Monday

Annie awoke from a nightmare to find Aidan in her room at Oak Haven. Aidan broke the news that Annie had been confused; it was her birthday, not Emma's. She was freaked out; he consoled her. Annie told Aidan about her birthday party-related nightmare, replete with the little girl's scary scream. Aidan remained concerned about Annie's relationship with Tori; Annie continued to defend Tori. Aidan tried to resist Annie's efforts to drop the
topic of her dreams in favor of getting passionate. Annie drifted off to sleep in Aidan's arms and had another disturbing dream.

Jake snapped pics of Amanda for potential adoptive parents. JR helped Amanda fill out an application for the adoption agency.

David railed at Tad and JR for the judge's decision to keep Little Adam with his foster parents. Tad and JR returned home bickering and Tad explained to Jake, Amanda and Pete what the judge had decided about Little Adam's fate. Tad reassured JR that he'd done a fine job at the hearing.... Pete told Jake that he would marry Amanda to give her baby a name.... JR turned down Amanda's offer to testify on his behalf. Her apologies fell on deaf ears.... Tad offered solace to Amanda.

Erica went to the casino looking for Zach as Zach challenged Ryan to a game of Texas Hold 'Em. Zach suggested that the stakes be the "thing he loves most." Kendall snapped that she couldn't be bartered in a card game, but it turns out that Zach was referring to the casino, not her. Kendall filled in Erica as to what was happening. Zach took a break; Kendall grilled him about what he was doing and Erica similarly interrogated Ryan, who told La Kane to stay out of it. Erica beseeched Ryan to stop pursuing Kendall. Zach told Kendall that she was irrelevant to him. Kendall was hurt by Zach's snide remarks. Erica urged Ryan to end the war now. Zach returned to the game and Erica hissed to Kendall that she should be rooting for Zach, not Ryan. Kendall broke the news that Zach had presented her with divorce papers. Kendall tried to get Ryan to stop playing the card game but he refused to relent. Zach was surprised when Erica told him that not only was she rooting for him, but she wanted him to teach Ryan a lesson. When the game resumed, both men went all in and Zach added his wedding ring to the pot. Ryan congratulated Zach when he won the game but warned that he would be taking back Zach's winnings soon enough. Zach deliberately left his wedding ring behind, stinging Kendall.

David returned to Wildwind determined to find out Little A's whereabouts. David reeled when Krystal said that she agreed with the judge's belief that David shouldn't be anywhere near his grandson. He grabbed for her; she fell to the ground. An instantly remorseful David tried to help her but she told him to stay away from her and left the house. David gazed mournfully at a picture of Babe and Little A.

Angie and Jesse were heavy-hearted over Little Adam's desire to go home. They made the little boy feel better by assuring him that Little A is in JR's heart. JR showed up with Little A's stuffed animal and asked Jesse if he could give the toy to Little A's foster parents. Jesse comforted JR when he broke down in tears. Little A ran into the room and into JR's arms.

Jake found Amanda at the boathouse, where he tried to buoy her spirits. Amanda made Jake promise not to let her see her baby once its born, lest she become too attached. He vowed that she wasn't going through this alone. Amanda got a chuckle when Jake informed her of Pete's desire to marry her.

Tad met up with Opal at The Comeback. Tad was worried that David's custody bid was going to push JR over the edge. Krystal showed up and Tad immediately noticed the bruise on her face. "He hit you!" Tad observed. Krystal denied it, and tried to say that she'd had an accident, but Tad didn't buy it and ran off to Wildwind, where he threatened to hurt David if he ever laid a finger on Krystal again.

Tuesday

Tad physically attacked David for hitting Krystal, a charge David denied.
David spat that he hated himself for how scared and alone Krystal felt. Tad
expressed his relief that David hadn't gotten his hands on Little A and
refused to tell David how Krystal was doing before turning on his heel and
leaving.

At ConFusion, Opal tried to approach Krystal about the bruise on her face.
Krystal ignored David's calls but insisted that it was an accident and that
she had fallen. Tad rejoined them and Tad told Krystal that he'd threatened
to break David neck if he ever hurt her again. Tad was dismayed by Krystal's
defense of her husband. Opal told Tad that he's the only one who can save
Krystal.

