Monday
David confronted Madison at the coffee shop and reminded her that they both want Ryan to stay away from Greenlee, adding what Madison has to offer in that regard now that she and Ryan are together. She was insulted that he was asking her to play his game and miffed when he said that having Ryan and keeping him are two different things.
Ryan chided Greenlee for coming over to see him. Greenlee worried about Ryan's life being chewed up by getting in the middle of her drama with David. He told her he's in too deep now to bail. Meanwhile, at ConFusion, Kendall warned Liza that Liza's involvement with David could be a conflict of interest with regard to her mom's plane crash. Liza assured her that she knows nothing about David's connection. After, Kendall called Ryan to say she got a lead when she saw David give Liza a key and tried to get some information out of Liza, to no avail. She urged Ryan to come check things out. So, Ryan hightailed it over to confront Liza, who told him to stop stirring the pot because he won't find anything and is just setting himself up to get stung. Liza left. Ryan told Kendal he thinks Liza knows something and is hiding evidence for David. He then groused about how tired he is of everything and just wants it all to be over so things can get back to the way they were, but worried about him and Greens ruining more relationships. Kendall assured him that she and Zach are in a good place, which is why they're moving back.
Scott and Annie were in bed. Scott apologized to his bride about what happened on their wedding day and assured her that he meant every word in his vows and promised never to lie to her again. Then he told her that he couldn't let anything come in the way of them celebrating their honeymoon, even JR's nanotech project.
Back at the Chandler manse, JR and Marissa discussed getting divorced and how they'll share custody of AJ after Marissa gets settled in a new place. JR suggested they do the "Tad and Krystal thing" and have her stay there, but live in separate bedrooms so they can raise AJ together. She wanted a clean break and to avoid all the Chandler family drama so she declined. They agreed to tell their son later. JR apologized; Marissa just wanted him to find happiness. "I hope you're capable of it," she said and left in tears. Colby saw her on the way out. JR told her about the divorce and said he's going to start focus on his family and the company, then asked Colby to come work with him as the future of the family business. He wanted to boot Scott to the curb and get him out of the company for good. Colby berated JR for being vindictive and accused him of acting just like their dad just to hurt Scott, who arrived in time to hear about JR's plan. The men started to fight and attack each other; Damon pulled them apart. "Enjoy your honeymoon," JR smirked. Colby was flabbergasted by his behavior; Scott angrily stormed out.
Marissa tangled with Annie at Krystal's. "You seduced the man I love so you could get back at me!" Annie accused, then rubbed salt in Marissa's wounds by pointing out that her marriage is crumbling while Annie's to Scott is just getting started.
At Fusion, Greenlee apologized to Madison for suddenly popping up all the time. Madison said she's okay with it and pointed out that Ryan's desire to help those in need is what makes him such a great guy. Then she revealed that David tried to turn her against Greens earlier. Later, Madison agreed to support Ryan with whatever he has to do to nab David. They shared a steamy kiss.
Liza went to visit David and said she's starting to feel uncomfortable with the whole plane crash thing. David said he's thinking about letting Greens go and destroying the evidence he has against her. "I'm tired of holding this over her head. I want her to love me and this seems like the only way," he explained. Liza told him that he's crazy if he thinks Greens will forgive him. Liza left as Greens returned home. She was upset and demanded to know what he wanted from Madison, then accused him of not trusting her. He was impressed by her desire to make things work between them and said he's thinking about destroying the evidence. Greens was stunned and agreed to prove her love if he did so.
Back at the Chandler manse, JR eyed the bar. Annie showed up. JR didn't want to talk about what happened. Annie assumed JR had realized that they both had made the right decisions. She was wrong. "Marrying Scott was the biggest mistake of your life and you're going to live with it for the rest of your life," JR sneered. Meanwhile, Asher and Damon urged Colby to take JR's job offer. They griped about their respective crazy families; Colby realized she doesn't have it so bad and admitted she's always wanted to work for the family business.
Tuesday
At the hospital, Jake and Amanda smooched in the hallway. She told him that he's been working too hard and planned to take him to lunch. He noted that he'd be working even harder if he were Chief of Staff. Angie overheard and noted that he really doesn't want the job. He confirmed this and stated that Angie is the best at the position. "No one is irreplaceable," she reminded him, but he disagreed. She argued that she's not in a position to hold down the job. He reluctantly agreed to cover for her while she's on maternity leave and is learning to deal with her vision problems. Angie appreciated him having so much confidence in her and decided to not let him take the job since he was less than enthusiastic. She noted that whoever takes over for her has to be ready to strike against David. He asked what she planned to do and she explained that she has a backup plan. Amanda and Jake went to get some food and Angie got a call from Jesse. She insisted that she's fine, but her vision began to falter. She called for a cab.
