B&B Week of June 16, 2008
Monday
Steffy snitched to Ridge, Thorne and Felicia that there was never a
background check done on Marcus when he was hired. Marcus walked in and immediately sensed tension and asked if there was a problem. Ridge dodged the question and they were interrupted by a call asking Marcus to report to Donna and Brooke. After Marcus left, Thorne wondered why the Logan girls wanted to see Marcus. Steffy suggested they do a credit check on Marcus and Ridge explained to his daughter that this wasn't a witch hunt but it is important they keep an eye on Donna.
Donna confessed to Brooke that she had given birth to a baby boy while she was in high school. Brooke was then shocked when Donna announced that her son is now working at Forrester. When Marcus walked in, Brooke snapped that they were busy so Donna had to reveal that this is her son. Brooke apologized for her rude behavior but he assured that he realized all the recent challenges that had been besetting her family. A smiling Brooke pointed out that they were all family now.
Katie expressed her eternal gratitude to Bridget for saving her life. "I
love you, Katie," Bridget smiled. "I would've never given up." Meanwhile,
Jackie listened as Nick marveled about Katie's strength and Bridget's
tenacity. Bridget came downstairs and announced that Katie is getting
stronger by the minute and could receive visitors. After Nick rushed
upstairs, Bridget could tell something was on Jackie's mind and asked Ms.
Marone to come clean.
Nick was thrilled to see Katie looking healthier. She looked over at her
prom dress hanging nearby and rhapsodized about the magic Nick brought to her life. "I love you," she gushed to a stunned Nick. "And I don't care who hears it."
Tuesday
After declaring her love to Nick, Katie reaffirmed, "It's the truth." Nick
was stunned by the admission and Katie pointed out that she had felt
something mutually brewing between them "for a long time." Before Nick could
respond, Bridget swept in and interrupted their conversation. Nick left the
room so Bridget could give her patient a check up. Katie started tearing up
and thanked her niece for saving her life. Nick returned with Jack in his
arms and Katie was thrilled to hold him. After Bridget took Jack out of the
room, Katie acknowledged her love for Bridget. "If I ever hurt her, I would
never forgive myself," Katie stated. "I will not let that beautiful,
brilliant woman feel like a fool." Katie vowed never to come between Nick
and Bridget. He kissed her hand and reluctantly left.
Marcus was touched when Brooke called his appearance in their lives "a
miracle." However, Brooke urged Donna to come clean just as Eric walked in.
"Is there something I should know?" he asked but Donna covered by praising
Marcus's work performance. Eric then asked the young man's opinion on his
sketches and while the guys chatted, Brooke pushed her sister to be be
honest with Eric. After he left, Donna was overjoyed over how Marcus and her
husband got along. "I can't wait to tell him you're my son," she squealed,
then promised, "It won't be long."
Ridge was determined to find a connection between Marcus and Donna but
Thorne reported that everything Marcus put on his application checked out.
Felicia was still suspicious and told Thorne and Steffy to follow her. The
troop came back with Marcus's backpack that they got from his locker.
Felicia was disappointed when nothing incriminating could be found. After
she, Ridge and Thorne left the room, Steffy discovered another pocket in the
backpack. She then found Marcus's birth certificate. "Marcus isn't Donna's
spy, he's Donna's son," she realized. When she turned around Marcus was
standing in the doorway.

Wednesday
"What the hell are you doing in my stuff?" demanded Marcus.Steffy asked
if it was true that he is Donna's son. Marcus said it wasn't her "damn
business" and Steffy apologized for going through his personal belongings.
Marcus confessed that Donna is his mother and that she gave him up for
adoption. Marcus also explained that Donna wanted the Forresters to get to
know him before revealing his true identity. "But I guess that will all blow
up once you go tell your dad," he lamented. Steffy countered with, "What
makes you think I'm going to tell?" She assured that his secret was safe
and Marcus asked her out to dinner. Steff coyly said she would think about
it.
Katie and Brooke both strongly advised Donna to tell Eric the truth about
Marcus. Brooke also pointed out that keeping the secret could compromise her
relationship with Ridge. Brooke could tell that something was bothering
Katie, who admitted that it was strange that they haven't heard from their
mother for quite a while. "What's wrong with her?" Katie queried. "It
doesn't
make any sense."
