AMC Week of January 28, 2008
Monday
Ryan got a call about Greenlee's turn for the worse and told Annie he had to
bolt to the hospital. She was concerned when she mentioned Emma's name and
Ryan didn't know who Annie was talking about. She asked Ryan to get checked
out himself while at the hospital. Ryan remained at home a while longer to
comfort Emma, who had had a nightmare about Richie. Annie got a call about
her test results: She is not a match for Richie.
At the manse, Adam caught JR sifting through his stuff. He covered by
claiming he had been looking for his childhood scrapbook. Adam then made JR
a business proposition for his own online department at Chandler that he
would run autonomously. JR accepted but before long they broke into an
argument over Tad. Later, Adam spied JR trying to bust into his safe and
made a covert call....
At the hospital, Zach got an update on Frankie and Greenlee's health from
Joe. Aidan tried to soothe Greens as her difficulty breathing intensified.
Angie rushed in to intubate Greens. Jack arrived and joined Aidan, Kendall
and Zach in their vigil. Jack also made a call to Erica about a strange
letter he'd received from the SEC.
Jesse stood over a sleeping Frankie and tried to fight back tears. "I am so
sorry I had to leave you and your mother," he wept. Frankie opened his eyes
and his jaw dropped. He tried to communicate to Joe and Angie what he
thought he'd seen. Angie assumed it was the meds. As she continued to work
to save her son's life, she called upon Jesse for help. Tad came to offer
Angie his support. Jesse returned to Frankie's side, where he promised to
remain. Joe told Angie he thinks she shouldn't be Frankie's doctor given
their biological relationship. Angie insisted she could handle it.
Babe and Richie hung out at ConFusion. Richie got the bad news about Annie
not being a compatible bone marrow donor. His wheels began to turn about the
possibility that Emma could be a match.
Tuesday
An emotional Angie began an experimental treatment on Frankie, hoping
against hope that she was making the right decision. She stole away to the
chapel to pray to Jesse to help their son. Greenlee appeared to be on the
mend while Frankie took a sudden turn for the worse, going into cardiac
arrest.
Jack was grateful to Erica when she donated blood for Frankie and Greenlee.
The tenderness between them was on full display. Erica went back to the
office and was frustrated by the possible financial crisis she was facing.
She dispatched Val to track down some critical financial correspondence,
which he couldn't locate. Pam suggested to Erica that they have Senatorial
candidate Samuel Woods on NEW BEGINNINGS. Erica watched a tape of Woods
delivering a speech and was impressed. She told Pam to get his number.
Babe was stunned and disapproving when she found out that JR had moved back
into the mansion. Krystal defended JR by explaining that the whole thing was
her idea and that she had allied with JR to find out what Adam knows about
Kate. At the manse, Adam met with the man he contacted after spying JR
trying to break into his safe. Later, he sat down with JR and presented him
with a "family heirloom" ring. JR was sincerely touched by the gesture.
Unbeknownst to him, Adam had had it fitted with a listening device, which he
activated and used to eavesdrop on a conversation between JR and Krystal
that confirmed to Adam that the pair was scheming against him.
At the park, Annie admitted to Richie that she would have donated her bone
marrow to him had she proven to be a viable match. When Annie went to fetch
a drink for Emma, Richie easily manipulated his niece into wanting to donate
her bone marrow to him. Annie and an arriving Ryan (who had visited with
Greenelee at the hospital and reminisced about old times with Kendall) made
it clear that they would not allow Emma to be Richie's donor.
Wednesday
As Frankie and Greenlee's cases grew more dire, Joe introduced Angie to her
crisis team, which included Julia. Angie defended herself to Joe when Joe
came down on her for administering the experimental antidote to Frankie....
Aidan and Kendall tried to keep Greenlee's spirits up. Greens insisted that
Kendall leave for her meeting with the book publisher, then broke down
crying in Zach's arms. Greens asked her new physician if she would have a
heart attack like Frankie; he hoped not.... Jack and Aidan got the bad news
from Angie that Greens's organs were shutting down. Angie was convinced that
giving the unproven antidote to Greenlee was the only way to save her life
(even though it could kill her). Aidan and Jack explained the situation to
Greens, who wanted to discuss the matter with Zach.... Angie tried her best
to steel her resolve to carry on the fight for a cure for Frankie and
Greenlee, but her emotions were getting to her.
