AMC Week of December 1, 2008
Monday
At ConFusion, Ryan asked a delusional Annie who she had hurt with the bloody
knife she was carrying. Cops flooded the scene as Annie demanded that Ryan
say his vows. Jake, meanwhile, discovered Erica in a pool of blood on the
ground. Zach and Reese were horrified when they came upon the scene; Reese
got Bianca through the police barricade but Jake and Adam were denied
entrance (though both men barked, "I'm her ex-husband!").... Ryan got the
knife away from a giggling Annie and she was placed in handcuffs. Annie
threw her bouquet before being led away by Jesse's men as the mortified
crowd looked on.
Zach asked the crowd to remain calm and go home if they'd like. Adam asked
Pete to drive Colby home. Frank checked in on Angie, Natalia and Rebecca,
who became weak. Taylor complained to Frank about how being in a wheelchair
had stopped her from disarming Annie. Colby glanced at Taylor and became
preoccupied with thoughts of Brot. Greenlee tried to assure Ryan that he
wasn't to blame for Annie's breakdown; David countered that he was indeed
responsible. Greens blasted David for dissing Ryan; when he invoked Leo's
name, she slapped him across the face. David and JR exchanged nasty words as
well.... Taylor and Amanda had a civil conversation until Amanda summoned
Colby and rudely dropped hints about Brot. Frank grilled Colby and she said
she had something huge to tell him. Frank then went to find Brot, who said
he was leaving town because Taylor is in love with Jake. Frank beseeched
Brot to face Taylor.... Colby told Pete to take her home. Amanda went off in
search of JR. Randi offered to give Taylor a ride home and told Taylor that
Frank had left because he had urgent business with an old friend.
At the police station, a psychiatrist questioned Annie, who became violent
when Ryan showed up with Greenlee. Annie was carted away as Ryan, Greenlee
and Zach watched on and Annie screamed for Ryan to help her. Zach confessed
to Ryan and Greenlee that he had heard Annie confessing to killing Richie.
Ryan was furious that Zach had kept Annie's secret. He ordered Zach to stay
away from him and his family.
At the hospital, Reese tried to keep Bianca calm as Erica was raced into
surgery. Joe asked Adam to donate his blood (he was the only match in the
group); Adam was thrilled. Joe reported that Erica would survive. Jake tried
to keep Adam from interrupting Bianca's time with her mom, but Adam was
determined to brag to Erica that his blood had saved her life. Erica
muttered that only in Adam's dreams did she know owe him.
Back at home, Natalia surprised Rebecca and Angie with the news that she was
considering a career in law enforcement. Rebecca and Angie had a frank talk
about Rebecca's health and Natalia's future.
Tuesday
Frank stunned Jake with the news that Brot was alive and in Pine Valley.
"Either he tells Taylor or I do," warned Frank. Taylor wheeled up and the
men covered, then continued their conversation in private. Jake was
understandably upset that Taylor's beloved was back. When Brot failed to
show (he was with Colby at the boathouse), a heavy-hearted Frank broke the
news about Brot to Taylor. She struggled to digest the news.... Jake showed
up at the boathouse as Brot was trying to skip town. Colby made herself
scarce. Jake berated Brot for deceiving Taylor and told Brot that Taylor was
still in love with him. Jake didn't believe it when Brot said that he didn't
want Taylor anymore. Brot admitted that some days, Taylor was the only thing
keeping him alive. Unexpectedly, Taylor arrived in her chair. She cried out
Brot's name; he hesitated to turn to face her.
A weepy Krystal came to see Angie. David lurked nearby. Angie and Krystal
found a private place to talk and Krystal confessed that David was haunting
her dreams. Angie assured Krystal that she understood why she felt a special
bond to Babe's father, even though she wished David wasn't the person
Krystal felt she was able to lean on. Angie excused herself and David came
up to Krystal, who ended up spilling the beans about her David-heavy dreams.
