AMC Week of September 3, 2007
Monday

Tuesday
Once home from Tad's party, Krystal asked him about the kiss. Tad maintained
that he had been aiming for her cheek, but caught her lips accidentally.
He said it shouldn't have happened and apologized. Krystal cocked an eyebrow
and admitted that she had, in fact, really enjoyed the kiss. The two
awkwardly talked themselves out of playing "mattress tag," relieved when
baby Jenny's crying gave them an excuse to let the conversation drop. The
next morning, Tad awoke to ear-splitting hip-hop music. He and Krystal played "rock, paper, scissors" to see who would get to go yell at Colby for playing her stereo so loudly, only to find out that the music was coming from a live band next door. Colby suggested another round of "rock, paper, scissors" to decide who would go yell at the neighbors. She went off, still in her robe and pajamas, only to return a short while later with the members of "Forbidden City." Colby made friends with the band members and went off to see them perform later that night, while Krystal and Tad wondered when they had gotten old.
A flirty, mildly intoxicated Aidan told Greenlee she had looked really cute
at the hospital — broken-ribbed, sure, but refreshingly unbitchy. Greenlee cheekily sidestepped his advances and headed out, but Aidan pulled her back in, inadvertently hurting her healing rib. He apologized and kissed her injury tenderly and, soon enough, the two ended up making love. The next morning, Aidan bandaged Greenlee. She turned toward him and lovingly whispered: "If you apologize for last night, I'll break your face." They spent an awkward breakfast trying to explain away why they had slept
together. Aidan left after they decided they would act as if nothing had happened.
At the cemetery, Annie took a stand against her father and warned him that
she would stop at nothing to protect her family. He hesitated at first and
accused his daughter of being self-righteous, but he finally relented and agreed to help her. When Ryan came home, he was surprised to find Annie
still up. Anxious and jittery, she made up a lie about going for a walk
because she had been unable to sleep. She promptly bid him good night and
rushed off to bed. The next day, Annie admitted she had gone to the cemetery
the night before, to visit her mother. Moments later, her father came by and
met Ryan for the first time. They talked about Emma, whom Annie's father had
never met, and her father seemed to be genuinely happy for her. It was only
as he was leaving that he told her, "Your mother would be ashamed of you," and left a teary-eyed Annie alone.
Zach carried a frazzled but infinitely happier Kendall up to bed after
he commented on how hopeful and relaxed she had looked among her family and
friends that night. When she awoke the next morning, Kendall sneakily
pocketed Spike's alternative medicine. Later, while snuggling on the couch,
she asked Zach how he could possibly put up with her and forgive her for
having run off with Spike while leaving Ian alone. Zach admitted he had been
angry but, more than that, he had been afraid for the lives of his family
members — a fear that was now replaced by hope. When Kendall bounced up to go check on her son, Zach discovered the medicine bottle. All of that former hope visibly drained from his face.
Wednesday
At Fusion, Greenlee was playing with her stuffed animal when Erica walked in and told her "he" wasn't hers. Erica quickly pointed out the stuffed animal was the "he" and "he" belonged to Ian. Greenlee said it was a gift from a friend. Erica told Greenlee she felt bad for her — Jack was disappointed in her and she must be disappointed in herself as well. Greenlee quickly turned the tables on Erica and pointed out all her failed marriages, and how badly she's treated jack. Erica told Greenlee she was in no position to accuse anyone of hurting the people they loved. Greenlee suggested she'd done something to help Kendall, and Erica told her to just leave them alone. Greenlee walked out. Erica went through Ian's presents, and called Jack.
Ryan and Annie's flight was delayed. Annie was upset that they wouldn't get home in time to say goodnight to the kids, and flashed back to threatening her father. Ryan asked again how her father lost his hearing, and Annie got annoyed. Ryan told her the meeting with her dad looked like a show, but Annie blew off his questions and went to sleep. Ryan turned on his laptop and Googled her father. He found an article about her father falling out a window. Meanwhile, Annie dreamed about the locket. Annie woke up scared, and was angry when she discovered Ryan had been researching her father. Annie panicked and tried to get off the plane. A fight attendant stopped her, and after she calmed down she apologized to Ryan. Ryan told her she needed to tell him the truth — she knew everything about his past.
Aidan was daydreaming about Greenlee when Jack arrived at the Yacht Club. He told Aidan he wanted to talk about him and Greenlee. He thanked him for standing by her. Greenlee walked up and asked to join them. Just then, Erica called Jack and said she needed to see him. Jack excused himself. After he left, Greenlee reiterated that sleeping together was a mistake, and Aidan agreed. After confirming that they were just friends, Aidan kissed Greenlee on the cheek and left.
Zach showed Kendall the vitamins he found. Kendall admitted Dr. Hilliard was treating Spike. Zach felt she didn't trust him, but she said it wasn't a big deal. Zach wasn't quick to buy her excuses. Kendall thought that Zach was ready to accept that Spike's deafness was permanent. Zach thought she needed to consider cochlear implants. Kendall pointed out that cochlear implants had limitations. Zach told her they were on the same team, and he would help her look into alternatives for Spike. Kendall apologized for keeping things from him. Zach said he would go see Dr. Hilliard. In fact, they would all go — Ryan and Annie too. Kendall refused to go with Ryan. Zach said she had to tell Ryan about the vitamins. If she didn't he would. Just then Ryan and Annie walked in.
Josh talked to Ian, teaching him about The Beatles. Julia came in and asked how Ian was doing. Josh apologized for the way he had treated her in the past. Julia accepted his apology and told him about Kathy, and Josh admitted he might someday want children.
