All My Children Recaps

Monday
David shocked Amanda with the news that he wants to have another child with her, via artificial insemination. He offered to give her joint custody of both kids and to let her go back to Jake if she agreed. David exited and Jake arrived. Amanda told him what David had proposed and Jake, understandably, had a bad reaction. "You want me to get in line behind David to have a baby with you?" he seethed. A saddened Amanda returned home and confided in baby Trevor. Jake went to the hospital to confront David. He warned David that Hayward would not destroy his marriage. Jake then went to see Amanda and the baby, assuring her of his love. Amanda said she wanted to make the decision about the baby with Jake, but he felt that the choice was hers.
Aidan explained to Kendall how she could use online message boards to communicate with Zach. She decided to use a poetry site and was touched when Aidan knew a poem that was special to her and Zach. Aidan lamented that all he wanted was to love someone who loved him back. "You'll find someone," Kendall said reassuringly. Aidan's hand lingered on Kendall's.
A woozy Adam was grilled by Zach about what he had seen on the night of Stuart's murder. Scott came in and ordered Zach to keep his hands off Adam. He sent Adam upstairs and demanded to know what Zach was doing there. Zach told Scott that Adam had claimed to want to help Kendall but that it wasn't true. Scott pulled a gun on Zach, who remained calm.
At the penthouse, Ryan asked Erica for parenting advice while, upstairs, Emma threatened to tell everyone that Adam killed Stuart — if Annie kept living at the mansion. Annie stressed to Emma how important it is that she keep quiet about what she saw.... Erica got word that Annie never showed up to meet with the wedding gown designer. Ryan raced upstairs and caught Annie in Emma's room. Annie covered by saying that she had come to tell Emma that she was calling off the wedding. Annie headed home and heard Zach accusing Scott of protecting the person who killed his father. Zach hounded Scott and Annie told Zach that he would kill him unless he left. Annie began firing the gun. Security and Adam raced in. Annie said it had been an accident. After Zach left, Adam promised Annie that he was going to keep Slater away from her. Scott then berated Annie for firing the gun and she hissed that he needed to stay quiet about the killing. Scott warned Annie that Adam was on the verge of remembering, which he and Annie both agreed would kill Adam. Annie went to see a sleeping Adam, saying aloud that she couldn't marry him but loved him. "It's my turn to protect you," she said.
Ryan and Erica realized that Emma had blackmailed Annie into calling off her nuptials. Zach showed up and told them about the episode at the mansion. Zach got a call from Jesse, summoning him home. Aidan had tipped Jesse off to the poetry site, and once this info was relayed to Zach, he eagerly logged on. Zach found Kendall's message and responded with one of his own. In the church, a delighted Kendall received Zach's response. "You are with him in his heart," Zach had written.
Tuesday
A new day dawned in Pine Valley, and Kendall read an e-mail from Zach, which contained a poem. It made her smile. They cyber-chatted. "I'd do anything to have you in my arms," he wrote. "Me, too," she replied. There was a knock on the door, so Zach had to go. It was Jesse, who asked if Zach had made contact with Kendall on the Web site. Zach said they had, but it wasn't enough and wanted to see her. He made an offhand remark about her being in an abandoned building. Jesse asked if he knew the location. Zach said he didn't, but thought she was in a church in farm country somewhere. Jesse threw the cops off of their trail by sending them in the opposite direction of Kendall and Aidan. Jesse ordered Zach to get some sleep, then left.
At the church, Kendall told Aidan that Zach had written amazing things to her through the night and she was encouraged. Aidan warned her to be careful with her online postings. She read Zach's poems aloud to Aidan. He clutched his arm, then said he would go look for food. He urged her to rest while she could. Kendall and Zach came to each other in their dreams.
At the cancer support group, JR introduced Marissa to the group. They didn't know he was married and congratulated him. JR pulled his bride into a dance, then declared he was a lucky man because Marissa gave him a second chance at love and life. Dr. Kahn came in to get the session started. Marissa took off. JR sat down and addressed the group. With tears in his eyes, he admitted that there were days when he was scared.
