After Ryan and Aidan urged Annie to put down the gun she was training on Ryan, Annie capitulated. She asked Aidan why it took her so long to realize that she'd lost Ryan forever. Aidan vowed to get Annie the help she needs; she said she didn't need anyone but him. Aidan gently insisted that she needed to go back to Oak Haven, but allowed Annie to get one last look at Emma. Annie resolved to get better for her daughter's sake.
In Connecticut, Bianca and Reese were formally wed. While this joyous occasion was taking place, Greenlee careened over a cliff to avoid a head-on collision with Kendall, who was driving erratically while ranting at Zach about Reese. Zach got out of the car to investigate. A horrified Kendall saw Greenlee's veil. Zach summoned the police and told Kendall that he was going to claim that he was driving. Ryan arrived and was horrified when Zach updated him on the situation. He searched frantically for his bride-to-be and
despite Zach urging him against it, Ryan dove determinedly into the water but failed to find Greenlee. Zach, meanwhile, gave a false version of events to the cops in order to protect Kendall. When Ryan heard that "Zach" was driving on the wrong side of the road, he flipped, railing at Zach and accusing him of driving Greenlee off the road deliberately. When Kendall explained that she and Zach had been arguing about Reese, Ryan commented that Zach had slept with Reese. Kendall demanded to know what Ryan saw transpire between Reese and Zach. Zach copped to having kissed her.
Back at the inn, Erica delivered a warm toast to her daughter and daughter-in-law. Opal expressed her doubt that Greenlee was really absent due to food poisoning. Jack left a message for Greens and Erica left one for Kendall.... Jack and Tad discussed being single and Erica told Tad she was sorry to hear about his divorce.... Amanda consoled JR, who had Babe on the brain.... Frank, Tad and Jake discussed their antipathy toward David.... JR and Amanda took to the dance floor. She became distracted when she believed that she caught a glimpse of David. JR thought she was just being
paranoid.... Zach and Kendall arrived and the party ground to a halt as Zach broke the news that there had been an accident involving Greenlee. Tad and Jack took off to aid in the rescue effort, meeting up with Jack at the accident site.... Kendall blurted out that if they didn't find Greenlee, Erica's new daughter-in-law was to blame, then collapsed as Erica was trying to grasp how the accident had occurred.
Tuesday
At the hospital, Zach informed Kendall that the rescuers still hadn't found Greenlee. Kendall railed at Zach for being so concerned with keeping their stories straight about who was driving. David burst in to warn her about her blood pressure. In the hallway, Reese told Zach that there was no news on Greens. Back in Kendall's room, Kendall asked Zach if he had slept with Reese. He adamantly denied it but copped to feeling a strong bond with the baby. Kendall asked Zach why he felt so drawn to Reese. Zach explained that he'd needed a friend as he watched Kendall slipping away.... David blasted some slow-moving employees, then met up with Krystal, to whom he ranted about how Greenlee's demise was no accident.... Zach told Reese that Kendall's upset about his closeness to her and to Gabrielle. They discussed their kiss. "I wanted to kiss you," admitted Zach. He broke the bad news to Reese that Ryan saw them smooching and told Greenlee. He told her that their friendship had to end. Now.
At Oak Haven, Aidan tried to stop Sinclair from contacting the authorities about Annie's escape. Sinclair was convinced that Annie had tampered with the brakes on Greenlee's motorcycle, which was the first Aidan knew of his ex-wife's presumed death. Aidan rushed out. A smug Sinclair told Annie that her competency hearing had been scheduled for the next day and that she was likely to be declared fit to stand trial. Annie was confused when Sinclair asked her to reveal how she'd killed Greenlee. "I didn't hurt Greenlee," insisted Annie.
At the inn, Bianca and Erica tried to console Jack. Jesse broke the news to Ryan that the search mission was transitioning into a recovery mission. Ryan refused to accept it. He told Binks that they couldn't stop him from going back out in search of his lady love. Bianca asked Ryan why Greens had been en route to the chapel in the first place. Ryan divulged that he walked in on Reese and Zach "on their way" to having sex. Binks reeled. She told Erica that she had been right about Reese and Zach. "Ryan saw them together," she wept before running off.... Jesse announced that weather conditions were worsening and that it was time for everyone to go home. Jesse confirmed to Ryan that the searchers think that Greenlee is dead. Furious, Ryan prepared to go look for her by himself. "I'll help," declared an arriving Aidan.... Jack flipped out on Erica. She responded by throwing her arms around him. Erica told Jack that she knows how he feels, having just been through Josh's death. She told Jack not to give up. Jack planted a kiss on La Kane, then took off.
