All My Children Recaps
AMC Week of March 14, 2011
Monday
At the Martin house, Jake was cranky about watching the wedding video but Tad reminded him that he needed to put on a happy face. Meanwhile, Amanda reached out to Cara. The ladies walked into the living room as Tad was telling Jake that Amanda needed to grow up. Amanda asked the group what it would take for her to be forgiven. Jake pledged his love to Tad and Amanda. Everyone agreed to make a go of the situation. Later, Tad worked on developing his Spanish skills.
Angie's friends and family welcomed her home at Krystal's. Angie and Jesse tried to conceal their anxiety from each other about the baby's impending birth. Jake and Amanda joined in the fun. Angie told Jake that she was going to take a longer leave from the job; he was happy to keep pinch-hitting. Jake and Amanda were honored when Jesse and Angie asked them to be the baby's godparents. Jesse was moved to tears when Angie suggested naming the baby after his late mother, Ellie.
Ryan overheard Madison revealing her real due date and realized that he's the father. Greenlee looked on in horror, then played dumb to Ryan about her prior knowledge of the situation. Mad confirmed that Ryan is the daddy. She explained why she had kept mum. Ryan said he would be in touch. Back at the house, Greens tried to tell him that she'd already known, but a call from the FBI interrupted her. There was no news about Emma, but Greens decided to keep her mouth shut for the time being.
Randi bumped into Scott at ConFusion and told him that Mad was at the hospital. He raced there and Mad updated him on what had happened with Ryan. Mad told Scott he was off the hook, but Scott said, "I like being on this hook."
Tuesday
Griffin examined Kendall. She promised him that she wasn't going to obsess about Zach's letter. Unbeknownst to Kendall, Griffin had the last page of the letter in his possession.
Ryan told Greenlee he was going to see Madison.
JR remained salty with Colby for her video blog. Colby defended herself.
Scott and Madison talked about Ryan knowing that he's the dad. Ryan showed up. Mad wasn't eager to include him in her pregnancy and left for work. Ryan questioned Scott about his involvement with Madison. After Ryan left, JR showed up and told Scott that he wanted him and Mad to move into the mansion. Scott admitted that he's not really the dad. JR still wanted him to move back in; Scott declined.
Erica summoned Caleb to her place. He was uncomfortable working in the home she shares with Jack. Asher showed up with files related to the transfer of the company. Caleb urged him to stop working with JR. Erica, upset with the condition of the files, went to the Chandler mansion to see JR and delivered a message for him to Colby. Colby thought she could learn a lot from Erica and asked her for some advice.
At Fusion, Kendall and Greenlee discussed a new product for pregnant women. Greenlee divulged that Madison's baby was fathered by Ryan. When Mad got to work and Kendall told her about the natural pregnancy product, Mad was offended, noting that it was her idea. A Mad/Greens bicker session broke out. Mad challenged Greenlee to be honest with Kendall. Greenlee admitted that she had known for months that Mad was preggers by Ryan. Under pressure from Mad, Greens named her the product director for the new line. Kendall and Mad both vowed not to tell Ryan that Greenlee had already known the truth. Kendall and Greens went back to her place and saw Ryan, who was still a wreck over Emma and Madison.
Mad went home and was surprised to see JR. Scott rushed JR out. Mad updated Scott on what had happened at Fusion. He told her about JR's offer to move back in.
Liza watched Colby's blog again. She tried to get through to Colby but got her voicemail. Asher went back to the mansion and encouraged Colby to post another video blog. She decided to do just that.
Erica told Caleb that she had a way of putting an end to his problems with Asher, via Colby.
Kendall and Griffin ran into each other in the park and he promised to stop worrying about her health. After she left, he looked at Zach's letter and sighed that it wasn't her health she was worried about.
Wednesday
Colby and JR talked about the mansion about his desire to rebuild the family.
David urged Liza to fight for her job. He asked for her help in regaining his medical license. Liza turned him down.
Cara asked Tad to take her out. They went to ConFusion. Amanda approached and informed Cara that Jake was speaking to the hospital board on her behalf. She left and Liza joined Tad at the bar. She accused Tad of being ashamed to be seen with her. A drunken Liza rant ensued and she became upset when she realized that an arriving Colby had seen it. Colby ran out and JR chastised Liza.