Krystal insisted that she wanted David out of her life. He pressed her to
admit that they want each other. He brought up Tad. "Leave my husband out of
this," she said. "Gladly," he smirked. He pulled Krystal into a kiss. "I can
make you feel alive again," he told her. Angie gasped when she saw the two
making out.
Aidan went to Oak Haven to check on Annie. Ryan saw him and asked what he
was doing there. Aidan said he'd heard about Annie's actions at ConFusion.
Ryan went into Annie's room and she babbled on about Richie. Ryan tried to
get her to admit that Aidan helped Annie kidnap Emma. When the doctors came
in, Annie became agitated and screamed for Ryan to help her, but he exited.
Later, Aidan went to see a catatonic Annie. "Does he suspect anything?" he
asked.
Greenlee brought Emma to Fusion and told Amanda that she was happy that
Erica was okay. Greens assured Amanda that she was in charge. Bianca
materialized and told Greens that she was there to fill in for Erica, whose
proxy Kendall still held. Greens and Bianca had words about Erica's role in
the company before Bianca left. Greens went back to the penthouse with Emma,
who saw the newspaper headline about Erica and started asking questions.
Greens tried to set the little girl's mind at ease about Annie. Ryan came
home and was moved by the scene. Emma excused herself and Greens warned Ryan
that perhaps it was time to prepare Emma for the fact that Annie might never
got out of Oak Haven.
Zach and Reese went over plans for the new casino in his office. Zach's
secretary told Zach that a package had arrived from his wife. It was an
autographed Red Wings jersey. Zach confided in Reese about his uncertainty
about whether he'd been able to make Kendall happy. Reese urged Zach to
bring Kendall home from Canada and he got worked up when he felt that Reese
had insinuated that Kendall wasn't going to make it. Bianca showed up and
Reese filled Binks in on Zach's poor mental state. Bianca and Reese
passionately reaffirmed their love but then Reese dropped a bombshell,
revealing to Binks that the doctor had told Zach that Kendall probably
wouldn't wake up. Zach reentered and Binks said that she thought Kendall
should come home. Zach said he'd already made the call and chirped that
coming home was what Kendall needed in order to wake up.
Wednesday
An emotional Taylor begged Brot to turn around and look at her. She stood up
and fell into his arms. When she saw his burns, he accused her of finding
him disgusting, a charge she denied. He fled nonetheless, pursued by Frank,
while Jake helped Taylor into her chair. Taylor beat herself up for how
she'd reacted to Brot's burns as Frank tried to convince Brot not to leave
town. When Brot balked, Frank once again played the coward card. Back at the
hospital, Taylor and Frank chatted about the change in Brot. After Frank
left, Brot returned to see Taylor but told Taylor not to turn around. She
asked if she had any say in his decision to leave. He reiterated that the
man she loved didn't exist anymore. She ripped aside the curtain separating
them and pressed her head tenderly to his back. She turned him around to
face her and caressed his face.
At the hospital, Angie discovered David and Krystal mid-makeout. After David
left, Angie asked Krystal if she'd lost her mind. She told Angie that she
didn't want to give up Tad or her girls, especially not for David, but that
the pain of losing Babe eases up when she's with him. Angie assured Krystal
that she would be okay then took David to task for "preying" on Krystal, a
charge David laughed off. David then accused Angie of projecting given her
own domestic complications.
At the hospital, Reese, Bianca and Zach eagerly awaited Kendall's arrival.
Jesse showed up to speak to Zach about Richie's murder. Zach spoke to Jesse
but made it clear that he wasn't too broken up about having withheld info
from the cops. He returned to see Kendall, who remained comatose but had
arrived safely. David examined Kendall and said there was no change in her
condition.
In Annie's hospital room, Aidan questioned her about what she'd said to Ryan
about his involvement in the kidnapping. Annie remained delusional, but
Aidan didn't buy it and tried to force her to admit that she was faking her
condition.
