She downplayed the significance of her loyalty.

Erica went to see Caleb, who opened up about the Asher situation. Erica urged Caleb to go to his son. JR and Caleb came face-to-face and JR goaded Caleb about Asher. "That's enough," snapped Erica. JR left with a smirk and Caleb and Erica agreed that their focus was on getting Cortlandt back from Chandler. Caleb, thinking that Asher was still unconscious, looked at his son but didn't enter his room. Asher took note. Asher told a returning Colby that he wanted revenge on Caleb for killing his mother. Colby was shocked by the news.

Greens was dismayed to realize that an account of Ryan's mission, he wouldn't be there for the reading of her verdict. Jack's arrival interrupted a close moment between Ryan and Greens. Ryan left and went to ConFusion to do some digging about Nick. When he bumped into Liza, who expressed concern about Greens, Ryan made it clear that they were no longer friends. Ryan hinted to Liza that the truth about David's death had yet to come out. After conversing with Jack, Greens said good night to her dad. They heard a commotion in the lobby and went to check it out: It was Caleb, Erica by his side, holding a press conference slinging mud at JR. He accused JR of stealing his family's business. Annie got a call from Ryan and left. Caleb tried to explain to Asher why he had given him up for adoption. Asher lunged at Caleb; JR grabbed Asher and escorted him out, but not before a weepy Asher pointed out that Caleb hadn't denied killing his mom.

A warm moment between Zach and Kendall was interrupted by a call from Ryan. Annie and Kendall met with Ryan, who told them that he was leaving town and needed to make sure Emma and Spike would be all right. Ryan explained why he had to go after Nick. Annie left but Kendall stayed behind, suspicious of what was going on.

Jack overheard Erica offering one of the reporters unfettered access to her life and wedding to squash the footage from Caleb and Asher's nasty confrontation. Jack was upset with Erica for not consulting him first. She defended herself and vowed to make it up to Jack, who softened. Erica left; Greens sat down with Jack and apologized to him for being such a difficult client.

Zach took the boys to Krystal's. Liza entered and he made it clear that he didn't want her interrupting his family time. She went back to ConFusion, where she heard the tail end of Jack and Greenlee's conversation (in which she hinted that she may be able to get her hands on some last-minute evidence). Jack took a call and when he turned back around, Greens was gone. She went to Ryan's, where Kendall was grilling Ryan about his trip. Kendall realized immediately that Greens was leaving town with Ryan. They had no choice but to admit it.

Caleb went back to Wildwind; Erica was there and tried to console him as he opened up about the pain of Asher's reaction to him. Erica felt that Caleb should tell Asher the truth. Caleb commented that there were certain things about Asher's mom that the kid was better off not knowing.

Colby overheard JR and Asher talking back at the house. Colby accused her brother of screwing around with Asher's emotions just to get to Caleb. JR exited and went back to his office. Annie returned and she and JR discussed the fraught relationships between fathers and sons. JR hoped for a better relationship with AJ than he had with Adam or that Caleb had with Asher. JR told Annie that he refused to lose custody of AJ to Marissa and that he trusted that things wouldn't always be so hard between him and Annie. Back at the house, Colby urged Asher to open up to her about what it felt like to come face-to-face with his dad. Asher admitted that things hadn't gone as he'd planned. They ended up in a kiss.

Liza made a phone call, noting that she had a hunch that Greens was planning to skip bail. Jack called Greens to warn her that Liza thinks she's skipping town and begged his daughter not to prove her right. Kendall offered to help Ryan and Greens get out of town. Zach showed up just as Kendall was proposing her scheme.

Wednesday

Kendall and Zach said good-bye to Ryan and Greenlee as they prepared to flee town. Back at the house, Kendall apologized to Zach for trying to assist Ryan and Greenlee behind his back. Zach snapped at Kendall to get her priorities straight. Kendall softened and tried to explain what motivated her to try to help her loved ones. He melted and told her that he had never loved anyone like this. They decided to stop talking in favor of kissing and undressing one another.

Colby and Asher kissed in the Chandler living room. She broke away and told Asher that it could never happen again. Damon walked in and accepted Asher's apology for keeping his paternity a secret. Colby said that they had to leave and bolted with Damon. They went to Krystal's, where Colby tried to shake off her smooch with Asher. He noticed that she was distracted. He proposed that they take a trip out of town

At Wildwind, Erica urged Caleb not to give up on Asher. Caleb was reluctant to tell Asher that Sonia had cheated on him. Erica went home, where she was surprised by a visit from Ryan and Greenlee. Erica begged Greens not to run but they insisted that they had no choice. Greens noted that if she didn't exonerate herself, Jack would never forgive himself for failing to free her. Erica gave Ryan and Greenlee the use of her private jet. After they left, Jack came home and Erica tried to get Jack's mind off the trial. Erica broke the news that Ryan and Greenlee had stopped by and she confirmed that they planned to leave town. Erica admitted that she had helped them get out of town. Jack was furious and Erica took offense when Jack implied that she had selfish motives for aiding Greens's escape. Erica told Jack that they couldn't let the chaos of Pine Valley come between them.

Bianca and Marissa talked about Asher being Caleb's son. Bianca pep-talked Marissa about the custody fight over AJ. JR stopped by and took pleasure in telling Marissa that Caleb didn't deny killing Asher's mother. Bianca defended Caleb. JR went home, where Caleb was waiting for him. In their ensuing dust-up, Caleb let it slip that he had once tried to burn down the Chandler house. Caleb refused to elaborate but hissed that JR didn't know who he was messing with. "Stop using my son," Caleb warned. Back at Wildwind, Caleb told Marissa that she would probably be better off with another attorney. Bianca and Marissa made it clear that they would not abandon Caleb.

