AMC Week of February 1, 2010
Monday
Ryan and Erica kissed passionately in her office. Greenlee approached and was about to walk in on them, but David grabbed her from behind and stopped her. He explained that now wasn't the time to see Ryan, noting that Ryan moved on while she was presumed dead and that seeing him now could affect her recovery. Greenlee sadly realized that Ryan was with another woman.
Jake and Amanda snuggled and joked. Their kissing was interrupted when Opal came by with a cup full of tea leaves. She shared that the leaves had predicted that someone was returning to town, and believed that it was David. Jake and Amanda assured her that he was gone, but Opal wasn't so sure. After she left, Amanda was a little shaken by the prediction, but insisted that she was fine. "I wish she was a coffee drinker," sighed Jake.
At the ConFusion party, Krystal eyed Tad as he enjoyed himself with Liza; Tad then watched as Krystal left with Rob. Liza asked if something was still going on between him and Krystal, but Tad said he wanted to be with Liza and kissed her. Tad pulled back when he thought he spied David. An annoyed Liza asked if he always kisses with his eyes open. They began to kiss again, but Tad again pulled away and called Jake and Amanda.
Jake was surprised when Tad informed him that he spied David in the ConFusion parking lot. Tad overheard Jake lie to Amanda that there was an emergency at the hospital and implored him to tell her what's going on. Before leaving, Jake asked Amanda to lock the door. Later, Liza came by and warned her about David. Amanda wasn't too surprised, given Opal's prediction.
David took Greens back to Wildwind, which had boxes all around it because he'd been packing up his things. Greenlee asked why Ryan had to start seeing someone. David replied that as far as Ryan knew, she was dead. Greenlee wanted to know who the woman was.... At the party, Erica was nervous about answering personal questions. However, she took the stage and confidently announced that she and Ryan are dating and have nothing to hide. Ryan joined her on the stage and they kissed right in front of everyone. The crowd applauded.... David lied to Greenlee that he doesn't know who Ryan's new girlfriend is. Greenlee planned to ask around. "Everyone thinks you're dead," David reminded her. "Then it's about time I start rising from the dead," Greens retorted. She was shocked when David revealed that Kendall and Zach had left town. Hayward reminded her that a lot has happened in the past year. Greens concluded that Ryan was seeing Kendall. David lied and confirmed it. Just then, Tad and Jake pounded on the door. David let them in and they asked why he was back in town. David replied that he's been packing up his home and is putting it on the market. They didn't believe him. Meanwhile, Greenlee hid behind some boxes as the guys spoke. David assured the others that he'll be out of town for good in a couple of days. They accused him of lying and warned that they'd be watching him. "There's nobody for you here," Tad sneered. "I know I'm universally hated and I'm going," David stated. After they left, David searched for an MIA Greenlee..... Tad and Jake returned to Liza and Amanda. Jake confirmed that they went to see Hayward.
Ryan took Erica home, where they were greeted by a table set up with wine and fruit. Ryan admitted that he hadn't set up the surprise. Erica believed that it was Opal's doing. Ryan then found a drawing of Emma's on the table and said that he'd put it away. He sensed that something strange was going on. Later, he and Erica cuddled on the couch, but he still couldn't shake the feeling that someone had been in there. Still, he forgot about it as they kissed.... Greenlee arrived at his place and hesitated as she was about to knock on the door..... Erica and Ryan fell into bed together and began to make love.... Greenlee found the key to the apartment outside the door and quietly opened it. She stepped inside — and spied Ryan with Erica!
Tuesday
Adam discovered Damon in Colby's bed. Colby threw her dad out when he blustered. Colby convinced Damon not to leave town.
The sexual tension was thick as Annie asked Scott to be her Chandler mentor. Scott didn't want to team up with her but Annie told Adam that Scott had agreed to work with her. Annie ended up quickly proving her value to Scott as they worked on the Chandler audit. He apologized for having been hard on her earlier and admitted that he had a hard time trusting himself around her.
Liza, Tad, Jake and Amanda met to discuss their civil suit against David. Amanda was reluctant to relive everything on the stand. Jesse called Tad to tell him that David had returned to town, but not alone. Tad left to see what he could dig up and blocked Jake's attempt to come with him. At ConFusion, he tried to chat up David's private pilot, but the fellow had been warned that Tad might try to get info out of him and made it clear to Tad that he wouldn't betray David's confidence. Jake revealed to Tad that he had intercepted the delivery that David's pilot was waiting for.