At the penthouse, Ryan insisted to Greenlee that he was responsible for
Annie's break from reality. She disagreed but understood that despite Ryan's
love for her, Emma had to come first. He left to go see Annie, who begged
him to get Aidan out of her room. Ryan dragged Aidan outside and demanded to
know what Aidan was doing there. Ryan argued that Annie needed mental help
to get well. Aidan countered that Ryan was just trying to ease his
conscience. While Annie was examined by a psychiatrist appointed by the
police force, Ryan and Jesse discussed the possibility that Aidan could have
been in cahoots with Aidan. Jesse tried to assure Ryan that he wasn't the
root of Annie's mental woes. The doc told Jesse that he thinks Annie suffers
from borderline personality disorder and a severe fear of emotional
abandonment — in short, that she's not faking. Jesse caught Aidan
eavesdropping and Aidan claimed to be making sure that Annie wasn't going to
hurt anyone else.
Greenlee went to the hospital to see Kendall, who was being tenderly
beseeched by Zach to wake up. Zach went home and he and Reese tended to all
the kids. Reese pointed out that the house was in need of holiday dcor.
Bianca, meanwhile, took her turn at Kendall's side, begging her to open her
eyes. Bianca also hinted at the need for her and Kendall to have a serious
talk (presumably, about Gabrielle's paternity) when Kendall woke up.... Zach
and the girls talked Reese into donning an elf cap and dancing around. She
missed a step and fell into Zach's arms; he became overwhelmed and rushed
out to see Kendall.... Greenlee poured out her troubles to Kendall, asking
her comatose pal for advice about Ryan. Ryan arrived in time to hear
Greenlee say that she feared she'd lost him for good. Greens also told
Kendall that she and Ryan were responsible for Annie losing it and that she
and Ryan probably couldn't be together. When she realized that Ryan was
there, she averted his gaze.
Thursday
Jake told Frank that his romance with Taylor was on the back burner now that
Brot was back. Taylor insisted to Brot that he was still the man she loved.
He countered that they'd only had a fling. Brot pretended that he had never
even ordered Taylor's engagement ring. Brot tried to leave but Taylor
blocked him. He said he didn't need pity or help; he just needed to be
alone. She begged him not to take off but he said a firm good-bye and walked
out, leaving her in tears. Brot told Jake, "I took care of it." Jake entered
and Taylor filled him in on what Brot had said to her. Jake said that Brot
surely couldn't have meant what he said to her about just being a fling.
Jake told Taylor not to worry about him; Taylor made it clear that that
would be impossible.
Reese explained to Bianca how Zach had suddenly raced out of the house after
her elf dance. Bianca hung the wreath, then joined Reese and the kids on the
couch. Both women were thinking of Zach.
Ryan listened to Greenlee as she told a comatose Kendall that Annie would
always stand in the way of a Ryan/Greenlee future. In the hallway, Ryan
tried to dissuade Greenlee from her belief that they drove Annie mad but
Greens insisted that they couldn't be together. "As much as I love you, it's
over," she declared.
Randi brought proofs of her photo shoot to Erica, who was working from her
hospital bed. Erica left a message for Greenlee to come to see her
immediately. David came in and recognized Randi from somewhere. Randi left
and Erica grilled David about Kendall's health. David didn't want Erica to
get out of bed to see Kendall but when Zach arrived, David capitulated,
noting that he owes her. "I owe you a foxtrot, nothing more," she said. He
disagreed.... At Kendall's bedside, Erica took her turn urging Kendall to
wake up. David, meanwhile, told Zach that the results of Kendall's latest
exam weren't good. Zach asked David not to tell anyone that Kendall's
prognosis remained bleak. Bianca arrived and Zach tried to conceal his
devastation. Erica went back to her room, where Greenlee awaited. They
exchanged words about Erica overstepping at Fusion and Greenlee got testy
when Erica held forth on Ryan and Greenlee. Greens told Erica that she was
walking away for Emma's sake and Erica shocked Greenlee by apologizing to
her.... Zach saw Ryan in the hallway and tried to apologize to Ryan for
staying mum about Annie killing Richie ("it was a bad call"). Ryan said that
his focus was now on his children and he would no longer work for Cambias.
