AMC Week of August 9, 2010
Monday
David and Greenlee had a tense meal at the yacht club. He accused her of having Ryan on the brain. She denied it. David told Greens that he wanted her to be honest with her. Later, David called one of his minions and said that he had a job for them.
At the hospital, Jake told Madison and Ryan that Ryan's test results looked good. Ryan was itching to leave but Jake insisted on keeping him another night. Greens came by to visit. Ryan called her out about the act she'd put on in front of him the other day. Greens noticed another slight memory lapse on Ryan's part, which he waved away. Greens asked Ryan to leave her and David alone. Ryan vowed to figure out what David was doing to her. Greens went to Jake for an update on Ryan and begged Jake to take good care of him. Greens went back to the room and was surprised that David was there. He questioned her about where she had been and she told her hubby that she had gone to see Ryan to convince him to back off. David suspected that Greens feared what he would do to Ryan if she allowed him to aid her. Meanwhile, Ryan told Jake that he planned to fake a relapse to get Greens to tell him what David was lording over her. Jake tried to talk him out of it but ultimately agreed to help. Madison came back from seeing Emma and was told that Ryan could no longer receive visitors. Madison was worried. David got a call from the hospital telling him that there had been a change in Ryan's condition, which he relayed to Greenlee. Jake and Ryan faked a crisis for Ryan and Kendall burst into his room, telling Ryan that he had to be okay.
Marissa told Scott about her difficult conversation with Krystal. Scott assured Marissa that JR and Annie's attraction is nothing compared to what they have with JR and Annie, respectively. He urged Marissa to go up to the cottage, which she decided to do.
At the cottage, Annie scrambled as JR revealed that he knows Scott stole Palmer's nanotech idea. Annie told JR that it was her idea to steal the technology. A fight ensued. Annie beseeched JR to work with her and clasped his hands in her face as a horrified Marissa arrived. Unseen, Marissa fled. Annie tried to leave a message for Scott warning him but JR hung up, telling her that she needed to be more careful. JR agreed to help Annie keep the nanotech theft a secret. Annie reminded JR that they wanted the same things and wanted to make a friendship work.
Marissa got back to the Chandlers and ran upstairs. Scott followed and she told him that she had seen JR and Annie together. Scott was crushed.
Tuesday
Today's episode was pre-empted for a GH Brenda marathon.
Wednesday
At the hospital, Ryan explained to Kendall that he was faking his dire condition. He filled Kendall in on what was going on with Greenlee. Jake entered and Ryan begged Kendall to help them help Greens. Kendall expressed her reservations but ultimately agreed.
At the cottage, JR told Annie that Scott didn't deserve her. JR and Annie said an emotional good-bye and she left.
Krystal accused Caleb of using Marissa for revenge against the Chandlers. Caleb denied it and Krystal calmed down. Krystal told Caleb about her history with Marissa (namely, giving her away). JR entered and Caleb told him that the party was over. JR turned his attention to Krystal, who accused him of being stuck on Annie. JR insisted that he loves Marissa. Krystal snipped that she's not the one JR needed to convince. JR and Caleb then had words.
Scott and Marissa were despondent after she told him about seeing JR and Annie together at the cabin. They consoled each other and ended up having passionate sex. Meanwhile, Annie returned home to the mansion and called Madison, who told her about Ryan's hospitalization. She ran out of the house.... Post-sex, Scott and Marissa were both shell-shocked. She started to pack up her stuff. Scott went downstairs and heard Annie's message about JR figuring out that he stole the nanotech. He was mortified. JR went home and found his bedroom in shambles in the wake of Marissa's tantrum.
David informed Greenlee that Ryan had taken a turn for the worse. Greens raced to the hospital, where Jake told her that Ryan was in very serious condition. Greens was shocked when Kendall emerged from Ryan's room. The frenemies had a halting reunion. Kendall told Greens that Ryan had said Greenlee's name in his dire state. Jake waylaid David, then told Ryan that he had managed to keep Hayward at bay. Annie rushed into Ryan's room and he faked unconsciousness as she gushed to him at his bedside about how much Scott loves her. Ryan briefly opened his eyes just to roll them. Annie ran into Kendall and Greenlee in the waiting room. Their mutual enmity for Annie created a brief moment of warmth between Kendall and Greenlee. Jake told Greens that she could see Ryan. Kendall saw David and blasted him for sabotaging and nearly killing Erica. Greenlee told an eyes-closed Ryan that she would do whatever it took to help him heal.
Thursday
Madison gave Bianca a phone message from Reese. After Madison made clear to Randi that Frankie had missed her terribly while she was in Italy, Mad transferred a call from Reese to Bianca, who told Reese that she "wasn't ready."
