AMC Week of Nov. 2, 2009
Monday
Liza was upset with Bailey for having gone out instead of tending to Stuart and for contacting Damon. Liza tried to talk some sense into Bailey where Stuart's bad boy baby daddy was concerned.
At ConFusion, Damon ogled Amanda and David told him to watch his mouth. Jake and Amanda reminisced about their night of lovemaking. She reminded him that they couldn't have sex until after she birthed David's second baby; he resisted the notion. David interrupted their make-out session and Amanda privately admitted to Jake that she is worried about not being able to get pregnant right away. He tried to reassure her.... David showed up at Liza's after an upset Bailey stormed out. Liza called Bailey's cell phone but she didn't answer, choosing instead to smooch Damon at ConFusion.... David tried to get cozy with Liza and made it clear that he doesn't buy her claim to hate him.... Bailey asked Damon what he was doing in town. He sniffed that she isn't as fun as she used to be. Bailey reminded him that she'd had a baby and that changed everything.... Liza threw David out... Jake told Amanda how much he loves her.
Trapped in the elevator with Scott, Annie had a panic attack. She kissed him passionately. He pulled away. Scott admitted that he is attracted to Annie and hates himself for it. Annie had to shed her costume to be hoisted onto Scott's shoulders in an effort to break themselves out of the elevator.
In the darkened church, Kendall told Aidan that she was desperate for news about Zach's push on Adam. Kendall told Aidan about how she had shed her bad girl ways after meeting Zach. She asked Aidan how he had ever come to hook up with Annie. He explained that in the wake of being dumped by Greenlee, he'd been easy prey for Annie. Aidan comforted Kendall when she expressed how much she misses her husband.
In the Chandler manse, Adam recovered his lost memories of the night Stuart was killed and realized with horror that he had shot his own twin. He fell to his knees as Erica approached. Zach and Ryan observed as Erica asked Adam what he had remembered. Zach pushed Adam to admit that Annie was the killer. Adam picked up a gun and threatened to shoot. He pulled the security alarm and told the guards to call the cops. Adam raced off before Jesse arrived. Scott and Annie showed up and after hearing that Adam had remembered what happened on the night of the murder, they raced off to find him. Jesse arrested Zach for physically attacking him in his desperation to go after Adam. Jesse slipped a cell phone to Zach after locking him in a jail cell.... Ryan and Erica searched in vain for Adam at ConFusion. Erica had a brainstorm as to where Adam might be.... Adam went to Stuart's grave, gun in hand, and wept to his brother about the terrible mistake he'd made on the night of the killing. "I wanted to kill myself," Adam said.
Zach used the cell phone to inform Kendall that Adam had remembered. But when the message came over via the laptop, Aidan hid it from a sleeping Kendall.
Ryan and Erica approached the cemetery as Adam prepared to end his life. Annie arrived first and told Adam that he had something to live for — her.
Tuesday
JR was devastated by the passing of his friend from the cancer support group.... At ConFusion, Marissa opened up to Tad about JR's desire to have another child. Tad was in favor of the idea despite Marissa's misgivings. When JR came to the bar, JR told her that he no longer wanted a baby and he tried to drown his sorrows in alcohol, but his wife and Tad adamantly refused to let him throw away his sobriety. They trailed JR back to the clinic and Marissa learned of Trent's death. She reached out to her hubby, who let her console him.
At the cemetery, Scott and Annie begged Adam not to shoot himself for having shot Stuart. Adam was stunned to learn that they already knew he was the killer. Erica and Adam arrived and Annie grabbed the gun away from Adam. Scott whisked Adam away. Back at the mansion, Scott told Adam that he doesn't want him to suffer any more than he already has. Erica and Ryan went to the police station and as Jesse questioned Annie, Ryan began to suspect that Annie wasn't the shooter, after all. Erica said that she had also picked up on something suspicious in Adam's behavior. They consulted with Jesse, who was likewise confused.... Scott begged Adam not to turn himself in. When Annie returned home, she tried to explain how she had tried to protect him from the awful truth about how Stuart died. Adam was moved by her devotion... Jesse, Erica and Ryan continued to put the pieces together. "What if Adam killed Stuart?" wondered Ryan.
