The Stain Slayer, in which Cambias
blamed Zach for the killings. "He had to suffer," the lunatic noted. Cambias
then claimed that six people perished but one of those victims was not his.
B
Erica coached Reese on going to see Bianca in Paris and encouraged her to
wear the same outfit she wore when they first met. Kendall interrupted and
told Reese that she doesn't deserve Bianca. Reese thanked Erica for her
support and left. "That bitch broke up my marriage," Kendall huffed to her
mother. "You did that all by yourself," Erica shot back.
Amanda and Tad were grossed out watching a birthing video. Jake tried to
calm them, to no avail. Amanda insisted that she wanted to be knocked out
during labor. After she caught Jake using the term, "Little Guy," Amanda
realized that Jake knew the sex of the baby. Amanda was furious and stormed
out, just as Petey and Opal entered. Opal relayed the story of her vision of
Annie. She admitted that she was scared for Ryan but Petey advised his
mother to think good thoughts. He stated that that's how he'll win Colby, as
well.
At the Chandler mansion, Adam told Colby about some of his history with
Liza. She asked to hear about the happy times. Just then, Adam froze up. He
said he needed to lie down and left the room. Colby called Erica and asked
her to come over. "It's Dad. He's scaring me," she relayed. Erica arrived
and told Colby to get some air. Erica then informed Adam that Colby knows
something is wrong. Adam was initially reluctant but conceded that he needed
Erica. Adam confessed that he doesn't remember talking to her earlier. "It's
getting worse, whatever's wrong with me," Adam admitted.
Kendall walked in on Bianca and Zach. Bianca expressed shock that her sis
and Zach split. Bianca then exited, and Kendall and Zach started sniping.
Zach rushed to the airport to stop Reese from going to Paris, while Kendall
opened up to Bianca about her marital split. Bianca blamed herself, stating
that by asking Zach to father her child, she set everything in motion.
Kendall admitted that she thinks Reese is still crazy about Bianca. A
tearful Bianca admitted that she's still in love with Reese and wants to try
again but is scared. Later, Kendall called Zach and asked for a truce.
Petey smiled at Opal when Colby arrived looking for him. Colby confessed to
him that she regretted blowing off Liza and expressed her fear about Adam's
health. Opal read about positive thoughts, then poured herself a drink. She
then had a vision of a bloody Tad.
Amanda went to the hospital for a check up and refused to look at the
monitor. She then changed her mind, stating, "I think I want to see my
baby." She looked at the image and tears welled in her eyes. Afterward, Jake
saw Amanda weeping in the hall.
Ryan showed the manuscript to Tad, in which Cambias claimed that Dixie's
murder by poisoned pancakes was not his doing. Tad was naturally upset and
asked, "If the Satin Slayer didn't kill Dixie, who did?"
In the park, Kendall brought Bianca and Zach brought Reese and reunited the
pair. Though neither said a word, both women smiled at each other.
Tuesday
Tad reeled from Ryan's announcement that the Satin Slayer claimed not to
have killed Dixie. Tad tried to dissuade Ryan from going to see Alexander,
Sr. in jail. He ordered Ryan not to breathe a word about Alexander's claims
to JR. Ryan went to see Cambias, who insisted that his book was factual. "I
did not kill Dixie Martin," he maintained. After goading Ryan to the best of
his psychopathic abilities, Ryan turned to go. Alex told Ryan that Dixie's
real killer would strike again.
Adam informed Erica that his condition was worsening. She warned that she
couldn't provide the support he needed. A bickering JR and Scott entered and
when Adam claimed not to be up to the task of making them cool it, Erica
demanded order. "The bickering stops here," she commanded. Adam told them to
find Colby and bring her to him. The boys snapped to. Erica told Adam that
she was leaving and wouldn't return until he'd gotten his house in order.
Once everyone gathered, Adam told JR, Scott and Colby that they needed to
step up. They were interrupted by Tad, who asked to speak to Adam privately.