Randi tried to help Frank face his feelings about going back to Iraq. He
left to take a walk to clear his head. At the hospital, Taylor vented to
Brot about the end of her military career. He maintained that she could
still serve, just not on the front line. She was not comforted. Randi called
and they raced to the apartment to try to help Randi deal with Frank's
emotional withdrawal. Taylor tried to explain her own complicated
relationship with the military. When Frank returned home, Brot and Taylor
made themselves scarce. Frank assured Randi that he felt like the luckiest
man in the world to be married to her; she wanted him to let her in. "You're
my reason for coming home, baby," said Frank.... Brot and Taylor agreed that
they were perfectly happy together, but needed to figure out what they were
going to do with the rest of their lives. Brot noted that he wanted to help
people somehow.... Frank told Randi that for his own peace of mind, he was
taking out a life insurance policy.... Brot and Taylor joined Tad at
ConFusion. He told Taylor about his Krystal woes; she told him that he's an
amazing guy.

Jesse and Angie were nervous about JR's discovery that Little Adam is
staying with them. JR was happy to see his son so well taken care of. Little
A told his daddy that he wanted to go home with him and JR tried to explain
why he couldn't yet. Jesse told Angie that he was going to bend the rules to
let JR see Little A on the sly; Angie was thrilled, as was JR when Jesse
passed along the news. Angie, JR and Little Adam hid when there was a knock
at the door. It was David, demanding info about his grandson's whereabouts.
He hinted that he would bribe Jesse for the information; Jesse threw him
out. David warned him that he wasn't going to give up easily. JR wanted
Jesse to bust David for attempted bribery. "It's not the right move,"
insisted Jesse. Angie suggested that JR give Little A a bubble bath. Once
alone with Jesse, Angie noted her fear of what David would do if he knew
that they had Little A and that they'd let JR see him.

Aidan went to see Annie but when she sent him off in search of Tori, he came
up empty-handed. Aidan insisted that Annie stop talking about Tori and tell
him about her dream instead. She copped to being scared of what she might
find if she revisited her childhood. "That's why I'm here," Aidan said. She
told him what she could recall about her dream and gasped when she realized
that her child dream self had blood on her hands. Aidan left to do some
investigating and urged Annie not to be scared. They traded "I love you's"
and a kiss before Aidan departed. Tori rematerialized and told Annie not to
be scared. "You don't need Aidan when you have me," she said. Annie was
panicked that whatever memory she had blocked out was the key to her current
incarceration (and to her psycho killing/attempted murder spree). Annie
admitted that she thinks she killed someone when she was a little girl. Tori
fled.

David returned to Wildwind; Krystal was waiting for him. They tentatively
approached each other and he sincerely apologized. "Am I a fool for coming
back here?" she wondered. He said no and vehemently stated that he'd never
meant to hit her. He begged her forgiveness. "Stand up," commanded Krystal.
She ordered him to prove the naysayers wrong, be the man that she married,
and never hurt her again. He easily agreed. "You are my entire world," he
told her. They kissed and she told him that she forgave him.

Wednesday

At Wildwind, David and Krystal lamented how the Chandlers might use their
fight from the night before against them to get Little A. David told his
wife that she's the only person in the world that he trusts.

At the Hubbards, Natalia and Angie watched while Jesse tried to explain the
custody quagmire to Little A. It was clear to the Hubbards how much Little A
missed his home. Nat told Angie and Jesse to go out to lunch, saying she
could handle a five-year-old. Nat took Little A onto the fire escape and did
her best to lift the boy's spirits.

At ConFusion, Amanda and Jake met with an adoption attorney. Amanda insisted
that she was certain about going through with the adoption. The attorney
sensed a problem with the baby's father and that they couldn't proceed
without his okay. Jake claimed to be the daddy. The lawyer urged them to
reconsider putting the baby up for adoption. Jake and Amanda cut their talk
short when David entered. When Angie and Jesse arrived, they decided to sit
far away from David. David stopped harassing Jamie and Amanda long enough to
go grill Angie about why she'd taken all of her personal days at once.
During their chat, David picked up on something and once they were alone,
Angie and Jesse fretted that perhaps they'd tipped him off. Indeed they had:
David went straight to the loft and was thrilled when Little A opened the
door.

