AMC Week of November 10, 2008
Monday
When Tad insisted the man who had hired him to investigate Taylor was Brot, Frankie was shocked, since he believed Brot was dead. He went to the hospital to check it out. He spotted Brot, who told Frankie he wasn't supposed to be there. Frankie wanted to know why Brot let them believe he was dead. Brot insisted that considering his injuries, he was better off dead. Frankie told him about how Taylor had been suffering, but Brot said she would get over it. Frankie told him he didn't know who he was anymore, and left.
Krystal dreamed she was in bed with David and woke with a start. She suddenly had chest pains. She went to the hospital, where Angie checked her out. Krystal told her it started after she woke up from a nightmare. When Angie asked what the nightmare was about, the chest pains started again.
David and Amanda lay together, naked. Amanda berated herself for sleeping with him as she got dressed. She admitted to David that her opinion of JR had changed when Babe got back together with him, but after hearing JR talk about her, she realized she'd been wrong. David helped show her that. David realized that she had slept with him as a thank you. Amanda excused herself and promised that she would control herself next time. David told her he didn't want her to, that she was beautiful, and he wanted to relive that night over and over. She rushed out. Just then, David's beeper went off.
Ryan told Aidan and Greenlee what Annie had told him before they got disconnected. All he knew was that she was in a house by the beach.
Meanwhile, Annie relaxed in a bath. She called Di and asked how Emma was doing. Di said she was perfect. Di told her they would meet her at the Palm Hotel in Pine Key. Annie thanked her for everything and hung up. She called Ryan back, and told him she was near a lighthouse, before claiming someone was there and quickly hanging up. Aidan, Ryan and Greenlee looked at the map, and located the most likely lighthouse. Aidan worried that there was something fishy going on. The PI wanted to go by himself, and knocked Ryan out. Aidan told Greenlee that he was concerned Ryan could get himself killed. He told Greens not to untie him until he called and let her know it was safe. Ryan came to after Aidan was gone, and promptly begged Greenlee to untie him. Eventually, she agreed. Meanwhile, Aidan arrived at the house and watched Annie through a window.
Rebecca told Jesse she hadn't wanted to disrupt his new life. He reminded her that she saved him. She reminded him that she was the one who let him go, and now he had to let her go. Angie stopped in the doorway as they talked. Jesse said he wasn't going anywhere. They talked about Natalia and reminisced.
David walked into Krystal's room. He reviewed her chart and examined her. After, he told her it was an anxiety attack. He told her she needed to relax. He suggested she stop on the way home and get something to eat. Angie came in as David left, and said she would join her to go eat. At the restaurant, Angie and Krystal talked about their problems. Amanda walked in and sat down at the bar, and ordered the bartender to keep the drinks coming. Jesse arrived in time to overhear Angie's venting.
Jake asked if Taylor was okay after he kissed her, and she said she was more than okay. He made her forget the condition she was in, but it brought back memories of Brot. Tad knocked on her door, and Jake went into the hall to talk to him. The physical therapist walked by and Jake told him Taylor was ready to work with him. Jake asked about the guy who had been asking about Taylor, and seeing Jake's obvious feelings for Taylor, Tad said he didn't know what happened with that. Later, Jake went back to Taylor's room and started working on her therapy. They were both excited when they discovered she has recovered some feeling in her legs. Tad checked with David about Krystal, and David filled him in on her anxiety attack, all the while making obnoxious comments. David told him that Krystal had gone home, and pointed out that the women in Tad's life always ended up coming to him. Tad punched him.
Tuesday
Jake and Taylor rushed to get Taylor checked out. He explained that Taylor was slowly going to get feeling in her legs back. Taylor thanked him for all he had done for her and for believing in her. After Jake pushed Taylor's buttons, she started ranting and didn't even notice her leg moving! Excited, Taylor wanted to push herself even further but Jake was just glad to have her "back amongst the living."
Angie told Krystal she was tired of being so understanding. "St. Angela." She said that if she had her way Jesse would know how she really felt — and he did, as he stood behind her. Jesse insisted to his wife that they needed to talk, so they left the restaurant. Back at home, Angie asked Jesse if he was getting tired of taking care of everybody. Jesse told her that she had every right to be angry. "Angry? I'm furious!" she cried. "I'm not going anywhere, baby," Jesse said. "Don't you get it? I've already lost you," Angie exclaimed, noting that he had given a part of himself to Rebecca and Natalia. Jesse told Angie that he didn't love Rebecca, but Angie didn't want to hear it and accused Jesse of only coming back because Rebecca pushed him away. Jesse professed his undying love to Angie.
