AMC Week of December 8, 2008
Monday
Taylor ran into Jake, who told her Brot is okay. As she rolled into Brot's room to scold him for trying to leave, Jake eavesdropped. Brot insisted Taylor is not okay with his injuries. She wished he loved her enough to let her help him. Jake left them as Taylor insisted she wouldn't leave Brot, no matter what. So he tried to leave — but collapsed. Later, Angie said he suffered a gash, and has an infection. Taylor confessed to Angie that she was shocked by Brot's reappearance. Angie related, after mourning Jesse for 20 years. When Brot was brought back in, Taylor insisted, "What we had was more than a fling." He countered that the Brot she knew is dead. "Accept it and move on."
David was trying to calm Krystal, who was distraught about Babe and worried for Little A. David slipped a pill into her milk. Krystal lamented that Tad doesn't know her anymore. At that moment, Tad was at the hospital, telling Angie that Krystal has been acting crazy lately. Angie told him to involve Jesse. Krystal told David that Adam goes for what he wants, no matter who gets hurt, while Tad cares about others. David called Tad "safe," and said it's okay to want more. After he left her to sleep. Amanda appeared, demanding to be paid, but David insisted she make progress first. She forced her way inside and was shocked to see Krystal unconscious.She figured he wants Little A.'s grandmother on his side. He threw her out. Back in the living room, he watched Krystal sleep. When he woke her, she begged him, "Make love to me." Oh, it was just her dream. She awoke in a panic and tried to leave, but he insisted on driving, and took her to Babe's grave.
When Aidan sneaked into Annie's "secure" room, she got the drop on him and started strangling him, claiming Greenlee sent him to kill her. Jesse accused Aidan trying to prevent Annie from blowing his cover! Aidan demanded a polygraph. At the station, Jesse promised to help Tad find Krystal. Tad vouched for Aidan, but Jesse remained skeptical. Det. Reynolds administered a polygraph test, in which Aidan copped to knowing Annie planned the abduction, but he didn't go to cops. He indicated he didn't help Annie kidnap the child, and Reynolds said Aidan isn't lying. "You got nothing," Aidan crowed, then strutted out. Meanwhile, Greenlee brought Ryan a Christmas tree. They acknowledged they want to be together, but then Emma interrupted and insisted on decorating the tree. In a box of decorations, Greenlee found a green butterfly that Emma made. Emma had fallen asleep, so Greens left. Jackson arrived, and Ryan assured him he and Greens are not getting back together. Jack was skeptical, because Greenlee still loves Ryan. Ryan said they can't be together after the whole Annie/Emma thing, and being committed to Oakhaven — oh, could Jack help with that? Jackson agreed. "For the record, I will always love Greenlee," Ryan said. "That's what worries me," Jack replied, then left. Greens went to the boathouse, soon followed by Jake. They exchanged bad jokes, then she started crying. They shared their relationship woes, then momentarily considered hooking up — but realized it wouldn't work because their tastes in art are so different. After he was summoned to the hospital, Aidan showed up and boasted about his polygraph results. Greens told him she's not with Ryan. Aidan laughed: "I don't want you either."
David hid when Tad arrived at Babe's grave, and embraced Krystal. She vowed to "get through this." At the hospital, Angie took Brot for X-rays. Alone, Taylor sniffed Brot's jacket, and was thrilled to find the engagement ring inside. At Oakhaven, Annie stated singing "Silent Night," and fantasized about standing over Greenlee's corpse.
Tuesday
Angie and Jesse enjoyed their time together as the snow fell. Their
happy moment was interrupted by Rebecca, who was out of sorts. Frankie and
Natalia came inside after throwing snowballs at each other. As they all joked
around, Angie and Jesse were glad to see things starting to
come together. After they put the tree up, Natalia announced that she had a
box of ornaments from their home in Denver. Jesse told a story about how he
broke an ornament at a store and insisted on buying it. Rebecca apologized
to Angie for Natalia bringing the ornaments. Before Angie could say
anything, Rebecca broke down and tearfully told Angie she was afraid she
wasn't going to make it to Christmas. Cassandra called and told Angie she
wouldn't be coming for Christmas. A frustrated Angie lamented that the first
Christmas she and Jesse would share in twenty years was marred by another
family's memories. Natalia interrupted, crying out that Rebecca had
fainted and wasn't breathing. Angie and Frankie checked her out and Frankie
realized that she signed a DNR (A do-not-resuscitate order). Natalia begged them not
to let her die and Jesse asked Angie if there was anything she could do.