At Wildwind, Bianca asked Caleb for help with Kendall's party, but he wasn't eager to co-host and refused. Bianca pleaded with him and he suggested that she hire someone. Caleb grumbled that he doesn't like people, but Bianca pointed out that he's good with her kids. "You might actually enjoy this party," she said brightly. He said that he didn't want to hang around with phonies. Miranda then entered the living room and Caleb played with her. Bianca smiled as she watched them together and called out that Caleb would look great in a tux. Later, Opal came by and Bianca lamented that Caleb wasn't enthusiastic about the event. Opal called him a "stubborn, old mule." Jake and Amanda then stopped by Wildwind to help out and Opal had them stuff goody bags, but he and Amanda ended up sharing a slow dance. She noted that he seemed to be far away and he confided that he felt badly about not being there for Angie. Amanda reminded him that Angie had a backup plan. Opal and Bianca returned and Opal turned into a drill sergeant, ordering Jake to either stuff envelopes or pick up her dress.
Marissa confided in Krystal that she was worried about how AJ would react to the news of her and JR's divorce. Krystal sympathized but believed that she was doing the right thing. Marissa said that JR is blaming Scott for their marriage falling apart. Krystal implored her to stay out of the crossfire. Marissa wanted to make sure AJ was okay and said that she loves the little boy like her own. Krystal asked if JR is okay with her staying in AJ's life; Marissa replied that they're getting joint custody.
Meanwhile, at the Chandler manse, Annie declared to JR that marrying Scott was the best decision she ever made. "I am so over you," she insisted. Scott overheard and asked what JR did to her. "I didn't do anything," JR shrugged. Annie lied that she and JR were arguing over who should cover for her while she and Scott are away. She looked forward to being in "paradise" with her husband. "I expect a postcard," JR snarked and left them alone. After, Scott went on about how JR screwed up his life and is angry because Scott gets to spend his with Annie. After, Scott gave her a present — a sundress with a matching one for Emma. He revealed that they were going to their own island and she was ecstatic. "I want to give you the world," he told her. They declared their love for each other. Later, Annie changed into the dress and she admitted that she'd feared that they would never make it down the aisle. "All of my relationships have been one disaster after another," she sighed. "Not this one," he promised.
JR went to see Marissa and was confronted by Krystal. She was furious with him for hurting her daughter. He promised not to make the divorce any harder than it needed to be. AJ entered and was happy to see his father. Caleb then arrived at the eatery and Krystal went for a walk with him outside. JR and Marissa sat down with AJ and they explained that they're splitting up. AJ became upset as he noted that "Moms always leave." Marissa promised to always be there for him.... Caleb and Krystal went to the park and she encouraged him to attend the party. He invited her to go with him. Krystal returned to the restaurant and sent AJ to get some cookies. She then asked Marissa how the talk went and she replied that it went about as well as it could've gone. Krystal promised that she'd be okay. "I love JR," Marissa cried. Krystal pulled her into a hug. JR returned home and got a call from Annie, asking him to meet her in the park. Scott ran into Marissa and apologized to her for everything. "It's not your fault," she shrugged and encouraged him to be happy with Annie. Scott was doubtful that JR could be the father AJ needs while he's so focused on getting revenge.... JR and Annie met up and she noted that what had happened between them at the mansion — when he told her that marrying Scott was a mistake — could never happen again. "You want me back," she concluded, but JR denied it. "You've made your bed. You have to lie in it — literally," JR stated. "Have a happy honeymoon."
Angie stopped by Wildwind to wait for Caleb and spent time with Miranda. She tried to act like everything was okay, but the little girl noticed that Angie was "making funny faces." Angie admitted that she was having problems seeing and Miranda went to get her "magic glasses." Caleb came home and Angie asked if he found anything that they could use against David. "You need to find a way to take away David's power," she yelled and admitted that she's having problems with her eyesight — and will eventually go blind permanently. Caleb asked what he could do to help and she answered that he could find something to bring down David so that Hayward doesn't fire her. "We need to stop him," she stated. She suddenly smelled smoke.... Krystal joined Opal and the gang as they planned the party and revealed that she's going with Caleb.... Angie continued to insist that she smelled smoke. Caleb ran upstairs to get Miranda and found her unconscious. Miranda called the fire department, but Caleb implored Angie to save Miranda before it was too late.