At Fusion, Ava and Amanda observed that Babe was stressed out. She explained
that Richie needed a bone-marrow transplant and that Annie wasn't a match.
Kendall arrived, still on edge about Greenlee, and met with the book
publisher. Kendall returned to the hospital in time to see Zach and Greens
in a close moment in her hospital room.
Thursday
Pam tried to convince Erica to ask Samuel Woods to be a guest on NEW
BEGINNINGS. Later, Erica got a call from Samuel. He let her know that he
couldn't appear on her show. After hanging up, Erica instructed Pam to get
him on her show.
Richie came to the penthouse to see Ryan and Annie. With some nudging from
Ryan, Richie apologized to Emma for trying to make her want to donate her
bone marrow to him. After some cuddly family time, Ryan, Annie and Emma went
to sleep. Ryan woke up and looked at Emma and Annie as if they were complete
strangers. "Who are you?" he asked. A concerned Annie sent Emma out of the
room, then chastised Ryan for frightening their daughter. Ryan made it clear
that he was not joking and claimed never to have seen Annie before in his
life.
JR called Krystal to say he was on his way to their meeting. Unbeknonwnst to
JR, the listening device Adam planted in JR's ring enabled Adam to listen to
JR's conversation.
Julia dropped Kathy off at Tad and Krystal's before heading back to work. JR
came over and Krystal told him she was getting cold feet. Tad (and Adam, via
surveillance bug) both heard when JR said he was doing this because he
wanted to, and was doing it for Tad. JR covered his real motives to Tad. As
he eavesdropped, Adam erupted into fury — and lashed out by throwing Kathy's
adoption certificate into the fire. He swore to get revenge on all of them.
While Joe entreated Angie to keep her strength up, Zach, Kendall and Aidan
remained at Greenlee's bedside. Angie was honest with Greens, telling her
she has a long shot to survive her illness. Jack brought Lily to see Greens
for a while. Later, Greenlee was moved when Kendall and Zach brought Spike
for a visit. With Aidan and Jack by her side, Joe prepared Greens to receive
the unproven antidote. Erica joined Jack at the hospital to offer her
support. They ended up spending the night under a blanket at the
boathouse.... In the morning, Joe and Angie had to work frantically to
revive Greens, who had taken a terrible turn for the worse. Zach and Kendall
rushed back to the hospital and Aidan summoned Jack to do the same.
Jesse kept vigil at Frankie's bedside. He hid when Angie to check on their
son and listened as Angie begged Jesse to help Frankie.
Friday
At the hospital, Joe broke the bad news to Aidan, Zach and Kendall that
Greenlee was running out of time.... Jack thanked Erica for supporting him
through Greenlee's crisis. When Aidan called with the update on Greens, Jack
and Erica hurried back to the hospital.... Tad .... Angie reported to
Greenlee's loved ones that she had slipped into a coma. Greenlee's spirit
emerged from the coma to watch her family sit vigil. She imagined having
conversations with Erica, Aidan, Zach, Jack and Kendall.... Tad visited a
sleeping Frankie, unaware that Jesse was nearby — until he caught a glimpse
of Frankie through the window.... Angie worked frantically to save Greenlee
when she crashed.
At the penthouse, Ryan reiterated that he had never seen Annie before in his
life. Her attempts to jog his memory failed and they headed to the hospital,
where Ryan insisted to Joe that Annie was a loon and Joe tried to keep Annie
from losing it. When Annie tried to hug Ryan, he rebuffed her.
At the Chandler manse, Adam tried to conceal his temper from JR, who lied to
his father that he'd been at an AA meeting the night before. Once they
parted, Stuart told Adam how happy he was that JR was back home. Adam
snapped that JR could go straight to hell. Stuart berated Adam for
eavesdropping on JR via the listening device in JR's ring.... Babe came to
the house to apologize to JR for how she'd behaved upon learning that he'd
moved back into the mansion. He accepted. Babe expressed to JR how proud she
was of him.