Jake, though distracted by thoughts of Greenlee, tried to go back to work. Tad and Jake looked down the hall to where Krystal was wrapping her arms around David, who was despondent over Greenlee.
At the site of the accident, Jesse tried to keep Ryan calm. Ryan swore up and down that the whole thing was Zach's fault. He grew increasingly adamant. Aidan fished for info from Jesse about whether the bike had beentampered with. A ranger found a scrap of Greenlee's wedding dress.
JR and Amanda went to visit Babe's grave. JR told Amanda that she's the person who most helped him through Babe's death and that she was going to be a wonderful mother. As they were leaving, Krystal and David arrived. David took the opportunity to get in a dig at Amanda for being involved with JR. David continued to insist that Babe's death was JR's fault. His tirade was interrupted by a page from the hospital. Krystal decided to remain at the cemetery. She asked Amanda for some time alone with JR, so Amanda made herself scarce. Krystal told JR that she was happy that he was building a new life, which is what Babe would have wanted. JR scoffed that Amanda confronted David about his show at the cemetery. David said that until a DNA test proves otherwise, he knows there's still a chance that he's the dad — and that if she didn't deliver Little A to him, he would tell JR that he paid her to get him to drink.
Bianca came to see Kendall in her hospital room. Binks put together that Kendall had taken off before the wedding because she'd overheard Bianca telling Erica that she was staying in town. The sisters' argument quickly escalated. Binks told Kendall that she knows why Greenlee was headed back to the hospital. "So do I," replied an icy Kendall. Bianca swore that she hadn't known that anything was going on between Reese and Zach. "I honestly believed she loved me," said Bianca.
Annie told Sinclair that Aidan would prove her innocence. Sinclair took
great pleasure in telling Annie that Aidan was gone.
At the site of the accident, an emotional Aidan lashed out at Ryan, blaming
him for not protecting Greenlee.
At the hospital, Jake informed Zach that Kendall didn't want to see him.
Greenlee appeared to Kendall to tell her that the accident wasn't her fault
and to remind her that Zach loves her. Kendall woke up.
Reese tried to reach out to an upset Bianca. "Don't touch me," snapped
Bianca to her wife.
Wednesday
"Don't you dare touch me," said Bianca when Reese reached out to her. She tried to force Reese to admit that she is attracted to Zach. "Lesbians don't just go around kissing men," Binks pointed out. "You lied to me about who you are." Reese tried to defend herself but Bianca was unmoved. She told Reese that Reese had broken her heart and she couldn't forgive her. Binks claimed that Greenlee was dead because of Reese's actions. Reese cupped Bianca's face in her hands and asked, "Do you still love me?" "Yes," replied Bianca. But she maintained that that wasn't enough.
Jake told Zach that Kendall didn't want to see him. He barged in to
Kendall's room anyway, followed by Erica. "Get out!" bellowed Kendall. Reluctantly, he left. Erica tried to comfort Kendall. "My best friend is dead and my husband kissed another woman," lamented Kendall. La Kane maintained that it was Reese's fault, not Zach's.... Zach insisted to Jake that Greenlee isn't dead, just missing.... Jake visited with Kendall, who expressed her desire to go home.
At the accident site, Aidan ranted and raved at Ryan, accusing him of killing her. He decked Ryan; Ryan lunged for him. Jesse intervened, pulling the men apart. After sending Aidan away, Jesse tried to reason with Ryan about how there's no way that Greenlee could have survived. Jesse empathized with Ryan's loss, noting that he had recently lost someone dear to him. Jesse was called away to look at something, paving the way for Ryan to flash back to his history with Greenlee.
"Aidan's gone," Sinclair taunted Annie, telling her that Devane was lying when he said that he would help her. Annie countered that Aidan would make sure that Sinclair pays. She divulged that she knows about Sinclair's history with Richie. When Aidan returned to Oak Haven, Sinclair confronted him about his blabbermouth. Sinclair told Aidan that he hadn't known Richie at all; he wasn't a sociopath but rather a complicated man who didn't deserve to die at Annie's hands. Sinclair said that Annie would kill again ‹ and when she did, it would be on Aidan. She told him that she would leave
town and sign Annie's case over to another doctor. Sinclair then reported to Annie that Aidan had confirmed her innocence in Greenlee's demise. "You're being transferred to another hospital," Sinclair told her. "A morgue." With that, she brandished a tire iron in Annie's direction. She dropped it without causing Annie harm, but when Annie goaded the doc, Sinclair smacked her and she hit her head as she fell. Annie struggled to stand up and saw Sinclair holding a syringe. As she stood poised to inject Annie, she ordered
her to relax....