At the church, an up-to-no-good Aidan deleted Zach's latest message to Kendall. Zach cooled his jets in jail, anxiously awaiting word from Kendall. While Kendall wasn't looking, Aidan sent a message to Zach pretending to be Kendall.
Wednesday
Annie and Scott tried to talk Adam out of turning himself in for Stuart's shooting. A distraught Adam suffered another cardiac attack. Annie and Scott were convinced that David had drugged Adam and took Adam to the hospital.
At the police station, Erica, Jesse and Ryan discussed the very real possibility that Adam killed Stuart.
At the church, Aidan tried to convince Kendall that the message he had sent to her as Zach really was from her husband and worked to plant a seed of doubt in Kendall's mind about Zach's trustworthiness. Aidan went to take a walk and Kendall, unable to help herself, called Zach. Shortly into their call, Zach heard a gunshot and the line went dead. The shot was a result of Aidan shooting a snake, he claimed, then read Kendall the riot act for having phoned Zach.
At Wildwind, Amanda and Jake held their own against David, who was annoyed with how late Amanda had returned home. Liza was shocked that Amanda truly intended to go through with David's scheme to have another baby. Amanda assured David that she and Jake had not had sex that night. David had to leave to go tend to Adam. Liza tried to talk Amanda and Jake out of agreeing to David's deal. Liza got a call from Zach and left for the police station, where she encountered Ryan and Erica. Liza told them that Adam was in the hospital. After securing Zach's release, Zach went to the church and reunited with Kendall. Aidan was none too pleased to find Zach there. Zach gave Kendall her wedding ring and they kissed tenderly. Aidan warned them that they had visitors and that he and Kendall had to bolt. Kendall was crushed to have her time with Zach cut short.... Back at Wildwind, Amanda and Jake had a sensual (sex-free) evening.... After Aidan and Kendall fled the church, the Feds burst in.
At the hospital, Scott and Annie accused David of drugging Adam. He denied it. Angie took the pills to be tested. Jesse arrived to question Adam but Scott and Annie thwarted him. Annie and Scott worried that the cop was on to Adam. Erica and Ryan got to the hospital and Erica thought it best that she speak to Adam alone.... Angie beseeched David to admit that he had switched the pills. "Fine," said David, who took joy in telling Angie that Ryan and Zach had put him up to drugging Adam this time around and that Jesse would be implicated, too.... Jesse tried to get Scott to come clean with him... Adam woke up and told her to bring Jesse in so that he could reveal that he shot Stuart. Thinking fast, Annie claimed to be pregnant in order to stop Adam from confessing.... Angie berated Jesse for the position he had put her in, then told David that she would go public with the lab results unless he stepped down as Chief of Staff.... Ryan distracted Scott and Annie to give Erica time to slip into Adam's room. Erica begged Adam to come clean to the cops. "I can't confess," insisted Adam.
Thursday
At the Chandler mansion, Scott fretted to Annie that Adam might be on the verge of confessing. Annie assured him that he wouldn't because of the baby. Scott was floored that she had lied about being pregnant. Annie was confident that she could get pregnant in time to fool Adam.... Annie gave Lucretia a raise to serve as her maid of honor.
Adam maintained to Jesse that Kendall killed Stuart. The men then watched David's press conference announcing that he was resigning from his position as Chief of Staff. Jake told Amanda about the personnel change. David approached and said he intended to devote more time to Trevor and the new baby.
Jesse broke the news to Ryan that without a confession, there was no way to tie Adam to the crime. Jesse implied that he would turn the other cheek if Ryan tried to force a confession out of Adam. Ryan went into Adam's room and did his best to break Adam. Scott showed up and told Ryan to lay off. Ryan went home to see Emma, assuring his daughter that he doesn't hate Annie; he also told her that he knows who really shot Stuart. Meanwhile, Adam returned home to Annie and "the baby." Scott privately told Annie that Ryan and possibly others know that Adam shot Stuart. Adam went to Stuart's grave and explained that he was going to keep the shooting a secret for the sake of his family.