Wednesday
Greenlee searched, with coaching via speakerphone from Ryan, for the key that Liza gave to David. Greens found the key as David walked in. She covered by claiming to have had a nightmare about her accident. David gave Greens her wedding ring back; she'd left it in the shower. Meanwhile, Ryan was panicked since Greens had hung up so suddenly. He began to tear out of his apartment when Madison showed up. After conversing with her about their plans to attend Caleb's party (she gave him new cuff links), Ryan and Greens met up in the park, where she gave him the key she'd found. David, carrying a bouquet of flowers for his wife, caught Ryan and Greenlee together in a close moment (one that looked worse than it was; really, the were just wishing each other well). David seethed and stomped on the flowers before walking away unseen. Ryan told Greens that he planned to sneak out of Caleb's party to break into Liza's office to finally get the goods on David. Ryan returned home and told Madison that the less she knew about the Greenlee-related scheme he was part of, the better. He assured her that after tomorrow night, everything would change for the better.
A blind Angie did her best to treat an unconscious Miranda and commanded Caleb to call 911. Angie administered oxygen and Miranda started to breathe again. The paramedics arrived.
Jesse and Iris met at the hospital. He thanked her for giving him his badge back; she reminded him to steer clear of David. Natalia congratulated Jesse on being Chief of Police again. They got word about the fire at Wildwind and Jesse rushed there. He was overjoyed to see Angie safe and sound. Angie told Jesse what had happened and acknowledged that she could no longer practice medicine. Jesse urged her to reconsider.
Caleb got to the hospital with Miranda; Frankie rushed to action to treat her. Bianca showed up and Caleb couldn't stop her from bolting into the exam room. Frankie told Bianca that Miranda would be fine and credited Caleb with saving her life. Caleb slipped and called Miranda "Sonya," which Bianca questioned him about. He told her not to pry. The Hubbards showed up and got the good news about Miranda's condition. Caleb was happy to hear that Angie's vision had returned and complimented her on how she'd handled the situation at Wildwind. Warmth flowed easily between them. Angie told Jesse that she was going home and when he expressed concern, she reminded him that he can't think she's capable of treating patients but not getting home safely.
David went to the yacht club to see Liza. She warned him that she thought she was being watched by Ryan, Kendall and Greenlee. When Liza told David that representing him was bad for her reputation, David told Liza to fire him as a client. She wondered what the catch was; he was vague. David told Liza that he might be able to help her get the D.A. job. He then went back to the yacht club, where Greenlee was putting the key back in its original spot (Ryan had made a copy). David told Greenlee that he had "such wonderful plans" for the two of them. Liza went to her office and looked at the Greenlee "evidence" David had given to her. Liza allowed herself to imagine becoming D.A.
Thursday
Angie was upset that her lapses in vision were getting longer. Jesse calmed his wife and assured Angie that he was not going anywhere. He suggested they skip the party but Angie refused to show any weakness in front of David, and assured Jesse that this vision episode would pass.
Krystal asked Opal for her opinion on which dress to wear. Tad was surprised to learn Krystal was going to the party with Caleb as her date. Krystal insisted that she and Caleb were just friends but Tad still fumed.
Bianca noticed that Caleb had been coughing a lot since the fire. Bianca then mentioned that she spoke to Erica, who thanked Caleb for saving Miranda's life. Then, Bianca thanked Caleb again for saving Erica. Bianca noticed that Caleb was haunted by something but he refused to talk about it.
Ryan and Kendall plotted to get the evidence they needed to get Greenlee away from David. They then discussed what might happen when they busted David. A gown-clad Madison entered, wearing tennis shoes. She told Ryan she needed his opinion on which shoes to wear. Kendall excused herself.
David recalled seeing Greenlee and Ryan laughing and caressing in the park and wiped his eyes. Greens arrived, eager to show David her new dress. "You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to this party," he noted. David then asked Greenlee to take a trip with him, explaining that he's ready for a fresh start and is done with "all the lies." Greens said she liked the idea. After she dressed, David told her she looked "breathtaking" and recalled their wedding.