Zach and Reese rushed into the cabin. Zach lamented coming up with the idea
to cut a real Christmas tree. Reese tried to alleviate Zach's worries about
being stranded without the kids and not being able to get to Kendall. Reese
asked Zach to tell her about Kendall. Zach told Reese that Kendall was his
savior. He said that she had a lot of Erica in her. Reese implored Zach not
to give up on Kendall. Zach couldn't get Kendall out of his head and ran out
of the cabin. He came back in, freezing, and Reese tried to comfort him.
Krystal arrived at Wildwind. Krystal told David that whatever he did last
night worked and made her feel better. Krystal was angry with herself for
coming back for more. David told Krystal that things weren't getting any
easier for him. David drugged another beverage and gave it to Krystal. Before
she could down it, there was a knock at the door — Bianca's car broke down
and she needed shelter. David went to get Bianca something to drink but
Krystal offered Bianca hers! A drugged Bianca fed Gabrielle as she confided
that she was concerned about her relationship with Reese to Krystal and
David. She noted that she felt extremely relaxed before realizing her
insensitivity and asking how Krystal was doing. Bianca said she wished there
was something she could do for Krystal; Krystal said there was — she wanted
to hold the baby. Bianca happily complied. Bianca continued her stream of
consciousness before drifting off to sleep. Krystal got emotional as she
held the baby. Krystal told David she wished he could have been in Babe's
life more.
Taylor interrupted Brot and Jake. Taylor showed Brot the ring when he told
her to go away. Brot told Taylor that he has changed; Taylor broke down and
told Brot that it wasn't fair of Brot to take away the best memories of her
life. She challenged him to look her in the eyes and tell her that he never
really loved her. He walked off. She called Frankie and asked him to tell
Jake to call her.
Jake and Brot ran into each other in the elevator. Brot told Jake that
Taylor was all his. Jake barely had time to react when the elevator
stalled. Brot was annoyed, but Jake was glad that he would have some time to
convince Brot to stay in Pine Valley. The two argued about who was better
for Taylor and Jake told Brot that he didn't want to compete with the love
Taylor and Brot shared. Brot opened up about the explosion. Jake suggested
that Brot take a chance on Taylor as the elevator finally opened back on
Taylor's floor. Brot went to Taylor and told her that he wasn't the same
person he used to be. Taylor acknowledged his feelings and wanted to get to
know this "new" Brot. He agreed to let her in. Jake overheard the slowly
reuniting couple and walked away....
Wednesday
Tad asked where Krystal had been all night. She began to explain what happened, but they were interrupted when Tad got a call from a man in the Congo saying that Jeff and Jamie were missing. Tad passed the news on the Krystal, and rushed out to talk to Joe.
Frankie tried to explain to Natalia what was going on with her mother, while Angie berated herself for resuscitating Rebecca. David told Angie she'd have to explain herself to the ethics board and to take Rebecca off life support so she could die the way she wanted to. He insisted Joe would say the same thing. Natalia interrupted them, wanting to know what was going on, and Angie was forced to tell Natalia that she had an obligation to follow the wishes Rebecca made clear on her DNR. Natalia insisted they couldn't take Rebecca off the machine. Jesse consoled Angie and asked her to buy him some time so he could put Natalia at peace with what needed to be done. David brought Joe to talk to Angie, who agreed that Angie had put the hospital in a bad position. Joe said the ethics board was going to give her 24 hours to turn off the machines. After he walked away, Angie told David to go to hell.
Bianca came home to find Ryan with the kids, but no Zach or Reese. Ryan assured her they probably got caught in the snow, and he would call the highway patrol. At the cabin, Zach and Reese talked about their conversation the night before. Reese wasn't happy about keeping a secret from Bianca, and Zach said he understood. She said she still believed in hope and miracles, and they left to drive home. Ryan continued to try to reassure Bianca, and then Zach called, letting them know he and Reese were fine, and were bringing home a tree.
Tad filled Joe in on the Congo situation and told him he was going there. Joe asked him to be careful, and they said goodbye. Meanwhile David had happily heard everything. Tad went home and Krystal was not happy when he informed her of his plans. Regardless, Tad say goodbye to her and the girls and left. Krystal began to feel overwhelmed and a panic attack ensued. She called David and asked him to come over, which was clearly his plan all along. When he arrived, she filled him in on the situation with Tad. David fixed her a cup of his "special" milk, and told her she would be fine in no time.
Aidan and Greenlee saw Annie being prepared to move to Oak Haven, freaking out. A guilty Greenlee called Ryan to warn him. Aidan told Greenlee he’d gotten work in DC. Ryan and Emma arrived as they were hugging goodbye. After Aidan left, Greenlee took care of Emma while Ryan went to check on Annie. The doctor told Ryan they'd had to sedate Annie. When they wheeled her out she greeted Ryan with, "daddy." When it was clear she thought she was Emma, Ryan played along. Meanwhile, Emma overheard a nurse saying which room her mom was in and went running... Straight to Annie who she hugged and called "mommy."
