Monday
Rick vented to Steffy about Ridge disapproving of them marrying at the beach. "Is that why you suggested it?" she wondered. Rick quickly assured her he wants a future with her and would marry her anywhere. In his office, Ridge and Brooke were discussing the very same subject. Brooke insisted her son is sincere but Ridge thought it was a "desecration." Taylor came in and Ridge brought her up to speed. She was instantly on Ridge's side. Steffy, trying to be practical, asked if she and Rick could really trust their feelings. Rick admitted that he and Ridge would never see eye to eye but swore their relationship was real. The duo then giggled over registering at Macy's and canoodled. Elsewhere, Ridge, Brooke, and Taylor continued to hash out the Rick issue. Brooke thought Rick and Steffy's marriage could heal the family. Taylor wanted her child away from Rick before it was too late and said Brooke was in denial. Ridge just watched his ladies argue and then walked over to stand by Taylor, noting he agreed with his ex. "It's up to you, Logan," he said, warning that it was up to Brooke to stop the wedding.
At Jackie M, Stephanie, Nick, Jackie were already butting heads. Stephanie wanted 50% of the company and Jackie balked. Nick offered her $500,000 a year and a partnership contingent upon their success. Steph wryly suggested his people call her people and moved to love...only to run straight into a nervous Bridget! Nick introduced Steph to Madame X, joking that Stephanie now had to play ball with him or he'd have to kill her because she knows their secret! Baffled Stephanie questioned Bridget about her shift from
medicine to fashion. Bridget then marveled at Stephanie joining Team Jackie M. Steph admired her designs before asking Jackie and Nick about their corporate strategy: "So who are we? 'Not Forrester' is not the answer," she noted. Nick got all excited, ready to make something new happen with other hip, young designers like Bridget.
Tuesday
Brooke was agog at Ridge and Taylor expecting her to stop the wedding. Taylor dubbed Rick "psychologically damaged" and said stopping the nuptials was the only way to help him. Down the hall, a still doubting Steffy pulled away from Rick, who assured her he's "unbelievably crazy" about her. As Ridge and Taylor insisted they were protecting Steffy, Brooke struggled to defend her child. Taylor dubbed Rick's problem a "textbook Oedipal complex." "When did you come up with this diagnosis? Before or after you slept with my son?" Brooke countered. Ridge continued to side with
Taylor because of their kids and Brooke walked out. Meanwhile, Steffy and Rick shilled for Macy's.Com's online bridal registry. When Brooke walked in looking all bummed out, Rick realized Ridge was having issues with the Point Doom wedding. He passionately made his case for his and Steffy's relationship once more. Brooke noted they had many obstacles and revealed Ridge and Taylor want her to stop the wedding. But she claimed she's on Rick and Steffy's side and believes in their love. Back in Ridge's office, Taylor didn't know how to fight for her daughter and Ridge assured her she wasn't alone. Later, Brooke told Taylor that she had to stop pressuring the kids while Ridge assured Rick the wedding wouldn't happen. "The only thing stopping me from killing you right now, Ricky boy, is Steffy," he warned. Rick said he loved Steffy but bugging Ridge is a "fringe benefit." He said
some icky things about Steffy and the steam room and left Ridge to smash a photo of him. Brooke and Taylor, meanwhile, continued to spar and Taylor dubbed Brooke's fantasy world a "farce." She swore to do whatever it takes
to free Steffy from Rick's "stranglehold."
Newly sprung Pam ordered a huge meal at Il Giardino and toasted with Stephanie to her future at Jackie M. Steph explained how the deal had come about. She declared "carpe diem" and toasted with Pam again, before explaining she feels needed at Jackie M. "I feel alive again, I feel like I have a fire in my belly," she said. Pam wanted to be a birdie on the wall when Eric and Donna found out where Steph had landed.
Wednesday
Jackie, Nick and Stephanie negotiated as Clarke and Owen listened through the door. After some back and forth, Nick agreed to make Stephanie a partner at Jackie M. Nick heard scuffling at the door, opened it, and found Owen and
Bridget, who were delighted they'd completed the deal. The gang celebrated with mini pigs in a blanket and whiskey. Stephanie noted they should start concentrating on young, hot designers. Bridget suggested Owen. Later, Stephanie and Clarke reminisced about Sally. Clarke noted that he knew
Stephanie didn't really like him and that Nick and Jackie would do whatever she said. He wondered if she was going to fire him. Clarke even volunteered to date Stephanie to make Eric jealous. Stephanie declined the offer and laughed. Nick returned with a contract and asked Stephanie to sign it.
Stephanie noted that a veteran needed to keep an eye on the company's hot new designers. "In other words, I can't fire Clarke," realized Nick. Clarke masked if that meant he'd be getting a promotion. "No!" Stephanie and Nick delivered in unison.
Owen stopped by to see Jackie and mentioned she'd been avoiding him since he kissed her. Jackie insisted they should just move on. Owen didn't want to. "I'd like to see you with your clothes off," he announced seductively. Jackie said people would snicker if they saw them out in public together.
Owen didn't seem concerned. Jackie continued trying to resist him. "You could take me or leave me?" asked Owen. "I didn't say that," retorted Jackie, going on about how a lot of women her age could boast about having happy marriages and families, but she wasn't one of them. She suggested Owen could be a schemer, who was out for her money or eager to climb the corporate ladder. "Is that what you think?" asked Owen. "No," said Jackie, admitting Owen was "very attractive." Owen wouldn't be deterred and started taking off his shirt.
