Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of April 14, 2008

Monday

Storm and Ashley left Café Russe flashing back on their respective encounters with Ridge. Ash awkwardly tried to get out of Storm giving her a ride home. Storm ended up hitting the brakes and questioning Ashley about Ridge...and it was incredibly creepy. (Pardon the recapper while she has AMC's Michael Cambias flashbacks....) "Don't let him ruin everything," Storm said of Ridge. Ashley tried to temper the ookiness by laughing things off and then she tried to shoo creepy Storm away from her front door. "It's time to call it a night," she told him, gently. "You don't trust me, do you?" he asked. She kissed him goodnight to prove otherwise (that's going a bit far!) but he wasn't convinced. Ash was very relieved when Ridge called to check on her. As Storm spied on her from outside, he ratcheted the creep factor straight to "stalker."

Jackie accompanied Nick home, going on about the Spectra building and possibly taking the bathtub out of her office. Nick wanted to see results from her company and then he 'fessed up to his women problems. "It's good for the male ego," Jackie cracked. The women in question, meanwhile, were hashing out the whole Katie-kissed-Nick situation. "I never meant to hurt you," insisted Katie, assuring Bridget nothing was going on. "I feel like an idiot." Bridget actually took it fairly well, dubbing Katie's crush "cute."
Downstairs, Nick described Katie to Jackie, who surmised, "You've fallen for the babysitter." "It's complicated," he said. No kidding, considering Katie and Bridget's conversation. "Let's not get catty and bitchy," Bridget sighed, not wanting Katie to get hurt...and not wanting to lose Nick to "Aunt Katie." Later, Bridget came downstairs and found Grandma Jackie ready to spoil Jack with presents. Bridget told Brooke and Nick's biggest cheerleader that she loves Nick. Then, she talked to Nick about Katie kissing him. "I want to keep this light and easy," she told him, admitting hearing about the kiss had hurt her. He apologized for hurting her but looked unsettled by her seriousness. Later, Bridget told Katie that she wasn't going to lose her second shot with Nick to anyone, especially Auntie K.

Brooke found an emotional Ridge in his office and thought he'd gone to Ashley about Storm. "Your secret is safe," Ridge lied to her, before saying Ash and Storm's second date worried the hell out of him. Brooke defended her brother's wacko tendencies yet again, saying Storm was "at a breaking point. He snapped." Ridge accused her of having "tunnel vision." (Not just about Storm, Ridge...) She accused him of being obsessed with Ashley, which he denied.

Tuesday

Beware Logans bearing pistachios.... Katie dropped by with some for Nick, telling him all about her conversation with Bridget. As they snarked and flirted, Brooke appeared. Katie marveled at Brooke's radar before going up to take care of Jack. Brooke questioned Nick about Bridget's whereabouts and Nick tersely pointed out they're just dating, no commitments. Brooke then snuggled baby Jack (transference at its finest) and gave Nick a talking-to about Taylor. She also wanted to spend more time with the baby. "What about the meathead?" wondered Nick. Brooke assured him (read: lieeeed) that Ridge was okay with it. Nick told her that the issue of Jack was between him and Taylor. Brooke, forgetting she has Hope and RJ to worry about, was desperate to be Jack's mother. Katie and Nick shared a "Wow, she's unhinged" look. After Brooke left, Katie gasped, "Ridge would split a gut!" When she asked Nick if Brooke coming to him months ago with this same desire would've been his dream come true, Nick was literally saved by the bell.

As an insomniac and paranoid Taylor paced the floors, Rick dropped by with papers, hoping they'd lift her mood. Taylor goggled at the forms that Rick had drafted: They would neutralize Brooke and help Taylor win custody of Jack if Nick agreed to sign them. Rick was hopeful that Nick would. They headed over to Casa Marone to ask Nick to help them circumvent Brooke. Nick summarized the papers for the viewers at home: They'd reinstate Taylor's half of joint custody. However, since a belligerent Nick hadn't originated the forms, he didn't want to sign them! Taylor made her own passionate pitch, explaining that she and Rick weren't a perverted relationship and it was Nick himself who'd stressed that she is Jack's mother. When Nick remained silent, Rick stepped back in (tag team!), imploring him to do the right thing.

Ashley told Ridge all about her creepy date with Storm, thanking him for the heads up. "As far as I'm concerned, we're done," she said, noting she couldn't say the same for Storm. She told Ridge about Storm driving her home and lingering on the doorstep...and leaving her three voicemails this morning. Eek. Ridge asked Ash to keep Steph's shooting to herself. "Why the hell isn't Storm in jail?" boggled Ash. Ridge explained Stephanie and Brooke's deal and Ashley's jaw practically dropped. She couldn't believe Steph hadn't used this ammunition. "Are you sure she's feeling okay?" she asked Ridge. "If somebody shot me, I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut." Despite the wisecracks, Ashley gave Ridge her word she'd stay mum. They then reiterated that Storm is nuts and she is to give him a wide berth.

Wednesday

Rick wound up his plea for Nick to sign the custody papers but Nick needed time to think. Katie threw her two cents in, asking Taylor and Rick not to pressure her pal. Still, Taylor and Rick didn't relent. When Katie put two more cents in, Taylor got ruffled. "Who are you to judge me?" she gasped. Nick interrupted the tangle, reminding them all that Jack's life was up to *him.* "Then do it," Rick said of Nick making a decision. Nick still had to mull it over, so cue Rick and Taylor pacing and wondering what Katie was saying to Nick. As Nick read over the papers in some grandpa glasses, Katie mentioned how Rick and Taylor gave her the "heebie-jeebies" and said he shouldn't sign the forms if he had doubts. After confiding in Katie, Nick went back to talk to Taylor. He pointed out Taylor had walked out on him and his son. "Just say you're not signing it," sighed Taylor, brokenly. "I don't want to hurt you," Nick countered, looking like he was bending. Of course, Rick burst in again, declaring his love and saying they'd get Jack back. He tore up the papers and said that if Nick wanted a war, they'd win it!

