AMC Week Of March 29, 2010
Monday
At Liza's, Ryan told Greenlee that David was going to jail. Greens was furious that he'd called the cops. David made a break for it; Ryan restrained him. Jesse arrived and handcuffed David. Liza asked David if she was still fired. David agreed to keep Liza as his counsel. At the police station, Greenlee expressed her suspicions of Liza's motives. Liza told Greens that she needs to take the stand to get David acquitted but that David won't consider it. Jesse threw David behind bars. Greens tongue-lashed Ryan while David consulted with Liza. Greens talked her way into a visit with David. She was crushed when he said that when his trial was over, so was their marriage. Ryan told Jesse that he may have just blown his chances with Greenlee forever. Jesse asked Liza if Tad knows that she's defending David. Liza told Jesse that this case would make her a household name. Greenlee speechified to David about how she had truly fallen in love with him, for Ryan's benefit (he was within earshot).
At the Martin house, Tad and Krystal bickered over Damon. Randi phoned and told Tad that there was an internship available at Fusion. Damon came downstairs with the girls; Krystal took them back upstairs. Tad told Damon about the opportunity at Fusion. Damon went for an interview and was bummed to learn that Randi is a Hubbard. Damon became frustrated when Randi began to explain a work task to him and begged off accepting the internship. He ran off. Tad got the word from Randi and vented his frustration to Krystal. Damon returned home and told Tad that the interview was a bust. Damon angrily told Tad that he didn't want any more favors. Krystal excused herself. Damon admitted to Tad that he couldn't do the math the job required. Damon confessed that he'd dropped out of high school and ran out.
Colby gloated and Annie panicked when Adam took possession of the divorce papers. Annie grabbed the papers and threw them into the fire. Colby revealed to Annie that she'd set her up. Annie warned Colby that it would be her word against Colby's. Adam thanked Brooke for helping to heal his family. Colby told JR about the divorce papers. JR said he would handle Annie. JR observed Adam and Brooke in a close moment and smiled to himself. Adam led the family in a “welcome home” toast for JR. JR requested a moment with Annie. Annie told JR that he knows JR still hates him. JR countered that he knows about the divorce papers.
Tuesday
Erica and Brooke bumped into each other at B.J.'s. There was a catty undertone to their catch-up conversation. Erica apologized for implying that something was going on between Adam and Brooke. Erica advised Brooke to get Adam to open his eyes about Annie. Jack entered and warmly greeted Brooke. "I'm praying for you," Brooke said to Jack as she left, picking up on the charge between Jack and Erica. Jack joined Erica at her table. Erica told Jack that she was not getting involved with him again because it was sure to collapse. Jack told Erica that they always end up back in each other's orbits, that they were inevitable. She was about to leave when he swept her into a passionate kiss that left her breathless.
Amanda and Jake smooched and discussed her foray into modeling. They agreed that no matter what, they would keep their family intact and headed home to have breakfast with Trevor.
Out for a jog, Ryan ran into Tad, who was in search of Damon. They discussed Greenlee's decision to stick by David despite his arrest and Ryan's resolve not to interfere in Greenlee's life anymore. Meanwhile, Damon was hiding out in the Chandler attic with Colby. He told her about Tad, Krystal and Angie's efforts to reform him. Colby urged him not to reject Tad's aid. She introduced Damon to her doll collection. They grew closer as they discussed their desire to really matter in life. Tad returned home and broke the news to Krystal that he had yet to find Damon. Back in the park, Madison approached Ryan. He agreed to join her for breakfast.
At the prison, Greenlee insisted to David that she does love him. Greenlee told David that she knows that he has feelings for her. He said that he didn't want to know how he really feels about her. He told her that he has decimated the life of every woman he has ever loved. Pressed by her, he admitted that he loves her so much that it terrifies him. He said that it had to end right now, "because if it doesn't, God help us both." She responded that she wasn't going anywhere. He begged her to leave. Finally, she agreed to go (temporarily).
