AMC week of September 17, 2007 Recaps
Monday
Aidan searched for Annie as Ryan tried calling her. Aidan picked up the
phone, and Ryan warned him that Annie's brother got out of prison early.
Aidan told Ryan that Annie had taken off. Ryan came home, and Aidan told him
Annie thought she saw someone watching them. Ryan thought Richie had gotten
her, and Aidan warned him that Annie had the locket in her purse. Just as
Ryan was about to leave to search for her, Annie walked in. She told them
she just went out for some fresh air. Aidan left them alone to talk. Ryan
asked Annie about the locket, and told her Richie had been released. Ryan
asked if she had any pictures they could give to the police. Meanwhile at
The Comeback, Wes served a stranger at the bar. Babe chatted with Wes, who
asked her on a date. Just as she was explaining that she wasn't ready to
date yet, the stranger came up behind her and put a knife to her throat,
demanding the keys to the register. Wes managed to grab him and free Babe.
The stranger ran from the bar after briefly struggling with Wes. Babe took
care of a cut on Wes' arm, and thanked him for scaring the guy off. Derek
came in asking for a description of the man. They described him just as
Annie described Richie to Ryan. The descriptions were the same. Ryan relayed
the description to the police, and promised Annie he would stop her brother. After he left, Annie said that only she could stop her brother.
Babe called Krystal and told her what happened. She got off the phone and
told Wes that Krystal was giving him a raise for protecting the place. After
Derek left, Babe told Wes she'd like to change her answer about the date.
Kendall showed up at Greenlee's, and Greens wondered what she planned to
do to her. Kendall explained that she wanted to see if there was a way she
could eventually forgive her. She wanted to purge the hate she felt for her.
Greenlee told Kendall she would do whatever she wanted. Kendall said she
wanted them to work together at Fusion again, but she didn't want Ryan and
Zach to know about it. She also made Greens promise to stay away from Spike and Ian. Greenlee was happy just to have Kendall trying to forgive her. Kendall
left. Once Greenlee shut the door behind her Kendall smiled to herself, revealing that she had ulterior motives for her visit.
Hannah told Zach that she'd come back to thank him for helping her, and asked how much Kendall knew about what happened that night. Zach told her what happened was between only them. Hannah told him she wasn't there to ask him to give her a child, she was there to help him. She knew his life was in chaos, and wanted to come back to work at Cambias to help him out. Zach agreed to give her back her job.
Tuesday
Jonathan and Ava talked about her surgery and about JR's business idea. Ava said she loved the idea. Jon asked about her thinking she was pregnant, and Ava said she was on birth control...most of the time. Jon said he would make sure
they were protected from then on. He didn't think he could ever be a father.
He worried about being a kid's "crazy" dad. Ava reminded him that all
that was in the past. JR walked in, showing them a news story about Jonathan
being a multiple-murderer.
Adam worried about Colby working at The Comeback after the attempted
robbery. Colby refused to quit, so Adam asked her to move home now that he'd gotten the house back from Zach. Dre came in and Colby left to get him a CD. JR told Adam he was glad he got the house back, and wondered if he should tell everyone about him dressing up as Stuart. JR asked why Adam couldn't just
tell Krystal he loved her and wanted her back, but conceded that he wouldn't
tell her. Julia and Kathy arrived. Tad and Julia talked about Jamie, and
then about Kathy. He told her she was always welcome at his home. JR and
Babe make a pact to be careful in the future for their son. Adam told
Krystal that getting his house back meant nothing without his family.
Outside, Dre asked Colby about her father. She asked about his parents, and
he avoided the question. After a strained moment, Dre left. Colby went back inside, where Adam was leaning over Jenny's crib. Colby reported that Jenny
was smiling at him — she must think he's Stuart. Colby, Krystal and Babe talked about her moving back in with Adam. Colby told Adam she would spend more time at the mansion, and she would spend the weekends there. Happy, Adam went to leave, and Krystal asked him to tell Stuart to meet her at The
Comeback later.
Erica and Jack argued on camera about the right way to handle children, and
the relationship between stepchildren and stepparents. After filming was
over, Jack kissed Erica and asked her to go to lunch.
Annie and Ryan explained to Kendall and Zach why they had to move out.
Kendall could see how terrified Annie was, and told her that they were
family and she wasn't letting them go anywhere. They insisted on leaving,
but asked if Emma could stay with Kendall. Kendall said of course, and told Annie that she would make it through this. Kendall told Ryan that he could tell the guys he had following Greenlee to stop. Ryan said they would keep doing it, and wondered where her concern came from. Annie told Zach that he was right; sharing this with Ryan was a relief. Together the four of them
told asked Emma about staying there. Zach asked if she could stay to help
out with Spike. Emma agreed. Annie and Ryan left, as the robber from The
Comeback watched.
