Monday

Annie told JR that she was going to take Scott's advice and get as far away from the mansion as possible. JR tried to get her to reconsider. She insisted on going it alone and stalked out of the police station.

At Krystal's, Erica probed Krystal about the custody battle. The ladies verbally jockeyed over Caleb and Jack. After Erica left for the courthouse, JR entered to break the news about Scott to AJ. AJ was bummed. Krystal defended Marissa to JR, who urged Krystal to think about what Babe would want. Their conversation grew heated when JR said he could disappear with AJ at the drop of a hat.

Jack asked Greenlee what was going on between her and Ryan; she countered that she wanted to know what was going on between him and Ryan, noting the furtive glances and whispers she'd spied. Liza called Kendall to the stand. Liza forced Kendall to admit that David was blackmailing Greenlee and that the documents incriminated Greens in Erica's plane crash. Erica arrived in time for Jack to cross-examine Kendall. Liza called Erica to the stand. Erica admitted that she doesn't like Greenlee, adding that she doesn't like Liza, as well, but doesn't think that Liza killed David. Erica stated that Jack would not believe in Greenlee's innocence unless she were innocent. Kendall left. Erica was cross-examined by Jack. Erica testified that she believes David caused her plane to crash. Liza dispatched Damon to fetch her energy drinks while Jack complimented Erica for her performance on the stand. Greens tried to talk to Ryan about their kiss, but he shut her down. Jack and Ryan met for a status update. Ryan said that Tad was baby-sitting Nick Pearson until he testified. Greens made one more failed effort to get Ryan to discuss their kiss.

Annie went back to the mansion and told Emma that Scott was going to be gone for a while and they were moving out of the mansion. Emma was devastated. Annie met with an attorney, who said that the feds were within their rights to freeze her assets. JR arrived home as Annie was ranting at the lawyer. Annie again declined JR's offer of help. Annie went to ConFusion to drown her sorrows and look at apartment listings. A group of loutish guys invited her to join them. JR got a call from the bartender to warn him that Annie was getting wasted and needed someone to drive her home. By the time JR got to ConFusion, Annie was dancing on a tabletop.

Kendall came home to find Bianca, Miranda and Spike chowing down on cookies. She filled Binks in on what had happened in court. Kendall said that she hadn't heard back from Zach yet. Bianca was evasive about how things were with Reese. Kendall was pleased by how well Spike was doing in Pine Valley and wished that Zach was there to see it.

Tuesday

Asher broke the news of Scott's incarceration to Colby. Colby was convinced that JR had set Scott up to take the fall.

JR tried to rescue a soused Annie, who was drowning her sorrows at ConFusion in front of a group of leering gents. JR decked one of the men and dragged Annie back to the house, where he commanded her to take off her clothes — but only because he was throwing her into the shower to help her sober up. Post-shower, Annie pep-talked herself to get it together for Emma's sake.

Brot, Randi, Natalia and Frankie hung at Krystal's, discussing Fusion business, specifically a perfume for brides. Natalia fantasized about her wedding day. Natalia followed Brot back to the station when he suddenly claimed that he had to go back there. Brot told Natalia that he was taking the detective's exam, and also that he was tired of her pulling back from him. Randi told Frankie that she was thinking about changing her look to stay current in the modeling game. He was summoned by a call from the hospital.

Jesse and Angie arrived at the hospital. Angie introduced Jesse to a piece of medical equipment that read blood pressure results for the blind. Angie was concerned about Jesse's blood pressure, which was elevated. Bianca came to see a patient from the Miranda Center, who tried to flee. Angie tried to get the terrified, battered woman to stay and talk to her. Angie convinced the woman that she had the strength to leave her husband and take shelter at the center. Back at home, Angie updated Jesse on her conversation with the woman, Betty, and about the new skills she was picking up since losing her sight. Angie felt the baby move. They celebrated.

Asher drove Colby to the police station, and Jesse told her that there had been no mistake: Scott had confessed. Jesse told her that she couldn't see Scott because he had already been transferred to state prison. She broke down crying. Damon left messages for Colby, worried about her, while she opened up to Asher. Colby went home and confronted JR about not having told her about Scott. Colby begged JR to stay away from Annie, but JR cautioned her that it would take more than that to fix their splintered family. Colby was moved by his speech, but stormed out upon the entrance of a robe-clad Annie. JR sighed that Annie should have stayed upstairs; she apologized and volunteered to leave. Annie accepted JR's offer for her to stay at the beach house. She thanked him.

Asher went back to Krystal's and fingered a news article about a mining accident. Asher told Damon that Colby had told him to tell Damon that she'd call him later. Colby went to Krystal's and wept to Damon about the JR/Annie/Scott situation. Damon saw Asher consoling Colby and was none too pleased. He rushed to reclaim his gal pal.

Wednesday

Liza was frustrated when Damon dragged her to the hospital. Damon told Frankie that he'd found Liza almost passed out in her office. Liza's protests that she was fine fell short when she nearly fell over. Frankie diagnosed her with dehydration and exhaustion. Liza tasked Damon with making sure that the media didn't find out about her condition. Damon thought that if he called Colby, Colby would race to her mom's side, but Liza insisted that he not let Colby know she was hospitalized. Damon sweetly told Liza that he was there for her. Liza and Damon grew closer and she told him that she had been wrong about his intentions toward Colby. Frankie reluctantly agreed to discharge Liza.