When Zach and Reese finally got home, they explained what happened and Bianca said she had been stuck as well. Before Zach left to visit Kendall, Reese said she understood why he didn't want to tell Erica and Bianca about Kendall. Bianca told Reese she could tell she was worried. She explained she was just concerned about Zach, but Bianca thought she was lying. At the hospital, Zach walked into Kendall's room and watched his wife.
Randi visited Frankie at the hospital, and asked about Rebecca. She told Frankie about her memories of her mother’s death, of how watching her mother’s suffering made Randi pray for her death. After her mother died, Randi wondered if it was her fault. She wondered if Natalia was feeling the same kind of guilt. Angie came over and told them they had 24 hours. Jesse said Natalia was not budging. Angie insisted she would be the one to talk to Natalia. Natalia sat by Rebecca's bed and begged her to wake up. When Angie came in and insisted she had to say goodbye, Natalia accused Angie of wanting Rebecca dead.
Thursday
Natalia lashed out at Angie, accusing her of wanting Rebecca dead. Frankie
came in and tried to explain to Natalia that Rebecca wouldn't wake up. Angie
lamented to Jesse that she made a horrible mistake. She nearly lost it,
wondering how Natalia would ever forgive her if she took Rebecca off the
machines. In Rebecca's room, Natalia expressed her fears to Frankie, who
implored her to have the strength to do the right thing. Frankie gave her
some time alone. Outside, he ran into Randi, who had coffee for everyone.
Frankie said she didn't have to be there, but Angie interrupted them and
told Frankie that Randi was a part of their family. Natalia came outside and
asked everyone to come with her; she was afraid to say goodbye alone.
Inside, everyone said their goodbyes to Rebecca. Frankie and Jesse promised
her that Natalia was in good hands. Angie thanked Rebecca for giving Jesse
back to her and promised her she'd never forget it. Natalia tearfully told
her mother she loved her. Angie took Rebecca off the ventilator ... but was
shocked when Rebecca began to wake up! Natalia ran to her mother's side and
Rebecca asked why everyone was there.
David dropped another pill into Krystal's drink. Krystal complained to David
about her problems with Tad as David encouraged her to drink up.
Feeling better, Krystal joked that his "miracle concoction" was
making her better. Kathy walked in and asked what David was doing there.
Krystal suggested David read Kathy a Christmas story. David questioned
Krystal about her relationship with Tad, and manipulated her into realizing
their bond. Krystal, David and Kathy read a story. Moved by
the little girl, David gave her a hug and teared up. Kathy told him
it was okay to cry — she sometimes cries about Aunt Julia. When Kathy went
upstairs, Krystal tried to comfort David, who was too upset and left. Back
at Wildwind, David looked at Babe's photograph and began to play the piano,
but was overcome with emotion and had to stop. Krystal showed up at the door,
and though David told her she should leave, she insisted she wouldn't leave until
he told her why he hated Christmas. David explained that all the people he
wanted to spend the holidays with were dead. After a quiet moment, the two
shared a kiss. When they pulled away, David asked Krystal to leave but
insisted he drive.
At the hospital, Zach sat by Kendall while Bianca confronted Reese about
lying. Reese challenged Bianca to try and read her mind. The two
dropped the issue and kissed, but Bianca was clearly still concerned.
Later, Reese called Zach and told him she couldn't continue to lie to
Bianca. Zach said he'd handle it — just as Bianca walked by. "Handle what?"
she asked. Bianca shared her concerns with Zach, who covered with another lie. She asked about Kendall, and he told her
that she had more color in her cheeks. Back at home, Zach, Bianca and Reese
played with the kids and decorated the tree. When they had a moment of alone
time, Bianca questioned Reese again. Reese was about spill the
truth when Zach walked back in. The mood lifted when they lit the
tree.
"Mommy!" Emma called out as she ran over to Annie and embraced her. A
confused Annie looked at Ryan. "...Mommy?" she uttered. Ryan explained to
Emma that Annie had to go to another hospital. Annie seemed to remember Emma
for a moment, but then asked Ryan... or "Daddy," to take her to school. Ryan
comforted her as she was wheeled off. Emma wanted to know why Annie was
acting so strangely. Greenlee comforted Ryan, who was beside himself.
Greenlee agreed to take Emma home, and Emma announced that Greens was the
best friend she ever had. At Oakhaven, Annie excitedly told Ryan how she was
looking forward to the first day of school. Ryan prepared to say goodbye to
his wife. Looking around her room, she asked Ryan where all the other
"students" were. Ryan hugged her and said goodbye. When the
attending came in to get Annie's bed ready, she got nervous and started
calling out for her father. Two attendings had to hold an agitated Annie
down. When she was alone, Annie compulsively whispered to herself "no
doctors, no doctors no doctors." Aidan walked in and promised he was
going to help her. Back at the penthouse, Ryan arrived home to find Greenlee
and Emma having a great time. When Greenlee went to leave, Emma asked her to
stay.