Wednesday
At Fusion, Babe told Amanda that she had a date with Wes. Kendall walked in,
and everyone welcomed her back with hugs. She thanked them for taking care
of things while she was out. Di walked in, and Kendall explained that she
had called her in for a meeting about Greenlee. She told them all that she
and Greenlee would be running Fusion together again, even though they would
never again be friends. Everyone was shocked, but they moved on to business.
Babe suggested they drop Ava, and everyone agreed except Di. Greenlee walked
into the middle of the conversation and said they were not getting rid of
Ava. Kendall was left with no choice but to agree, and asked Babe to be the
one to watch out for Ava from now on. Babe was far from pleased. Later,
Greenlee gave Kendall gifts for Spike and Ian. Kendall asked for a moment,
and once Greenlee left, she threw the toys in the garbage.
Jonathan told JR that Ava didn't need him, but Ava stopped him from leaving. Ava asked for a minute alone with Jon, and explained to him that she did still
need JR. She asked him to trust her to handle this. Jon told her to be
careful and left her with JR. Ava told him she knew he still wanted to work
with her. JR informed her that Jonathan had turned him down when he asked him to
fund the network. He suggested that Ava hit Jon up for the money. Ava quickly realized JR was behind the story about Jon. JR admitted she was right, but that it would help them get the money from him. He painted a picture of what it would be like if they created the network and Ava went starry-eyed and threw herself at him with a big kiss. JR abruptly pulled away and they awkwardly went back to talking about the business. Ava said she wouldn't "cheat" on Fusion. JR told her Fusion would initially be part of the plan, and then they would move on. JR said Babe would give him
whatever he wanted; it would be easy. "You think so?" asked Babe as she
walked in.
Aidan and Greenlee talked at ConFusion. Greenlee was clearly angry with him,
and Aidan told her he only said those things about her to Ryan so that Ryan
would work with him. He asked for her help. He wanted her to try and
remember about the night she found the locket. Annoyed that he wasn't
letting her work the case with him, Greenlee wouldn't give him answers. She
got up to head to work, and Aidan stood up to stop her and nearly collapsed.
Greenlee was concerned, and Aidan admitted he cared about her, too. He kissed her and she left smiling. Aidan got a call about the locket and ran out.
Krystal thanked Wes for saving Babe's life, and gave him a promotion.
Annie told Ryan she was worried about Richie hurting him. The Comeback
robber stood outside their door. A few minutes later, someone knocked on the
door, and when Ryan asked who it was the response was: "It's your killer
brother." But it wasn't Richie, it was Jon. He apologized for the article,
but they told him they hadn't even seen the article before he showed it to them.
Annie left Ryan and Jon alone to talk. Jon suggested Ryan drop him from his
business. Outside, Annie looked at her high school yearbook, and read
Richie's note to her. Then she found his picture, which had been scribbled
over in pen. She tore the page out and ripped it to pieces. She walked back
inside as Ryan reassured Jon. She agreed that anyone who really knew Jon
would never think such horrible things of him. Jon did a little business
with Ryan before leaving, and when Ryan walked him to the door, Annie threw
her yearbook into the fireplace. There was another knock on the door, and
this time it was Aidan with information about the locket. He'd gotten proof
that Annie sent the locket to herself. Elsewhere, the robber took a call on
his cell and told the person on the other end he was just beginning to have
fun.
Josh walked into his office to discover Hannah at his desk. Josh asked if
she slept with Zach before she left, but Hannah wouldn't answer him. She asked if they could start over, and he simply told her that if she messed with Kendall she'd have to answer to him. Hannah told him she hadn't seen anything go wrong with the company since she left, so he'd really stepped up. She told Josh she really missed him while she was gone, and that, in fact, was why she came back. Josh found that hard to believe.
Thursday
Kendall pulled the toys back out of the trash just as Erica walked in. Erica
was shocked to hear that Kendall would be working with Greenlee again. They
talked about Ian's progress, and Kendall flashed back to Greenlee seeing her
kangaroo with Ian. Erica could tell that something was wrong. She invited
her to come watch her tape NEW BEGINNINGS. Kendall left the room to get her stuff, and Erica called someone on her cell saying, "It worked. We're on our way."