La Kane showed up at the Slater house to read Reese the riot act. Bianca, carrying Gabrielle, ordered her mom to back off, but Erica was on a roll. Binks summoned Miranda. She asked her mom to bring Miranda to the car, saying that she was hoping to stay with La Kane at the casino. Erica readily agreed. Binks offered Reese the chance to say good-bye to Gabrielle. Reese begged her to reconsider. Bianca accused Reese of loving Gaby more than
Miranda since Gaby is her connection to Zach. "I am not in love with him," wept Reese. Binks acidly suggested that Reese slip into something sexy and open a bottle of wine so that she and Zach could consummate her wedding night. With that, she departed. At the casino, Bianca wept on the couch and Erica tried to console her. "I feel like I've been raped all over again," said Bianca.... When Kendall returned home, she found Reese there. Kendall tossed her out.
Zach went to the casino and told everybody to leave. "The casino is closed!" he barked. Glancing at Myrtle's portrait just worsened Zach's pain. Ryan entered as Zach was speaking aloud to the portrait. The men stared each other down. "I would do anything to bring her back," said Zach. Ryan made it clear that he holds Zach responsible for Greenlee's demise. "I swear to God," he said. "I will make you pay. I will take everything, everything you have, everything you love."
Thursday
Kendall threw Reese out of the Slater house. Bianca called Reese's cell phone and asked to see her right away.... Kendall tried to console Emma, who was missing her mommy and daddy and Greenlee. Emma observed Kendall's sadness and loaned her stuffed animal to Kendall. Opal came by, devastated by what had happened to Greens.
At the casino, Ryan made it clear to Zach that he held him responsible for Greenlee's death and would make him pay. After their heated discussion, Reese arrived and Zach beat a hasty retreat. Binks entered and came to Reese's defense as Ryan laid part of the blame for Greenlee's death at Reese's feet. Ryan left with a parting shot to Reese about how he had to go tell his daughter that Greenlee is dead. Bianca introduced Reese to her
attorney, who would be handling the annulment. Reese was stupefied and tried to dissuade Bianca, but Binks made it clear that Reese had completely ruined the trust and the love between them. Reese still refused to sign the papers. Bianca insisted that the children were hers, not theirs. Reese tore up the papers, telling Bianca that it was not going to go down like this....
Sinclair prepared to inject Annie with a syringe. Annie decked Sinclair and screamed for help. They struggled and Aidan burst into the room, rescuing Annie. Sinclair ended up getting stuck with the syringe, which was poison-filled. "Dr. Sinclair tried to kill me," announced Annie. Sinclair was spirited to the hospital. Aidan told Annie that she was proud of her for having fought back. Aidan assured Annie that he would always protect her.... David worked to save Sinclair. Aidan carried Annie into the ER; Angie examined her. Jesse showed up and asked Aidan for answers. Aidan explained what he'd been doing at Oak Haven. Jesse's mind reeled from Aidan's story, including his discovery that Sinclair had been romantically involved with Richie. Tad showed up and assured Jesse that every word out of Aidan's mouth was true.... Annie sensed that Angie was afraid of her.... David told Jesse that Sinclair was going to live. He asked David not to share the news
with Sinclair; David did, but made it clear that Jesse was now in his debt. He went to see Sinclair, who said that Annie wasn't faking. Sinclair admitted that she had tried to kill Annie. "Am I gonna be with Richie now?" she asked weakly.... Angie told Aidan that Annie was asking for her. Jesse returned to Aidan, Tad and Angie and told Aidan that his story checked out. Aidan departed to see Annie; Jesse refused to reveal his methods of getting Sinclair to talk to Tad.... David got a call that left him cheerful, provoking the suspicions of Angie, Jesse and Tad.... Aidan told Annie that she was going back to Oak Haven, but not to a maximum-security ward. She vowed to get better for him, but especially for Emma.
