AMC Week of June 7, 2010
Monday
Jake and Amanda had trouble keeping their vow of pre-wedding celibacy. Amanda went to the hospital and learned that Janet had been sent back to the institution. Amanda broke down crying. Ruth showed up, having just flown in, and comforted her. Ruth gave Amanda "something borrowed" from Grandma Kate Martin.
Tad and Opal prepped for Jake and Amanda's bachelor and bachelorette parties. Opal took Tad to task for hiring a stripper; Tad relented. Jake came over and he, Damon and Tad salivated over the "exotic dancer" when she came by for her deposit.
Liza went to see Colby, who proposed a truce on the condition that Liza had to stop trying to break up her and Damon. Liza said that she would try to be more supportive. Liza was impressed by Colby's fashion sketches. Liza became upset when she spied a text message on Colby's phone revealing that Colby and Damon were planning to have sex the night of the wedding.
Scott threatened the blogger who wrote the nasty things about Annie. She was grateful. Annie covered when JR walked in on them discussing the technology Scott stole from Cortlandt. Scott urged JR to accept that he has no more power at Chandler. Annie and Scott reconvened and she again beseeched him to let go of his Palmer-related guilt. JR caught himself being impatient with AJ as they read a book together. JR went to the yacht club and accused Annie of throwing her relationship with Scott in his face. JR told Annie to kiss him to prove that she doesn't want him. They ended up in a passionate embrace but JR broke it off. Annie angrily told him to go but he swept her into another buss. "Please go," she begged. He did.... Scott felt guilty when Opal thanked him for the consolation flowers. Opal asked Scott what Scott and Palmer's final meeting had been about. Scott was evasive and beat a hasty retreat.
Liza stormed over to Tad's to confront Colby. Tad sent Damon packing and he and Liza got into another argument. Damon went to see Colby, who was confused as to why her mom had fled. Damon told Colby about his run-in with Liza. Colby was furious with her mom. Meanwhile, Liza met with the stripper and asked her to get Damon into bed just long enough for Colby to walk in on it.
Jake was overjoyed to see Ruth. Tad showed up and caught up with his mom. Ruth was upset to hear that he and Liza had broken up. Ruth was overjoyed when Damon entered and Tad introduced her to her grandson. The happy family scene went sour when Liza walked in. Colby planted a kiss on Damon for Colby's benefit. The exotic dancer called to accept Liza's proposition.... Jake and Amanda stole away to smooch. JR interrupted and tried not to seem as freaked out by his encounter with Annie as he was. When Marissa phoned his cell, JR claimed to be at work. Scott met up with Annie and could tell she was rattled. She told Scott that she had kicked JR out. Annie apologized, saying that she had wanted their own first time to be special. Scott told Annie that he wanted her and wanted her to move in with him.
Tuesday
At Wildwind, David made a last-ditch effort to stop Greenlee from going to the wedding rehearsal.
At the yacht club, Ruth encouraged Tad to reconcile with Liza. Liza made plans with the exotic dancer for her to get Damon into bed. Colby confronted Liza about reading her text message and Liza claimed to be sorry about it and to support her. Tad defended Liza to Damon.
Krystal came upon Jake and Amanda making out in the park before the rehearsal dinner and dragged them to the yacht club. Greenlee showed up. The rehearsal got underway with Ryan and Greenlee, and Tad and Liza, walking down the aisle together. Amanda was optimistic that her matchmaking would pay off. Amanda went to Krystal's for her bachelorette party. Liza couldn't resist discouraging Colby from consummating her relationship with Damon; Colby pooh-poohed her concerns. David interrupted a loving moment between Jesse and Angie at the hospital. Angie went to Krystal's and tried to discourage her from staying with David. Amanda offered similar advice to Greens.
The men gathered at the casino for Jake's bachelor party. Jesse and Tad discussed Damon and Tad's inactive love life. The exotic dancer sidled up to Damon and made her move but beat a hasty retreat when she spied Jesse. David crashed the party and was intercepted by Jake and Ryan. The dancer broke the news to Liza that she wasn't going to go through with the job. Frankie and Jesse tried to get David to leave but he refused. Jake needled him. Tad left the party to look for Liza but she had gone to the casino, where she approached Damon at a slot machine and pretended to be sloshed so that he would drive her home. When he went to get her aspirin, Liza texted Colby to come over immediately. Liza started to undress so Damon tried to exit but she begged him to help her with her stuck zipper.... Krystal assured Tad that she didn't care that he wanted to get back together with Liza.... Randi, Angie, Opal, Amanda and Krystal continued to celebrate. Greenlee excused herself to call David. Greens was overwhelmed with guilt when she overheard Opal leaving a message for Erica... When Jake got under David's skin about Greenlee, fisticuffs erupted.... The women decided to crash the boys' party. Colby was going to go to the casino but got Liza's text. Krystal told her that Liza was in good hands (meaning Tad's) and persuaded the girl to go to the bachelor party with the rest of the gals instead.... Liza stripped down to her bra and panties and stroked a stunned Damon's cheek — but panicked when Tad knocked on the door.... The ladies arrived as Jesse was arresting Jesse for assault.
