Monday
Marissa complained to Krystal about the deal that David made with JR. Krystal defended JR and Marissa accused her of having come on JR's behalf.
Tad went to the hospital in search of David. Joe told Tad about Jeff and Jamie's efforts to raise money for the starving children of Africa. David entered and confronted Tad about why he'd been inquiring into his whereabouts. Joe took responsibility and told David about the humanitarian trip. When Joe and Tad were alone again, Tad said he couldn't travel to Africa at the moment. Tad wouldn't answer Joe's questions about his interest in David's schedule.
Adam told JR about an uptick in Chandler profits. Adam thought Scott was
largely responsible. Annie listened in. JR noticed her and accused her again
of being after Adam's money. Annie reassured Adam of her devotion. Annie was
privately annoyed when Adam asked her to keep the wedding budget low.
Scott saw Liza at the hospital and asked her how Marian was doing. An upset
Liza said that she was still catatonic and started weeping. JR showed up and
picked a fight with Scott. Scott was annoyed when JR copped to having sent
Krystal in to work on Marissa. David overheard the tail end of their conversation. JR went back into Marissa's room. Krystal left and Tad and Joe told her about the humanitarian trip to Africa while, back in Marissa's room, JR tried to get her to forgive him. Marissa allowed JR to help her take a walk down the hallway... David approached Scott and tried to incite him to fight JR for Marissa's affections. He then encountered JR and Marissa in the hallway and JR warned him that David better get used to seeing them together because he was falling in love with her. After David left, JR and Marissa kissed.
Zach visited Kendall in the secret room. She got out of the room to tend to
her fussy kids. Erica came by the house unexpectedly and expressed her worry
about Kendall. She asked Zach to get Kendall to see him at the station by
claiming to need to speak to her about the boys. Zach panicked when Spike
ran into the room and Erica insisted on tucking him back in herself. Kendall
hid in time, but left her glass of juice behind, and Spike called it "Mommy's juice." Zach convinced Erica that Spike has made up an imaginary mommy to cope with Kendall's absence. After Erica left, Kendall expressed to Zach her fear that they couldn't keep up their ruse for long.
Liza and Zach went to see Adam. Zach was confident that Adam would give him
the loan he was seeking. Annie immediately dismissed Zach's request but Adam
overrode her, telling Liza to draw up the paperwork. After they left, Zach commented to Liza that now they just needed to get Annie to admit that she's
guilty. Annie was upset with Adam for agreeing to give Zach the $1.5 million
loan but he claimed to be doing it for her. After Adam left, Scott entered
and Annie told him that Adam was starting to lose his mind.... Zach got home
and Kendall was out of the room, having prepared a romantic dinner for them.
Before they could sit down, though, the doorbell rang. It was Liza.lyn
Tad went to see Opal, who remained stricken over Trevor's absence. He told
Opal that Jake and Amanda were in Massachusetts investigating a lead. Tad
learned when Jake called that the number David had been calling was a pay
phone at a bar.
At ConFusion, Erica went over her NEW BEGINNINGS schedule with a roducer. Krystal came over and tried to talk Erica into coming to Africa with her.
Erica was intrigued by the idea.
Tuesday
Liza showed up at Zach's and Kendall ran to hide in the secret room.
Forgoing Kendall's plans for a romantic dinner, Zach and Liza sat down to
eat the Chinese she brought. Liza asked why Kendall was shutting him out.
She then mentioned his kids, then opened up about her lost time with Colby.
Zach stated that he hasn't given up on Kendall. Just then, Kendall called
from the secret room, and Zach played coy, saying he'd call back after
dinner. "You're having dinner with Liza?" Kendall fumed. Liza decided to
head home. Just then, a fuming Kendall sneaked out and almost got caught.
Zach broke a glass to distract Liza from spotting Kendall. Zach defended
Kendall's innocence to Liza and stated that all Kendall needs is some time
and space. Liza apologized for upsetting Zach and said that Kendall was
lucky to have him, then ducked out. Zach ran out to return her Liza's purse
to her, which she'd forgotten in her rush to leave. Meanwhile, Kendall sat
down with her laptop to do some writing.
