Monday

Willis and Jesse came by the Slater house to tie up some loose Kendall-related ends. Zach, who was stuffing Kendall's belongings into a trash bag, informed them that Kendall was cheating with Aidan and wasn't coming back. Jesse was stupefied and tried to reason with Zach. Jesse left to allow Zach some quality time with Ian. Zach read a story to his son and eyed the trash bags filled with Kendall's stuff. Kat showed up to see Zach and tried to give him something that Kendall had left behind at the boardinghouse; he slammed the door in her face. Later, he found the item, which Kat had left on his doorstep: It was an envelope containing Kendall's wedding ring.

At Liza's, Bailey helped a stressed-out Liza with caring for Stuart. Bailey got a text from Damon telling her to let him know when Liza left. Liza left and Damon showed up.

Tad and Krystal were stuffed from Thanksgiving. They shared a more than friendly kiss. He then filled her in on his Zach-sponsored trip to find Aidan and Kendall. He pondered a career change. She showed him her plans for a soda/coffee shop.

Jake assured Amanda that he would always love her and begged her to come clean with him about what was troubling her. "I had sex with David," she confessed. He was floored. She struggled to explain how it had happened as he erupted in fury. Jake told Amanda that he couldn't raise David's baby and he walked out. Jake blew into the Martin house in a huff and revealed to Tad and Krystal that Amanda had slept with David. Krystal hated to say, "I told you so," but couldn't help herself. Krystal advised Jake not to give up on Amanda and excused herself to check on Jenny. Tad echoed Krystal's sentiments.

The DNA results were in and David found out that he is not Trevor's biological father. He returned to Wildwind and was brusque to Liza when she stopped by to get info on Nurse Gayle, who administered the drugs to Adam that led to him shooting Stuart. He was distracted by thoughts of Trevor and angrily cautioned Liza against letting Bailey spend time with baby Stuart. She left and David told the nanny to bring his son to him. David sat at the piano with Trevor and lamented that fate had denied him being Trevor's pop. When Amanda returned home, spitting fire at David for causing problems with her and Jake, he was not surprised to learn that she wasn't pregnant. Amanda accused David of planning for her not to get pregnant as a means of manipulating her. David seemed poised to tell Amanda the truth about not being Trevor's father.

Liza returned home and was livid to find Damon there. She tossed him out. Liza told Bailey that Damon had tried to extort money from her but she believed that Liza was lying. A fight ensued. Bailey stalked out. Liza snuggled with the baby pensively. Bailey returned and told Liza that she was leaving — with Stuart — to take some time to figure out what she was going to do.

Tuesday

Bailey announced that she was leaving with Stuart. Liza and Colby tried to talk her out of it but Bailey was insistent. Liza offered to move out with Colby so that Bailey and the baby could have a safe place to stay. Colby was livid. "I don't have a choice," sighed Liza. Liza said a painful good-bye to Stuart.

Kat observed secretly as Zach opened the envelope she had left behind containing Kendall's wedding ring. He caught her snooping. Kat covered as best she could but Zach remained suspicious and threw her out. Zach summoned Liza and told Liza that he wanted a divorce. She tried to talk him down but he was insistent. His inebriation made it difficult for Liza to reason with him.... Kat reunited with Aidan. He menacingly said that the plan was going to end with Kendall falling in love with him. Kat tried to be the voice of reason but Aidan made it clear that he would stop at nothing to keep Kendall by his side. Aidan left and Kat looked concerned.... Zach pulled Liza into a steamy kiss.

David was prepared to tell Amanda the truth about not being Trevor's father, but when the baby started crying, Amanda raced to his side. The baby was feverish and David's revelation was tabled so that they could rush him to the hospital.

At Tad's, Jake didn't think he and Amanda had a future because she had sex with David and because Trevor would always be David's son. An arriving JR heard Jake dissing JR, and Tad defending him. Jake left in a rush when Amanda phoned to tell him that Trevor had taken ill. JR thanked Tad for his kind words. Tad and JR agreed that Christmas would be rough without Stuart. Marissa and Little Adam arrived. Tad summoned the rest of the clan, including Opal, to go pick out a Christmas tree.... At the hospital, Jake supported a worried-sick Amanda. David, Jake and Amanda went into the hallway when the doctor came to examine Trevor. David again tried to tell Jake and Amanda the truth but Jake interrupted him and went off on David, accusing him of not really caring about the baby. His tirade made David decide not to disclose the truth about Trevor. After their blow-up, Jake stormed out. Amanda was relieved to learn that Trevor just had an ear infection. Amanda relayed the good news to Jake, who told her that if this happens again, not to call him. "I can't do this anymore," he said, "tear my heart out over you."