Tad warned David to stay away from his family. JR walked in with Little Adam, who wasn't feeling well, but JR refused to let David check him. David compromised with JR over naming the new ward the "Babe Hayward" wing and said it could be the "Babe Chandler" wing. After Dr. Hudson told JR that she wanted to keep Little A for the night, Tad was worried that David would use his authority to see the little boy. Later, Tad and Krystal argued about David. Krystal assured him she wasn't losing her soul to her ex.
Amanda drowned her sorrows. She told the bartender she was sick of running after all the wrong men and said she was going to take the next man she ran into, which happened to be a drunken Frankie. The bartender told Amanda if she didn't want to be used, she should do something about it. After Amanda passed out, the bartender called David to pick her up since he was the last call on her phone. "Sleep well, Amanda. You're going to need you rest for what I have planned for you," David said in a mustache-twirling tone.
Randi arrived after Amanda called her and berated Frankie for drinking.
Frankie didn't want to talk about his problems, but Randi insisted that she wanted to help him. Frankie told Randi that he felt dead inside after watching so many men die. She assured Frankie that he was a good, heroic man and that she loved him. As the bartender announced last call, Frankie and Randi shared a dance.
Ryan and Greenlee argued over the next move. Ryan began to question the entire ordeal and wondered why Aidan was bothering to help them. Greenlee trusted Aidan, but Ryan was beginning to get suspicious. As they were about to leave, two cops arrived and gave them trouble. Greenlee distracted them and they ran out. Annie and Aidan celebrated their success and recalled their plan. Annie gabbed on about hating Greenlee when Aidan ripped her blouse and told her to hit him! When Annie didn't want to, he slapped her, prompting her to clock him with a stick. The two had good timing, as Ryan and Greenlee stormed in. Annie cried that Aidan ruined their chances of saving Emma. Ryan was skeptical and wondered why the "kidnapper" didn't kill them. Annie began to lead Ryan on a wild goose chase as Aidan feigned concern. Things took a shocking turn when Annie and Ryan's plane began to go down!
Wednesday
Everyone read a special edition of the newspaper about the tornadoes. Colby and Pete brought a woman they found in the rubble into the hospital — Aggie (a.k.a. Agnes Nixon), carrying the All My Children book. Joe checked her out. He didn't think anything was wrong with her. When they turned around, she was gone. David checked out Opal and told her she was ready to go home. In another room, Jesse and Natalia sat with Rebecca. Jesse found Frankie in the hall, and asked him why he was taking his anger out on them. Frankie went off on him. Angie interrupted and told him that Rebecca was awake and asking for him. Angie tried to convince him that Rebecca saved Jesse's life.
Adam brought Erica's things to his house, insisting she stay there because the Yacht Club was not structurally sound. Erica put up a fight, but eventually agreed to stay for the night while she found other accommodations. Jack came by and told Adam he was on to him. Erica asked for a few minutes with Jack, and assured him that she would only be staying with Adam for one night. She told him that she wanted to be there for him, and thanked him for everything he did for her while she was in prison. He told her to be careful with Adam. Erica told Jack he should be with his loved ones during the moment of silence, and told Adam the same.
Zach came home and told Bianca and Reese that there was no change on Kendall's condition. They left him alone and he looked at a picture of him and Kendall. Reese brought Spike and Ian out, and Zach invited her to sit with them while they read a book. After, Bianca joined them, and they talked about the destruction at Cambias. Reese offered to share her ideas for the rebuild. After Zach left, Reese asked Bianca if she would want to stay Pine Valley, and Bianca said she would want to stay there for good. Reese assured her she was fine with that. Meanwhile, Zach checked out his wrecked office, and thought back to finding Kendall in the rubble. A fireman came in and told Zach he shouldn't be there. Zach grabbed a sledgehammer and started destroying what was left of the office.
