Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of January 28, 2008

Monday

"You're really trying my patience," Stephanie warned Donna, who claimed she
tried to dump Eric but he refused to accept it. La Forrester threatened to
call the police and Donna tried to call her bluff, but Steph ordered her to
end her relationship with Eric or else Storm goes to jail.

Nick was elated when Dr. James Warwick showed up at Spectra. "I thought you
weren't coming in until tomorrow?" said a surprised Nick but James said that
Marone's request for help sounded urgent so he jumped on the next "redeye."
Nick explained how Brooke was the biological mother of his and Taylor's son
and she was having a very difficult time dealing with that fact. Nick did
mention that Taylor seemed to have "turned a corner" recently and her mood
was more upbeat. James asked if Taylor was drinking again — Nick assured
she wasn't.

As Taylor continued to drown her sorrows with booze, Rick suddenly showed up
for a visit. He explained that he didn't think she would "be truly happy"
raising Nick and Brooke's child. Rick suggested that Taylor get out now
since her husband would eventually end up with Brooke. Taylor accused Rick
of trying to get rid of Ridge by reuniting Brooke with Nick. "I'm worried
about you," Rick noted. Taylor asked him to go. As he was leaving, Rick
noticed an almost empty bottle of liquor and asked her if she was drinking.
Taylor admitted she had a "tiny cocktail" and asked him not to create any
more problems for her. "I'm not going to promise you that," declared Rick
and he walked out with the bottle in hand as Taylor yelled after him.

Katie dropped off some marketing proposals for Eric then realized during
their conversation that Donna had not yet broken up with him yet. After Eric
left, Katie called Donna and urged her sister to "end things with Eric once
and for all."

Eric returned to his hotel room and a tearful Donna confessed that Stephanie
was blackmailing her into breaking up with him. When Eric asked why, Donna
explained that Storm was the one who shot Stephanie.

Tuesday

Katie assured Stephanie that Donna would break up with Eric. Stephanie
reminded that if it didn't happen, Storm was going to jail. Katie said that
Donna would do "what's right for the family." After Stephanie left, Katie
decided to check up on her sister.

"My God!" exclaimed Eric. "You're telling me Storm is the person who shot
Stephanie?" Donna explained to her incredulous boyfriend how Stephanie was
blackmailing her with the info. When Eric heard how Storm planned the
shooting, Forrester yelled, "We have to call the police!" Donna begged Eric
to understand that Storm had been pushed over the edge by Stephanie, who was
now blackmailing Donna. "In order to keep my brother out of jail, I had to
close the door on you forever," Donna detailed and Eric started getting
steamed at his wife's machinations. "I think we can beat her at her own
game," Eric suggested and then plotted to make Stephanie think he and Donna
had broken up. He wanted to start by firing Donna from Forrester Creations
and then move back home but he assured Donna he wouldn't share a bed with
Stephanie. His plan was to convince Stephanie that their marriage was an
empty shell and then she would hopefully let him go.

Nick came home and was happy to find Taylor in a good mood. Nick announced
that he called for some extra support and James walked in. Taylor was
excited to see her former mentor and threw her arms around him. She then
brought Jack down for a visit and James revealed that he knew Brooke was the
biological mother. Taylor's mood darkened and Nick left them alone. James
asked how Taylor was dealing with the fact that Brooke is connected to Jack.
"I'm doing great," Taylor lied. "I've got everything under control."

Stephanie was shocked when Eric showed up at her house. He said that Donna
confessed that she was using him. "I should have listened to you all along,"
Eric lamented.

Wednesday

Eric pretended to be contrite about his affair and Stephanie fell for it.
"Is there a chance that we can start over again?" Steph asked and Eric was
surprised that she would give him another chance after everything he's put
her though. Eric admitted that Stephanie was right about Donna and that he
caught her in bed with another man. "I've been an absolute fool," he
lamented. Steph welcomed him back home and she hungrily kissed him.