As Donna and Eric wandered into his office, making plans, Pam quickly finished fiddling with Eric's phone and went back to her desk. There, she found Thorne and Felicia enjoying her lemon bars. Thorne also admired how well-behaved Tony is before he and his girlfriend, er, sister, took more lemon bars and hit the road. That left Pam free to listen in on Donna and Eric canoodling...and then discussing how Eric had "zonked out" during their jungle love session. "Maybe I just don't turn you on anymore?" Donna bemoaned as Pam crowed. As Donna stormed past, Pam warned Tiny not to eat her lemon bars and needled her rival. As the two traded barbs, Tiny growled at Donna. Later, Pam pleaded with Eric to "give Steph one more chance," but Eric wasn't having it. In the hall, Donna snuck back to Pam's desk for lemon bars and when Tiny growled again, she left the cover off the dish and tossed the treats at him to get him to calm down. When Pam came outside, she found Tiny in distress (Huh. We knew chocolate was bad for dogs, but lemon bars?).

Thursday

Nick stared at the torn pieces of the custody form, telling Katie he hated "what this is doing to Taylor." Of course, Katie had to tell Nick he'd done the right thing by not signing. Meanwhile, Rick and Taylor came home and shirtless Rick tried to boost Taylor's spirits by suggesting they go swimming, and just being generally supportive. Katie wasn't exactly trying the same tactic with Nick; she suggested he hold on to full custody until Taylor was ready. "All you need is a chance to prove yourself," Rick beamed at Taylor, amorously. "Jack needs a mother," Nick reminded Katie, who countered that Jack's two current mommies "have issues." As Katie cuddled chubby little Jack (aw!), it was clear she was in line to be mommy no. 3. Their voices grew softer and they made the obligatory googly eyes. Much like Rick and Taylor at that moment, actually! They traded "I love you"s and kisses. "Will you put some clothes on?" Taylor asked. "Will you take some clothes OFF?" Rick countered, wanting to make love to her so badly he was "bursting at the seams." (TMI, Rick!) Taylor nixed his burgeoning passion. Sort of. Back at the Marone Manse, Katie romantically sang Nick's praises and took his hand.

"For crying out loud, let's just do it and get it over with," Felicia told Thorne (we're not even KIDDING). No, they weren't talking about sex, they were talking about sniffing Ashley's new perfume. When Donna joined them, what they smelled instead was Tiny getting sick on the floor. Thorne called the janitor and said they had to get Tiny out of the building. Pam blasted Donna for doing this to "my baby." Donna told her to admit what she'd done first and denied poisoning the pup. She'd innocently tossed Tiny some lemon bars to shut him up. "How can you be so cruel?" Pam bemoaned, adding that now their feud was "personal." Back in the hall, Tiny's fate was considerably worse and Pam lashed out at Donna in front of Thorne and his girlfriend, er, sister. Tiny refused to wake up. Aw!

Friday

Felicia kept the doggie doctor on the line as he rushed to the Forrester
offices. Poor Tiny was out cold and Pam made no bones about the fact that it
was thanks to Donna. Felicia comforted her aunt as Thorne and the vet
arrived from examining Tiny. Turns out, the Doberman had a heart condition
(Cardiomyopathy, just like GL's Olivia. Hmmm). "I'm sorry," said the vet as
Pam started weeping over the loss of her best friend. "You, you killed my
Tiny!" Pam accused Donna. "I am truly sorry," Donna murmured, not wanting to
fight. But Pam accused Donna of poisoning the pup, refusing to admit it was skipped medication that might have led to Tiny's sudden illness. She would
never forgive Donna for this.

Nick and Katie's close moment was interrupted by the doorbell. He got
served! Okay, no he didn't. It was a copy of Taylor's psychiatric records.
At Taylor's, she was still bummed, but don't worry: Rick was now dressed.
(Fortunate for the messenger who arrived with Taylor's psych report, don'tcha
think?) Per Taylor's shrink, she was perfectly stable. Nick wondered what
this was going to mean at the hearing tomorrow. Katie mentioned Brooke's
reaction and, like Candyman, she appeared! Oddly enough, Brooke and Taylor
had similar less-than-enthusiastic reactions to the report. Except for the
part where Brooke wanted to know why the shrink didn't have the same
diagnosis of the crazies that she had. Nick defended Taylor in the face of
Brooke's rantings. Taylor bucked up and thanked Rick for his support. "What
are you suggesting exactly? That I share custody with you?" Nick asked
Brooke. He scoffed, noting Ridge would be out the door. Brooke kept
hammering in her claim on Jack. Nick tried to talk Brooke down and Katie
pointed out Brooke had stopped thinking of Taylor as the baby's mother.
Neither effort worked. Brooke believed she was right. Meanwhile, Taylor and
Rick discussed their relationship and tried to find a label for it. Rick
impulsively sank to one knee. "I want you to be my wife," he said. "Will you
marry me?" (Has anyone given HIM a psych evaluation?) "Say yes," he urged a
gobsmacked Taylor.