Tad gave Caleb attitude when he arrived to pick up Krystal. At the party, Caleb was angry that people didn't arrive on time. Krystal advised him to relax and enjoy himself. Liza walked up and introduced herself to Caleb but he replied that he was familiar with her track record. Across the room, David asked Angie about tendering her resignation, much to her and Jesse's consternation. When Angie balked, David threatened to bring charges against her for treating patients without disclosing her condition. Nearby, Greenlee went over to Ryan and mentioned David's desire to take a trip. Ryan advised her to continue playing the good wife to David.
Across town, Bianca chatted with Kendall about the nature of their mother's relationship with Caleb. They then discussed coming back to Pine Valley. The gals dressed and headed to the party. There, Kendall thanked Caleb for saving Miranda. Opal, unaware of the incident, was impressed. Ryan approached Kendall and said it was time to put their plan in action. She agreed to keep an eye on Liza, and Ryan told Madison that he needed to slip out for a bit.
Angie and Jesse shared a dance and focused on their impending new arrival.... Krystal told Tad to back off of Caleb. Tad said he was just being protective. Liza overheard the exchange and sighed. Kendall asked Liza if she was okay. Liza said she shouldn't be there and was going to her office to do some work. Kendall snapped, "You can't!" Madison heard their discussion.... In Liza's office, Ryan was snooping when a security guard approached.
Friday
Before heading to the gala, Colby introduced Asher to JR, who was quick to
play the role of protective big brother. Colby recalled how Asher prevented
her from a fatal fall and had become a good friend since. Colby headed out
with her date, and JR received a call from Tad begging him to come to the
gala.
As the party got underway, Kendall urged Liza not to split as soon as Tad
shows up. Liza wondered why Kendall is so eager to push her toward Tad and suggested that she's threatened by Liza. Elsewhere, Caleb grumbled to Bianca about having to show up at this formal affair, but she reminded him that the party is doing a lot of good for those aided by the Miranda Center.
David didn't want to waste another second skipping town, and when Greenlee made some excuse about needing a good night's rest before going anywhere, he grabbed her and said he knows what she's been up to. He suggested they discuss the matter privately, so they headed outside with drinks. Greenlee told David he's right: Everything they had was a lie. She proposed they just end it all now, but David told her she's not going anywhere and made a veiled threat where Ryan is concerned. "What if something were to happen to him by accident?" David pondered, then swore to Greens that he'll never let her go. Meanwhile, Frankie watched Madison down drink after drink in Ryan's conspicuous absence.
Greenlee returned to the party and ran into Kendall, who reported that Liza
had already left. Meanwhile, Liza was frightened to find Ryan in her office.
Ryan explained that he's there to obtain the evidence that David is using to
blackmail Greenlee. He begged Liza to do the right thing, just as a phone
call came through for Ryan. It was Greenlee, and she desperately needed to
see him. Lavery came running, but when he got to the party, Greenlee told
him they can't work together anymore and that she's staying with David, who was within earshot. David returned to his room, while Ryan questioned
Greenlee's sudden turnaround. Greenlee also lied to Kendall that everything's fine. Ryan headed straight for David's room.
Kendall found Caleb outside seeking solace, and Caleb sweetly told her that
she reminds him of Erica. Caleb sensed that Kendall was nervous about
something, but she remained cryptic and they headed back inside together.
When JR did arrive, he thanked Asher for persuading Colby to join the family
business and was taken aback when Asher asked for a job with Chandler
Enterprises as well. After Asher assured JR that his interest in Colby is
purely platonic, JR handed the young man a business card. Speaking of career opportunities, the mayor offered Liza the interim D.A. position if she still wants it, and Liza accepted. Liza ran into Tad and told him the good news. Meanwhile, Colby and Asher were on their way to David's room when they heard fighting coming from inside and made themselves scarce.
Caleb called everyone's attention and made an endearing speech about how
tonight's event would make Uncle Pete very happy. Meanwhile, Ryan confronted David about his blackmailing of Greenlee and punched the doc repeatedly after he declared, "Greenlee will always be mine!" As Caleb's speech continued, Frankie rejoined the party, clearly looking for Madison. Greenlee whispered to Kendall that she has to stay with David if they want Ryan to live. Caleb finished by announcing his intent to change his name to Caleb Cortlandt, just as David stumbled in and tumbled over a balcony, falling unconscious.