Back at home, Zach stared vacantly into the fire, thinking of Kendall, when
Reese joined him. Zach wondered aloud to Reese how he could lie to his
family and confided in her about the latest setbacks with Kendall's health,
namely that her heart was slowly deteriorating and would eventually give
out. "Oh, my God," gasped Reese. She agreed to keep the information
confidential.
Frank and Randi met up and went ice-skating, punctuating their romantic date
with several smooches.
Ryan and Greenlee met up by chance on the Fusion rooftop and looked at the
moon together. But she remained firm in her conviction that it was over
between them.
Friday
At the Martin house, an overwrought Krystal snapped at Kathy for playing with one of Babe's ornaments. Tad stressed the importance of celebrating Christmas for the kids. She rushed out, upset. Jesse and Angie came over to deck the halls but he was distracted by his domestic woes. Tad revealed that he didn't know where Krystal had run off to. Angie, who'd earlier spied her kissing David, said nothing. Jesse assured Tad that he wasn't a failure either as a husband or a dad. Tad admitted to Jesse that he was losing patience with Krystal. Tad felt better by the time Jesse left and left a message for Krystal to call him, or better yet, come home.
Amanda joined David at the cemetery for the unveiling of Babe's headstone. David flashed back to visiting his father's grave. Amanda left; Krystal arrived and prompty began sobbing. He brought her back to Wildwind and gave her warm milk to calm her down... warm milk with an unspecified drug, that is. Angie came by and demanded to see Krystal. David claimed that she wasn't there and that the kiss she'd spied meant nothing, then closed the door in her face. David returned to Krystal and plied her with more drugged milk.
Adam brought flowers to Erica at the hospital, where he continued to crow about how his blood saved her life. As payback, he wanted her help holding on to JR. La Kane noted that she, too, felt distanced from her kids, especially Kendall. Adam insisted that Erica come live with him when she was released. She said she was going to stay elsewhere. She requested (and received) a get-well kiss before he left. Her next visit was from Jack. He asked her to move in with him, friend to friend (he stated that he and Carmen were fine). Erica said his offer came too late, as Adam had offered up the mansion earlier. After Jack left, Erica called Adam to accept his invitation. She then threw the rose that Jack had brought to her into the trash.
At the Chandler manse, a depressed JR was awash in thoughts of Babe. He tried to get Little A to accept that Babe wasn't coming home. Amanda arrived (it was she who sent the gift that got Little A talking about Babe's return) and helped JR lift the boy's spirits. Adam arrived and bad-mouthed Amanda, earning a tongue-lashing from JR. Amanda, JR and Little Adam decorated the tree. Before Amanda left, Adam issued her an ominous threat about what would happen to her if she hurt JR.
Greenlee and Ryan attended a meeting about Annie's psychiatric crisis. Annie entered, accompanied by attendants, and became terrified when she saw Greens. She had a giant, deluded outburst and was sent back to her room. Ryan spoke about the terrible things that Annie had done and how unrecognizable to him she had become. All parties agreed that Annie should be committed. Greenlee parted ways with Ryan and encountered Jack, who could tell she was upset. The strain on Greenlee of keeping her distance from Ryan was obvious. She explained that Ryan needed to focus on his kids, as hard as it was on them.... Annie received a visit from Aidan. She told him to come closer, then viciously attacked him.
At the penthouse, Ryan broke the news to Emma that Annie wasn't coming home yet. She prayed for her mom's return by Christmas. The sight broke Ryan's heart. Greens rang the doorbell; she said she was there as a friend and delivery person. She'd brought him a Christmas tree to give to Emma.