Angie urged Jesse to leave her alone at the hospital to prevent David from becoming suspicious. Frankie promised Jesse that he'd look after Angie. Jesse went to the police station, where after a catch-up with Natalia, he asked Mayor Blanco for his job back. Iris wanted a guarantee that Jesse would back off David, and told him that she would let him know after thinking it over.
David gave Liza the "evidence" of Greenlee's "guilt." Liza was aghast to learn that Greenlee knew that David was using the evidence to threaten her. She cautioned David not to make the same mistakes that she had made with Tad and Colby.
Jake and Kendall discussed Kendall's deep caring for Ryan and Greenlee. Kendall went to Fusion, where she had a warm reunion with Bianca. She was surprised to hear that Binks was living at Wildwind with Caleb. Binks confided that her marriage was in trouble and that she had asked Reese for a trial separation. Kendall was impressed by the state of Fusion. Kendall expressed her belief to Bianca that Greens didn't cause Erica's plane to crash. She went back to the hospital and took a call from Zach, letting him know that she needed to stay in P.V. for a few more days.
Believing that he was unconscious, Greenlee spilled her guts at Ryan's bedside about David's blackmail. Ryan "woke up" and told Greens that he had heard her and would help her put David in jail. She realized that he had faked his condition. While Greens pummeled Ryan, Angie tried to get Jake and Frankie to stop hovering over her. Greenlee told Ryan that she was greatly relieved that he was okay and that she had wanted to confide in him but feared what David might do to him. She divulged that David had concocted evidence to make it look like she was behind Erica's plane crash. Madison arrived and after speaking to Jake, she realized that Greenlee was in with Ryan. Jake went into Ryan's room and Greens let him know that she knew he'd set her up. Ryan begged Greenlee to let him help her.
Frankie took Angie home and he agreed to leave after she assured him that she was fine. But after he left, her vision began to fail. Frankie met Randi at BJ's, where he interrupted her news of her newest modeling gigs to inform Randi that Angie is both pregnant and ill. Jesse and Nat entered and Jesse was upset that Frankie had left Angie alone. He rushed out. At the loft, Angie lovingly spoke aloud to her baby-to-be. Jesse returned home and Angie told him how she had gotten through the episode with help from the baby.
Friday
At the Yacht Club, Tad told Damon he was lining up another tutor for his GED, given that Damon and Colby were more likely to be studying each other. Damon didn't much care about the GED, and told Tad he wants to stop taking his meds. Tad thought that was a very bad idea and they went a few rounds. Then, they bantered about dating and relationships. At the Chandler manse, mystery guy Asher lurked outside the patio doors and watched Colby. Then he followed her to the park, pretending to look for his lost dog so he could hit on her. Colby explained she was awaiting her boyfriend for a picnic and Asher left. Then, Damon showed up and Colby told him she was thinking of going back to school. Their cute little date was soon ruined by a very loud leafblower, and they switched to the rooftop of Chandler. Damon announced his love to all of Pine Valley and then went to get Colby's sweater from the car. Elsewhere, Tad and Opal talked about how you never stop worrying about your kids. Up on the roof, Colby attempted her own screaming "I love you!" and nearly fell off the roof...but Asher grabbed her arm and saved her!
Scott called Annie out on running to JR, and she insisted she'd gone to JR because of him and their future. "What did you do, exactly, to convince JR to back off?" Scott asked, pointedly. Annie explained how she'd talked JR into keeping quiet about the nanotech stuff, and Scott told her Marissa had spied her "intimate moment." Annie told him nothing had happened: the "intensity" Marissa had seen was Annie trying to convince JR to cover for Scott. At B.J's-now-Krystal's, Marissa unloaded to Krystal about seeing JR and Annie together...and bedding Scott. On cue, JR walked in! Krystal left them alone to talk. Marissa got all snippy when JR brought up her being a no-show at the cottage, and she confronted him about Annie. JR insisted he loves her and that nothing happened with Annie. Outside, Krystal ran into Caleb, who wanted her to cater a business meeting. Krystal noted he needed more than catering: He needs a new look. Back at Chez Chandler, Scott realized how wrong he and Marissa had been. Cue the guilt! At Krystal's, JR continued to defend himself. Guilt-ridden Marissa suggested she and JR had to move on from each other. Elsewhere, Krystal and Caleb grew closer, as she opened up about Babe's death, and then Krystal commenced with the makeover. When a shaved and suited Caleb emerged, Krystal admired her handiwork. Marissa got a call from Scott and rushed off to the mansion, just as Tad walked into the restaurant. A choked up JR explained his marital predicament to his stepdad...and Annie came in. Tad sat them both down and called them "a walking disaster area," reminding them they have kids to worry about. Alone, JR told Annie the four of them needed to hash things out. At the mansion, Scott told Marissa that Annie and JR didn't sleep together. Marissa wanted to get everything out in the open...and tell Annie and JR that they did sleep together. As they continued to wring their hands over their ill-advised romp, JR and Annie arrived.
