AMC Week of January 10, 2011
Monday
Madison went to the prison to see her father, who refused to see her. Scott approached her and they had a warm encounter.
At the hospital, Ryan and Greenlee tended to a stir-crazy Kendall. Ryan told Kendall that it was time to deal with Zach's will. She asked them to stay while she reviewed it. After Kendall looked over the will, Greenlee stepped out for a moment and ran into Madison, who revealed that she had seen Scott. Greens dug for info on what Madison planned to do; she said she would avoid Ryan once she started to show. Meanwhile, Kendall told Ryan about her new bond with Madison. Ryan left to go meet Zach's attorney. Madison went in to see Kendall, who offered her her Fusion job back. Kendall explained that she would be working from home for a while, so Mad would be able to avoid Greenlee. Zach's attorney told Ryan that Zach had died before the casino sale went through. This made Ryan wonder if Zach's crash was actually an accident.
At the Chandler manse, Colby blew up at Asher over their kiss and smacked him across the face.
Liza and Damon tore each other's clothes off. Post-sex, they were both somewhat mortified. She apologized; he exited without a word. Liza broke down crying. Colby showed up and asked Liza if she had seen Damon. Liza confirmed that she had visited with Damon, but, of course, omitted that she had bedded him. Colby told Liza that she was sorry for how she had treated her, which fueled Liza's guilt. Liza gushed out expressions of regret and Colby told her that she had nothing to feel sorry about. Liza tried to stop Colby from running after Damon.
Damon went to the park and ran into Tad. A deeply ashamed Damon told Tad that he had slept with Liza. Tad assured Damon that he doesn't hate him and strongly advised his son not to come clean with Colby. Damon then came face-to-face with Colby.
Greenlee visited Scott and offered him a job. He asked her what she wanted from him.
Tad went to see Liza.
Tuesday
Ryan told Zach's lawyer that he planned to investigate Zach's possible murder. Madison was shocked to hear the tail end of his conversation. Ryan explained the situation and Mad agreed not to say anything to Kendall. Mad told Ryan that she was staying in town.
During their prison visit, Scott urged Greenlee to level with him. She admitted that there was something he could do to help her. Greens explained that she wanted Scott to cozy up to Madison.
Kendall tried to flee her hospital room to see her boys. Griffin blocked her and introduced Kendall to Cara, describing Cara as Kendall's new roommate. Amanda tried to conceal her call from Jake when she was phoned regarding the inquiry that she, posing as Cara, had made regarding Cara's immigration status. Griffin tried to convince Cara to work with Kendall at her home. Jake advised Griffin not to try to tell Cara what to do. After talking with Kendall, who was desperate to get home, Cara decided to take the gig. Kendall and Cara returned home, where Amanda was looking after the boys. Amanda beat a hasty retreat. Cara sent Kendall upstairs; Jake then came over.
A guilt-ridden Damon talked to Colby in the park. He realized that Liza hadn't told Colby about their tryst. Damon confessed that he had slept with someone else. Colby was crushed.
Tad confronted Liza about sleeping with Damon. Liza wept about turning into her mother. Tad thought she was even worse than Marian (ouch). Tad promised Liza that he wouldn't tell Colby. He suggested that he had damaged Liza so badly back in the day that he was responsible for her current behavior. After Tad left, Damon knocked on Liza's door. He told her that he was quitting, for real this time.
Tad encountered Colby at Krystal's and she told him that she didn't want to break up with Damon over his error in judgement. She asked Tad to help her find out who Damon had bedded. He tried to talk her out of it.
Ryan and Madison chatted at the hospital and Mad told Greens that she was returning to Fusion. Greenlee then returned to the jail and Scott told her that he was going to go after Madison "his way."
Wednesday
Annie grew suspicious of JR's behavior. She panicked to herself that he was slipping away.
Cara, Jake and Amanda shared an awkward moment at Kendall's. After Cara left, Amanda complained to Jake about the way Cara was looking at Trevor. Amanda got a call from a frantic Annie, who asked to meet up with her. At ConFusion, Annie ranted to Amanda about what was going on with JR and her belief that Marissa wanted JR back. Just then, Marissa and JR met up at the restaurant. Amanda counseled Annie to the best of her ability before heading home to Jake and Trevor. Annie saw Marissa and JR, who were finalizing their custody arrangement, in a close moment that she misinterpreted. She began to hallucinate that Marissa was trash-talking her. JR told Marissa that he had to go out of town on business and she agreed to take care of AJ in his absence. He gave her a friendly embrace, fueling Annie's insecurities. JR then called her and Annie rushed outside. JR left her a message asking to see her that night.
Jake took Trevor home. Meanwhile, Cara berated herself for having reacted so strongly to the sight of Trevor. Amanda returned home and Jake surprised her with champagne. They talked about trying for another baby that very night. They made love.
At Krystal's, Damon told Tad that he wanted to leave town. He accused Damon of running away from his problems. Damon left and Tad got upset, hurting his hand again. An arriving Cara noted. She tended to his reinjured hand and he opened up a bit about what was bugging him. Tad admitted to Cara that he liked her more than he wanted to.
At ConFusion, Asher told Colby that he wasn't trying to make her life miserable. He picked up on the fact that Damon had done something to upset her. She got defensive and told him to take a hike. Colby told Asher that she was going to get Damon back, then went to the park, where Damon spotted her but let her leave solo. He returned to Krystal's; Cara exited. Damon and Tad apologized to one another for their earlier confrontation. Damon told Tad that he owed Colby a face-to-face meeting and thanked Tad for helping him see that. Cara returned to Kendall's and fingered her wedding ring.