Zach returned home and was surprised that Kendall was already home from the hospital. Things between them remained stained as they supped. Kendall said she was leaving to go see Ryan because he needs her. Zach countered that he needed her, too; Kendall made it clear that she felt that Ryan's needs were more pressing.
A grief-stricken Ryan returned home to the empty penthouse. Opal arrived with Emma. Emma asked for Greenlee. Kendall showed up and, with difficulty, she and Ryan broke the news to Emma about Greenlee being gone. Ryan fought a losing battle against his tears.
Friday
At the hospital, Joe and David discussed the budget for the Go Red Ball. Joe began to suffer chest pains. David insisted on examining him.
Zach left a message for Kendall, who hadn't returned home. "Your wife left you?" said an arriving Bianca. "Maybe there is some justice in the world." As Binks laid into Zach, he accused her of having turned into her mother. "It makes me sick," he spat. "Go to hell," she responded, then stormed out.
Kendall presented breakfast to Ryan at the penthouse. Ryan said that he knew what today was (Greenlee's birthday). They grieved together for her loss, and Ryan wished Greenlee's picture a happy birthday and apologized to her. Kendall urged Ryan to lean on his friends, Zach included, which did not interest him. Jesse arrived and Ryan told him that he wanted Jesse to charge Zach with murder. Jesse tried to reason with Ryan, noting that Zach couldn't have seen Greenlee's motorcycle under those conditions. Ryan made it clear to Kendall that if she and Jesse weren't with him on this, they were against him. In the hallway, Jesse asked a shaken Kendall if there was something else she wanted to tell him about the accident. Kendall insisted that there was nothing more to say about what happened.
At the casino, Erica tried to block Reese from seeing Gabrielle. Reese presented Erica with papers granting her access to her daughter, but Erica was unimpressed. Erica challenged Reese to prove her love for Bianca by leaving town and not fighting her for custody. Erica seemed moved when Reese insisted that she didn't want Gabrielle to feel that she'd been abandoned by her mother. La Kane let Reese hold the infant, but just for a few moments. Reese observed (correctly, it seemed) that Erica clearly thought Bianca was being irrationally harsh.... Bianca and Reese went head-to-head over the court order Reese had gotten to keep Binks in the country. Bianca coldly stated that she no longer loved Reese, that she had only loved the image she had had of her. She told Reese that she never wanted to see her again.
Jake approached Krystal at The Comeback, inviting her to join him and Tad. She was wary but agreed. Tad was welcoming until he saw Krystal's ring. Tad and Krystal got into it and Tad remained adamant that Jenny is not to anywhere near Wildwind. Krystal took off back to the bar; Jake followed and tried to caution Krystal against marrying David. Jake left after getting a call from David about Joe. Krystal returned to Tad's table and tried to defend David to Tad. When David arrived, he informed Tad that Joe's heart was acting up, so Tad bolted. David told Krystal that he wanted her to plan the benefit. She agreed, and they went back to Wildwind, seemingly very much in love. While David was showering, Krystal answered David's cell phone. The person didn't speak. In a robe, David warned Krystal never to answer his phone.
At the hospital, Jake tried to reason with David about Joe. Tad met up with Joe and Jake. The Martin men commiserated about David's obvious desire to keep Joe away from the benefit so that David could claim all the glory for himself. Joe told Tad and Jake that it was up to them to carry on the fight against Hayward.
Kendall met up with Zach at the casino. She warned Zach that Ryan is on the warpath. Zach shot down Kendall's desire to come clean about the fact that she had been driving. Their conversation, which started out as mutually supportive, quickly devolved into an argument. Kendall asked him if she wanted out of their marriage. He insisted that he did not, but she declared that she was done fighting for them. "I'm not going to stop loving you," he cautioned. Reese overheard Zach as he declared to Kendall that he doesn't
care about Reese and wished she would just go away. Kendall left, saying that her mom needed her. When Zach turned around, he was face-to-face with Reese. She begged him to help her stop Bianca from taking the baby away.
Erica came by to see Ryan. Ryan asked Erica to take care of Kendall, as he planned to destroy Zach. Erica tried to reason with Ryan; he was undeterred in his intentions. After Erica left, Ryan assured Greenlee's picture that he wasn't going to let go of his vendetta. "I'm taking everything that means anything to him," Ryan vowed.
Kendall met up with Erica and Bianca at ConFusion. Erica told her that Reese wants joint custody, so they had to prepare for the court hearing. Kendall said she wasn't going to help Bianca clean up her mess.