Jesse and Angie celebrated David's arrest. Jesse told Angie that he wanted to take her away on a romantic trip. She said that she wanted to go back to the motel where they had first consummated their relationship. Angie got a call from Tad, updating him on Damon's disappearance. Jesse feared that Damon was going to violate his probation.
JR told Annie that he wasn't going to tell Adam about the divorce papers. He tried to convince her that he was sincere about wanting to turn over a new leaf in their relationship. When AJ entered, JR told the boy that Annie had saved his life. AJ hugged Annie. Marissa wasn't sure what to make of the scene. Once alone with JR, Marissa informed him that her dad is in jail. Annie went upstairs and snuggled with Adam. Marissa went upstairs and JR tried to discuss with a returning Brooke that he had seen her with Adam. "Leave it alone," Brooke snapped. In bed with Annie, Adam dreamed about Brooke.
Wednesday
Erica ran into Jack at ConFusion. She was given pause when Brooke arrived to have lunch with Jack. Brooke was sensitive to Jack's questions about her involvement with Adam and opened up about Adam's health. Opal came to Fusion to have lunch with Erica and grilled her about Jack. La Kane admitted that Jack had kissed her. Opal urged Erica to give Jack another try. Brooke went upstairs to see Erica after lunch (per Erica's request). Brooke agreed to do a story on Amanda. Erica bristled when Brooke broached the subject of Jack.
Tad, Angie and Krystal were still worried over Damon's whereabouts. Colby sneaked Damon out of the Chandler manse. He returned to the Martin house, where Tad read him the riot act. Angie and Krystal tried to mediate between the men. Krystal told Tad that she decided against opening a candy store and is putting the lot up for sale. Tad informed Krystal that he and Liza had called it quits. Krystal met with Jack, who was working on getting her out of her contract. Jack asked Krystal if she was interested in coming to work for him as a paralegal. Erica walked in to find Jack and Krystal getting along famously.
Jake and Amanda interviewed a potential new nanny for Trevor. Amanda broke down crying when the nanny took Trevor to the park. Jake soothed her. Amanda couldn't stop herself from calling the nanny within minutes of her departure; Jake did as well. The nanny questioned whether Jake and Amanda were ready for a child care provider.
Marissa told JR that she had to leave the house because she'd come down with a cold. JR and Annie got into another squabble but he tried to convince her that he wants a fresh start with her. Colby eavesdropped and later asked JR if he was willing to sleep with Annie to bring her down. Annie got a call from a congressman who wanted JR and Annie to testify in Washington about bone marrow donation. Brooke came home and railed at Annie for failing to have checked on Adam.
Angie examined Marissa and determined that she had H1N1. Marissa called JR and broke the news that she wasn't going to be able to stay at the mansion until she convalesced. Angie observed Damon finding a way to get through to a difficult young patient. Tad did some digging into Damon's past.
Thursday
Erica tried to be gracious when she walked in on Jack and his new employee, Krystal, enjoying each other's company at Jack's office. After Krystal left, Jack and Erica began to bicker and Jack told Erica that if he wasn't going to let him back into her life, she had no right to try to control his. Erica stormed out in a huff after telling Jack that she had come there in the first place to ask him out on a date. Jack followed Erica back to Fusion, interrupting Erica's conversation with Randi and Madison to berate her for playing games with him. Jack charged after her into her office. He told her to prove to him that she's not scared to go out with him by going out with him. "Fine," she said. They made a date for right then, at ConFusion.
At the casino, Tad introduced himself to the casino manager, Craig. Tad asked for an increase in his credit limit. As Ryan observed, Craig gave his consent. Tad updated Ryan on his efforts to figure out who was cheating the casino. Krystal joined Tad in his undercover efforts. Tad tipped Ryan off to the fact that Craig was the culprit. Craig was hauled away by security. Krystal left to go pick up meds for Marissa at the hospital. Ryan asked Tad if he was interested in taking Craig's job. Tad said no but eventually changed his mind. The men shook on it.
Greenlee offered Natalia $5,000 to model for Fusion and ordered Madison get the contracts drawn up.