Greenlee could not believe her eyes when she walked in on Ryan and Erica in the throes of passion. She left undetected. David caught up to her and whisked her back to Wildwind, where she demanded that he tell her about Ryan and Erica's involvement. Livid, Greens planned to go back to Ryan's to confront him; David talked her out of it. Back at the penthouse, Ryan and Erica snuggled and celebrated their decision to go public. Opal showed up to congratulate them. Ryan and Erica were confused when Opal said that she had not arranged the romantic dinner for them.... David agreed to take Greenlee away from Pine Valley. Then, on the pretense of wanting to pass along some medical contacts to Kendall, David went to see Erica at Ryan's and swiped an item at Greenlee's behest from inside the penthouse. Ryan caught him there and demanded to know what he was doing there. David covered, then exited. But Ryan was suspicious and figured out that David had taken something out of the penthouse.
Greenlee was forced to hide at Wildwind when Liza and Amanda came by. She tried stifle a cry of physical pain but couldn't contain it and the ladies heard her. Amanda chalked it up to the old house making noises. David returned home and told Liza and Amanda that he was on his way to Malaysia. After they left, Greens came out of her hiding place. David handed her the flash drive that she had sent him to get at the penthouse. She wouldn't reveal the contents of the flash drive to him. He examined her back. They then went to Fusion, where Greens tapped into the computer system and revealed to David that she was going to use the flash drive to completely wipe out the company's computer system. When it didn't work as easily as she expected it to, she became agitated and hurt her back again. She celebrated when the files began to wipe out. David carried her out.
Colby approached Bailey at ConFusion to defend Damon to her. Damon showed up and scoffed that Bailey clearly didn't believe in him. Damon was determined to figure out who was setting him up as the culprit behind the break-ins.
Tad and Jake returned to the loft and showed Liza and Amanda the pills that David had had delivered. Jake explained that the drugs were used by transplant patients or stem cell research. Meanwhile, Ryan and Erica went to Wildwind and Ryan kicked in the door when no one answered. He picked up Greenlee's sweater.
Wednesday
Angie, Jake and Amanda pondered the meds that David had had sent to his pilot. Amanda asked Jake to postpone filing the lawsuit but he was determined to get to the bottom of what David was up to. Angie determined that the meds were what they said they were.
Frankie tended to Krystal, who'd suffered a neck injury. Krystal warned Frankie not to tell Tad. Krystal called Opal with a cover story. Frankie approached Angie, who was testy when Frankie wondered why she was still at work.
Tad paid a visit to Liza, who was about to file the lawsuit against David. Tad wanted to hold off on the filing. Marissa showed up at Tad's invitation and was stunned when Tad told her that David had returned to town. She agreed to try to suss out the real reason why. Opal called Tad and summoned him home because something strange was happening with Krystal. Liza tried to get Marissa to open up about how she feels about David; Marissa insisted that her father doesn't love her.... When Tad got home, Opal ordered him to track Krystal down. Frankie called Tad and informed him that Krystal was in the hospital following an accident. Tad rushed to the hospital and confronted Rob. Krystal entered and admitted to Tad that she was injured when the bed she and Rob had been fooling around in collapsed. Krystal blasted Frankie for calling Tad. Tad cracked up when he realized that Rob had injured his private parts. Krystal and Tad returned home. Liza came by to find out what the family emergency had been.
At Wildwind, David tended to Greenlee and gave her some pain meds, which knocked her out. David's pilot showed up with his package, but the meds he was expecting had been swapped with a pair of sneakers by Jake. David blew a gasket. He went to the hospital and told Angie, Jake and Amanda that he was working with a stem cell patient. He claimed that the patient was Nurse Gayle. Angie agreed to run the labs that David requested and David demanded that Jake return the medication. Jake called Liza to update her. Amanda complained to Angie about Jake's refusal to let the David issue die. Marissa confronted David at the hospital.
At Fusion, Ryan and Erica were horrified to realize that someone had wiped out the company's computer system. Jesse arrived to investigate. At the station, Natalia and Jesse discussed the cyber-sabotage. He also opened up a bit about things with Angie. Ryan went home and recalled David's visit to his penthouse earlier that day. Back at Fusion, Madison gave Erica a much-appreciated pep talk. Erica said that she intended to go head-to-head with whoever had done this to her company. Erica called a press conference challenging her enemy to show themselves.
When Greenlee woke up, she had groggy visions of Ryan. She then saw the news report on Fusion's crisis and smiled to herself. When she saw Erica's press conference, she became upset and strained her back throwing the remote across the room. She passed out again, not realizing that she'd actually begun a fire. Ryan came knocking on the door.
Jesse went to the hospital to see Angie but she walked away when Brot called to report to Jesse that the fingerprints on the flash drive belonged to David. Jesse came to the hospital to interrogate David.