At the Chandlers', JR and Asher bickered when JR pressed Asher for details on Caleb's role in a possible arson. The fellas hashed it out and declared their mutual loyalty.

Ryan and Greenlee went to ConFusion awaiting the jet pilot's text. Ryan reassured Greens that everything would be okay. The pilot texted to say that the aircraft was ready. Greens told Ryan that she trusted him and they left together.

Thursday

Ryan and Greenlee embarked on their mission to find Nick. They settled into a hotel room and began talking about Ryan’s break-up with Madison when someone knocked loudly on the door. It was a security guard; Greens fled in time, but fell. Meanwhile, Ryan was able to convince the guard that he was an undercover FBI Agent. Ryan went to collect Greens and found her unconscious; he rushed to her aid. She injured her ankle but was otherwise okay. Ryan took a deep breath and admitted his love for Greenlee. “I love you, too,” she smiled. Ryan apologized for not having tried harder to reunite with her earlier. Ryan got a text from Tad, warning them that the cops were following them.

Frankie approached Madison at Krystal’s. She had Ryan on the brain and Frankie gave her break-up counsel. Frankie introduced Mad to Logan, a new surgical resident. Frankie made himself scarce so that Mad and Logan could get better acquainted, but she had a hard time taking her mind off Ryan. Post-meal, Mad sighed to Frankie that Logan is great — he’s just not Ryan.

Zach and Kendall woke up in each other’s arms. Jesse’s arrival interrupted their morning delight. The Slaters told Jesse that they had no idea where Greenlee was; Jesse left. The boys came downstairs and quality family time ensued. Zach got a delivery of papers finalizing his exit from the casino business. Kendall and Zach looked at a scrapbook of their lives together. They reminisced and dashed back up to the bedroom, missing a call from Ryan and Greens. Ryan and Greens decided to ditch Kendall’s cell phone just to be safe. Ryan reassured Greens that they would be fine. “I know,” she said. They kissed tenderly.

Brot and Natalia disagreed about who had walked out on whom during their date. Jesse walked in on them arguing and dragged them to Krystal’s to hash things out. Brot and Nat copped to having been on some dates but claimed that they had realized they weren’t compatible. Jesse said that was good, because if it wasn’t true, one of them would have to be transferred. A downtrodden Brot left. Jesse warned Nat about making her job her whole life. Jesse got word that Ryan and Greenlee were in California. Natalia went back to the courthouse and planted a serious kiss on Brot.

Friday

When the doorbell rang, a frisky Zach asked Kendall not to answer it. Too
late! Erica walked in, then saw Asher’s taped reveal on TV. She immediately called Caleb, who was watching the feed at ConFusion. “We need to talk,” he said. Erica raced to his side and insisted they do damage control. Erica told Caleb to deal with Asher and she’d handle the media. Just then, she got a call from the FCC. Erica got off the phone and told Caleb she’d stick by him. She pointed out they have to convince the FCC that they are the good guys in this case, not Chandler Industries. Erica then acted as a reporter and questioned Caleb about Asher’s accusations. Erica urged Caleb to mend fences with his son, and then she headed out to Washington to handle the FCC.

Back at home, Kendall and Zach reveled in their domesticity. Kendall was touched when Zach gave her a sand dollar from their trip to the Bahamas. As they reminisced, he promised they’d go back someday.

Asher played it cool with Colby but she said there was no ignoring that he kissed her. “Move on,” he stated on his way out. Just then, Damon arrived. Damon didn’t understand why Colby was so apparently disinterested in Asher. She confessed that he kissed her. Damon was furious. Colby reassured Damon that she loved him, but added, “Don’t make me regret telling you.” Damon still wanted details. Colby told Damon that Asher acted like it was no big deal. Colby calmed him and Damon pulled her into a kiss. They ended up in bed. Post coital, they smiled and agreed they haven’t lost their spark.

In a quiet moment, Ryan and Greenlee shared a kiss. Ryan said they needed to plan their next move. Ryan then headed out. Alone, Greenlee recalled her time with Ryan. Back in Pine Valley, Kendall heard Ryan’s message on their home line. Kendall was worried but Zach said they’d be okay. Kendall wouldn’t let it go until finally Zach agreed to go look for them. Kendall hugged him. Zach packed a bag and said good-bye to the boys. When he wasn’t looking, Kendall slipped a note into his bag. Zach said he saw her. Zach grabbed his bag and headed to the door. They both said, “I love you” and kissed. “See you soon,” Zach smiled before walking out the door. Later, Kendall encouraged the boys to make something for Zach when he came home. Just then, the phone rang. Kendall answered but heard no one, then the call was disconnected.

Opal ran into Asher and noted that because of Palmer, they are family. They also discussed Caleb and Opal advised Asher to just play the cards he has been dealt. They shared a meal and Asher mentioned that Palmer had sent him a letter. Opal was intrigued and told Asher about Palmer. Opal offered to take Asher for a ride. They ended up at Cortlandt Manor, where Opal showed him Palmer’s portrait and pointed out that Palmer was someone who Asher could be like someday. Asher was surprised to learn from Opal that his argument with Caleb aired on TV. Opal suggested that Palmer was trying to tell Asher something by pushing Caleb and him together. Opal then excused herself and Asher stared at Palmer’s image. Asher read Palmer’s letter, encouraging him to embrace his family. Asher then put the letter away, just as Caleb walked through the door.

Ryan returned and re-wrapped Greenlee’s ankle. Sirens could be heard in the distance. “What are we coming to do?” Greenlee asked.