JR and Tad discussed getting a picture of Krystal's bruise. Opal said that
was never going to happen. Opal insisted that Krystal had to snap out of
denial first or the move would backfire on JR. Krystal came to play with
Jenny, and Krystal tried to sidestep JR's questions about her bruises.
Krystal insisted that David was no Ray Gardner. Opal tried to get Krystal to
see the light by recounting her own history with Ray. Krystal stormed out
after warning Tad not to set her up again. Tad berated JR for how he'd
handled the situation. Jake and Amanda returned home and reported to Tad and
JR that David had been upset about Angie's days off. JR raced to the loft,
where he found Natalia panicking because Little A was gone. Krystal was
stunned when she returned home to find her grandson. David told her to pack;
she insisted that they weren't going to leave town with the child.... Amanda
told Jake that the baby would be lucky if he was its father.

Zach returned Myrtle's portrait to the casino. Erica arrived to congratulate
him on getting the casino back.

Kendall accused Ryan of regarding her as a trophy. He insisted that that
wasn't the case. Kendall challenged him to define their relationship. Their
conversation was interrupted by Zach's arrival. He announced that he was
moving home, that there was room enough for all of them (even Aidan, said
Zach snarkily). "What will it take to make you go away?" demanded Kendall.
Zach said nothing, but he had one condition. Addressing Ryan, he said, "No
more sleeping with my wife in my bed." Ryan tried to talk Zach out of moving
back in; he refused, so Ryan decided to go. The Slaters bickered and Kendall
threatened to move in with Ryan. He said that was fine, but that the boys
were staying with him, that she was responsible for shattering their family
but he was determined to put it back together.

Erica approached Ryan at ConFusion. Ryan told her that Zach was trying to
move back in. Kendall went to ConFusion and told Ryan that she can't move in
with him. Kendall, meanwhile, went to the Slater house and congratulated
Zach on moving back in. Zach made it clear that the marriage was over, that
the living arrangement was strictly for the boys. Zach panicked when he
realized that Ian wasn't breathing.

Thursday

When Krystal discovered that David had snatched Little A, she refused to go
on the run with their grandson. David divulged that the boy had been staying
with the Hubbards and proposed that they flee with Jenny, as well. Krystal
tried to talk sense into her hubby.

Angie berated herself for tipping David off to Little A's location. Back at
the loft, Natalia freaked out to JR about Little Adam's disappearance. JR
called Jesse, who rushed home with Angie. JR told Jesse to do whatever it
takes to get his son back. Jesse had to stop JR from bolting in pursuit of
David and Angie urged him to calm down, lest he jeopardize his custody bid.

Kendall broke the news to Ryan that she can't move in with him because of
the boys and her need to provide them with stability. Ryan wasn't happy with
the notion of Zach having unfettered access to Spike while he did not.

Erica called 911 when Zach observed that Ian wasn't breathing. The
paramedics raced Ian to the hospital. Kendall ignored Zach's call from the
hospital while she chatted with Ryan. At Ryan's urging, Kendall finally
picked up the phone when Erica called. At the hospital, Zach explained the
situation to Kendall, who had rushed there with Ryan. Joe said that Ian was
stable but breathing through a ventilator and that the boy was showing signs
of congestive heart failure. Joe broke the news that he had summoned David
because he was the best man for the job, but that David was ignoring his
pages. Kendall and Zach watched over Ian in the ICU and lamented that the
poor child was undergoing yet another health crisis. Zach recalled what it
had been like when Kendall was in a coma.

Erica went to Wildwind to beseech David to take Ian's case. David was
reluctant, sensitive to what had happened with the death of his baby
daughter, Leora.

Krystal returned Little Adam to the Hubbard loft and JR called her out on
trying to cover for David. Krystal pointed out that everyone in the room had
violated the law (JR by seeing his son; Jesse by letting him do so). She
suggested that everyone drop the matter. JR reluctantly agreed for Little
A's sake. Jesse called off the APB on Dr. Hayward.... JR got word that Adam
had gone missing from the hospital in Philadelphia.