Joe and Jake talked about Cara at the hospital. Cara arrived and Joe spoke kindly to her. Joe and Jake later gave Cara the good news that she'd been hired on a full-time basis. Joe made Cara promise not to hurt his sons. Later, Cara told Jake that she wouldn't compromise how she practices medicine for anyone, though she would apologize to the parents of the little girl with cancer. Joe went to ConFusion and told Tad he was proud of him for marrying Cara. Joe suspected that things wouldn't end well between Jake and Tad, though. Cara arrived and told Tad the good news about her new job.
Marissa, Bianca and Kendall bonded in the park before JR and Marissa had an unpleasant encounter at ConFusion. "Am I a bad mother?" she asked afterwards of Bianca and Kendall, telling them that she felt guilty for not moving back into the mansion for AJ. Amanda opened up to JR about her marital troubles. Bianca warned JR not to hurt Marissa. Amanda suggested to JR that he hire her to replace Annie. Jake went home and Amanda told him that she'd gotten a job with JR.
Bianca and Marissa met back up at Krystal's. Kendall went home and stared at her wedding photo. She told her hubby that she'd had fun that night.
Colby posted video of Liza's rant online. David helped Liza get home and kissed her.
Thursday
Kendall enjoyed playing hooky in the middle of the afternoon and hung out with Ricky. She declared that she wasn't going to obsess over Zach and was going to focus on her boys instead. After, Diane called Ricky, but hung up when Kendall answered his cell phone.
Tad, Griffin and Cara feared that Kendall was in danger. Griffin wanted to go after Zach's shady casino partners, but Tad didn't think it was a good idea. Neither did Cara, who thought they should get the police involved.... Krystal stopped by and argued with Tad over their children. Cara was uncomfortable. Opal noted that Tad and Krystal always work things out for their girls' sake. Tad vowed to his mother that he wasn't going to lose his daughters and wanted to be in their lives. Opal stated that one day his girls would understand what he did for Cara and would be proud of him.... Cara went to Krystal's and urged Krystal not to separate Tad from his children. Krystal feared that the living situation would be dangerous for the girls and Cara. Cara reminded her that they're family. Krystal wasn't convinced, but Cara promised to do everything she could to help her and the girls. Cara added that she likes being part of a wonderful and loving family and that Immigration would believe her when she says that this is what she wants.
Griffin went to Kendall's and exchanged words with Ricky. Ricky gleefully filled him in on the great time he and Kendall had shared. Griffin didn't want to hear it. Kendall wished they'd get along. Before leaving, Ricky found the letter that Zach had written to Kendall about the casino partners. Later, Kendall thanked Griffin for helping her and the Miranda Center. "It's my job," he replied.... At the hospital, Cara urged Griffin to not look into the casinos, but he insisted on going through with it.... Kendall asked Ricky about the woman who'd called; he lied that she was just a parishioner who liked to flirt.
Annie and Emma returned to Pine Valley. When Annie went to ask a random stranger for help, the man turned around — and she thought it was Scott. Annie took the man's wallet and key card.... Ryan wanted to take care of Madison and the baby, but she insisted that she could handle herself and wanted to enjoy life with Scott. Brot then called Ryan and shared that a woman matching Annie's description was in town. Ryan and Greenlee went to meet up with him.... Annie and Emma hid out in a hotel room. When Annie stepped in the shower, Emma made a call.
Scott went to see Madison, who complained to him about Ryan being overbearing. She soon got a call from Emma, who was worried about Annie. Mad assured her that everything would be okay, but Emma couldn't tell her where she was. After, Madison called Ryan and told him about her conversation with the little girl. After Brot questioned the man whose wallet Annie had taken, Ryan and Greenlee found Annie's hotel room and broke down the door. Annie was shocked to see them. "Where is Emma?" he demanded. Annie replied that she was in the shower, but Ryan didn't believe it and threatened to call the cops. Annie blathered on about how he hates her; he answered that he doesn't hate her and just wants his daughter back. Ryan softened his tone and explained that he wanted to keep her safe.... Madison and Scott grew closer as he relayed how much he believed in her. They shared a passionate kiss.
Annie flipped out when she saw Greens standing the hallway. "You are all trying to trick me so you can lock me up," cried the unhinged woman. Ryan promised that he's on her side and volunteered to take Emma for a few days. Annie was still sure that he wanted to institutionalize her. Ryan tried to calm her and again asked where Emma was, but the little girl wasn't there. Emma was outside, hiding out with her doll.