Jackie told Nick it was obvious that Katie was "madly in love with you" then
asked her son how he felt about her. Nick tried to dodge the question by
reminding his mother that he and Bridget are raising Jack together. Nick
went upstairs and overheard Katie complaining to her sisters about their
absentee mother. After Brooke and Donna left, Nick let Katie know what he
heard and suggested she reach out to her mom. Katie called Beth, who seemed
almost blas about hearing from her daughter. After some small talk, Katie
asked if Beth could come for a visit. Beth suddenly said she had to go and
hung up. Katie became distraught and Nick embraced her. "I need her," she
sobbed. Once he was out of the room, Nick arranged to have his private jet
prepped for a trip to Paris to track down Beth. Meanwhile, Beth forlornly
looked at at photo of her family.
Thursday
Jackie tagged along with Nick on his private jet and questioned his plan to
drop in unannounced on Beth. Nick explained that Beth's recent behavior has
the Logans baffled. "Something's going on," he noted. "It's like the real
Beth Logan has disappeared." Jackie wondered why Nick is taking matter into
his own hands instead of Brooke. Nick revealed that none of the Logans know
he's heading to Paris. Jackie pointed out that her son obviously has
feelings for Katie which caused him to flashback about Katie. Once they
landed in Paris, Nick headed to Beth's apartment, where she claimed she
was too busy to talk. Nick refused to leave and demanded to know why Beth
has stayed away from her daughters. "I've come a long way for one thing, the
truth," Nick said firmly. "I'm not going anywhere until I get it."
At the new outdoor gym/smoothie bar at Forrester Creations, Marcus met Rick.
Ridge and Brooke showed up so she could share her exasperation about Beth.
Brooke informed Ridge that she was going to fly to Paris and investigate
what's going on with her mother. After Brooke left, Marcus listened to Ridge
and Rick argue about the push to force Eric out of the company because of
his marriage. "Donna is an albatross," Ridge declared. "She doesn't care
about Forrester Creations." Rick tried to defend his aunt, but Ridge was
resolute in finding out whatever secret Donna is hiding. (Close-up on
Marcus's concerned expression.) Before leaving, Ridge warned Marcus not to
get too close to Donna.
Katie continued to be troubled by her mother's indifference. Brooke showed
up to comfort her sister, but Katie couldn't be appeased. Brooke
changed the subject by asking if Katie enjoyed her prom night with Nick. She
lit up momentarily then started sulking again about their mother.
Friday
"What is it going to take to get Beth Logan to come home?" asked Nick but
Beth got flustered by his questioning and left for "an appointment." Nick
then summoned Stephen and asked what's going on with his ex-wife. Stephen
explained that Beth seems to becoming more and more disconnected from her
kids but he doesn't know why. Nick insisted he wasn't leaving until he got
some answers. Beth later returned and was upset Nick was still waiting for
her. "Your son is dead, your daughter almost died and she needs you," Nick
reminded. "What are you going to do about that?" He then challenged Beth to
come back to L.A. with him but she continued to stonewall him. She picked up
and stared longingly at a photo of Katie as a little girl. "Come with me,
Beth," he urged and she seemed moved by his plea.
Marcus and Steffy showed up at the Bikini Beach caf for their date. Marcus
reiterated how much her dad hates his mom. Steffy didn't want to discuss
parents. He then explained how he wanted to play college basketball, but the
closest he got to that dream was selling "chili dogs" at the games. Steffy
copped to loving life in London because she was away from Phoebe, who she
called the "pretty one."
Katie urged Bridget to ask Nick to marry her. Bridget acknowledged that the
obvious connection between Katie and Nick and that's why she pushed Nick to
spend more time with Katie. "I fell for him hard," Katie confessed, would
never act on those feelings because, "I value you and your friendship."
Katie wanted to move out and Bridget insisted that her aunt stay. "I never
felt so loved as I do here," Katie admitted then whine about her mother
staying out of touch for so long. Katie wondered if Beth blamed her for
Storm's death, then broke down in tears.