At Spectra, Nick couldn't stop thinking about Brooke. Meanwhile, Rick
visited Taylor again and she asked if he blabbed anything about her drinking
slipup. "Why is everybody judging me?" she whined, then accused Rick of
trying to engineer a reconciliation between Nick and Brooke. Rick pointed
out that he is concerned for Taylor but she lied that she only had one
little drink. Rick assured her that he didn't want to cause her any trouble
and urged Taylor to call him any time she needs someone to talk. "Thank
you," said a grateful Taylor and they hugged. Nick showed up but was
surprised when Taylor wanted to invite Ridge and Brooke to dinner for the
next night. "This is going to be a very special surprise," Taylor predicted.

Katie checked on Donna and assumed that she had broken up with Eric. "You
did the right thing," Katie assured but Donna admitted that she told Eric
the whole truth about Stephanie's blackmail. Katie became upset and Donna
explained that Eric was telling Stephanie that the relationship was over.
Katie still fretted that Steph would find out the truth and the situation
would get worse than before. Donna then called Stephanie for confirmation.
"You kept your part of the bargain I'm going to keep mine," Stephanie
growled and hung up. Donna was elated that the ruse worked. Eric then called
and they affirmed their love to each other.

Thursday

Brooke told Ridge that she was dubious about Taylor's reason for having them
over to dinner but he wanted to remain upbeat. "It would be best for
everyone if we could get along," Ridge pointed out and recommended that they
go with a positive attitude. After he left, Nick showed up and said he
wouldn't blame Brooke if she didn't want to come to dinner but she assured
that she and Ridge wouldn't miss it. "Taylor is up to something," Brooke
surmised but Nick didn't think so.

Ashley visited Taylor, who asked Ms. Abbott to be Jack's godmother. "Why
me?" wondered Ash and Taylor explained that she felt a kinship with her.
Ashley accepted but was surprised to hear that Taylor was having Brooke and
Ridge over for dinner. "Let's just say that after tonight, Nick and I will
be able to live our lives in peace." Taylor crowed. Once Ashley departed,
Nick came home and found Taylor cheerily setting the table.

Ashley and Rick confirmed that they each knew about Brooke's connection to
Nick and Taylor's son. Rick was surprised to hear that Taylor was
entertaining Brooke and Ridge for dinner.

Taylor, Nick, Brooke and Ridge got dressed up and converged at the Marone
house. Taylor thanked her guests for coming. "Tonight is the start of
something wonderful," she enthused. They sat down for dinner and Taylor
confessed that she was filled with anger and wanted to get past it. She
thanked Brooke for giving them Jack, then announced that she planned a
special surprise that will "change all of our lives." The doorbell rang and
Taylor welcomed in her new guest: a preacher. Mrs. Marone then announced
that the minister was here to marry Brooke and Ridge.

Friday

Brooke was taken aback by Taylor's wedding surprise. "Are you really serious
about this?" asked an incredulous Brooke, but Ridge thought it was a great
idea and wanted to go though with it. Brooke asked to talk with Ridge in
private, then told him that getting married at Taylor's whim is a
ridiculous idea. "I thought you wanted to marry me?" Ridge posed. Brooke
assured her fiancé that she indeed wanted to be his wife but she wanted
their wedding "to be special." Ridge still wanted to exchange vows. "Let's
get married now!" he enthused — Brooke said the last place she wanted to
get marry in is Taylor's living room. Despite Brooke's argument, Ridge
pushed for them to tie the knot to "make a statement" and quell Taylor's
insecurities.

Ashley assured Rick that she is moving on from Ridge which irked Rick that his
mother was ending up with the man. Ashley then asked Rick if they could try
again with their own romance. "I waited a long time to hear those words,"
said a surprised Rick but admitted he was a little gun shy. Ashley then
pulled him into a passionate kiss. He pulled away and asked if he could
have some time to think about another chance.

Nick questioned Taylor's motives for the wedding ambush — she insisted she was doing if out of the goodness of her heart. When she observed her husband's disapproval, she asked why he didn't want to see Brooke married.
Nick pointed out that Brooke and Ridge are none of their business but Taylor
explained that she wanted to provide a stable home for R.J. by getting his
parents married. Ridge and Brooke emerged from the other room and she
declined Taylor's offer. When Mrs. Marone kept pushing, a fed-up Brooke
accused Taylor of trying to get her out of the way. Taylor then tearfully
admitted that Brooke haunted every corner of Taylor's life and begged Ms.
Logan to marry Ridge.