In their jail cell, Adam told Scott that he was confident that Liza would get them exonerated but that he worried about Annie's fate. Scott told Adam that if he went free, he planned to leave Pine Valley. Adam begged him to reconsider. Scott relented. "Okay," he smiled. "I'll stay, for a little while," but he said that he would be moving into the gatehouse. Adam patted him on the arm approvingly.

The Martins returned home with their tree. Marissa tried to get JR to open up about missing his dad. JR had a coughing spell but dismissed it as nothing. Krystal and Tad continued to get along very, very well. Tree-decorating ensued. JR coughed up some blood and concealed it from his wife.

Wednesday

Jake told Amanda that he loved her but couldn't go on like this and raise David's kids. She tried to talk him out of ending their relationship but he was adamant. Jake then informed Angie that he was quitting and leaving town. Amanda begged him to reconsider. Angie offered to talk to him but he wasn't in the mood for her speechifying and left. Angie called after him that she wasn't going to accept his resignation. Next, Angie pep-talked Amanda.

JR covered to Marissa after coughing up blood. Tad informed Opal that Erica was in L.A. looking for Kendall. The Martins lit up their tree and a power outage ensued. Tad fixed the matter and JR agreed to let Little Adam spend the night. Tad got a call from Amanda, who told him about Jake quitting. Opal had a bad feeling about Kendall that she couldn't shake.

Liza broke away from Zach's kiss. She blasted him for trying to use her to get over Kendall and told Zach that she wouldn't help him take Ian away from Kendall. She left in a huff. Liza went to Jake's loft; Tad showed up there, too. Liza, clearly on the verge of losing it over her own custody issues with baby Stuart, leaned on Tad for support. Tad congratulated Liza for sticking to her guns where Zach was concerned. She opened up about the baby Stuart situation.

Opal rushed to the casino to warn Zach about Kendall being in danger. He lashed out at her. An arriving Jake told Zach to back off. Zach decked him and Myrtle's picture ended up falling to the ground and the frame shattering. This had a sobering effect on Zach, who, with encouragement from Opal, decided to go home to his kids. Jake went home to the loft, interrupting a close moment between Tad and Liza. Jake told Liza that she could stay at his place. Liza excused herself so that Tad and Jake could talk. Tad tried to get Jake, who was frantically packing up his stuff, to take a breath and not run out of town. Zach went home and read a story to his son.... Liza said another painful good-bye to her son when she went to get her stuff.

David told the fertility doc that no one was going to take Trevor away from him. He commanded her to burn the proof. He then returned to Amanda's side; she gave him the brush-off. Amanda spoke harshly to David and slapped him across the face. She threatened to start screaming if he didn't leave her alone.

JR and Marissa went home and he quickly headed back out to get a Christmas tree for their place (or so he told Marissa). Really, JR went to the hospital, fearful that his lymphoma had returned. She did an emergency blood test. David saw JR in the corridor. He went home, with a tree, which he and Marissa decorated.

Thursday

Amanda came home and told David that Trevor was okay but Jake couldn't look either of them in the face. Just then, Tad showed up and informed Amanda that she needs to convince Jake to stay. "Talk to him," Tad pleaded before leaving. Amanda packed her bag and said she was through with David — and Trevor was coming with her. As Amanda was ready to leave, David blurted that he only had six months left to live. Amanda didn't believe him. David claimed he just found out, and wanted to give Trevor a sibling. "My children are my legacy," he sighed. David explained he had a rare blood disorder and showed her his medical records. David also produced the meds he's been taking. Amanda rushed out to tell Jake, noting that this news changed everything.

At PVH, Jake met with his dad, gave him a hug and told him he was leaving Pine Valley. Joe reminded his son that DNA is not what makes a father. Jake said his father was a better man than he is. Joe informed Jake that he and Ruth were making plans to retire and leave Pine Valley, and he had thought Jake would be his successor at the hospital.

In lockup, handcuff-clad Adam and Scott discussed their options. Colby showed up to visit. She was sympathetic but still wasn't ready to accept Annie. Adam assured his daughter that things would work out. Colby slipped her dad her cell phone so he could call Annie.... In PVH, Annie, still handcuffed to her bed, met with Liza. Outside, Ryan wanted to see Liza, too. She agreed. They discussed Annie's case.

