All My Children Recaps
AMC Week of June 16, 2008
Monday
At the hospital, Richie made a comment that sparked Zach's memory about Richie being responsible for his hit and run. Before Zach could react, the cops seized Richie. JR was worried that Richie would go free but Zach grimly said that JR shouldn't worry about it. While Angie tended to an ill Richie,
JR and Zach compared notes on Richie's misdeeds. Treena showed up to give
her statement to the cops. Zach crept into Richie's hospital room and nearly
strangled him. Zach made it clear to Richie, by making him read aloud the
words Richie had said to him that fateful night, that he knew Richie was
responsible for locking him and Greenlee inside the bunker. Next, Zach gave
JR an alibi to the cops for the time Richie claims that JR abducted him. The
cops delivered the warrant to test JR's bone marrow and Richie's. Angie
began to extract a bone marrow sample from a helpless Richie.
At the Slater house, Kendall pressed Josh to pursue Greenlee. Josh suspected
an ulterior motive and urged Kendall to handle the situation in a more adult
fashion.
Ryan came home and was panicked to find the place looking like it had been
broken into.
Greenlee was flipped out when she got home to find Annie waiting for her. A
worked-up Annie commanded Greens to find her own man and stay away from
Ryan. As Annie lay into Greens, Ryan called, frantic with worry, and Annie
said she'd talk to him about the mess at home when she got back. Greens
insisted to Annie that she wanted nothing but the best for Ryan and Annie;
Annie didn't buy it. When she got home, Ryan apologized for missing the
special night she'd planned and he was honest about having gone for a ride
with Greenlee instead. Ryan insisted to Annie that he doesn't want to get
back together with Greenlee. Annie 'fessed up to her menacing visit to
Greenlee. Ryan soothed Annie's insecurities by sweeping her into his arms
with a passionate kiss. He took Annie to bed....
Greenlee's night went from bad to worse when Kendall arrived at her
penthouse unannounced. Kendall made a strong case for Greenlee to let her
in; Greens did, then filled in Kendall about her horrid evening with Annie.
Kendall warned Greenlee that she wasn't going to give up on their
friendship. Greens was resistant but allowed Kendall to cover up her bruise
with makeup. They ended up in giggles together.
Tuesday
Frankie opened up to Jake about his concerns about his abused patient,
Randi. Jake and Frankie found common ground in their desire to correct the
wrongs of the world but Jake advised Frankie to bear in mind that he can't
help someone who doesn't want to be helped. Nonetheless, Frankie showed up
at Randi's office and got her to agree to have some coffee with him....
Richie maintained his innocence to Jake, who didn't buy it — and with good
reason, as the test results proved conclusively that Richie stole JR's bone
marrow.
Greenlee went ballistic when Zach informed her that Richie is the one who
trapped them in the bunker. An infuriated Greens ranted and raved that
Richie destroyed her life. Zach got her to lighten up a bit but when the
call came from the hospital that the DNA panel incriminated Richie, the duo
took off for the hospital to see Richie be arrested. They arrived as Richie
was being read his rights; Zach phoned Kendall with the good news.
With help from Samuel's pulled strings, Erica hosted a special edition of
her talk show from the prison, with inmataes as her audience and Samuel
Woods as her surprise-to-him guest. La Kane's performance, and more nuanced
understanding of the severity of the insider trading for which she was
serving time, impressed Samuel greatly. Erica and Sam's easy rapport did not
escape the notice of Carmen or Jack, who was also present for the taping.
Carmen also did a segment for the show and Erica helped her through her
stage fright.
On a picnic, Angie and Jesse got into a big blow-up over her refusal to
consider him rejoining the police force. She hit below the belt, bringing up
his long ago affair with Yvonne Caldwell. Jesse tried to make Angie
understand how important police work is to him but she wouldn't budge and
ended up storming off.
Wednesday
Krystal and Jenny prepared for Tad's homecoming. Tad told Aidan that he
wanted to hand over the business to him. Tad entered his house, enjoying a
warm reunion with Krystal, Jenny, Kathy/Kate and Colby. Aidan took off for
the hospital after a brief call from Greenlee letting him know that Richie
had been nabbed. Tad told Krystal that he wanted to be a full-time dad and
retire from private investigating. Tad and Kathy shared some quality time
together in the little girl's new room. Tad was blissed out to have his baby
girl home.