He told Adam what was going on with Cambias and impressed upon Adam the
importance of keeping JR from finding out. But JR overheard the tail end of
their conversation and demanded answers, so Tad reluctantly shared the news
of Alexander's Dixie-related claims. JR wanted to know who had tried to
poison Babe's food, if it wasn't Alexander.... Tad and Ryan met back up and
Ryan thought that they needed to take seriously the possibility that Dixie's
killer was still on the loose.
In the park, Kendall and Zach stepped aside to allow Reese and Bianca some
privacy. Binks observed that Reese was wearing both of their rings. Reese
told Bianca that she had changed and asked for another chance. Bianca said
that while she loves Reese, alarm bells were telling her not to let Reese
in. Bianca worried about the impact it would have on the girls if they
reconciled and split again. She also worried about Reese having another
heterosexual episode.
Zach questioned Kendall about why she was trying to help reunite Reese and
Binks. Kendall tried to explain the resentment she had felt toward
Gabrielle. She acknowledged that she had treated Reese and Bianca badly and
said that she wanted to make up for it. Kendall returned home; Erica was
there and Kendall filled her in about Reese and Bianca. Bianca showed up and
when La Kane pressed Binks to forgive Reese, Bianca asked what Erica had
done with her mother. The three women had some quality bonding time,
including teasing La Kane about her relationship with Adam.
Reese went to see Zach at the casino. She was bummed that things hadn't gone
better with Bianca. Reese thought back upon her wedding day to Bianca.
Bianca called and invited Reese over. Reese was overjoyed to be reunited
with Gabrielle.
Erica went back to the manse and Adam reported that he had not told Scott,
JR and Colby about his condition. Erica changed her tune and opined to Adam
that telling the kids would be the worst thing he could do.
Kendall went to the park and encountered Zach.
Wednesday
At Wildwind, David and Marissa got better acquainted. David was impressed by
Marissa's ambition but warned her not to take advantage of Krystal.
At the Chandler manse, Erica urged Adam not to tell his kids about his
condition, after all. When he reentered the living room, he told Scott, JR
and Colby to stop discussing the Satin Slayer and announced that he planned
to retire at the end of the year. He told JR and Scott that they had six
months to prove to him that they were worthy of succeeding him and clearly
relished the idea of putting them in competition with each other. Scott and
JR traded insults as Adam gleefully listened in from the hallway. Scott and
Stuart had lunch at the yacht club and Stuart was stunned when Adam told him
that Adam was considering him to head up the company. Back at the manse, JR
told Adam that he was going to wipe the floor with Scott.
At the park, Zach and Kendall discussed Reese and Bianca's chances for a
reconciliation. She accused him of blaming her for their own breakup. Ryan
arrived and told Zach and Kendall about his visit with Alexander Cambias.
Zach blasted Ryan for having gone to see his father. After Zach left,
Kendall apologized to Ryan for having gone off the deep end. She swore up
and down that she doesn't care about who Zach sleeps with. After losing his
temper over his bad day and talking about how much he misses Erin, Ryan told
Kendall that he would see her around, which she didn't like the sound of.
Later, she went to the penthouse and he told her that it wasn't a good time.
She took off her wedding ring as she pushed her way inside. She told Ryan
that she loves him and only him. "What if I don't believe you?" he queried.
"Then believe this," she said, pulling him into a kiss.
Reese was thrilled to reunite with Miranda, who told Reese that Bianca had
been sad lately. Bianca was affected when she overheard their conversation
and she seemed on the verge of saying something significant to Reese about
their future when Zach returned home. Zach and Bianca chatted while Reese
went to say good-bye to the kids. When Reese came back downstairs, she
fought back tears while bidding Bianca farewell. She turned to leave; Bianca
stopped her and told her she wanted to open the door for them. "We've got a
lot of work to do," she cautioned. Reese said she was game. They hugged and
wept. Erica came to say good-bye and was thrilled to hear that her daughter
and Reese were back together. Gabrielle, in Zach's arms, even smiled at the
news. After Erica and Zach saw Reese, Bianca and the girls off, Erica
lamented that Kendall wasn't there because she was with Ryan.