Liza visited David in his cell, where she again urged David to let Greenlee testify at his trial but he remained adamantly opposed to the idea. He asked Liza how she planned to win his case. After she left, Greenlee showed up. David again tried to stop her from getting involved in his case. She was suspicious of his reasons for not wanting her at the trial. She demanded to know what was really going on. When he stonewalled her, she said that she would figure it out on her own. With a start, Greenlee figured out that he was trying to stop her from finding out something that was going to be revealed in court.
Krystal saw Liza at the hospital and confronted her about taking David's case. They then got into it over Liza and Tad's break-up (as Liza believed that Krystal had played a role). Back at the Martin house, Marissa complimented Krystal for what a lovely home she'd established.
Adam's arrival broke up Annie and Brooke's squabble. JR told his dad about the offer he and Annie had received to tesify about bone marrow donation before Congress. Adam and Brooke encouraged Annie to go. Annie and JR discussed her anxiety about Brooke's relationship with Adam. JR continued to work on winning Annie's trust. JR called Marissa to tell her about the Congressional hearing.... Brooke and Adam took a walk and she opened up to him about her feelings of emptiness (delayed empty nest syndrome, she called it). Their easy chemistry was apparent. Adam remembered that he had dreamed about being in bed with Brooke the night before.... The audience became privy to the fact that JR had arranged for the congressman to invite Annie to testify in the first place.
Friday
Adam told Brooke he had a dream about the two of them dancing. In reality, Adam's dream involved him waking up in bed with Brooke. Brooke, ready to
go back to work, agreed to stay a little longer to appease Adam. She told
him it was time he focused on his marriage to Annie and, since everything
had settled down, he should share his health issues with his family.
Adam refused to burden his family with his problems, saying he could just
count on her. Brooke informed him that the deal they had was only temporary.
He moved on, said Adam, but then she came back. Brooke claimed it was
for Tempo, reminding him that he was a married man. An upset Brooke left, urging Adam to stop dreaming about her.
A confident Erica walked into the restaurant for her date with Jack,
immediately choosing a table. Jack selected another table, ripped the menu
out of Erica's hands, and proceeded to order for her. After Erica called
Jack rude, Jack reminded her of the first time they made love and what she
confessed was her idea of the perfect date. He explained that he chose the table
so he could better focus on her, looked out for her by ordering for her, and
wanted to make her feel special because that is what she said she had always
wanted. Erica was clearly happy with Jack's reasoning.
Colby was overjoyed to find out she was approved to tutor Damon, but her
mother was not as happy. Liza told Colby she should stay away from Damon
because in the end he'll just hurt her. Colby questioned why her mother
could defend the “world's biggest jerk,” David, but she couldn't tutor
“someone who needs a break,” Damon. The two argued and Colby left. Colby
walked in on Damon talking with Tad and Angie, who were impressed with how
Damon calmed a patient down when no one else could. Damon told them it
wasn't it a big deal and wanted them to just leave him alone. Grabbing the car keys, Damon stormed out, with Colby on his tail. Angie tried to
comfort a distraught Tad. Colby
tried to calm Damon down as he drove erratically. Just as Damon finished
a text message, Colby screamed at Damon to watch the road:
headlights were heading directly for them.
While visiting David in jail, Greenlee told David, “I want the truth now.”
David told her that he wanted her to
leave town and not be a part of the trial because it would be too much for
her to handle in her condition. Instead, Greenlee
tracked Jack down, determined to find out how she could testify if David
didn't want her to. She told Jack she would keep digging until she knew the
whole story, just as Erica walked up. Greenlee bullied Erica into staying.
After a few rude comments directed at Erica, Greenlee left. Jack told Erica
to call Kendall because Greenlee needed to know the truth about her
accident. Erica disagreed and walked away. At Fusion, Greenlee asked Erica
what she was hiding about the accident.
Liza met with David in, and he pressed Liza not to use Greenlee. Liza
didn't care and pushed David to change his mind, but David insisted that
Greenlee not be pulled into the trial because she doesn't know everything
that happened. David confessed to Liza that he was worried that the truth
about Kendall driving her off the road would ruin all of Greenlee's progress.