Pete went to see Colby and warned her that JR and Tad seem poised to kill
David. They discussed why women end up with men who doesn't respect them.
Pete succeeded in lifting Colby's spirits. Colby was bummed that there was
nothing she could do to bring David down.

With difficulty, David went to the hospital and updated Zach and Kendall on
Ian's predicament. The bottom line? His condition was dire
‹ life-threatening, in fact. Ryan witnessed the strength of the connection
between Zach and Kendall Zach he comforted his distraught wife.

Friday

Aidan visited Annie at Oak Haven. She was extremely nervous, and said she was afraid to sleep because she would dream. Aidan tried to assure her she'd be okay. Annie asked him, "Why do you even bother with me?" He said, "I love you." Aidan calmed her down a bit and left. But Annie was still anxious, talking to herself…until Tori showed up. Annie and Tori spoke, and Tori asked if Annie remembered anything else. Meanwhile, Aidan went to his computer to try and find out what had happened to Annie. Annie closed her eyes and remembered Richie being in the basement when they were kids. She told him to go away, but Richie wouldn't, and tried to give her a baseball bat. Aidan found an article about a missing girl named Tori Atherton. He rushed back to Annie. Annie told Tori she thought she killed someone, and Tori asked her if Annie remembered who. Annie said no, and then Aidan arrived. For the first time, Annie saw both Aidan and Tori together. Aidan was very disturbed by it: Annie was clearly losing her mind.

Tad entered the Chandler mansion, where Colby and JR told him Adam, who was in a hospital under Stuart's name, had disappeared. They wanted Tad to help find him. Adam's attorney showed up, and said Chandler Enterprises would go under if JR didn't dump several money-losing subsidiaries. JR asked for 24 hours to find his dad, and then promised to straighten out the business. Tad and JR found a patient who'd talked to Adam in the hospital, but he wanted $500 because of "the economic downturn." They paid him, and the man said he'd met "Stuart" and they'd talked a few times. He said "Stuart's" personality changed: sometimes he acted like the king of the world, and other time he acted as if he were on dope. Then he showed them a picture Adam drew; Adam claimed it was his dead sister, Lottie. Tad and JR rushed home after Colby called and said someone had gotten onto the estate and taken Adam's car — which security guards found wrapped around a tree, but empty.

Erica showed up at Ryan's to ask him to stay away from Kendall and mind his own business. He said he'd do all he could to help Spike, but wanted to make sure Zach wasn't manipulating Kendall. Erica said Ryan was angry that Kendall decided to stay in the house with Zach. Yeah, Ryan said, yeah, he was. Erica said Spike being in the hospital and Zach being in Kendall's house are two different issues. Ryan said he loved Kendall. Erica said his "perfect" love with Kendall didn't even make it down the aisle before it self-destructed the first time around. Kendall and Zach really needed each other right now — this was not the time for Ryan to stake a claim, Erica stressed. Erica said she just wanted him to behave wisely, and that she wasn't the enemy. Ryan said he appreciated Erica's friendship, but wasn't letting Kendall go.

Kendall was at the hospital with Zach, worried about Spike's condition. David told them Spike's cold had improved enough to continue with the surgery. But he said there were risks Spike would be facing: if he had the operation, he could die. And if he didn't have the operation, he could die. David left them alone. Krystal tried to comfort an upset David, who pointed out he hadn't performed pediatric surgery in years, and last time the patient, his daughter, Leora, died on operating table. David said they'd have to get another doctor. Krystal convinced David that he could save Spike.

A bit later, Erica arrived at the hospital, and saw Kendall, who said, "I think Spike's going to make it." Erica left to check on Spike, but ran into Adam, who was acting strangely. When she asked what was going on, he grabbed Erica and kissed her, passionately.

Kendall and Zach told David they wanted him to do they surgery. He agreed, and began assembling a cardiac team. Kendall and Zach watched Spike being taken into surgery. Kendall, crying, saw that Ryan had come to the hospital.