In the courthouse, Marissa informed JR that she was working hard on Adam's case. JR was disconcerted. Adam, Scott and Liza arrived, as did Colby. The charges were read against Adam and Scott. Despite the state's pleas, the judge released them both on bail.

Ryan sneaked into Annie's room and confronted her about her confession. He advised Annie to wise up. Liza showed up and told Ryan to leave. Liza then informed Annie that Adam and Scott both made bail. The judge arrived to talk to Annie. The judge read Annie the charges against her, and she changed her ind and pleaded not guilty. The judge noted that once Annie was released from the hospital, she was headed for lockup. After the judge left, Liza wanted to know what Annie was up to. "You're going to save me," Annie smiled. Ryan burst in and asked why Annie changed her mind. "I'm going to beat this," she smiled. Adam arrived and hugged his bride.

Tad entered Jake's while he was packing. Tad pleaded with his brother to stay, reminding him of what he had to lose. "Trevor was never my son," Jake huffed as he walked out. Jake ran into Bailey and Stuey, noting he was heading out. Bailey admitted she was unsure what was best for the baby. Jake looked at the baby and reconsidered his travel plans. He returned home to find Tad still there, cleaning out the fridge. Jake admitted he couldn't leave Trevor. Amanda stood in the doorway, pleased at what she heard. As she informed Jake that David was on his way out, David told Trevor that his daddy wasn't going anywhere.

JR got bad news when he was informed his cancer was back. He met with Marissa but stayed mum.

Friday

JR gave Tad the news that his cancer is back, and Tad assured him that he'd get through the next round of treatments, especially with Marissa by his side. But JR had no plans to tell his wife, which shocked Tad. JR explained that Marissa had put her life on hold because of JR and his cancer. JR headed home and made love to his wife, who could tell that something was on his mind. Later, JR got a call from his doctor urging him to schedule his next treatment.

Liza visited Bailey with a dopey Santa doll and wanted to show it to Stuart, but Bailey wasn't sure it was a good time. Damon arrived just as Liza was on her way out and told her there's no way she can bar him from seeing Trevor. He went to see Bailey and announced that he got a job in Pine Valley that could support them and the baby. Bailey wasn't readily willing to accept his offer of a life together, but cracked a smile when she saw Damon bonding
with Stuart. Before heading out, Damon told Bailey that Stuart belongs with her and he believes they can work things out. Meanwhile, Liza griped to Tad about the run-in with Bailey and Damon and fretted over losing Stuart. Tad advised her not to do anything stupid.

Amanda watched David "sleeping" next to Trevor, while Jake searched around the mansion for David's medication. He swiped a bottle of serum to bring back to the hospital and tucked it away just as Amanda caught him in the living room. Jake explained to Amanda his concern that David is lying about being sick, just as David stirred and told baby Trevor that their little plan is working and he doesn't have to worry — Daddy's not really going to die! Amanda urged Jake to just hold on and believe that they can have their life back when this is all over. When they heard David coming, Jake ran off, but David figured out he had been there. While Amanda was getting him breakfast, he checked the cabinet where his medication was stowed and smiled when he realized Jake had taken the bait. Amanda returned from the kitchen and David told her to stop "coddling" him because he's sick. Amanda listened with compassion as David talked about losing his father at a young age and how he didn't want to deny his own child a family. She promised David that when he's gone, Trevor will grow up in a very loving home. "Guess it's time for me to give up the fight," David shrugged, noting that Jake and Amanda have won.

At the hospital, Jake showed the bottle to Angie, who assured Jake that he still has a job there if he wants one. She took a look at the serum and the test results, which looked real to her, but she said she wouldn't put it past David to produce some fake test results. A pharmacist later told Angie that the drug would have some serious side effects, just as David was doing his best to act sick. Amanda fell for it and showed David a video of her and Trevor's trip to the petting zoo. Once again, he talked about not wanting to rob Trevor of a father, so Amanda suggested he make a video. Meanwhile, Jake relayed his findings to Tad, who noted that David is a master of deception. Later, Jake phoned Amanda and left her a message letting her know that he loves her and wants to meet her at the stables. Amanda, however, was tending to an upset David, who became "emotional" while trying to make a video for Trevor. When he started running a fever, he told her not to worry, that it was just the drug's side effects, but she pulled him into a hug.