Joe and Erica discussed her trip to Africa while she was getting her shots.
Joe then asked Ryan to step out of the room. "Not all these shots are going
in her arm," he smiled. Erica survived her shots. Joe praised Erica for her
humanitarian efforts and bid her adieu. Ryan helped Erica pack, which was
not easy. "How will I fit my Pilates ball in there?" she groaned. Erica
couldn't believe she was going on a trip with no dresses and only one tube
of lipstick. She was then off to New York to get her travel visa. Ryan
offered to take her there and give her a night out on the town. "You sure
know how to give a girl a send off," Erica smiled. In a humorous and sweet
musical montage, Erica and Ryan enjoyed their day and night in the Big
Apple. At the end of their evening, they shared a steamy kiss.
Frankie told Angie that he and Randi had a fight. Frankie was furious,
knowing that Randi and Jesse were keeping something a secret from him and
his mother. They wondered if it had something to do with North's death.
Angie wondered if Randi knew North before Frankie met her. "Don't go there,"
he shot back. Angie wasn't saying she'd been unfaithful; she was talking
about Randi's hooker past. Angie declared that wasn't true. She pointed out
that North may have known Randi back then and maybe, now, he tried something and wouldn't take no for an answer. Frankie didn't want to hear it, then
suggested that maybe Jessie killed North. Frankie then ordered his mother to
get out.
Madison threatened Jesse that she'd spill to the new D.A. if she didn't get
her insurance money. Jesse pointed out that with her involvement in the
cover up, coupled with the extortion attempt, she'd go to jail as well. "I
am the chief of police," he reminded her. Later, Madison went to Frankie and
said she needs to unburden herself. She told Frankie that her husband was
involved with his wife, and they were in love, "Until she killed him." Frankie accused her of lying but Madison insisted that it was true. "The whole time he was with me, he was thinking of her," she spat. Madison suggested that North thought the baby was his, not Frankie's. "No!" he replied. "If you don't believe me, ask your father," Madison shot back.
Randi held Trevor in her arms and said she'd never, ever abandon him. With
Jesse's help, Natalia traced Randi's credit card and found her with the
Trevor. Randi explained how she found the baby and ignored Natalia pleas to
take the baby to the police. "I was meant to find him," she insisted. Randi
explained that she was on her way to church to ask God for forgiveness, and
God gave her a second chance. Natalia pointed out that Randi will get in big
trouble if the cops find out.
Angie went to the PVPD and told Jesse that Randi has disappeared. She then
demanded that Jesse open up to her immediately or their life together would
be over.
Wednesday
Colby and Pete babysat for Stuart. When Liza arrived to find flowers from
David, she threw them out. David phoned and told Colby he'd be coming over.
At the hospital, Tad insisted to Taylor that David has Trevor. She overheard
the tail end of David's conversation and they worried that Jake and Amanda
had missed intercepting "the package," which they believed to be Trevor....
Liza apologized to Stuart for the mess she'd gotten him into.... Taylor
visited Opal, who remained stressed about the missing baby. She agreed to
let Opal read her palm. Opal liked what the reading revealed about the
strength of Taylor's character.
At the Pine Cone, Randi explained to Natalia how finding the baby had saved
her life. She begged Nat not to take him away from her but promised to
involve Frankie in the decision. The cops showed up at the motel but by
then, Randi and the baby were gone. Randi, Natalia and the baby arrived at
Frank and Randi's place.
At the police station, Jesse told Frank and Angie that Randi killed North
and he'd covered it up. Frank asked for all the details; Jesse filled in the
blanks. Angie said that she understood that Jesse had done what he felt was
best. Frank reported that Madison had told him that Randi killed North.
Angie was shocked when Jesse confirmed that Madison knows everything. Jesse and Angie went home and he told her that the cops had narrowly missed Randi. Jesse also told Angie that it had been hell to keep the secret from her.