Wednesday
Liza played drunk and came on to Damon. When Tad knocked on her door, she forced Damon to hide and scurried to put on her clothes. Liza let him in and he said that he wanted to talk to her about Damon, whose ears perked up. Tad told Liza that he wanted her to be his date to the wedding and she accepted before ushering him out. Damon emerged and called Liza out on having tried to set Colby up to walk in on the two of them. Damon revealed to Liza that he had taken incriminating pics of her on his camera phone. Colby called and Liza told her she shouldn't worry about Damon's whereabouts. Damon enjoyed lording the pics over Liza and said he wouldn't show them to Colby or Tad unless she gave him a reason to.
The ladies crashed the bachelor party as Jesse was arresting David. Greenlee fantasized about Jesse arresting her for Erica's murder and blurted out, "It was an accident!" David covered for her. Jake told Amanda that David had smacked the wedding ring out of his hand. Ryan sensed that something was wrong with Greenlee, but she denied it. David made a crack about Amanda and Jake slugged him. Jesse had no choice but to arrest Jake and bring both men down to the station. David reassured a jumpy Greenlee that everything would be fine. Jake asked Jesse to give him five minutes alone with David and Amanda became upset with Jake's inability to walk away from Hayward. Jesse agreed to let the men talk. Jake speechified to David about how he's not going to let him get to him anymore. "You breaking up with me, Jake?" smirked David. Jake returned to Amanda and told her that he was great. Angie found a stipulation in the hospital charter that dictated that she could make decisions without consulting the executive director (David) should he or she be indisposed. David was pleased when he saw Liza, but Liza revealed that she was there as Jake's attorney, not his. Jesse took pleasure in telling David that he would have to stay in jail overnight.
Back at the casino, everyone combed the ground for the wedding ring, but they couldn't find it. Frankie and Randi went to get a pal's metal detector. Greenlee went back to the casino and helped Ryan look for the ring. Opal opined to Krystal that Ryan and Greenlee belong together. Greens sidestepped Ryan's David-related interrogation and together, they found and liberated the wedding ring. Jake and Amanda returned and reunited with Randi, Frankie and the rest of the revelers. Amanda was thrilled with the return of the wedding ring. Jake broke the news to Greens that David will be in jail overnight. Before she left, she and Ryan shared a warm moment. Jake and Amanda stole away for a sweet pre-wedding good-bye.
Damon went home and was evasive with Tad as to where he had been. Colby went to Liza's and told her that nothing had changed between her and Damon. Tad told Damon that he was hoping to get back together with Liza and offered to try to help him with his gal pal's mom. Damon said that he had it covered. Colby went over to the Martin house to apologize to Damon for her mom giving him a hard time. Liza and Greenlee thought back to their evenings. Amanda showed off her wedding dress to Krystal.
Thursday
Opal, Krystal and Ruth helped an excited Amanda get ready for her big day. Amanda was suddenly overcome with emotion as she tearfully acknowledged that the ladies were part of her family. "I love all of you," she cried.
Damon gleefully looked over the incriminating photos of Liza on his camera phone. Tad asked what his son was looking at but Damon pocketed his cell. Jake pestered both guys with his video camera as he wanted to record his wedding day. Tad said it was time to leave but Jake assured he would follow. After Tad and Damon left, Jake held Trevor and videotaped a special message of love to Amanda.
Colby could tell something was "going on" with her mother when Liza didn't give her a bad time about Damon. Liza revealed that Tad wanted to try again with their relationship but she wanted to take it "one day at a time."
At the police station, Jack refused Greenlee's request to represent David,
who urged her to respect her dad's decision. Jack then revealed that he had left Erica a message that if she didn't show up for the wedding, he will
come after her, which unsettled Greens. When Jack had to take a call, David urged his wife to stop stressing out about Erica. After Greenlee headed to the wedding, Jesse informed David that there was a delay in his arraignment so he had to cool his heels for a while longer, which meant he wouldn't be attending the wedding.