Angie told Jesse and Jake that she had made a deal with David to get him to step down. She remained upset with him for the position that Jesse had put her in.... Amanda and Jake discussed getting to a point where David no longer has power over them. She was called away to her fertility appointment, so Jake tended to Trevor.... An overwhelmed Angie took over David's files and reacted badly to a message from Jesse asking when she'd be home.... Amanda got the go-ahead to get pregnant but was warned that she wouldn't necessarily be able to conceive right away. David told Jake that he'd just had his own fertility checkup and the men continued to trade verbal threats over who would triumph in the quest for Amanda in the end. Post-appointment, Amanda cried to Jake that she wanted to come home to him; he promised to wait "as long as it takes.".... Angie went home and had a blow-up with Jesse over the subterfuge that led to her becoming chief of staff.
JR and Marissa spent the morning in bed. They tried to figure out what the fact that JR is now in remission meant to their future, and repledged their love to one another.
Friday
Drama swirled in Pine Valley as the wedding of Adam and Annie neared. Scott was worried that the wedding might kill Adam but Annie insisted it's what Adam wants. Scott chastised the bride-to-be for starting her marriage with a lie, since Adam believed she was pregnant. Annie insisted that after her wedding night, she would be.
JR arrived and was not happy. "I can't believe you're going through with this," JR scoffed to his dad, stating that Annie would be the end of the Chandlers. Adam corrected his son, informing him that Annie was with child. "You really think it's yours?" JR chuckled. He insisted the baby was Scott's and confessed that he saw Annie and Scott, "all over each other." Scott entered and admitted that they kissed but insisted that Annie loves Adam. JR
asked his father to dump Annie. Adam told his son that the only reason he was allowed to even attend was for Little A's sake. Adam went out to see his grandson, while JR accused Scott of betraying the family by supporting Annie.
At a roadside hotel, Kendall wondered to Aidan if she should return home to Zach. Aidan said that Zach could handle himself and they needed to rest. Aidan scoured the papers and saw no news of Zach's arrest. "Thank God," exclaimed Kendall. Later, as Kendall soaked in a bubble bath, Aidan stared at her from the doorway. Later, Kendall emerged, saying she was a new woman and thanked him for picking up a new dress for her. Kendall complained about the bed, then insisted that Aidan share it and not sleep on the floor. "Nothing's going to happen," she insisted. Aidan climbed into bed.
As Annie got ready, Ryan walked in and said, "You always did make a beautiful bride." Ryan said he knows Adam killed Stuart, and chastised her for the way she had Emma lie for her. Then, they fought about their past and Ryan mentioned that Annie's lies destroy lives. Ryan added that he thought it was a great idea for them to wed in the same place where Adam killed his brother.
Adam was happy to see Erica when she arrived. She stated that Ryan was on a business call. Erica vowed that they weren't there to spoil the nups. Adam was even happier to see Colby in attendance with Liza.... JR told Marissa about the pregnancy. Marissa advised JR not to give up on his dad.... Adam pulled best man Scott aside and warned him never to touch his bride again.... Liza warned Adam to keep Annie away from Colby or else she'd hunt him down herself. Erica asked Liza where Zach was. Liza claimed she didn't know. Erica accused her of lying.
As the ceremony began, the bride and groom were all smiles — but no one else was. Annie walked down the aisle; Adam heard a gunshot and saw Stuart fall. Adam quickly shook himself out of it. When the chaplain got to the, "Speak now or forever hold your peace," part, Ryan stood up. "I don't want to stop the wedding," Ryan claimed. "I just want to apologize." He then gave the couple his blessing — and said he wished Stuart was there.
The blonde running the hotel saw Kendall's picture in the newspaper and recognized her. Later, a barefoot Aidan wandered down the stairs. The blonde pulled Aidan into a kiss and whispered, "I've missed you."
When Annie saw Zach and Jesse enter, she asked the chaplain to skip to the vows. Annie then recited her touching vows to Adam. When it came time to say his, Adam had a vision of Stuart, who said, "Clear your conscience. Admit that you killed me." When Adam didn't come clean, Stuart called him a coward, said he was going to hell and raised a gun and shot Adam. A panic-stricken Adam collapsed at the altar. Adam was checked and reportedly had no pulse. "Oh my God!" Annie uttered. "He's dead."