David told Amanda it was time to get up. She wanted to know how she got there, and he told her the bartender had called when she passed out. He asked her what she wanted, and she said she wanted her $5 million back. He thought she could get it from the Chandlers again. Amanda said she wouldn't go after JR because she loved Babe too much — not to mention she had nothing to blackmail him with. David said he would personally pay her $5 million if she could bring JR down. He would start by giving her $500,000, and every time she pushed JR, she would get another check. When he went down for good, she would get the remaining amount.
JR went over to Krystal and Tad's. They gave him the suitcase the hotel in San Diego had sent out. Then JR went to the cemetery to be with Babe during the moment of silence. Colby and Pete ran in and told Tad about the woman she found at the hospital. Suddenly she showed up in the doorway, saying it was her home. Aggie said she had to visit her friends Myrtle and Palmer. The family went into the hall to talk, and suddenly, Aggie was gone.
JR talked to Babe's grave. Amanda walked up behind him. She apologized for even talking to David, and asked how he was dealing with the loneliness. She asked him if she could stay for the moment of silence. David watched as they held hands.
Angie went into Rebecca's room and told Jesse than Frankie wanted to talk to him. Out in the hall, Frankie told Jesse he was sorry for what he'd said earlier, and said he forgave him.
Opal did some research and found that Pine Valley was founded by a woman named Aggie. She also wrote a book, called All My Children. Opal insisted she must be a ghost, who came to show the town that they could recover from this. Adam showed up at the door, and they invited him to stay for the moment of silence. Erica and Jackson went over to Zach's for the moment of silence. Prayers were thought around Pine Valley as the tornado siren sounded. Aggie looked in on the Slater household and turned to the viewers, saying, "You are all my children."
Thursday
Erica greeted Colby in the morning, who was shocked to learn Erica was staying there. She rushed out, clearly disturbed by the idea. After breakfast, Erica told Adam she was going to pack her things, since she had only agreed to stay for one night. Erica told Adam that she didn't love him, she never did and she never would. He asked if they could have dinner that night. Erica agreed.
Reese went over her plans for Cambias with Zach. She offered to oversee construction. Zach headed to work and Reese greeted a groggy Bianca when she stumbled downstairs. Reese left for Cambias after Bianca settled onto the couch. Just as she closed her eyes crying came from the baby monitor, and then Rachel called to say she wouldn't be coming over.
Jake checked on Taylor. The physical therapist joined them and started working with Taylor. Jake worried she might be pushing herself too hard too fast. Someone called the nurses' station looking for Taylor's room. When the nurse said the room number, he hung up, standing outside of the hospital.
Greenlee worried to Aidan about not hearing from Ryan in two days.
Elsewhere, Ryan and Annie tried to find out how long it would take to fix the plane. Ryan called Greenlee. When he got on the phone with Aidan he told him he thought Annie was behind the kidnapping. Aidan played Devil's advocate. After they got off the phone, Aidan told Greenlee what Ryan thought. Meanwhile, Annie came back in and told Ryan how scared she was. Ryan hugged her and promised they would find Emma. He told her he was thinking about them, and then kissed her.
Frankie told Tad about seeing Brot at the VA hospital. They talked about whether or not to tell Taylor. Frankie didn't know how he could continue to be her friend and keep this kind of secret from her. They were interrupted by Taylor walking down the hall being supported by Jake and the therapist. Frankie relieved the therapist. Brot watched as they laughed and had fun. Later, when Taylor and Frankie were alone in her room, she asked what was bothering him. He said it was ghosts. Taylor said she was finally realizing that she had a right to a life, even if Brot lost his. He said he was proud of her, and Brot would be too. When Jake came back in, Taylor told them she was going to be running in a marathon in the spring. Meanwhile, Brot collapsed in the basement.
Colby ran into Pete at the hospital, and complained to him about Erica moving in. She thought Erica and her dad were more than friends. She told Pete that they next time she hooked up with someone, it would be for the right reason. Pete got sad, and Colby rushed off.
Erica went over to Zach's and found an overwhelmed Bianca. La Kane asked where Reese was, and Bianca explained she was helping Zach. Erica called in some backup, in the shape of two nannies. She asked Bianca if she was happy with Reese. Bianca assured her that she was. Meanwhile, Reese brought in a contractor and Zach told him Reese was in charge. Reese promised not to let him down. He went into his office and she heard him leave a message for Kendall. Later, Reese told him about her parents. Bianca arrived in the doorway as Reese told him that her parents didn't accept that she is a lesbian. They stopped talking to her when she came out.