While limping through the woods, Erica lamented that she should be attending Jake and Amanda's wedding with Jack. She happened upon Caleb at the crash site and groused about her current predicament. He got angry about her plane destroying his home and she promised to pay for the damages but that didn't seem to appease him. Erica found a locket in the pocket of Caleb's shirt she was wearing and asked who it belonged to. He snatched it back and growled, "None of your business." He then picked up Erica and carried her away as she screamed.
Ryan and Madison arrived for the wedding and he noticed Greenlee looking upset as she watched Jack on his cell phone. She then stressed when David didn't show up.... Colby told Damon that her mother had "mellowed" about them.... Ryan confirmed for Frankie and Randi that he was on a date with Madison.... Tad instructed the guests to take their seats and the wedding began. Amanda entered and joined a nervous Jake. They exchanged personal vows as everyone smiled and wept.
After the ceremony, Amanda was surprised that Jake arranged to have Dave Barnes sing at their reception.... Jack told Greenlee that he booked a
flight to West Virginia.... Jake asked Ryan and Greenlee to dance and they
reluctantly did.... Colby pushed Damon to dance with Liza which he did, much to her discomfort... Angie became faint and Jesse helped her off the dance floor.... Ryan asked Greenlee what was bothering her and she confessed, "I know what happened to Erica."
Friday
Amanda was thrilled, calling her big day, "The best wedding ever."
Tad and Colby were glad that Liza and Damon hadn't killed each other yet.
Colby was also happy to hear that Tad and Liza were going to give their
relationship a second chance. On the dance floor, Damon reminded Liza that he had evidence against her if she tried to keep him and Colby apart. Liza told Damon that one way or another, he'd still blow it with Colby. Then, Liza slipped that Tad had slept with her mother. Damon was shocked.
Angie told Jesse that she felt dizzy and things got blurry for a moment.
Jesse said he wouldn't leave his wife's side. Angie told Jesse her lightheadedness wasn't serious, but Jesse wanted her to see a doctor. "I am a doctor," she reminded her concerned hubby.
At the PVPD, Natalia told David that maybe if he hadn't picked a fight with
the groom, he wouldn't be there. David called the Mayor to get him out. The Mayor read Natalia the riot act and demanded his release. "Gee, I hope I didn't get you in trouble," David smirked.
Jackson danced with Krystal and couldn't figure out how Erica disappeared. Across the room, Greenlee told Ryan that she knew what happened to Erica. "What did you do?" he asked. The bride and groom interrupted the exchange. Then, Greens stormed off but Ryan followed her, which Madison noted. "Time to cut the cake," Jake declared. David arrived and Krystal was happy to tell him that his wife left with Ryan.
At Fusion, Greenlee told Ryan that Erica's plane must have crashed. "How do you know about this?" he asked. Jackson interrupted and ordered, "Tell me Erica is all right!" Jack was furious that Greenlee had kept quiet. Greens told her father to go find Erica. Ryan left to call Jesse and Jackson exploded, demanding to know what David had to do with it.
"Okay, single ladies," trilled Amanda, holding up the bouquet. Colby told Damon she planned to catch it. Liza was shocked when it landed in her hands. Jake then sat Amanda down to remove her garter. Tad caught it. "The fix is in," Ruth noted. Jesse was paged away, while Jake made Tad put the garter on Liza ‹ with his teeth. Tad did it the old fashioned way, with his hands. As everyone clapped, Krystal pretended to smile. Jake thanked everyone, especially Amanda, for being his best friend. Ruth hugged the happy couple as they left for their honeymoon. "We love you guys!" Jake told the room after giving his bride a smooch.
Jesse arrived at Fusion and told Greenlee they could either talk there or at
the police station. "Dad?" Greenlee asked. "Get out of my sight," spat Jack.
Jesse led Greenlee out. Ryan tried to calm Jack down. Krystal entered and
asked if she could help. Jack said no and took off to find Erica. Krystal
insisted on going with him.
As folks started to leave the reception, Tad told Liza she was beautiful, as
were her legs. "Are we really gonna give it another go?" she asked. "We've
got the wedding traditions on our side," he smiled. Meanwhile, Colby told
Damon that she didn't want the evening to end. Her desire for the bouquet
made him a little nervous, though.... Jake and Amanda retired to their
bridal suite.... Angie went ito work at the hospital, then looked at her tired eyes in the mirror.
At the PVPD, Greenlee stayed silent. "Do the right thing," Ryan asked. David was furious that he was still being held. Jesse said something new came up. David then saw Greenlee, who said, "They know. I told them about Erica."