Katie and Donna stopped by to see Brooke post exercise class. They both sensed something was wrong. "It's about Rick, isn't it?" asked Donna. Brooke admitted the whole situation was complicated. Rick was in love with Steffy,
and she was in love with her husband, which was causing lots of tension. Brooke lamented how Phoebe's death affected everything.
Ridge met Taylor at Il Giardino and surprised her with two visitors: Thomas and James. Taylor asked how Thomas was doing in therapy. Thomas said he was less enraged about watching Rick pick off the women in his family one by one. Ridge noted he was now in Thomas's position, since Taylor and Steffy couldn't see what a manipulator Rick was. Thomas urged Ridge not to let Rick win. Ridge promised he and Taylor would do everything to protect Steffy from Rick. After Thomas and James left, Ridge said he couldn't let this marriage happen and that Brooke had to be more active in stopping it. Then, Ridge had an epiphany: Steffy needed to hear how Rick talked to Ridge. Before Ridge and Taylor parted ways, Taylor admitted the happiest part of her life had
been with Ridge. If things didn't work out for him and Brooke, Taylor assured Ridge he was not alone. She would be there for him.
Thursday
Ridge warily entered his and Brooke's bedroom. She was lingerie-clad, ready to give him a massage...and to ask him to give Rick and Steffy a chance. "No!" declared Ridge. "I am never going to change my mind about this wedding." Brooke realized he was breaking his promise to try and accept things and Ridge explained why. He also wanted Brooke to take her blinders off. At Il Giardino, doubtful Steffy discussed the family drama with Rick. Then Taylor arrived to ask Rick what had happened to him. He told he'd loved her with all his heart and "you dumped me for Ridge." He noted it was payback time. Back at Brooke's she stripped off her peignoir and said she and Ridge could overcome anything. But even her amorous intentions couldn't get his mind off Rick. Alone at Il Giardino, Taylor fantasized that Ridge wanted her back and pulled her into a passionate clinch. Ridge dubbed Rick "poison," saying he hates him. He begged teary Brooke for her help before Rick destroyed them. Elsewhere, Rick tore a photo of them in two.
Stephanie made her umpteenth Il Giardino lunch date of the week with Thorne and Felicia and then told Nick she's "thrilled" to be signing on at Jackie M. They kicked off a staff meeting, but wondered where Jackie was. At Jackie's, Owen took her wisecrack about him taking off his clothes before she did seriously. Soon, he stood before her in his shorts. "Your turn," he noted. "You are a gorgeous young man," she murmured. "Hard to resist." Then,
she sank to her knees...and pulled up his pants, buckling them! Owen was clearly a bit let down by her restraint. "Ugh, self control!" he griped. Nick called to check on Jackie, who breathily said she's feeling "flushed," but had everything she needs in front of her. Steph directed Nick to put Jackie on speakerphone. As Stephanie outlined her plans, Owen gave Jackie a shoulder rub and some kisses. Her aroused murmurings like "too much pressure" and "yes" hilariously went along with all of Stephanie's suggestions. "You think she's coming down with the flu?" Steph wondered when they finally ended the call. Later, Stephanie met Thorne and Felicia at the restaurant to tell them she'd joined Jackie M. They were shocked, but understood the choice. Thorne thought it was priceless that Eric would find out in the press tomorrow.
Friday
The gang at Jackie M got ready for their big fashion show. Donna and Eric were beaming over Bridget's impending success and Eric looked forward to not being "blindsided" like he had been by the last show. Steffy joined them to watch the show on the office TV. At Jackie M, Nick psyched up the team with a rousing speech. Then, they kicked off in a lovely showroom. Jackie welcomed the press and cued up Madame X's fabulous designs. Stephanie, Owen, and Clarke all hovered in the back, busily. After the show, Jackie brought Madame X, Bridget, out of the shadows to accept massive kudos! "That's my girl!" cheered Eric. Jackie noted there was an additional surprise. And what could top a Forrester at Jackie M? "How about TWO Forresters?" she said, bringing "the grand dame of LA fashion," Stephanie out on the runway. Stephanie told the press that Nick and Jackie "offered me a challenge and I accepted it." She then offered a challenge to all young designers out there. Jackie M was looking for young talent and "fresh ideas." "Eat your heart
out, Honey Bear," she winked. Eric was furious! Steffy went off to start damage control as Donna comforted her hubby. Backstage, Owen and Bridget hugged and had A Moment. Then, he kissed a glowing Jackie. Back out by the runway, the whole Jackie M gang reunited to toast to their success. "To the new Jackie M," intoned Stephanie.
Rick dropped by Brooke's bearing wedding announcements and a picture for the paper. He wondered if Brooke and Ridge had been fighting about him again and assured Brooke she's on the right side. At Forrester, Ridge made it clear to
Taylor that they would get Steffy away from Rick. Ridge plotted to get Rick to "shoot his mouth off" and "expose himself." He'd record Rick and capture everything! Alone, Brooke was certain Ridge wouldn't let Rick come between
them. Of course, when Rick showed up at Ridge's office, it quickly degenerated into ugliness. He taunted Ridge about Steffy's wedding dress looking great on the floor and took swipes at a furious Taylor. Unfortunately, Ridge didn't get it on tape! Luckily, he knew there would be more opportunities. Like two seconds later, for instance, when Rick came back for more. Ridge sat back, ready to let Rick dig his own grave. Sure enough, he mentioned naughtily torturing Steffy in the bedroom and admitted how much he hates Ridge. "I own her," he said. "And there's nothing you can do to change that." Ridge just smirked at his laptop recording every word.