Aidan told Greenlee they couldn't get a flight till that night. They started arguing over who was wrong, Ryan or Annie. When he was alone, Aidan called Annie to warn her that Ryan was on to her, but Annie's phone was still in the house. Greenlee picked it up — and heard Aidan's voice. She asked why he was calling Annie, and he claimed he was just trying to test her, to see if he could get her to slip up. She told him he was going to have to let Ryan deal with it. Annie wanted to look in the phone's call list for evidence that Annie was behind the kidnapping, but Aidan grabbed the phone out of her hand. He claimed he was worried she would erase something.
Pete went by the mansion. Adam told Pete that Erica was smitten with him. He explained that the more women protested the more they cared. Women needed to be romanced, he claimed. Erica arrived back at the mansion to find Adam had bought her a necklace. He asked her to stay with him, to be with him, and they kissed. He tried to get her to go upstairs with him, but she demurred.
Pete showed up at the hospital in a suit with red roses. Over the loudspeaker, he told Colby he loved her. Meanwhile, Colby was in the basement discovering Brot.
Friday
Bianca knocked, came into Zach's office and made a comment about secrets.
She made it clear she wanted to talk to Reese alone. After Zach left, she told Reese that she'd overheard what Reese said about her parents. She couldn't believe Reese didn't tell her. In fact, Reese had lied to her about it. She asked Bianca to accept that she was okay with it. She didn't want Bianca to feel guilty. Reese admitted that Bianca was the reason she came out. She recalled how it happened. Bianca embraced her, and Reese apologized for leaving her with the kids. They exchanged "I love you"s and went home.
David came to Fusion with bottles of champagne. He told Amanda the plan was to get JR off the wagon, and they would start by her getting drunk and calling him for help. Amanda drank away and when JR got there, she said she needed his help. She told him she thought she was an alcoholic. She asked him not to leave her alone. They talked about how much they missed Babe. She fell and when he caught her, she suddenly kissed him. JR backed away, angrily accusing her of calling him there just to hit on him. JR took her keys and the remaining champagne and left. David was furious. Amanda apologized and told him she'd just wanted to kiss JR. David said she should have done it like "this" and passionately kissed her. In the elevator, JR almost drank from the bottle of champagne he took with him.
Annie assured Ryan they were going to get Emma back. Ryan vowed that whoever was behind this would pay. Just then the pilot came in and told them the plane was fixed. When they arrived on the island, they went to the hotel room Annie claimed the kidnapper had requested. Ryan and Annie burst into the hotel room, but Emma wasn't there. Annie convinced Ryan to lie down, and when she thought he fell asleep, she snuck out. But he wasn't asleep. Greenlee and Aidan arrived, and they decided to follow Annie. Meanwhile, Annie had gone to another room, where she found Di, and clearly expected Emma. But Emma wasn't there. Di said she knew what Annie was doing — she saw on the Internet that Emma had been kidnapped. She knew Annie was going to blame the kidnapping on her, and pulled out a gun. Aidan told Ryan and Greenlee he'd gotten the room number of an American woman who'd recently checked in. As they approached the room, they heard a gun go off.
Colby insisted Brot needed help. He told her to get out and leave him alone.
Taylor got Jake to sign up for the marathon, and then they heard Pete's declaration of love. Jake told Taylor he wanted to show her a new kind of therapy, and wheeled her down the hall. Colby rushed around the hospital and ran into Jake and Taylor. Then she ran into Pete, who mentioned that she hadn't said anything about his declaration of love. She told him they were in a hospital and he needed to grow up.
Bianca and Reese got passionate at home. Zach came home and looked at Kendall's picture. Later, Zach found Reese crying alone. She told him she missed her dad.
Colby went back to the basement with a flashlight, and saw Brot's face. She dropped the flashlight in shock. Brot said that was exactly what "she" would do if she saw him. Later, she went back down and asked Brot to let her help him. Back upstairs, Jake had set up a romantic dinner for Taylor. He asked her to dance. As they danced, she thought about a dance with Brot.