Jack met Erica at Fusion, and she vented to him about Ian still being in the hospital. Jack put an arm around her and led her out.
Thursday
Ryan was furious to find out what Kendall had been up to behind his back. He said he was taking Spike away from there, and they were going to the park. Annie asked if Ryan wanted her to come with them, and he said no. Ryan left and
Kendall went after him. Zach told Annie that Ryan would be all right, but she
wasn't so sure. Annie told him she was worried about Ryan finding out about
her past, and Zach told her hiding his past only made things worse. They
talked about Ian's progress. Zach had an idea to make Annie hopeful for the
future.
"Stuart" (actually Adam) went to Krystal and Tad's house. Once inside, he was
surprised to find a party going on with the neighborhood kids. Krystal told him to join them. Colby begged for permission to go to Philly for a
concert. Tad said yes — if he could go with them. Colby reluctantly agreed. Alone, "Stuart" asked Colby how she was doing. Colby told him she missed her dad. "Stuart" filled her in on Adam, and told her she should go visit him.
He said Adam realized that he wasn't always right. Colby left to help
Krystal with the dishes, and "Stuart" talked to Jenny. Krystal overheard him
and was flattered by the nice things he was saying about her. She told him
he would make an excellent father. "Stuart" told her that Adam knew what a
great woman she is, but Krystal found that hard to believe. Suddenly Krystal
declared that she was on to him.
Kendall found Ryan in the park. He told her he wished she'd left him alone.
He couldn't believe she made decisions about Spike's life without his input.
He told her she was acting like Greenlee. Kendall admitted she was wrong, and apologized. Ryan softened. Kendall told him she'd like to take him and Spike somewhere. They went to the hospital to visit Ian, and they found Zach and Annie already there. Annie told Ryan she was ready to talk if he was
ready to listen.
Sitting in bed with Amanda, JR brought up Ava. Amanda wondered why JR was
suddenly so obsessed with her. JR told her he was only interested in
Ava for business. Amanda told him he was a jerk, and she couldn't believe he
would try to steal Ava from Fusion. JR explained his plans for Ava — a
shopping Web site. They started kissing, but were interrupted by a knock at
the door. Amanda was shocked when two men declared they were there to
repossess the yacht.
Ava sat with Jonathan on the beach while he worked on his laptop. Jon explained
Ryan and Erin discovered he had a brain tumor. Ava told him how great it was
to love someone. They shared a moment, and then Ava took her top off
and ran to the water. After a swim, Jon and Ava began to make love on the
beach, unaware of the paparazzi snapping pictures from behind some rocks. Jonathan tried to put on the brakes, suggesting they move someplace more private, but Ava wasn't interested.
Friday
Jack took Erica to the Yacht Club to eat, and as they relished being alone,
Greenlee walked in. Erica called her over and asked her to join them.
Greenlee couldn't believe Erica wanted to have dinner with her. They both
agreed for Jack's sake they could have a peaceful dinner, but moments later
they were throwing jabs across the table. Jack pointed out that Greenlee was the one who got Dr. Hilliard involved in Spike's case, and Greenlee couldn't believe he knew that. Erica stormed out after arguing with Jack over whether Greenlee should be getting involved in Kendall's life again. She made a call, and later showed up at Dr. Hilliard's office. When she and Dr.
Hilliard came face to face they recognized each other.
Kendall thanked Zach for calling her out, and then took Spike to bed. She told Zach to wait there for her. When she came back she was in a trench coat, and suggested he help her out of it. Underneath she had on a Red Wings dress,
and Zach was pleasantly surprised. They made love, and afterwards, Zach
promised he would always be there for her. Fooling around, they knocked
something over, and Spike began to cry after it crashed to the floor.
Kendall was convinced it meant Spike could hear.
Sitting on the beach, Annie kissed Ryan, fearing he would never kiss her
again after he knew the truth. After, Annie told him her mother was dead
because of her. She told Ryan about her brother Ritchie, and his capability
for cruelty. It got worse and worse until Ritchie pushed her father out a
window, resulting in her father's deafness. Annie admitted that she lied in court and testified against Ritchie, resulting in him being sentenced to 10
years in jail. Her mother killed herself the same day. Ryan was adamant that
Annie was not to blame for her mother's suicide. He realized that she
suspected Ritchie was behind the prank calls. Ryan swore he would protect
her and their family. Annie told him that the locket she got in the mail was
her mother's — she'd worn it when she killed herself. Annie took it off, and together they threw it into the ocean.
Krystal told "Stuart" that she knew he was there because he'd fallen in love
with Jenny. "Stuart" told Krystal how lonely the mansion was. She said she
didn't think Adam was capable of unconditional love, but "Stuart" disagreed. Krystal admitted to "Stuart" that Adam still had her heart, but that she would get over it. "Stuart" wondered why Krystal could never work things out
with Adam, and she explained it was because Adam would never look at Jenny
the way he did. "Stuart" left after Krystal thanked him for her friendship.
Amanda couldn't believe JR was losing the yacht. He told her that once his
plan for Ava took off he'd have money again. JR convinced the man to take an
IOU, and once he left JR and Amanda alone, JR expected to fall back into bed
with her. She put him off, and told him he should just ask Adam for his
shares back. JR got annoyed, but that quickly ended as Amanda began to seduce
him and they ended up back in bed. Later, JR went to the Chandler manse
where he found Stuart at Adam's desk. Adam came in behind him wearing
Stuart's clothes, and JR quickly caught on to Adam's game.
On the beach, Greenlee found Annie's locked washed up on the beach and
picked it up.
