Greens shook off thoughts of Ryan to pretend to David that she's committed to their marriage.
Kendall told Zach that she'd be home soon, then urged Ryan to be mindful of his health. Kendall told Ryan that she'd been invited to dinner with David and Greenlee. She went to the yacht club, where David told Greens that he'd invited Kendall as a surprise for her. Kendall privately told Greens that she was going to help Ryan extract her from her marriage. Meanwhile, Ryan, who had sneaked out of the hospital, broke into David and Greenlee's room. Kendall excused herself to check on Ryan and they were both stunned when Zach entered the hotel room. Zach called Kendall out for lying to him about Ryan's condition. They tried to quickly explain matters to Zach. Greens tried to convince David that she was making a serious effort to work on their marriage. Greenlee met up with Ryan outside her room while the Slaters discussed her involvement in Greenlee and Ryan's lives.
Scott begged Marissa not to tell JR and Annie about their sack session. JR and Annie entered and Marissa told then that she believes they didn't sleep together at the cabin. Annie and Marissa exited and JR confronted Scott about stealing Palmer's nanotech idea. JR warned Scott that he, not Scott, would lead the family. After Marissa and Annie had a tense conversation, Marissa told Scott that she didn't know how long she would be able to keep their secret. Annie then approached Scott and Scott told her that JR wasn't going to turn him in. They celebrated. Upstairs, JR gave Marissa a gift and told her how badly he wanted to regain her trust.
Asher pulled Colby back from the ledge when she nearly slipped off the roof shouting about her love for Damon. Damon showed up and thanked Asher for saving Colby. She recognized Asher from the park and asked him if he'd followed her. Asher denied it. Asher took up Damon on his offer to crash at the Martins'. Colby saw Asher shirtless and was tongue-tied. Asher claimed never to have heard of the Chandlers.

JR told Marissa that he'd do whatever it takes to fix their relationship. "It's not you, it's me," she replied. "I've turned into someone who I don't recognize anymore.... I can't be here," she finished. She went to check on AJ and JR sadly watched her leave.
Annie told Scott that she was scared of losing him. "You're my rock. You're what keeps me grounded and steady and sane," she stated. Scott blushed and asked her not to put him on a pedestal. "I can, if you deserve it," she said. She wanted to write their wedding vows right then and there and grabbed a pen and paper. AJ interrupted them, complaining that his stomach hurt. Scott determined that the little boy had had too many cookies. Annie smiled as Scott held AJ on his knee and imagined them as a family. Marissa and JR later joined them and tried to make AJ feel better. JR praised Marissa's mothering skills, but she asked him not to push it. Annie then tried to make small talk with Marissa and Marissa snapped at her. She went to get medication for AJ, but when JR offered to drive Marissa to the hospital, she refused. Before heading out, she shot Scott a pointed look. Later, Annie told JR that she's worried about Marissa. JR noted that it would be a long time before Marissa trusts him again. Annie admitted that she and Scott are doing alright, but could be better — and asked JR to help with her relationship.
At the Yacht Club, David caught Zach and Kendall outside of his room and asked what they were doing there. He let them in and Zach explained that he just wanted to talk to him. David insisted that he had nothing to do with the plane crash, then suggested that they toast to their return to Pine Valley — or to their imminent departure. David then brought Kendall and Zach to see Greenlee and they exchanged small talk about the Slaters' kids. David again questioned Zach about his reasons for coming to town and believed that Slater was keeping something from him. Zach continued to ask him about the plane crash and Kendall accused David of being paranoid. Zach warned that if he learns that Hayward had anything to do with the crash, he'll come back and find the doc. After, the Slaters stepped away and David wished to Greenlee that at least one person in the town didn't loathe him. "You're looking at her," Greens replied.
Frankie helped Madison bring home groceries and looked forward to her cooking him a meal. She warned him that it might not taste good. Later, she visited Ryan at the hospital and was happy to see him sitting up in bed. He told her that he didn't have a relapse — and was faking. She was angry with him for letting her think he was dying. He explained that it had to do with Greenlee. "I should've known," she sighed. Ryan elaborated that David is blackmailing Greenlee and she wants to leave him — and that he was trying to get the goods on Hayward. "Why should I believe you?" Madison asked.
