AMC Week of February 28, 2011
Monday
Ryan and Greenlee went to Scott and Madison's hoping for more clues as to Emma's whereabouts. Scott and Greenlee privately discussed her decision not to tell Ryan that Mad is carrying his baby. Meanwhile, Madison felt the baby kick for the first time, in Ryan's presence. He was surprised: "Isn't it too early for the baby to kick?" She covered. Meanwhile, Scott told Greens that despite him starting to see Mad as part of his deal with Greens, he now genuinely cared about her. Ryan and Greenlee left. Madison and Scott went to Krystal's, where she admitted that she had nearly told Ryan the truth about the baby.
Bianca and Erica discussed her plan to dissolve her partnership with Caleb. Bianca told Erica that she's getting a divorce. Erica was heartbroken for her daughter. Binks advised Erica to be very careful before marrying Jack again.
Jack and Krystal met at Krystal's. Opal joined Jack at his table when Krystal left and let it slip to Jack that Caleb and Erica had kissed on New Year's Eve. Jack was furious despite Opal's insistence that it didn't mean anything. Opal told Jack that Erica is severing her business partnership with Caleb for Jack's sake.
At ConFusion, Asher confided (somewhat) in Caleb about Colby. Caleb advised Asher to come clean with Colby. Erica went to ConFusion and blasted Caleb for having blown her off. Caleb apologized and thanked Erica for helping him get his son back.
Asher brought food to Colby at home. A guilt-ridden Asher confessed to Colby that he had overheard Damon and Liza talking about their tryst. Colby felt betrayed and lashed out at Asher. Asher made things worse by divulging that Liza had convinced him not to tell her. Asher went to ConFusion and berated Caleb for what he viewed as lousy advice. In light of the argument, Erica told Caleb that their conversation could wait. Jack arrived and observed them together.
Kendall went to the hospital for some tests. She and Griffin discussed the letter. Ricky burst in and cast her confusion over the letter as grief-based. Griff said they were running tests to see if her medication might be responsible for the memory loss. Griffin, who looked sourly in Ricky's direction, phoned Greenlee to say that Kendall needed a friend. Hoping to find out where Zach hid the evidence, Ricky pressed her about her husband. Griffin tried to block Ricky from leaving the hospital with Kendall, telling her that her test results didn't indicate a problem with her meds. Griffin suggested that Kendall see a therapist.
Greenlee and Ryan went to ConFusion and kept working on the search for Emma. Bianca told Greens about her imminent divorce. Back at home, Greens felt guilty when Ryan ranted about Annie taking his child away from him.
A distraught Colby made a Webcam video about her devastation.
Tuesday
Colby made a Webcam video about how Damon cheated on her with Liza. Asher startled her when she entered and she accidentally posted the video online. Asher took it down but warned her that it had already gotten a few hits. His apologies for not having told her about Damon and Liza fell on deaf ears. Colby got an e-mail from Damon and wrote him back never to contact her again. "I'm done with guys," she informed Asher. Later, Colby had a freak-out upon learning that her video had gone viral.
Amanda asked Jake how she could make things right between them. He wasn't very receptive. Amanda admitted that Tad knew she was the one to make the call. Meanwhile, Tad surprised Cara with a "first date" and they got to know each other better. She got upset when he asked her for details about Jake and ran out, barely acknowledging an arriving Jake. Tad asked Jake for help in figuring out how to explain to immigration why he'd fallen in love with Cara. Jake told Tad about what made him fall for Cara.
Jack saw Erica and Caleb together at ConFusion. Caleb left and Jack told Erica that Opal had told him she planned to quit Cortlandt. She told him that she hadn't quit. Jack confronted her about kissing Caleb. She insisted it hadn't meant anything. Jack was unimpressed and left the table to meet with Krystal, who had just arrived. After he left, Erica and Krystal had words over Jack and Caleb. Post-confrontation, Erica told a returning Jack to fire Krystal. He refused. Erica begged Jack to trust that she wants him, not Caleb. "I'm not sure I can anymore," he said before leaving.