Krystal returned home and informed Tad that she was staying — and that it was Cara who'd changed her mind.... Griffin wanted to stand by his promise to keep Kendall alive.
Friday
David told Griffin he'd been volunteering at a clinic in the hopes of getting his medical license and his job back. He advised Griffin never to let things get personal where work was concerned. He also warned him about the Martin clan. Griffin was certain David would get his license back and urged him to return so it would even out the playing field at the hospital.
During a conversation with Ricky, Kendall flashed back to her talk with Griffin, where he revealed he was stealing meds from the clinic to send to those in need. Ricky urged her to share anything she knew and vowed she could trust him. She suddenly left, saying she figured out something she could do. She arrived at the hospital and ran into Griffin and David. Griffin asked Kendall to speak to the board on David's behalf, since the doc had saved her life. "Many times," David added. David then grimaced, saying it was residual pain from his old gunshot wound. Kendall ignored David and asked to talk to Griffin alone. David left. Griffin told Kendall about the stolen drug story from Ricky. Griffin was offended that she thought he was responsible, then laughed that he was joking. Kendall called him an ass and explained that she was just giving him a warning. He thanked her, but asked if she really thought he would have something to do with the drugs. She declared that she trusted him. He headed out to change for a benefit.
Ricky fretted to Diana that Griffin was becoming a problem. She accused him of being jealous of Dr. Castillo. He told Diana about the faux drug story he told in an attempt to turn Kendall against Griffin. Her phone rang. When she hung up, Diana told Ricky that Griffin wanted to meet Zach's casino partners and she had a meeting with the doc.... Kendall arrived at Griffin's place and gave him a "wow" for his snazzy suit. She showed off her little black dress for him. "You like?" she asked. "It's nice," he replied. She announced she was going with him to the benefit.
Scott and Madison were making out when her stomach grumbled. He went to his kitchen, but the cupboard was bare, so he suggested going out for food.... Ryan and Greenlee were alarmed when an unbalanced Annie believed Emma was hiding behind the couch. Ryan called the cops to say they found Annie, but not Emma, and Annie had totally lost it. Emma, meanwhile, hid in the bushes outside and clutched her doll. Brot arrived to talk to Annie and asked about Emma's whereabouts. Annie realized she didn't know, then screamed that Greenlee probably took the girl because she's taken everything from her. Ryan called Madison and asked her to be on the alert for Emma's call. Scott brought Madison some food and they sat on a bench very close to where Emma had been hiding. Ryan arrived and spied Emma's doll in the snow. He called out for his daughter; she came running out of the bushes to him. He was overjoyed. "I'm worried about Mommy. Where is she? What's going to happen to her?" Emma cried. Ryan promised he would explain everything once they were home. Madison offered to drive.... Annie was cuffed; Brot read her her Miranda rights.
J.R. tried to sweet-talk Marissa into moving back in.... David arrived and asked J.R. for an endorsement to get his job back. Marissa entered, but before the conversation could go further, Scott ran in, briefed them about Annie and Emma and asked J.R. for the commitment papers to keep Annie out of jail. J.R. went with Scott to the hotel, where the men with the white coats arrived to take Annie to Oak Haven. J.R. comforted a panicky Annie. "Don't fight them," he urged. "They're trying to help you." She agreed to go, but was deluded that she was going to hers and J.R.'s secret wedding. He played along for her sake. "See you at the altar," she smiled. "See you," he replied, holding back tears. He broke down after she left.
Back at home, a doctor checked on Emma, who was doing okay and eating grilled cheese. Madison wondered why Emma called her while she was with Annie. Emma explained it was because her mom was mad at a lot of people, but not Madison. Greenlee came in to find Madison and Ryan reading a story to Emma. Emma clearly wanted Madison to continue, but Mad got up to leave. Ryan thanked her for her help. After, he told Emma that Annie was sick and had to go to the hospital. Emma wanted to visit, but Ryan said she couldn't. "I hate you, Daddy!" she yelled.
David and Marissa argued; he wondered if she could ever move past everything that had happened between them.... David later ran into Marissa with A.J. The boy was excited to see his grandfather, but Marissa hurried out with A.J. to soccer practice.