At the hospital, Ryan, Greenlee, Zach, Kendall, Annie, JR and Babe discussed
the DNA evidence implicating Richie for having stolen JR's bone marrow. JR
was in favor of vigilante justice. Ryan assured Annie that she wasn't
responsible for Richie's actions. Kendall told Zach about Annie breaking
into Greenlee's apartment. Zach spoke to Ryan about his plans to make sure
justice was served. Kendall made nice with JR, then volunteered her shoulder
as one for Annie to cry on.... Greens was tense when Aidan arrived; they
shared a brief conversation.
Richie indicated to his lawyer that he was far from out of options, even
though it seemed like his luck had run out... Babe came
to give Richie a piece of her mind; he maintained his innocence and made
reference to a "secret weapon," which freaked Annie out.... Annie paid
Richie a visit and he made it clear in a menacing tone that if she didn't
provide his bail money, he would out her recent misdeeds to Ryan.... JR
tried to soothe Babe, who regretted not having seen through Richie from the
start.... Richie was taken off to jail; Aidan decked him on his way out of
the hospital.
Thursday
At Greenlee's penthouse, where Josh had come to collect his missing cuff
link, Aidan had an understandably bad reaction to the realization that
Greenlee had slept with Josh. Once alone with Aidan, Greens told him that
she could not forgive him for sleeping with Kendall but wanted to be
friends. Aidan left, then returned and kissed Greenlee passionately, telling
her that he can never be just friends with her.
Frankie and Randi went to coffee and he tried to convince her to let him
help her. Randi continued to insist that she didn't need help, denying that
she was being abused. Later, she was accosted by a menacing man she clearly
knew....
Angie told Krystal about her fight with Jesse while Jesse filled Tad in
about the same argument. Angie maintained that she had every right to insist
that Jesse not go back to police work. Later, Jesse returned home and told
her that he'd accepted the job.
Jack arrived at the jail with good news for Carmen: She'd been granted a new
trial and was getting out on bail while she waited. Carmen was grateful to
Erica. As part of her bail terms, Carmen needed a job and a place to stay;
Erica hinted that she had an idea as to how Carmen could secure both.
Adam got confirmation that the damaging info leaked to the press about his
stint in the nuthouse had been planted by JR but decided not to confront his
son. Colby and Adam had it out over Adam's latest machinations. Colby warned
Adam that she would leave if he wasn't careful with their relationship
moving forward.... JR bonded with his little sister, Kathy/Kate.
Friday
Jack tried to get Greenlee to open up about her break-up with Aidan. Jack
urged Greens to give Aidan another chance. Greens made it clear she felt she
was truly unable to forgive her ex.
Annie was nervous about the procedure Ryan was set to undergo, which could
restore his memory. Alone with Ryan, Jake informed his would-be patient that
some new test results indicated that the surgery could kill Ryan. Ryan went
to the yacht club to think things over and ran into Greenlee. They decided
to take an impromptu boat ride.
At home with Kendall, who was playing with Spike, Zach's thoughts turned to
Richie and he erupted in anger.
Annie went to see Richie in his jail cell. Richie said he would reveal
Annie's recent machinations to Ryan unless Annie came up with his bail
money. In return, Annie demanded that Richie get Greenlee out of her life.
Richie agreed. Annie went to Fusion and put her hands on a key hidden in a
picture frame. Kendall came in and assured Annie she didn't have to worry
about Greenlee. Annie dashed out over Kendall's protests....
Angie was relieved when Jesse clarified that he hadn't taken the chief of
police job, he'd accepted the position as professor of crimonology at PVU.
Frank and Cassandra returned home and nursed doubts about whether Jesse's
new gig would make him happy. Jesse insisted he had no regrets, but Angie
began to wonder if he was giving up too much for her....
Jake asked Frank to consult on a case. The patient? A woman who seemed to
have been beaten up by her pimp. Frank was stunned to discover that the
battered woman was Randi.
Zach paid the prison guards to bring Richie to him. "Hello, Richie," Zach
said menacingly to his nemesis.