Opal summoned Caleb to Krystal's. She told him that he was looking at his new partner. Caleb was confused by Opal's comment that Erica had quit Cortlandt.
At the hospital, Amanda approached Cara and told her she was happy she was marrying Tad. Amanda sang the praises of the Martin family to Cara. Amanda and Jake met back up in the park and he softened toward her. Cara returned to the Martin house and apologized to Tad for leaving in a huff. Jake and Amanda returned to the house in time to see Tad and Cara smooching (for purposes of taking an engagement photo).
Wednesday
Jake and Amanda showed up as Tara and Cara were smooching to fake lovey-dovey photos. Tad told Jake he was going to ask Jesse to be his best man. They met with the family, who interrogated them about each other as practice for immigration. Jesse showed up and Tad and Cara did their best to sell their engagement to him. Krystal blew up at Tad for what he was risking for Cara and for making her lie to the girls. Cara bonded with Jenny and Kathy. Together, Tad and Krystal informed the kids of Tad and Cara's imminent wedding. Later, Tad privately explained to Krystal that he wants to marry Cara to repay her for saving Jake's life.
Diane tried to cozy up to Griffin at the hospital to get info on Kendall. He stonewalled her. At the house, scheming Ricky got Kendall to open up to him about her life with Zach, his ulterior motive being trying to figure out where he would have stashed the evidence. Griffin showed up and asked Ricky to leave.
Marissa and Bianca met at Krystal's and Marissa was quite concerned about Reese possibly pursuing custody of the children. Bianca defended Reese. Ricky, meanwhile, called Diane to demand a meeting and Bianca heard him making reference to Kendall. He covered. Diane showed up and threatened Ricky about getting the job done. When Griff arrived, Diane resumed her charade of being a reporter. When she exited, Griffin told Ricky to stop upsetting Kendall.
Agent Trumbull confronted Jake. Cara arrived. Trumbull said he wanted to talk to both of them.
Bianca went to see Kendall. Kendall told Binks about the letter and her belief that something was amiss with it.
Thursday
Agent Trumble grilled Jake about his relationship with Cara and their subsequent divorce. Jake and Cara recounted how they fell in love. Cara grew upset discussing how she left Jake, and Jake demanded a halt the interrogation. After Trumble left, Jake and Cara shared a warm moment, and Amanda arrived. Cara rushed off and Jake promised his wife they'd have their lives back soon.
Griffin warned Tad that their mother was coming to town. "You ever been waterboarded?" he asked. Tad believed he could charm Mama Castillo but Griffin was concerned that all this stress would cause Cara to relapse.
Madison caught a towel-clad Scott coming out of the shower. Scott dressed and Madison headed to a doctor's appointment. "Get me a picture of the little nugget," he smiled.
David informed Ryan and Greenlee that he'd heard from Annie and she sounded desperate. Ryan blamed David for giving Annie the money to run in the first place.
Ricky arrived at Kendall's with hot chocolate. She informed Ricky that she found a flaw in Zach's letter: he never called her sweetheart — ever. Ricky tried to confuse Kendall by saying they'd already discussed that. He asked if she was taking her medication. Kendall was rattled by his inquiry. After she left, he said aloud, "Who would have thought Zach had a problem with sweetheart?" Ryan called and Ricky said Kendall was napping. Kendall returned, still unnerved. She thanked Ricky for being such a good friend.
Mama Castillo arrived earlier and bumped into Tad, who introduced himself. Tad's charm was not working on Cara's mom. They sat down for a drink. "May I call you Mom?" Tad asked. "How old are you?" she replied. "Younger than I look," Tad smiled. "I even put the gray in." Mama Castillo wanted to know what Jake did that crushed Cara's spirit. Tad defended his brother to Mama Castillo.