Brot was running in the park when he ran into Natalia, who was working on her laptop. He got a cramp and fell to the ground. She chided him for being able to deal with running in Iraq but not Pine Valley. He spied her looking at a map. He asked if she was planning on moving. She explained that she was trying to track Kendall and Aidan. Brot noted that she should trust Jesse. She left to take a drive and maybe "find a couple of criminals." ... Jesse returned to Zach's place and reported that Natalia might be on to Aidan and Kendall's locale. Zach wanted to warn her but Kendall didn't respond. Aidan returned to the church with food. Kendall woke up. They were alarmed to hear noise outside.
Jake and Amanda woke up in each other's arms. She wished they could wake up like that every morning. A cloud fell over her face. She lamented that the only way she and Jake could be together was to give David everything he wanted. Jake brought in breakfast and they discussed the situation further. Or at least Amanda did while Jake listened patiently. He urged her to eat something. She worried about saying no to David's request for her to bear him another child. She asked Jake for his opinion. He explained that David was so unbalanced that it was hard for him to weigh in on what she should do. He said he was there for her, "but the decision has to be yours." The nanny brought Trevor by. Amanda told the baby they were all going to the petting zoo. Jake thought it might be nice for Amanda to have some alone time with the baby, thinking it might help her make a decision.
David summoned Liza to his home to discuss a legal matter. "Congratulate me. I'm about to be a father," he announced and told Liza about his Amanda ultimatum. She asked what part she played. He asked her to draw up a contract, adding that Amanda trusted her. She agreed to do it, as long as he told her everything. "You only play to win," she pointed out, then asked if his real plan was to get custody of both kids. He insisted there was no ulterior motive. She suspected he wanted to "blow Jake's life to hell." Marissa came in during their chat. Liza walked out, refusing to represent him. Marissa confronted her father, demanding to know why he was "ordering up another kid." They fought; she stormed out. JR came home to find her crying and raging about David. She suggested they take a nap and forget about everyone.
Liza visited Jake and hoped he talked Amanda out of having a child for David. Jake noted that it was her decision. Liza felt it was a no-brainer and Amanda should say no.... Tad came upon Amanda and the baby in the park. He was excited to see the boy. Amanda burst into tears, explaining that she had to make a big decision that could be the biggest mistake of her life. She told him what was going on, but urged him to steer clear of David. Tad said he would. After, Tad visited Jake to see how he was doing. Jake said he was okay. Amanda went to David — with Liza in tow — and agreed to have another child with him. "But I am doing this for the future of my family," she insisted. "I love, Jake not you."
Wednesday
J.R. apologized to Marissa for being "a selfish pig" by making her take care of him. She assured him that she's happy and that her crying meant nothing. She finally broke down and admitted she's angry because the cancer has taken so much away from them and worries that it may have robbed them of their chance of having children, but she refuses to give in or give up because she still loves him and wants to be with him and urged him not to fight with her. She left in a huff with a bag of Halloween treats. Later, Marissa saw little Adam with a bunch of trick-or-treaters. She gave him a huge hug. When she returned home, she interrupted JR's phone call with the doc. He quickly hung up after inquiring if the Chemo will affect his fertility.
At the Chandler manse, Erica startled Adam, who was shocked when she informed him that Annie had canceled the wedding. He called La Kane's bluff. Erica couldn't believe Annie didn't tell him what she did. Meanwhile, Annie went to visit Emma, but Ryan refused to let her in and told her to stop trying to manipulate Emma's emotions, adding that the child will never support her marriage to Adam. He finally let her enter and she talked Halloween costumes with her daughter. Emma agreed to wear Annie's ladybug costume even though she's already dressed up as a princess. Annie was pleased. When Ryan took a call, Annie took the opportunity to persuade Emma to let her marry Adam and pointed out that sometimes people do things they don't mean and that Adam is very sick. The chat was cut short when Ryan returned; Annie needled Ryan for keeping her away from Emma and departed.