Angie told Jesse that he'd done the right thing by protecting Randi but that
he'd made a mistake by not sharing the secret with her. She felt that they
now needed to focus on their family and getting back what they had.
David arrived at Liza's after the teens left and apologized for having
spoken to her so harshly. Liza told David that he had been right; she was
incapable of loving anyone else. David thought that perhaps she just hadn't
met the right man. Liza told him that his apology was accepted and asked him
to leave. Tad showed up after David left and demanded an explanation as to
what David had been doing there. He revealed that he had followed David from
the hospital and Liza panicked that it had something to do with her child.
Tad was forced to reveal that Stuart isn't Amanda's baby and that Amanda's
baby is missing. Tad asked Liza to cozy up to David in order to get info on
whether he had Trevor.
Liza snuggled with her son, celebrating the fact that nobody (read: David or
Amanda) was going to come after him.
David returned to the hospital and released Opal, but not before getting
under Opal's skin about Amanda again; Petey took her home. Tad met back up
with Taylor at the hospital; she wanted to go to the police about the
missing baby but Tad vetoed the idea. Natalia, meanwhile, called the missing
persons department and asked if any babies had been reported missing in the
last 24 hours.
Frankie was relieved to find Randi home when he returned to the apartment.
He told her that he knew about North. He looked confused when he heard a
baby start to cry and asked Randi who it was.
Thursday
Randi explained to Frankie that she found a baby for them, but he wanted to
call Social Services. Frankie bonded with Trevor as Randi declared her
belief that they are meant to have this baby. She recalled her own experience in foster care and denounced "the system." Frankie wanted to take the proper legal steps, but after witnessing how at ease Randi was with the baby in her arms, he agreed that they should keep him.
Via Skype, Erica told Ryan all about her time in Africa. Despite her 15-hour
plane ride, Ryan noted how good she's looking. Meanwhile, Krystal checked
out the tent and giggled to herself that Erica wouldn't be too pleased to
see their twin cots. She enjoyed teasing Erica as she surveyed their
"rustic" quarters and snapped a cell-phone photo for proof that Erica Kane
was this close to dirt. Erica was determined to disprove Krystal's
assumptions about her intolerance for their temporary living arrangements.
After Erica was forced to blog on a notebook, Krystal pointed out that her
entry sounded like a speech and challenged Erica to really put herself in
the shoes of the children. Erica surprised Krystal by speaking some Swahili
and boasted that she did her homework. Krystal was later satisfied when
Erica jumped at the sound of an animal during the night ... until a scorpion
found its way onto Krystal's chest.
Scott teased Annie about how nice it'll be to have access to Adam's money as
his newest wife. Jackson arrived with the good news that Dr. Nolan found
Annie competent to stand trial. Jack promised to defend her as best as he
can but noted that she may still end up serving some jail time. Adam waltzed
in and confidently announced that Annie would be exonerated, but when Jack
revealed that he's leaving the country, her face dropped. While Annie was
off retrieving photos of potential wedding gowns, Scott asked Adam if he
planned to pay off the judge. Later, Scott flinched when Annie crept up
behind him as he was thinking back to Adam asking if Scott had ever felt
something for another man's woman.
Kendall was napping while Zach read her manuscript, conjuring up an image of
Zach and Kendall making love, and Kendall awoke and instructed him to read no
further. Meanwhile, Angie wanted to know why Jesse insisted on keeping a
secret from her and even asked if there was another woman, but he assured
his wife that only she has his heart. While Ryan was confronting Zach about
his shady deal with Adam, Kendall listened from the secret room. Liza
arrived bouncing her adopted baby on her arm, and when Zack observed that
the child looks nothing like David, Liza revealed that her original plan
didn't work out. Meanwhile, Kendall furiously deleted her love scene and
suddenly gasped as she felt a pain in her chest.