David and Greens went to the hospital. David spied Marissa and went to see why she was there. She explained that she was getting meds for AJ. David asked if something else was bothering her and she laughed bitterly; he offered to help, but she didn't want his assistance. She began to go on about how she doesn't recognize herself anymore, then stormed out of the hospital.... Greenlee visited Ryan and he informed her that he found nothing in David's safe. He warned her to leave before David saw her with him. Madison promised to keep their secret. After Greens left, Ryan told Madison to let him have it. Madison shrugged and stated that playing the hero is who Ryan is and that's why she wants him in her life. Frankie saw them smooch.... Greenlee found a dejected David in the lobby; he lamented that he'd lost his daughter — again. Greens noted that it can be difficult to connect with a parent later in life, as she did with her father, but in the end, she still loved him. David hoped that Greenlee's words also applied to them.
Scott implored Marissa not to tell JR about them, but she hated having to keep quiet. Scott noted that if she 'fessed up, it would ruin her and JR's relationship, as well as his and Annie's. She gave in and agreed to keep mum.... Annie asked JR to get rid of the proof that Scott stole Palmer's nanotech idea. He reluctantly agreed. Later, Annie spied Marissa and Scott together and wondered if something was wrong. Marissa explained that she'd had a run-in with David and Scott was just being a good listener.
Zach and Kendall thanked Bianca for taking care of their kids. Bianca introduced them to Caleb and hoped that her sister was staying in town for a while. Kendall acknowledged that this is her favorite time of year. Bianca took Spike upstairs and Kendall thanked Zach for not telling David what she and Ryan had been up to. She wondered if he was angry with her; he replied that he wasn't angry with her wanting to help Greenlee, but didn't like her lying to him about Ryan dying. Zach noted that every time they go to PV, she gets caught up in some kind of drama, and that she doesn't trust him with Ryan. Kendall didn't think that Zach acted rationally when it came to Ryan and apologized for not filling him in. Caleb later asked Zach if his family was staying long and wished Zach luck in "getting out." Later, the Slaters discussed their life and Kendall insisted that she loved their life together. He suggested that she stay in town for a party that Bianca was throwing over the summer and Kendall was thrilled. Kendall promised to come running back to Zach after the summer. He was pleased to see her so happy. Kendall then told Bianca the good news about her extended stay.
Wednesday
Jake and Amanda greeted each other with a kiss. She noticed the file he had with him and he explained that Angie had given him a big request — to take over as Chief Of Staff at the hospital. Amanda was happy for him, but Jake believed that Angie was the best person for the job.
Brot's bandages were removed after his surgery. Natalia joined him and asked the doctor how Brot was doing. She was anxious about whether he'd be able to return to work, but Brot urged her to "chill." She hoped that she could report back to the station with good news, but he didn't want her to worry about him. She left and Brot asked if the doctor would have to fix his eye again; he replied that he might.
Madison stopped by Frankie and Randi's to get the rest of her things. Randi prepared to leave for a modeling shoot and invited Frankie to join her. He turned her down and she suddenly realized that he wanted to be with his mother. She felt badly and didn't want to go to her job, but he encouraged her to do so. Before leaving, Randi asked him to tell Angie that she's in her prayers. Madison overheard and asked what was going on with Angie; she added that he didn't have to tell her, but promised to be there for him. He admitted that he can't really talk to Randi about his problems because she's embarking on her new modeling career. Frankie then shared that his mom is going blind. She promised not to say anything about it to anyone. Frankie recalled how his mom had to act as both mother and father to him while he was growing up, and was always there for him. He hated the idea that she wouldn't be able to see — literally — her baby's milestone moments.
Jesse wanted to drive Angie to work but she planned to take a cab. She then became emotional as she revealed that she's going for a sonogram and doesn't want to do it alone. "Jesse, I can't do this without you," she cried. Jesse was surprised that she didn't think he'd want to be there. She replied that they disagree about what to do about her vision; she refused to take drugs that could endanger their baby's life. "I care about you. We're a team," he told her gently and insisted on driving her. Soon, Amanda and Jake stopped by the Hubbards and Amanda presented Angie with various maternity gifts, including an offer to take her to pre-natal yoga classes. Jake brought up the Chief Of Staff position, which surprised Jesse. Angie noted that she can't keep her disease and pregnancy a secret — and didn't want David to pick some "robot" for the job. "I know that you're the best for this," she stressed to Jake. After, Jake admitted to Amanda that he really doesn't want the job. They went for a walk with the baby outside and he explained that he doesn't like being the boss. Amanda encouraged him to be truthful with Angie, but he feared that he'd be letting her and Amanda down. Jake didn't want to work long hours and desert his family, but Amanda assured him that they'd be fine. "It's not the right job for me," he finished, noting that in Pine Valley, people expect the Martins to live up to certain standards. "I belong out in the field helping patients." He wondered how to tell Angie.
