Tad told the mysterious vet who had hired him that he would no longer work
for him. The man said his name was Mike Sweeney and that he'd been in Iraq
with Taylor. Tad remained suspicious of the man, who claimed he couldn't
help Taylor because of his own condition (he was severely burned). The man
phoned Taylor but lost his nerve when she answered.

Taylor told Jake he was stupid when he revealed that he had broken up with
Amanda because of her. She accused him of trying to motivate her to walk by
convincing her that he had feelings for her. Jake insisted that he was
sincere and she took umbrage when he suggested that she had a death wish.
Crying, she said that she wasn't alive, that she was useless. Jake told
Taylor that the person he had loved most had left him in the Sudan. "I know
what it feels like to be alone and to be angry. Helpless," he told her. She
told him she was sorry that he'd gotten so hurt. She told Jake about her
perfect last night with Brot and got Jake to open up more about his cheating
wife. The two were laughing when she got the call from the V.A. Hospital,
but the caller hung up. Jake told Taylor that his breakup with Amanda truly
did have a lot to do with her. He kissed her passionately.

At the cemetery, Krystal slapped JR when he got out of line on the subject
of Babe and David. He apologized but expressed concern. She swore she could
handle herself and told JR that she had stopped David from committing
suicide. Krystal left a picture of Babe and Little Adam at Babe's graveside.
Later, Krystal had a nightmare about David being in her bed.

At Wildwind, David pulled back from his make-out session with Amanda, noting
that she was tipsy and he didn't want to take advantage. Amanda told David
that she'd been involved with JR during his time away from Pine Valley. He
was fascinated to hear about how she got five million bucks from the
Chandlers. He sweet-talked her with much effectiveness. After Amanda went
upstairs, JR came by to rant and rave at David. David spied that Amanda had
come down the stairs so egged JR on to trash-talk Amanda. As David had
hoped, Amanda heard JR's harsh words against her, blaming her for the Fusion
mess and Babe's death. JR left and David told Amanda that she was sorry that
she'd had to hear JR's cold words. Amanda spat that JR should have died
instead of Babe. Amanda took David in her arms when he lamented how much he
missed Babe. They started kissing again....

In Puerto Rico, Ryan frantically dug a fresh gravesite that he feared could
contain Emma. Aidan joined in the effort. Ryan became nearly hysterical when
he found Emma's raincoat; Greenlee tried to comfort him. He also found
Annie's purse, which contained a clue that led them to a local bar, where
Ryan asked the bartender if he'd seen the missing American ladies. Greens
fought off the advances of a local while Ryan began punching uncooperative
patrons. Aidan pulled back from Greenlee when she tried to tend to his
injured arm, noting that his wife was in love with Ryan. Ryan asked Aidan
why he was there if he hated Ryan and Greenlee so much. He said he was there
for Emma, who didn't know what a jerk her father was. Annie called Ryan but
didn't stay on the phone for long, keeping him in the dark about Emma — but
when her side of the call was revealed, she was far from being tormented by
a kidnapper. With a smug grin, she was luxuriating in a bubble bath.

At the hospital, Natalia lashed out at Jesse, then tried to convince Rebecca
not to take her diagnosis lying down. Angie and Jesse watched as Rebecca
said it was her time and Nat broke down crying in her arms. Randi and Frank
were also present.... Nat rushed off and Rebecca thanked Jesse for having
reached out to Rebecca. Rebecca hoped that she could convince Natalie to
open her hearts to Angie and Jesse before she died. Frank and Randi caught
up to Natalia and Randi convinced the girl to come with them to B.J.'s.
Things got heated between Frank and Nat, who accused Frank of being happy
that Rebecca was dying. Frank got called back to the hospital, so Randi ....
Jesse swore to Rebecca that he would be there for Natalia. He apologized to
Angie and Rebecca for his poor judgement. Angie tended to Rebecca when she
had a seizure. In the hallway, Jesse encountered Frank, who continued to
give him the cold shoulder..... Frank also met up with Tad and told Tad that
the man he met could not possibly be Mike Sweeney; he had pronounced Mike
dead himself. He showed Tad a picture of Mike, confirming that they were not
the same men. Frank showed Tad a picture of the fella in his unit who had
died the same way the man Tad met had sustained his burns. "That's the same
guy!" said Tad. Frank was confused... Because the guy in the picture was
Taylor's fiance, Brot.... Rebecca asked Jesse to hold her, making Angie
uncomfortable.