Thursday
Colby came to talk to Liza about Damon. She begged her mom to give Damon the benefit of the doubt. She stormed out after accusing her mom of judging Damon unfairly.... JR was in agony when Marissa walked in with the news that David was back. She rushed to his aid; he asked her to hold him as he dealt with the painful side effects of his chemo. JR comforted her when she said she felt like an orphan again after her confrontation with David. Colby showed up and was upset by JR's appearance. He claimed to have the flu. Colby found his nausea pills and JR tearfully admitted that he has cancer. She was crushed and ran out. JR left her a message asking him to call him. JR prayed to go back into remission in order to give his sister some good news.
At the police station, Brot and Natalia halted their bickering when Damon, followed by Bailey, entered. Nat stepped in to question Damon despite Brot's protests that she didn't have Jesse's authorization to do so. Natalia demanded the truth from Damon when he tried to use Colby as an ally. Liza showed up to serve as Damon's attorney and was surprised when Damon said that he had stayed as a guest in Colby's room. Liza blasted Damon for taking advantage of Colby; he insisted that nothing had happened. Natalia berated Brot when she realized that he called Liza. Colby showed up and confirmed to Liza that she had invited Damon to stay with her. Bailey was devastated when she overheard. She told Damon that she never wanted to see him again and stormed out. Natalia reluctantly let Damon go. Colby and Liza had another blow-up and she left.
At Fusion, everyone worked frantically to rebuild the company's computer system. Randi reported that the phones were down, as well. Erica snapped at Randi for her bad attitude. Randi accused Madison of making her look bad in front of the boss. Erica phoned Ryan and left a message asking him to call her right away. She also called Kendall to update her. Everyone applauded when Erica and Madison announced that they had the full support of several of their biggest accounts. Randi tried to control her jealousy of Madison.
Jesse went to the hospital demanding answers about why David's fingerprints were on the flash drive that destroyed Fusion's computer system. David claimed that the flash drive had been stolen during the break-in at Wildwind. David bolted when he got word of the fire at Wildwind.
Ryan tried to break down the door to Wildwind when he heard the fire alarm. Inside, Greenlee woke up coughing. The firemen arrived. Inside Wildwind, Greenlee had made herself scarce, but Ryan became alerted when he saw the IV she had been hooked up to. David entered, followed by Jesse, and faced a grilling from David about the IV machine. Ryan insisted that a woman had been at the house. Ryan copped to having broken in earlier. Ryan and Jesse left and David found Greenlee, who had been hiding. David was mad at her for having sent the pilot away. David was hoping that they would leave town right away but Greens announced that she had to stay in Pine Valley. She explained that she needed to go about getting back at Erica another way. She asked David to stay and fight with her. Her plan? "You're going to marry me," she announced to David with a sly grin.
Ryan took Jesse to the penthouse and showed Jesse the item that David had been fiddling with at his place. Ryan theorized that the flash drive had originally belonged to Greenlee. Jesse and Ryan went to Fusion to update Erica.
Friday
At the police station, Erica told Jesse that she would get to the bottom of why David would have sabotaged Fusion. Jesse wanted the cops to handle it but Erica scoffed that Hayward would only tell the truth to her. Ryan tried to talk her out of it but she was undeterred. Jesse and Ryan continued to speculate as to what motivated David.
Opal did a reading for Krystal. She sensed that something wicked was heading to Pine Valley.... Amanda asked Jake if he was really ready to let his vendetta against David go. Jake said yes, as soon as he knew David was out of town. They went over to Tad's and announced that they were going to drop the lawsuit. Tad got a call informing him that David's plane had left for Gloucester. The Martins celebrated, while Opal looked unconvinced that their worries were behind them. Ryan went over to the house to tell them about the sabotage. Ryan was baffled when Amanda told him about the shredded tabloid cover of Ryan and Erica that she and Liza had found at Wildwind earlier. The crew trekked back to the police station to suggest to Jesse that David might have been motivated by jealousy.
At the Wildwind chapel, Greenlee tried to talk David into marrying her. She was enthused at how much it would crush Ryan. Finally, David grinned and accepted Greens's unique proposal. They schemed to get people to attend David's wedding to a mystery bride, who would, of course, turn out to be her. Greenlee wanted to invite Zach and Kendall, too, and spit venom toward Kendall for sleeping with Ryan. "You miss her," David observed. She refused to confirm it. After David left, Greens fantasized about getting her revenge on Ryan and Erica. David went back to the main house, where he was surprised by a visit from Erica. She said that if he were guilty of the sabotage, she doubted that he'd be leaving town. He insisted that he was innocent. Erica claimed to want David to invest in Fusion; he didn't buy it. He told her to leave. Later, Erica was floored by an unexpected visitor at her door.