At the hospital, Brot was surprised to see Randi. She explained that she'd twisted her ankle at her shoot. He wondered if she was going to ask about his surgery; she answered that she didn't want to pry. Brot appreciated her respecting his space and introduced Randi the "clumsy supermodel" to his doctor. She offered to drive him home... Madison finished packing up her stuff and reminded Frankie how strong Angie is. She made him promise to talk to her if he needs a confidante. He insisted that she invite him to her new place; she agreed, but said that Ryan was going to get the first invite. They shared a hug. Natalia soon entered and spied them in the embrace. After Madison left, Natalia pointedly asked where Randi was and he explained that she was at a photo shoot.... Brot was surprised when Natalia later greeted him at his place. Randi admitted to calling her. He thanked Nat for coming and said that it meant a lot to him to have her care.
Jesse and Angie arrived at the appointment for her sonogram. The OB/GYN, Bonnie, asked if Jesse was prepared to pamper his wife and he said that he was. She then began the procedure and the baby appeared on the screen. Jesse's eyes filled with tears as he eyed the fetus. The doctor reported that the heartbeat was perfect. "It's incredible, isn't it, how the love is instantaneous?" the doctor marveled. Angie also began to cry. The doctor let Jesse help with the sonogram tool. "Wow!" he exclaimed as he listened to the heartbeat. Later, they returned home and Angie asked if her husband was okay; she noted that he was just going through the motions at the hospital. He insisted that he was fine, but she didn't want him to put on an act for her benefit. Angie's vision suddenly became worse. He tried to get her to sit down, but she wanted to finish their discussion. "I came close to being alone when I saw my child for the first time," she stated. "You're not alone," he replied. "Technically," she corrected and accused him of isolating himself from her. "I may not be able to see you, but I know when you're holding back," she said. "We level with each other. Whatever it is that you think you can't say, say it! I want you to tell me if you are going to resent this baby if I go blind." Jesse answered that he wants the baby, but the sacrifice is killing him. "There's nothing I can do to help you and that is just going to eat at me a little bit every day for the rest of this beautiful child's life," he admitted. "None of this is your fault," she reminded him and said that he's helping her. "I know that this is going to take some time for you to accept, but you are giving everything that you can. The only thing that I ask is that you're honest along the way," she told him. He lamented being powerless to help her and she urged him to have faith. "I know this is not how we imagined any of this to be, but the world is like that sometimes," she said. "We will hang tough together." "You're sure we can get there?" he asked. "Yes," she said firmly. "I believe in us, Jesse, and I know we can do anything — as long as we do it together."
Thursday
While at the hospital for a physical, Natalia asked Frankie about how things are going at work and rightly guessed that David was making his life hell. Greenlee, meanwhile, found David in the park and overheard him offer to pay someone off to keep quiet about his role in Erica's plane crash. After David got off the phone, he ran into Greenlee and asked if she was following him. Greenlee claimed to have tracked him down because an important board member was trying to reach him about a hospital matter.
Angie watched from the door as Jesse cleaned up the apartment and came across their ultrasound pic, stopping to gaze at it. When he caught her standing there, she assured him that she can see today but is having some morning sickness. She then insisted that she keep going to work so she can ensure that David picks an appropriate replacement for her. Krystal stopped by for a visit and Angie gave her the good news about the pregnancy. While Jesse was at the hospital, Angie told Krystal the rest, about her eyesight and the medication. Angie admitted that while she's been telling everyone she can handle the blindness, she is scared. Krystal agreed to help Angie buy some clothes to hide the pregnancy from David. Later, just as Angie was having another blind spell, David arrived and demanded that Angie tell him what's going on with her. Jesse intervened and showed David the door before he could figure out that Angie can't see. He then presented his wife with a gift, which she determined by touch was a frame for the sonogram image.