Kendall and Aidan rushed to hide when they heard a car approaching the church. Two teens entered and wondered if the place is haunted. Aidan quickly scared them off. Meanwhile, Natalia and Brot, who were trying to track Zach and Kendall, approached a cabin wielding guns but they didn't find anyone inside. They bickered and Natalia was miffed when she realized they were stranded because the car wouldn't start. Brot talked her down and they shared a flirty moment. Natalia told him she just wants to prove herself to her dad. He was inspired and offered to take a look under the hood of her car. Later, Kendall and Zach continued their romantic online chat. Zach assured his wife that she'll be able to come home before she knows it. Kendall asked Aidan if he misses Greenlee and pointed out that he deserves to be with someone amazing. Then she helped change his bandages. Aidan worried he might not find his one true love.
Annie returned home and was forced to admit the truth to Adam. She pleaded her case; he was sympathetic to Emma's feelings and wished he could talk to her. Annie shot down the idea and reminded him that Ryan would never let that happen. They agreed to postpone their wedding until they get Emma's blessing. Meanwhile, Ryan comforted Erica, who was stressed out about Kendall's situation and worried the cops would hurt her if they found her. Ryan assured Erica that Annie is running out of options, especially now that Emma is blackmailing her out of marrying Adam, so it won't be long before she's forced to come clean. Erica agreed she can't wait to see Annie pay for all the suffering she's caused.
Jesse informed Zach that Natalia is off of Kendall's trail and he's doing everything he can. Zach admitted he's tired of not having his wife around and said he's very close to getting Adam. Jesse was confused and demanded to know what Zach had done. "You've done enough. Leave it to me," Zach said. After, he went to inform Ryan and Erica that Kendall is safe but wants to keep the details of her whereabouts quiet. He urged them to help in getting Adam to talk. Erica wondered if they might get assistance from beyond the grave to help Adam remember. Ryan pointed out that Adam was affected by his "vision" of Stuart before so they all agreed to make Adam believe Stuart's still alive.
Back at the stranded cabin, Brot was unsuccessful in getting the car to start. Nat worried about how they'll survive and they shared an awkward moment when he took off his dirty sweatshirt. He could tell that she was uncomfortable looking at his burns and called her out for being insulting to him. Meanwhile, Adam went to go see Emma at the playground (she was shocked when he approached her) and left a note for Annie.
Thursday
At ConFusion, Liza, David, Jake and Amanda met to discuss the legal agreement for Amanda and David to have a second baby. David had had it written into the contract that Jake and Amanda couldn't have sex for the duration of Amanda's pregnancy and that Amanda had to live in Wildwind; Jake and Amanda were outraged. She ultimately ripped up the contract and stormed over to the bar with Jake. David told Liza that Amanda would come around. Jake told Amanda he could live with the terms of the contract.... David told Liza that she could use a friend like him and made a dig about Stuart's birth mother showing up at her doorstep.... Amanda and Jake approached David and she announced that she wanted to sign the contract, then made it clear that until she put her name on the document, she intended to have her way with her husband. David told Liza that the only things that mattered to him are love and family; she said she didn't buy it.... Jake and Amanda made love.
In the park, Emma came face-to-face with Adam. She was initially terrified but Little Adam's warm reaction to his grandfather put her at ease, as did Adam's comments about how much he misses Stuart. Nearby, Erica told Ryan that it was smart for him and Zach to be targeting Adam. They then overheard Annie looking for Emma and Ryan confronted her. The trio realized that Emma was with Adam and rushed to her. Emma privately told Annie that she could tell Adam was sorry about hurting his brother. Emma then informed Ryan that Adam had been crying over Stuart. Erica and Ryan were encouraged, thinking that all Adam needed was a little push....
Natalia denied to Brot that his scars bothered her but admitted that she had initially been thrown by his appearance when she met him. There was a flicker of sexual tension, which Nat quicky diffused. She tenderly cleaned his arm, which was dirty from working on the broken-down car. Brot offered his take on Natalia's personality to her and she beamed when he told her she's hot. She told Brot what she thought of him, speaking admiringly of him. But the close moment went bust when she realized that he was the one who had tampered with her car engine. She realized that her dad had put him up to it. She told Brot to walk himself back to town and stalked off.