Kendall went to see Griffin and demanded to be taken off her meds. Griffin refused to endanger her health. They argued, and Cara arrived to talk to Griffin. Kendall overheard Cara say her engagement to Tad was a lie. Kendall vowed to keep her secret. Cara and Griff were extremely grateful. Ricky met with his co-conspirator to discuss his progress with Kendall.
Emma called Madison, who asked where the girl was. Emma said she couldn't say. Madison asked Emma to call her daddy. Emma hung up and Madison immediately informed Ryan. Madison said she heard seagulls in the background. While Ryan talked to Madison, Greenlee met with David and wanted to know why he was being so helpful. David expressed his interest in getting his medical license back. Greens said she'd help if he could help bring Emma home. "I think we've got a deal," David grinned.
Tad brought Mama Castillo to see Cara, and they found her in an embrace with Jake. Mama was not pleased.
Friday
At Krystal's, Miranda told Marissa that Reese is coming to visit and that
the entire family is going away together, hopefully. She pleaded with
Marissa to let her daughters enjoy the time with their other mother. Marissa
warned that Reese might have another agenda. Later, Reese sent her lawyer
and a nanny instead of showing up. They were sent to take the girls back to
Paris without her. Bianca refused to allow it.
Jack told Erica that he's moving out but not giving up on their
relationship. They declared their love for each other. Just as Jack was
about to leave, Marissa showed up saying that Bianca needs their help. Jack
and Erica came to Binks's rescue. Jack threatened to arrest the lawyer lest
he back off. It worked. Later, Bianca explained everything to the girls and
shared a nice moment with Marissa.
Cara broke away from an embrace with Jake just as her mother arrived. Mama
Castillo was understandably stunned by her daughter's last-minute wedding
and chided Cara for hugging her ex. There was an awkward moment. Cara
explained that Jake is married and has a son. Mama wasn't convinced of her
daughter's happiness and said she wants to take Cara home. Mama wanted to
know the truth about the wedding and asked if Tad is the love of Cara's
life. Tad and Jake stepped outside. Tad asked if there was something more
when he walked in on Jake and Cara "playing huggy bear." Jake assured him
that he's not the one who's struggling with the past. Tad understood things
are tough for Jake, who said Tad should be worried about Krystal and lying
to his kids.
Griffin told Kendal not to risk her health for Zach's letter. She told him
he couldn't understand because he's never been in love. She explained how
she and Zach were soul mates and said she owes it to their relationship to
find out what message Zach's trying to tell her. Griffin finally gave his
support and offered to help her solve the puzzle. She recited the letter.
Griffin questioned why Zach brought up his casino partners and wondered if
they could've been after them. She hadn't considered it but had to run off,
thanking Griff on her way out. Tad called Griff and warned him about his mom
being in town.
Rick had a drink at ConFusion with his co-conspirator Diana, and assured
her that he's taking care of things with regard to Kendall and covering
their own tracks. Later, back at home, Kendall was startled when Ricky
showed up unannounced. She reported that Griff cleared her to go off her
medications and offered to help with the letter. Ricky said Zach would be
disappointed in her behavior. Kendall brought up the yacht she and Zach
have; Ricky suggested they go to it to help her find the message, saying
Zach just wants her to be happy and remember him. She reluctantly agreed.
Griff greeted his mom, who was still wary of Cara's wedding. Mama then
advised her son to find love in his own life. Tad sat down with Mama
Castillo to say that he understands her concerns but assured her that he's
taking care of Cara and making sure she's kept safe. Later, Mama told Griff
she's not letting the wedding happen.
Erika surprised Jack with room service and said she doesn't want to lose
him. She vowed to fight for them and asked to start over with him. Jack
picked her up and took her to the bedroom. On the yacht, Kendall was uneasy.
Ricky took a call from Diana, who was eager to know if he'd located the
evidence and instructed him to get rid of Kendall if she finds it first.
Cara gave Jake the necklace back; Amanda spied the exchange.