At the Martin house, Tad told Opal and Krystal about the Satin Slayer's
manuscript. Tad wanted to explore the possibility that someone else killed
Babe and asked if anyone at the mansion had had it in for Babe. Only Adam,
noted Krystal. Tad didn't think it was out of the question that Adam would
have tried to kill Babe, but Krystal and Opal didn't think that poisoned
pancakes was Adam's style. When Krystal returned home, David and Marissa
were playing piano together. They told Krystal that Marissa was going to
move in with them, after all. A worried Krystal tried to act delighted at
the news. David tried to set her mind at ease. Back at the Martin house, Tad
told Jesse about the Slayer's claims. Jesse agreed to help Tad investigate.
Tad said that he was going to find the real killer, and he was going to kill
said killer.
Thursday
JR grumbled when Adam informed him that Scott had held a press conference
about the valve, beating JR to the punch. Scott said that he had just wanted
to get a jump on the competition, not one-up JR, and that the valve was
ready for the next stage of testing. In a private talk with Adam, Scott
expressed his desire not to get ahead in business, but to make Stuart and
Cindy proud.
Kendall and Ryan luxuriated in bed. She jumped up to head to Fusion but
changed her mind, saying that she wanted to spend the day with Ryan. Ryan
thought it was a good idea for her to go to work but wanted to take her to
dinner that night. In his view, it was time for them to go public. She
agreed.
At Fusion, Amanda asked Erica to rehire her. La Kane expressed her
reservations and excused herself to think when Jake showed up. Amanda vented
to Jake about how her attachment to the baby was growing stronger.... Brot
and Taylor came to check in on Randi, who was worried because she had been
unable to connect to Frank. Brot and Taylor filled Randi in about the
success of Brot's speaking engagement in Florida. Taylor sighed that she
still didn't know what she wanted to do with her life. After Brot left,
Taylor tried to get Randi to open up about how she was really doing. Kendall
arrived and Erica chastised her for being late. Kendall explained that Ryan
had gone to see Alexander and had been upset. Erica was more concerned about
how Zach must be reacting to Alex's reappearance. Kendall insisted that she
and Zach were through and wanted her mom to butt out. She then praised Randi
for remaining focused despite her personal issues. Kendall had to sign off
on some papers and hesitated when she signed it "Kendall Hart," not "Kendall
Hart Slater." Ryan arrived and planted a big, public kiss on Kendall before
whisking her away to dinner. They shared a romantic dinner and dance at the
yacht club.
Tad brought Alexander's manuscript to Zach, who didn't want to read it. Tad
said that he couldn't let the matter go because of Dixie. Back at the Martin
house, Tad and Jesse reviewed who had been living at the Chandler mansion at
the time of Dixie's murder. JR showed up and wanted to know what Tad had
uncovered, noting that he loved Dixie as much as Tad did. JR wondered if
Adam might have had something to do with it, since he was the only one in
the house who had beef with Babe. Later, Stuart came over and Tad and Jesse
questioned him about the night Dixie died. Stuart told Tad that had seen
Adam with the ribbon at the gate before Jamie found it.
At ConFusion, Jake told Amanda that he had seen her at the hospital during
her sonogram. She reiterated that she couldn't keep her little boy even
though it was getting increasingly hard. JR showed up to discuss the heart
valve with Jake; Scott arrived shortly thereafter. The cousins each lobbied
for Jake to do what they wanted (JR wanted him not to perform surgery with
the valve; Scott had the opposite desire). After they left, Amanda told Jake
she didn't think she could give the baby away. "I've fallen in love with
him," she admitted. Across the room, Randi grew pensive when Frank failed to
show for their computer date. She got a call and demanded to know if
something had happened to her husband.
Zach thought back to Alexander's harsh words about Kendall and to happy
times with his ex. Erica came over and they discussed Alexander's book. Zach
acknowledged to Erica that there had been a time when Kendall loved him and
only him. Later, Zach was stunned when Liza showed up, pulled him into a
kiss, and told him that she'd heard he'd been looking for her.