Zach went to the Chandler manse to see Scott and apologized for how hard he'd pushed him the other night. Zach laid on the guilt, asking what Stuart would think of Scott for letting an innocent woman take the fall for someone else's crime. Zach accused Scott of being Annie's lover as Zach and Annie returned home. Adam pronounced Zach's words as vile. Annie informed Zach that the wedding was back on. Zach went to the park to tell Erica and Ryan that the wedding was scheduled to take place soon. They realized their window of opportunity was shutting.... Annie told Adam that whatever he had said to Emma had changed her mind about stopping Annie from marrying Adam. She then shared the news with Scott, who was having second thoughts about keeping mum about who really shot his father. Annie begged Scott to stay quiet.... Erica and Ryan went to ConFusion, where they compared notes on where things stood with their new plan to get Adam to talk. "Everything is all set up," she said cryptically. Ryan got a text saying, "It's done." Ryan indicated that Stuart was going to make a Halloween appearance.... Back at the mansion, Zach had placed a seemingly blood-soaked sign saying "Help me, Adam," which made Adam call out, "Stuart?" He went and fetched Annie and Scott to show them the sign, but Zach replaced it with a portrait when Adam left, leaving him befuddled upon his return.
Colby came home from a shopping spree and encountered Bailey, who told Colby about Stuart's father, Damon. Bailey made it clear that she didn't think that she could walk away from her baby. Bailey was pleasantly surprised when she got a text from Damon.
Friday
Scott approached Adam as he appeared to be a in a daze while gazing at a painting. He was startled, and told Scott that he can't help but think of Stuart when he sees that painting. Annie came in and advised Adam not to fret about Stuart for the night, reminding him of their big Halloween plans. When Adam was gone, Scott remarked that Adam is starting to remember what happened the night Stuart died.
While Amanda and David were in the park with Trevor, David reminded her that she can't have sex with Jake while they're trying to conceive. Jaked walked into ConFusion with two garment bags and called Liza, asking her to meet him there right away. Bailey seemed nervous to stay home alone with baby Stuart, but assured Liza that they'd be fine. When Liza was gone, Damon showed up and wanted to be alone with Bailey. When he heard a baby crying, Bailey lied that the boy was Liza's son and she's just babysitting since Liza's letting her crash there. When she refused to leave the apartment with him, he started to walk out, but she told him to wait.
Erica showed up at ConFusion as a sexy vampire and met her vampire count, Ryan. She thanked him for teaming up with Zach and couldn't wait to prove Annie's guilt. Liza arrived at Jake's request and was amused to see what he had in store for them. After persuading her to be David's date for the evening so that he could have some time with Amanda, she put on her Cruella De Vil costume. Krystal and Tad came dressed as Morticia and Gomez Addams and Angie and Jesse were some kind of corpse couple, but Pete didn't get the concept of "Monster Mash," as he showed up as Mr. Fantastic. Erica delighted in facing off with Annie, who accused Erica of being jealous of the Bride-Of-Frankenstein-To-Be. When Adam needed to use the facilities, Erica directed him to her office, where he found a mirror with "Help Me Adam" scrawled in red paint. Annie and Scott sensed that Erica and Ryan were plotting something and hopped into the elevator, which promptly went dead. Erica got to the office before they could and found Adam standing there looking disoriented.
At the party, Tad explained David and Amanda's unsavory deal to Krystal. Jake reunited with his wife, also dressed as a wrapped-up mummy, and said he didn't want to talk about the baby deal tonight. Natalia was fuming after her dad temporarily suspended her from the force when Brot came out to comfort her. She ended up having a good laugh at his clown costume while he attempted to be serious. Bailey showed up with Damon, who was dressed as Twilight's Edward Cullen, and Liza was shocked to see that Bailey had abandoned Stuart. Bailey assured Liza that Stuart has a sitter, but Liza wasn't pleased, especially when Damon returned with a rum and coke for Bailey. Liza chastised Bailey for being so irresponsible, then told Jake to deal with his own sex life and headed home.
Erica escorted Adam to his living room, where Zach was hiding with a laptop computer. "Adam, please help me!" a voice suddenly called from Zach's secret computer. The lights went out and Adam called out for his fiancée, who was still trapped in the elevator with Stuart. Adam continued to hear Stuart's voice and thought he saw a figure on the terrace. He went to the window, and the events of the night Stuart died and all the people who threatened him began to flash through his mind. He then recalled holding a gun. "Stuart, I remember!" he cried out, falling to his knees.