Upon his release from the hospital, Madison escorted Ryan home to his apartment, where she gave him a Snuggie as a gift. He gave her a few kisses in return, but she told him to take it easy while she stepped out to pick up his pills. Greenlee rushed in after and revealed that she's thisclose to finding the mechanic who David paid off. She noticed all the flowers and balloons that Madison put around the place and wistfully remarked how things had changed since she lived there. Ryan took the cell phone that Greenlee swiped from David and went to call the mechanic, just as Madison returned home. Madison told Greenlee to back off and let Ryan convalesce in peace. A p.o.'d Madison then gave Ryan his meds and headed to the office. Once she was gone, Ryan informed Greens that their plan worked: He was going to meet the mechanic in Delaware in a few days.
After witnessing Madison's exchange with Frankie, Natalia asked what's up with the two of them, noticing how they're all buddy buddy lately. Frank insisted that they're just friends, just like Jesse and Jenny were back in the day, and made a crack about Brot being Natalia's "friend." Natalia refused to discuss Brot's crush on her, while Frankie assured his sister that Madison does not pose a threat to his marriage. Frankie took a lunch break and found Madison brooding in the park. She admitted to being jealous of Greenlee's place in Ryan's life and how Ryan is always running to her
rescue. Frankie gave his pal a comforting hug. Meanwhile, Ryan assured an uncertain Greenlee that they're close to bringing down David, and gave her a lingering good-bye hug.
Friday
Greenlee was on the phone discussing her plan to ruin David when David
himself walked in on her. She panicked and quickly tossed her phone on the ground. David groused about Angie trying to turn everyone against him, then called Greens out on acting suspicious and demanded to know who she was on the phone with when he entered. She covered and said it was Kendall but he didn't believe her so she told him to check her call log. David said he trusts her and praised her for reaching out to a friend.
Angie recorded medical notes about her condition. She admitted to Jesse
that her report is becoming more of a diary. She fretted to her hubby about David finding out about her condition before she can get Jake back as her replacement at the hospital. Jesse urged her not to worry and sweetly recorded his own "diary" about how amazing his wife is.
Marissa thanked Caleb for helping her study for the bar exam. Krystal later came by and tried to comfort Marissa, who was distraught over sleeping with Scott. Meanwhile, JR phoned Marissa to find out when she's coming home and pointed out that AJ is missing her.
Annie had a nightmare about Scott leaving her on their wedding day and being teased by a vindictive Marissa. Scott tried to comfort her when she awoke but she distracted herself with wedding plans. As she walked out of the room, she ran smack into JR. Awkwardness ensued. JR was worried about Caleb going after the company books. They traded barbs when Marissa's whereabouts were brought up.
Marissa finally came home where JR confronted her about what happened. He urged her to give their relationship another shot and started to kiss her
but she freaked out and flashed to her own steamy encounter with Scott.
"Stop, JR. Just stop," she cried and rushed out. Later, Scott followed her
and wanted to know what was going on. She assured him that she didn't come clean about their sex session but tearfully expressed her guilt. Scott told her they can move on and that he's still planning to wed Annie. Marissa called him out on making excuses to postpone the nups. Meanwhile, back at the Chandler manse, Annie told JR about her disturbing dream and tried to figure out what it all means. "I'm trying to hard to prove myself and earn my own happiness," she cried and worried about losing Scott like she did Adam and Ryan. They shared a hug and a very charged moment as JR declared, "There's just something about you that's worth fighting for, Annie." Scott interrupted the moment and was suddenly eager to get married today. Annie was elated and told JR it's time for them to say good-bye. He kissed her on the cheek.
At Krystal's, Krystal told Angie and Jesse that she thinks Caleb can help
her out of a legal loophole and help them get David kicked out of the
hospital so she introduced them to the legal eagle. Caleb was on board.
Later, David and Annie arrived for lunch. Krystal refused to seat them in
her place. Greens defended her hubby and proclaimed him a hero. David was surprised, especially when Greens said she meant every word.
Jesse and Angie took a walk through the garden. "I'm so sure there's a
reason for this and somehow I know that it's going to be okay," Angie
assured him. Later, she was rattled when she couldn't see the flowers Jesse had given her. Meanwhile, Krystal thanked Caleb for helping Angie fight David.
Greenlee broke into Ryan's place. "What am I doing?" she asked herself and continued to walk around and looked at some photos of them together.... While Jesse went to go get ice cream, Angie didn't recognize the man approaching her. It was David. "Angela, what's wrong with your eyes?" he sneered.
