Monday
The Forrester Creations fashion show was underway and the crowd enthusiastically applauded as the models strolled down the catwalk. Donna, who was backstage primping for the finale, received a showy box of chocolates, which turned out to be from Eric. She planted a big kiss on him.
At the Marone offices, Jackie ranted to Nick that Stephanie kicked her out of the show. They grumbled about how Nick sold the company back to Eric on the condition that Stephanie would have no part in it. Clarke observed that they'd regret crossing Nick.
As Phoebe strutted down the runway, Stephen squirmed in his seat, looking around for Stephanie, who was backstage talking smack to Donna. She urged her young rival not to take the stage, arguing that Donna would make Eric look bad. Her browbeating was interrupted by Stephen, who warned La Forrester to get lost.
Katie vented to Throne about the feuding between her father and his mother.... Eric peeked at the show from behind the curtain and flashed back to sharing past fashion shows with La Forrester.... Stephanie complained to Thorne and Felicia that there was no reasoning with Donna, she suggested they go to "Plan B." ... Donna found Eric and happily reported that orders were already being placed on the fashions. After another smooch, Donna went to fix her lipstick. Felicia gasped that there was chocolate on the back of the model's dress. She pushed Donna toward Thorne, who said that the dress needed to be steamed. Felicia cackled as Thorne tossed his former fiancée over his shoulder and forced her into the steam room. Donna sobbed and banged on the window as they locked her inside, crowing that they were doing it for the good of the company.
Jackie and Nick arrived at the show in time for the grand finale. As Eric introduced his muse, inspiration and the "love of [his] life," Felicia and Thorne persuaded Stephanie to go out. Eric was stunned to see Stephanie enter to thunderous applause.
Tuesday
Backstage after the fashion show, Eric demanded that Stephanie tell him
where Donna is....
Brooke fretted to Ridge about her sister's whereabouts, suspecting his
mother was behind the disappearance. Storm and Katie followed Stephen as he
searched for his daughter, who unbeknownst to him was banging on the door to
the steam room.
Eric's questioning of Stephanie was interrupted by Felicia and Thorne, who
admitted to stashing Donna in the steam room. As it turned out, Jake was the
first one to happen upon Donna. He released her before Eric rushed in to
find the steam room empty. Eric chewed out his children over their callous
attitude.
A bedraggled Donna, with mascara smudged all over her face, made her way to
the Forrester office where she found her sisters, brother and father. Donna
wanted to make it to the fashion show, but Brooke explained that it was
over. Donna asked or details about Eric's loving speech, but was crestfallen
to hear from Storm that Stephanie took to the stage, leading the audience to
think she was the subject of the loving declaration. Katie opened a drawer
in order to give her sis a tissue and spotted a handgun.
After getting told off by Nick, Stephanie was waiting in the showroom for
Eric when Brooke arrived and gave her nemesis a dressing down. "It ends
tonight," spat Brooke before turning on her heel. Katie ran into Thorne and
gave him the business over the way he treated her sis.... Ridge was sort of
stern with Thorne and Felicia, but not really. He joined them as they went
to talk to Eric, agreeing that declaring his love for Donna would have been
a PR fiasco.
Eric went into his office where he spotted Donna, who looked a fright with
her wilted hair, smudged makeup and ruined dress. She cried that she had
wanted to be beautiful for him. He lovingly reassured Donna with kisses. She
said that she could forgive Thorne and Felicia if Eric asked it of her, but
not Stephanie. At that moment, Jake was frosty to Stephanie over the dirty
trick. Stephen strolled in and pointed out that nobody cares about La
Forrester any longer. He warned that he wasn't done yet with Stephanie and
sauntered off. Next up came Donna, who — like everyone else — wanted to give
Stephanie a piece of her mind. Stephanie argued that Eric needed to be saved
from his "free spirit," stating that it's "part of the contract. He needs me
and he knows it." Donna retorted that Eric might leave her, but wouldn't go
back to Stephanie.
Still awaiting Eric, Stephanie paced the catwalk. She turned out the lights
and heard a creaking noise. Someone pointed a gun at Stephanie, who
staggered off the runway.
Wednesday
Storm called the police to file charges against those who kidnapped Donna.
He then found an agitated Brooke in her office and she railed against
Stephanie's treatment of Donna.
While searching for Donna, Eric heard a noise that sounded like a gunshot.
He came across Katie and asked if she heard anything. Katie was acting weird
and claimed she didn't hear a thing. Eric asked if she was all right but
Katie seemed very distracted (or maybe even in shock).
Donna found Stephanie laying face down and turned her over. Donna was
shocked to see that Stephanie was covered in blood and screamed. Stephanie
came to long enough, saw Donna's face and passed out again. Eric entered the
showroom and called for an ambulance. "What in God's name have you done?"
Eric bellowed to Donna, who said she found Stephanie unconscious. News of
the shooting spread through the building and Brooke, Storm, Stephen, Thorne
and Felicia converged in the showroom (Nick showed up a little later). A
hysterical Felicia blamed Donna and attacked her. Stephen sneered that it's
just like the Forresters to blame a Logan. Lt. Baker arrived and said no one
could leave until he conducts tests for gun powder on everyone's hands.
Stephen admitted that there was "no one I hated more" than Stephanie
Forrester. Lt. Baker and his cop son Charlie questioned the Logans, who all
claimed they had nothing to hide.
As the Forrester Creations security locked down the building, a guard
spotted Jackie and called out for her to stop but she ran out the front
door. Ms. Marone rushed back to Spectra and excitedly told Clarke that no
one messes with her, not even "Stephanie, bloody Forrester." Jackie then
hurriedly packed her things and Clarke asked when she would be back. "I
haven't the foggiest," Jackie exclaimed and rushed out the door.
At the hospital, Bridget examined Stephanie while Eric, Thorne and Felicia
anxiously waited. "She's going to be fine," Felicia sobbed. Bridget came out
and said that Stephanie was stable enough to go into surgery to have the
bullet removed. The three Forresters gathered around their fallen matriarch
and rallied for her to hang on. "Don't you let everything we have together
end like this," Eric begged. When he kissed his wife on the forehead,
Stephanie suddenly opened her eyes and struggled to talk.
