AMC Week of June 30, 2008
Monday
Erica went into a panic when she and Sam got trapped together in solitary
confinement during a prison lockdown. She regained her cool and made an
impassioned speech to Sam about the horrors of prison conditions. Sam opened
up to Erica about his professional past (and workaholic nature) and the loss
of his wife on 9/11. Sam and Erica shared a passionate kiss before they were
rescued by the warden.
Richie cut off the lights at Fusion and made off with Babe. While Amanda,
Greenlee and Kendall freaked out, Richie stashed Babe in the trunk of his
car. Zach showed up and the ladies told him that Babe is missing.
Angie paid a visit to Jesse at the station. Lt. Perry told Jesse that Richie
was on the loose. Annie and Ryan arrived and Annie delivered a bogus
statement about Richie while flashing back to ordering her brother to get
rid of Greenlee. When Perry got the call about Babe and reported that Richie
had kidnapped "someone," Annie feigned surprise and gasped, "Greenlee!"
Annie was genuinely stunned when Perry said that Babe was the person Richie
had snatched.... Jesse was sworn in as chief of police then went to Fusion,
where he heard Zach telling Kendall that he should have killed Richie when
he had the chance.... Annie told Angie that she may be pregnant.... After
blowing up at Jesse about the failures of the system, Zach took off after
Richie (against Kendall's wishes). Kendall and Greenlee decided to take
matters into their own hands. Zach went to the casino and prepared to do
battle with Richie... Richie unpacked a terrified Babe from the trunk when
they arrived at their destination: The cabin he'd taken her to on their
date, back when he was using the name Wes.
At the Chandler manse, JR informed Adam that Babe was moving back in. Adam's
protests subsided when he realized it could curry favor with Krystal, who
stopped by with Little Adam. Amanda called with the bad news about Babe's
kidnapping, which devastated JR and Krystal. Adam tried to comfort Krystal;
she pushed him away.
Tuesday
At the hospital, Randi and Angie were prickly with one another as Randi
picked up on Angie's disapproval of Frank's interest in her. Angie tried to
make Randi see that she had options other than prostituting herself....
Frank admitted to Jake that he has feelings for Randi. Jake advised Frank to
be careful. Later, Angie apologized to Frank and his mom for pulling him off
Randi's case.
Krystal accused Adam of being happy that Babe was in danger. Adam vehemently
denied it and redeclared his love. Krystal was touched when Adam
complimented Babe. She allowed Adam to console her... and they ended up in a
kiss.
At the cabin, Babe tried to reason with a deranged Richie. Richie stashed
Babe away so he could call Annie, who barked at him for kidnapping the wrong
person. Richie told her to shut up and bring cash to the cabin, reminding
her that "she's up to her neck in this." Annie had no choice but to
comply.... Richie tried to convince Babe that they could run away together
and begin a new life. To save herself, Babe pretended that she reciprocated
Richie's feelings. She then tried to escpae, which turned him majorly
violent.
At Zach's office, Zach and JR discussed Babe's kidnapping. At Zach's
suggestion, JR called Babe's phone. Richie answered and enjoyed taunting JR.
The men joined with Aidan in an effort to figure out Babe's whereabouts.
They successfully traced Babe's cell phone and headed out.
At Fusion, a photo of Babe and "Wes" prompted Kendall to speculate that
Richie had taken Babe to the cabin. She and Greenlee headed there and when
they arrived, made a plan to break in. An arriving Annie spied them,
undetected.
Wednesday
As Annie watched unseen from outside the cabin, Kendall and Greenlee made
their move to free Babe from Richie's clutches. Greenlee attacked Richie
with pepper spray and she and Kendall overpowered Novack, freeing a greatly
relieved Babe, who called Krystal to say she was safe and asked her to relay
the news to JR. Annie gaped in shock as the three women took turns lashing
out at Richie for his many despicable acts and threatened to kill him. In
the end, they left him tied to a chair, and Kendall phoned Zach to say she
had a surprise for him. Once Kendall, Babe and Greenlee left, Annie entered
the cabin and approached her brother with a knife....
At the prison, Samuel paid Erica a visit and awkwardly tried to broach the
subject of their kiss. His timidity amused La Kane, who enjoyed flirting
with the Senatorial candidate, who did acknowledge that he has feelings for
the woman he sent to jail. Speaking of kisses, Krystal thought back on her
steamy smooch with Adam with a mixture of longing and regret, the latter of
which was compounded when Tad made a loving declaration of how important she
is to him and how much he cherishes their life together.
Carmen began her new job in Adam's employ at the Chandler manse; he was
confident that he'd end up regretting taking her on. In other Chandler news,
Colby was enjoying herself at the lodge with her pals Cassandra and Corrina,
who gave her grief over her infamous performance at her Sweet 16 party. The
teens surprised Colby with a visit from their alcohol-toting comrades Dre
and Ren. Colby wasted no time getting soused at her impromptu birthday
party. Dre took the opportunity to act on his crush on Cassie, but before he
could summon the nerve to kiss her, drunken Colby interrupted.
Thursday
Ryan came home to an empty home. Jesse arrived and asked to speak to Annie.
He found it suspicious that Annie would go to the movie while her psycho
brother was on the loose. Ryan tried to get Annie on the phone but had to
settle for leaving a message. Jesse went to the station to commandeer a
heated-up effort to find Richie.
Annie used the knife to free Richie from his restraints. Outside the cabin,
Kendall, Greenlee and Babe waited for Zach, JR and Aidan to arrive. The men
showed up and when the group went inside the cabin, Richie was gone. Panic
ensued. Against Kendall's wishes, Zach took off by himself in search of
Richie.... In Annie's car, Annie and Richie squabbled over his attempt to
seduce Babe and his failure to get rid of Greenlee. The siblings' bickering
grew more and more severe and it seemed that Richie may well have pushed
Annie past her breaking point....
At the lodge, Corrina was dismayed to see a drunken Colby cozying up to Ren.
Colby's pals urged her to cool it with the drinking. Corrina and Dre got
into a fight over Colby and left. Dre and Cassie, their own flirtation cut
short by Colby's antics, decided to take a belligerent Colby home, even
though she wanted the party to keep going.
At the mansion, Adam blasted Carmen's modified maid's uniform. Carm promised
not to tell anyone that she'd caught Adam talking to himself. Adam tried to
track down Colby, but when he phoned the lodge, Cassie gave him the
run-around.