Babe asked JR what exactly he meant by saying she was "easy." JR took a
phone call, but Babe said she wasn't done with him. Babe warned Ava to stay
away from JR, because she couldn't trust him. Then she went outside to confront JR. JR tried to explain his plan, while Ava eavesdropped from inside. He begged
Babe to give his ideas a chance. Babe asked him to let her deal with Ava
from now on, and he agreed, if she gave him a chance. After Babe left, JR
walked back inside, and Ava told him he was good. JR told her that without
Jonathan's money, this would always just be a dream.
At The Comeback, Krystal told Jenny they were going to have some fun. She said there were some sneaky men out there, and one in particular was trying
to fool her — Adam was pretending to be Stuart. Stuart arrived at the bar,
and Krystal immediately began flirting with him. She talked about how much
she missed Adam, and wondered why he couldn't just admit that he missed her
too. Then she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss.
Stuart's shock made her realize it was really him and she was instantly
mortified. Outside, Babe and Wes flirted.
Annie asked Ryan if everything was okay, and he showed her the proof that
she had sent the locket to herself. Annie denied it immediately. She could
tell that he didn't believe her. She warned him that Richie was always one
step ahead of everyone else. She told him that her parents believed she
pushed her father out the window, and she was scared Richie would be able to
convince Ryan that she was crazy. Ryan told her that would never happen. Richie couldn't change the fact that he loved her and believed her. Derek arrived at their door, saying they'd found the body of a man who fit the description of Annie's brother, and of The Comeback robber. He asked her to come down to the station to ID the body.
Josh argued with Zach about giving Hannah her job back. He asked if Zach
slept with her before she left, and Zach dodged the question. They talked
business and Josh was shocked to find out that Zach had given Adam back his
house. Zach told him it would take a lot more than getting his house back
for Adam to pull Chandler out of the mess it was in. Josh found a pamphlet
on Cochlear implants on Zach's desk, and warned him that Kendall wasn't
going to like it. Zach admitted to Josh that he let Hannah come back because
he was indeed off his game and he wanted the best people working there. He told
Josh that he appreciated everything that Josh did for him at work, and with
his family. He loved him, and was glad he was family.
At NEW BEGINNINGS, Erica introduced Kendall to a boy named Jason. Kendall
chatted him up. Erica came back for Jason, and told Kendall he was the star
of the show. Zach appeared behind Kendall as Erica introduced Jason to the
audience. She listed all the great things he participated in, and finally
said, "He's totally deaf." Kendall looked on in disbelief.
Friday
While Erica interviewed Jason, Zach pointed out to Kendall that Jason was
just like Spike. Kendall realized that Erica and Zach set her up. Jason told
Erica that the only thing he couldn't do was hear in the water, but there
were tons of other things he was able to do. Kendall listened, and after the
show, Erica walked over. Kendall let her know she was upset. Zach defended
Erica, saying all they did as introduce her to a deaf boy. Kendall acknowledged that they had good intentions, but said she wasn't ready to take that step yet. She was about to rush out, when Jason walked over asking to talk to her.
Annie told Derek she didn't think the robber could be her brother. After
Derek left, Annie told Ryan that even if it were Richie, it would never really be over. She didn't think Richie would do something like holding Babe at knifepoint. They left for the morgue.
Babe and Wes showed up at the morgue to ID the robber. Wes took her hand and
they went in, and positively identified him as the man who robbed The Comeback. Derek told them that there was a good chance the robber was Annie's brother. Babe sent Wes home and waited for Annie, so she could support her if she needed it. Wes left, and Annie and Ryan arrived. Annie told Babe she could go home, she would be fine. Babe told her to call if she needed her and left. Annie told Ryan that if her brother was dead it was her fault. Ryan tried to convince her that wasn't the case, and they went in to identify him. When they pulled back the sheet, Annie cried out and fainted.
At The Comeback, Krystal apologized to Stuart. Stuart admitted that she was
right; Adam had been pretending to be him, because he was lost without her.
Krystal said she wasn't playing games with Adam anymore. Babe arrived and
Wes greeted her outside. Babe was clearly upset, and asked Wes not to leave her. Wes consoled her, and she told him he was a really good guy.
Adam told the maid that Colby would be coming home. Tad walked in and told
him it wasn't permanent. He said if Adam really loved Colby he'd let her find her own way in life. He accused him of wanting Krystal back. Adam told
Tad that he'd lost Kate because he deserved to lose her. Tad told him he
would never get near Jenny again, and that Krystal was lucky to be rid of
him. Krystal walked in as Tad sang her praises, and said he only wanted to
see her happy. Adam accused him of being in love with her, and Tad said yes,
he was.