Friday
In the secret room, Kendall clutched her chest and collapsed. Struggling to
breathe, she reached for her cell phone but couldn't grab it. Meanwhile, in
the house, Zach chatted with Liza, and Liza wondered about whether she
should have another man in her life. Zach discouraged her, mentioning the
male dirty sock factor. After she left, Zach told Kendall on the baby
monitor to come out. When she didn't, Zach rushed into the secret room and
found Kendall on the floor. "My pills," she whispered. Zach immediately got
Kendall her medication. Shortly after, Kendall was feeling fine again. She
told Zach that she'd forgotten to take her meds earlier. Kendall told Zach
that if it wasn't for him and the boys, she would die. Zach escorted Kendall
to bed. There, Zach put his head on Kendall's chest and listened to her
heart beating, as Kendall closed her eyes and smiled.
Randi brought baby Trevor to Frankie and said they can now begin their lives
anew. Randi admitted to all of her past mistakes but was convinced that this
was her second chance. "No more secrets," she said. "And no more pasts,"
added Frankie. Just then, Natalia showed up and when the pair kept their
conversation to a whisper, Nat realized the baby was still there. Natalia
tried to convince Randi and Frankie to do the right thing. Frankie countered
that, "Sometimes you have to do the wrong thing for the right reasons."
After Randi went to check on Trevor, Frankie told Nat that the baby is
Randi's only lifeline and he wasn't going to take that away from her.
Tad compared investigation notes with Jake and Amanda, realizing neither had
anything to go on. Tad saw David enter and called Liza and told her to come
meet him at ConFusion. As Tad confronted David, Liza arrived and convinced
David to stay. Tad went up on stage for ConFusion's open mic comedy night
and made David the butt of his routine. David was not amused and afterward,
questioned why Tad would seem to be fixing him up with Liza. Tad said he was
hoping that David would bed Liza and spill all his secrets to her. Neither
David nor Liza thought Tad's remarks were funny. Tad bid adieu, and Liza
said she could go, too. David asked Liza to stay. They chatted about kids,
then David said he had to get back to the hospital and suggested they do
this again sometime. Liza said that would be nice. After David left, Tad
came over and told Liza that she was so good at her job that he if he didn't
know better, he'd think Liza liked David.
In Africa, Erica was awakened in her tent when a scorpion was climbing up
Krystal's chest. Erica was going to leap into action, then reminded Krystal
that she's "just a spoiled celebrity." When Krystal apologized for her
earlier remarks, Erica advised Krystal to let go of her fear. She then told
the scorpion that it was no match for Erica Kane and ordered the deadly bug
to go back to where it came from. Unable to wait for the scorpion's
response, Krystal flung it off of her and said, "That's how we do it in the
trailer park." The women went back to bed but Erica was worried about going
before the cameras. She told Krystal that she needed a script. "Share
yourself," Krystal advised.
Angie confronted Madison and demanded to know what kind of game she was
playing. She ordered Madison to stay away from her family. Madison spilled
about Randi killing North and Jesse covering it up. Just then, Jesse arrived
and told Madison that if she doesn't keep her mouth shut, there'd be no
insurance money and she'd go to jail. Jesse asked Angie to call the police
and recant her autopsy results and say North's desk was accidental. "You
want me to lie?" she asked. Yes, for the sake of their family, he shot back.
Jake and Amanda confronted Nurse Gail at her bar and demanded to know where the baby was. Gail claimed no knowledge of the missing tot and said that
David was her bar benefactor, but asked them to keep David's involvement in
the business a secret. Jake and Amanda agreed, but phoned the info in to
Tad. Later, Gail was sighted preparing to give an injection to an unseen
person.
Back in Africa, when it came time to tape, Erica refused to read a new
script and promised she'd get it all in one take. Erica gave a
compassionate, heartfelt speech about how seeing these needy children
changed her life for the better and encouraged everyone watching to make a
difference. Her speech was intercut with clips of Erica getting to know the
local children, who were laughing and smiling and clearly taken with this
visitor from another land. Later, Krystal admitted to Erica that she was
touched by what La Kane said on-camera. Krystal apologized to Erica for
misjudging her. Erica smiled back at her and the women found a new common
ground between them.