JR and Joe joked about David as they left the board meeting. They discussed
how David was getting involved in everyone's business. JR suggest he fire
him, but Joe explained that that would be a bad idea, considering David's
reputation as a doctor. Later, JR and the kids went to Krystal's, but she
was nowhere to be found.
Friday
JR caught Krystal and David coming into the house and laid into Krystal.
After David left, JR insisted she had to stay away from him. They argued,
and Krystal was surprised to find herself defending David. He warned her to
walk away while she still could, but she aid he made her feel better,
and thought he had changed. JR urged Krystal to fill Tad in
about this as soon as he got home, but Krystal said it wasn't going to
happen. If she didn't, he would, JR replied.
Aidan arrived in Annie's room and told her he was her daddy, not Ryan. When he
assured her he was going to protect her and keep her safe, she hugged him. They
played cards for a while, and Annie asked him to get her sweater from home. A
doctor caught him coming out of Annie's room, and asked who he was. Aidan
made himself sound confused, and another doctor walked up and confirmed that
Aidan was a patient‹ Mr. Stone. When the first doctor walked away, the other
said he'd never been bribed before to get in... only out. A nurse brought
Aidan medicine, which he faked taking, and brought him to his room. Soon, he
was back in Annie's room. Aidan tucked Annie in, neither of them realizing
they were being recorded.
A nurse mistakenly called Zach when Frankie requested a consult for Rebecca,
thinking Kendall was the coma patient that woke up. Zach and Bianca rushed
to the hospital. Alone at the house with the kids, Reese answered the door
and to hero her shock, found her father. He had come because
her "friend" had invited him to the christening. Inside, he met
Gabrielle. He said she was beautiful, like her mother. Reese pointed out that
Gabby looks like her other mother, Bianca, and that Bianca was the one that
carried her. She also told her dad that she and Bianca were getting married. He
quickly tried to change the subject, but she changed it right back and an
argument ensued. He told her how much he missed her, and asked her to come
home for New Year's with Gabby... but Bianca was clearly not invited. Reese
asked him to leave. Reluctantly, he left.
When Zach and Bianca arrived at the hospital they were devastated to find
Kendall's situation unchanged. The nurse came in to apologize, and Zach raged
that she would never work as a nurse again‹ he would have her license
revoked. He walked out of the room and overturned a cart. Jesse, Angie and
Frankie explained to Bianca what happened. After, Zach told Bianca he wanted
to be alone with Kendall. He imagined coming to the hospital
and being greeted by an awake Kendall.
Frankie apologized to Natalie for pushing her to take Rebecca off the
machines, and Natalie apologized to Angie for giving her a hard time. Randi
left for her photo shoot and Frankie went with her. When Angie was alone,
David approached her and asked what happened. She told him it was a miracle; he warned her if she pulled something like that again he would have her
medical license revoked.
Taylor ran into Jake at the hospital. When he asked about Brot, she told him
Brot needed space, so they'd been talking on the phone. The conversation got
awkward and Taylor eventually went back to her room. Jake headed to
ConFusion and ordered a drink.
Amanda set up for Randi's sexy photo shoot and reminisced about being with
Jake. When Randi arrived, Amanda and Frankie stood back and watched the
shoot. After, the photographer asked Amanda out and she turned him down.
David called asking for a progress report on JR, and she blew him off.
Amanda wanted to borrow the sexy dress Randi wore for the
shoot‹ she was going out that night. Later, Randi and Frankie exchanged I
love you's, and Randi thanked him for waiting for her to be ready for sex. She’s worth it, Frankie smiled. Amanda ran into a drunken Jake at the bar while she waited for JR. He
made crude comments and continued when JR arrived. JR slugged him.
After being paged by Zach, David went to Kendall's room, where Zach demanded
David give Kendall the same miracle Rebecca had experienced. Zach asked if a
heart transplant would work, but David said Kendall wouldn't survive
the procedure. Zach swore he would never accept that Kendall was gone. Alone
with Kendall, Zach got crazy, telling Kendall to get up‹it was time to go.
Security had to escort him out.
The Hubbards and Natalia gathered in Rebecca's room, where Rebecca decided
that she would fight to live, but she would do it back in Denver. Angie
insisted she stay so they could get through it as a family.
Bianca went home and told an angry Reese about what happened. Her father had been there, said Reese. Bianca thought that
was great, but Reese was afurious that Bianca went behind her back and
contacted her parents.