Asher sat down with JR and told him that Colby is mad at him. JR asked Asher to help him surprise Annie. Colby showed up and told JR that she and Asher were no longer friends. She admitted that Damon had seen her kissing Asher and that she refused to work with him. JR begged her to reconsider. She reluctantly agreed. Colby was thrilled when Damon called. Asher rolled his eyes.
Marissa went to the mansion to return copies of the divorce papers that she had accidentally taken with her. Annie entered and hallucinated that Marissa was setting the stage for a seduction of JR. Annie accidentally knocked Marissa to the ground with a door.
Thursday
Jake and Amanda met up with Ryan and Greenlee at ConFusion. Greens excused herself upon getting a text from Scott. She told Ryan that she had to go pick up some files. At the prison, Scott told her that she had to testify on his behalf at his parole hearing the next day. She agreed after he reminded her how badly she needed his help.
Brot and Natalia dined with Frankie and Randi at Krystal's. Randi saw Madison across the room and Mad told her about her new acquaintanceship with Scott. Brot and Nat left; Mad joined the Hubbards. She told them about her return to work at Fusion. Frankie and Randi had reservations. Mad flashed back to Ryan asking her to make sure that Kendall doesn't get wind of his investigation into Zach's crash.
At the hospital, Mayor Blanco chastised Jesse for spending so much time at the hospital. Angie helped smooth over the situation.
At the Chandler manse, Annie accidentally knocked Marissa out cold with a slamming door. Annie tried to conceal her panic when JR phoned. JR told Annie that he wanted to be with her. After hanging up, Annie decided to make it look like there had been an intruder who attacked Marissa, so she trashed the living room as Marissa began to stir. She tripped the alarm and hid as an arriving JR tended to Marissa. Brot and Nat showed up. Marissa came to and realized her bracelet had been taken (Annie had pocketed it). Annie “arrived” and had more hallucinations as she watched JR and Marissa together. Annie placed a frantic call to Amanda to summon Jake to examine Marissa. Jake pronounced Marissa healthy. Amanda took Annie aside and told her that she needed some space. Annie returned to the living room in time to hear JR insisting that Marissa spend the night at the mansion. JR twisted the knife by telling Annie that he had planned to whisk her away to a ski trip in the Swiss Alps.
Ryan launched his investigation into Zach's possible murder. He ran into Mad at ConFusion and they talked about the investigation. Madison went to the jail to see Scott, who continued to make a positive impression on her. Mad revealed to Scott that she is pregnant. He agreed to keep her secret. She bolted. Scott noted to himself that Greens must know about Mad's condition.
Brot wanted to spend some quality time with Natalia post-shift — in a paid-for hotel room. Nat was hesitant. They started kissing and Nat ran out.
Greens returned home and Ryan hid the Zach documents. Greens told him that she was going to testify at Scott's hearing. Ryan praised Greens for giving Scott a second chance. Ryan told Greens that he had to go to California on last-minute business.
Friday
The morning after her attack, Marissa insisted that she was okay, but fell into JR's arms as an arriving Annie observed. Annie started to hallucinate again that Marissa was taunting her. She fled after telling JR to meet her at the hotel. There, he snapped at her for trying to get him to reconsider ditching their trip to Switzerland. JR broke the news that his divorce was supposed to have gone through that day, but he cancelled their court appearance. She almost began to hyperventilate. He assured her that everything would work out; they just had to be patient a little while longer.
Angie picked up on Natalia's upset about Brot. Meanwhile, a testy Brot approached Jesse at ConFusion. Angie and Jesse separately urged them to talk to one another about what had happened at the hotel. Brot went to the hospital and Nat told him she had made a huge mistake. She asked him to return with her to the "scene of the crime" (the hotel room). There, she revealed that she is a virgin, hence her having fled the room the night before. Brot gently put Natalia at ease and they made love. After, Natalia told Brot that she was glad she had waited for the right guy. Unfortunately, they were spotted together by the police commissioner.
Madison got a message from Scott.
Greenlee and Ryan went to see Scott. Ryan left them alone and Scott delighted in letting Greens know that he's hip to Madison's pregnancy. Scott told Greenlee not to lie to him again. Scott's parole hearing went well and he was released. Greens read a text from Madison on Ryan's phone, revealing to her that Mad knows he's going to California and that the trip is a secret from Kendall. Ryan came clean with Greens about his investigation into Zach's possible murder. Back at the penthouse, they hashed out his secret-keeping. Ryan got a call from the NTSB urging him to move his trip up.
Marissa and Scott reunited at the Chandler mansion. JR returned home and was unhappy to find his cousin there. Scott made it clear that he wasn't moving back in; he was just there to pick up one of Stuart's paintings. Marissa urged JR to remember that Scott is family. "Not anymore he isn't," hissed JR. JR informed Marissa that he had delayed their divorce hearing. JR, Marissa and AJ shared some quality time while Annie cut Marissa out of a family photo.
Angie and Jesse talked about her going to visit Cassandra in California. Jesse accidentally let it slip that they're having a little girl. They wept with happiness together. Jesse then got a call from the commissioner, saying they had to meet right away.
Scott went to Krystal's and had to order the soup because he had so little money. Annie entered and was stunned to see her ex. After their awkward catch-up, Scott thought about Stuart and assured his dad that he wouldn't hurt Madison. Madison arrived and he invited her to join him for coffee.