JR went home and broached the subject of Alex's manuscript with Adam. Adam
decried Cambias as a fool, but JR was clearly suspicious of Adam.
Friday
Angie treated Opal, whose visions were causing her immense stress. Opal had
a horrifying vision of Adam's corpse. Just then, Natalia called with news
about Frank, which had been relayed to her by a distressed Randi. Jesse got
a similar call. They both rushed home and Randi informed them that Frank's
convoy had been ambushed. Angie tried to keep it together as she fearfully
asked if her son was dead.
At Wildwind, Marissa gave David a massage and they bonded over their mutual
financial greed. When Krystal entered and saw them in an intimate position,
she tried to hide her discomfort.
JR tried to badger Adam into admitting that he killed Dixie. Adam suffered a
seizure; JR thought he was faking as Erica banged on the study door,
demanding to be let in. Adam lost consciousness and after the paramedics
came, Erica blasted JR for having tormented his father. At the hospital,
where Colby joined them, Erica tried to reassure the girl. Tad showed up,
having gotten a message from Tad. Erica and JR told Tad about JR grilling
Adam about Dixie. Gayle called David with the news of Adam's seizure. David
excused himself from Wildwind. After David left, Krystal snapped at Marissa
to keep her hands off her husband. Marissa was upset that Krystal thought
she was a "ho." Back at the hospital, Tad, fresh from his meeting with
Stuart, who had become upset when Tad and Jesse asked him why he hadn't told
the police about seeing Adam at the gate with the ribbon the night that
Dixie died, told JR and Erica that he had come into some new information
that made him believe more in the possibility that Adam could be guilty....
David was called in to see Adam after a neurologist, Dr. Patel, recommended
David check his heart. Colby was not happy about it. As she went into the
hall, David couldn't help but smile.... When Tad told JR and Erica about
Stuart seeing Adam by the gate, JR noted that Stuart never lies. Erica,
however, refused to believe that Adam would have killed Dixie. She went to
see Adam, who was confused about what had led him to be hospitalized. Erica
asked him point-blank if he had killed Dixie. "I don't know," Adam
sighed.... A troubled Stuart went down to the gate and recalled his
encounter with Adam and the ribbon on the gate. He remembered that Adam made
him promise not to tell anyone that he spotted him there.
At Zach's, Liza accused Slater of having cheated in the card game he'd won
at the casino. After a little sexual innuendo, they each picked a card,
agreeing that whoever plucked the higher value would win their rematch. She
bested him. When the baby monitor went off, Liza was surprised to learn that
Zach had a child. "I have two," he corrected. Zach left to check on the
kids, then returned and told Liza that his son was upset because he wants to
know her name. Liza continued to sidestep his questions. (It was unclear
whether Liza, who had seen Kendall's picture, recalled that they were
formerly business partners.)
Marissa insisted to Krystal that she had no plans to seduce David. "He's old
enough to be my father and I'm not into the whole Dad experience," she
stated. Krystal apologized for jumping to conclusions and admitted she's a
little shaky. Krystal then revealed that she let David down regarding Little
A. She confessed all about the custody hearing but Marissa assured Krystal
that David loves her. Opal showed up at Krystal's and dragged her away from
Marissa to report her latest disturbing vision. She added that on her way
over, she passed the Chandler mansion and the attic windows were red like
blood. Krystal tried to calm down her friend, not an easy task.
When Taylor joined the Hubbards, she assured them that the news was good
because there had been no knock at the door from a soldier (which indicated
a fatality). Just then, there was a knock at the door. "Don't answer it,"
Angie cried. It was Brot. Taylor told him about the ambush. Brot and Taylor
tried to assure the Hubbards that Frankie would be okay. Their words did
bring some comfort. "He's coming back to us," Brot assured. Just then, the
power went out. By candlelight, Angie led the group in a prayer circle.