At Krystal's, Krystal warned Tad not to tell anyone about the secret witness poised to testify at Greenlee's trial. She gently accused Tad of being jealous of her admiration for Jack. Talk turned to the JR/Marissa custody battle.

Jack told Erica that he couldn't discuss trial strategy with her. She told him that she felt they had to postpone their wedding. Jack wanted to go through with the holiday ceremony as planned. Krystal stopped by with some papers for Jack. Erica left after a snarky comment to Krystal. Krystal tried to reassure Jack that he wouldn't lose Greenlee by implicating Ryan during the trial. Jack panicked when a computer glitch erased his notes; Krystal calmed him down. "You really are amazing," Jack beamed.

Caleb went to the Chandler mansion to propose that JR relinquish Cortlandt to him as a public relations move. Asher glowered as Caleb threatened JR with jail and the loss of AJ if he declined. Asher and Caleb shared a fraught moment before Caleb departed. A riled-up Asher revealed to JR that Caleb had killed his mother. He told JR everything he knew about the mine explosion that resulted in his mom's death, which, Asher maintained, Caleb either knew about in advance or caused. JR wanted more details; Asher said that he wasn't ready to spill them yet. Asher went to Krystal's and stared mournfully at his mom's obit. JR summoned Tad to the house, where he ranted against Caleb for jeopardizing his custody bid. Tad was annoyed. JR asked Tad to investigate Caleb. Tad told JR not to resort to Adam-like tactics. JR was unmoved. "Sorry," said Tad. "You're on your own."

Erica went to Wildwind to see Caleb. She made him promise that he was done underestimating her capabilities. Caleb told Erica that he owes his life to Palmer. Erica gently asked Caleb if Sonia had died in a fire. Caleb was evasive. Later, in front of a roaring fire, he fingered a trinket that once belonged to Sonia and sighed, "I'm sorry, Sonia. I'm sorry."

Thursday

In the Chandler living room, JR pondered Asher's claim that Caleb had killed Asher's mother. Upstairs, a hungover Annie woke up and, after removing her wedding ring, resolved once again to get herself together for Emma's sake. Marissa stopped by the mansion to collect some of AJ's belongings. Given that it was their wedding anniversary, JR offered Marissa a present, which he'd purchased before their break-up; she declined. Annie burst in, upsetting JR. He told Marissa that Annie was moving out of the mansion and warned her not to continue with the custody fight. Marissa huffed that she was a fool to think they could be civil to one another and stormed out. Annie once again declined JR's offer of a loan but promised that Marissa would never find out about their tryst from her. JR thanked her for not revealing to Marissa why Scott turned himself in. Later, JR listened in as a weeping Annie packed up her belongings.

At Greenlee's trial, Greens thanked Jack for his diligent efforts on his behalf. A nervous Madison prepared to take the stand; Jack tried to ready her for Liza's interrogation. Once under oath, Madison testified that she lied to Liza about hearing Greenlee threaten to kill David out of jealousy of the Ryan/Greens relationship. Liza attempted to use Mad to prove that Greenlee is still in love with Ryan. Madison admits that Ryan was trying to help Greenlee escape from Hayward's clutches. Once off the stand, Madison apologized to Ryan for her testimony; he said it was okay. The prosecution (Liza) rested. Jack assured Greens that he would do a good job once the case was in their hands. Privately, Jack thanked Ryan for his potential sacrifice and promised to be in his corner should he need him. Mad apologized to Greens, who also told her it was okay. Concerned about how it may look to the jury, Greenlee asked Ryan to stay away from the trial. He adamantly refused.

At Krystal's, Colby told Asher that he would not help JR attack Marissa. Asher made a sly comment about there being nothing wrong with a little revenge. Asher sniffed that she wouldn't understand where he was coming from, since she had two parents who fought over her. When Marissa entered, Colby asked Marissa to stop the custody battle. Marissa sniffed that AJ is her son, not just JR's. Colby told Marissa that she still sided with JR.

Friday

Greenlee went to see Kendall and asked Kendall to convince Ryan to stay away from the trial. Kendall told her community service supervisor about her fantasy of Zach coming to rescue her. Just then, Zach entered. He said that coming home was a spontaneous decision but assured her that he was there to stay and that he had forgiven her. Major nuzzling ensued. Kendall was overjoyed to back to the house with her hubby. Zach took a call, then told Kendall that he couldn't stick around, after all. Kendall refused to let him leave.

Ryan assured Jack that Nick was good to go on the witness stand. Madison reminded Ryan that Greenlee doesn't want him at the trial.

Jesse and Angie discussed the trial. Angie thought that Greenlee was innocent. Angie told Jesse that if she were to testify, she would make herself look like a suspect with her own hatred for David. Angie and Jesse wept together and agreed to count their many blessings. Angie and Jesse then went to her amnio appointment.

When court resumed, Greens demanded that Ryan be removed; the judge told her to sit down. Liza was rattled when Jack called his surprise witness, Nick. Ryan admitted to Madison that he planned to cast suspicion on himself. "This is insane!" barked Mad. Ryan insisted that the plan was good and destined to succeed, but Madison was upset and stormed out. Meanwhile, Nick testified about seeing Ryan the night of the murder. Greenlee was crestfallen at first, then furious, as Jack tried to prove reasonable doubt by implying Ryan's guilt. When Liza cross-examined Nick, she tried to discredit him. The judge called a recess; Greenlee railed at Jack for lying to her and left. She confronted Ryan, who told Greens that he was going to do whatever it took to exonerate her.
