Monday

A devastated Rick kept repeating "I'm paralyzed," as Bridget urged his doctor to do anything he could. As Ridge approached the bed, stricken, Brooke gave him a glare. Bitter Rick laid it out for everyone: "I am paralyzed; I am an invalid." (Don't do shots every time he says the 'p' word.) Bridget tried to assure him the condition could be temporary. When Ridge tried to share his sympathy, Rick loosed his venom on Ridge, blaming him for his fall, for his and Bridget's suffering over the years, etc. "Stop pretending that you care," he hissed at his half-brother over Bridget's protests, citing how Ridge had torpedoed his relationships with Ashley, Phoebe and Taylor. "You will not take another damn thing away from me," he vowed, whispering, "Get the hell out." Alone, Rick flashed back on his many losses, pounded on his legs and wept. Out in the hall, Bridget told Ridge and Brooke that Rick would likely be okay once the swelling around his spinal cord subsided. Ridge begged Brooke to believe he wouldn't intentionally hurt her son. "The three of us will get together and work through this," Brooke promised. Later, Brooke came to see a bummed out Rick, but he couldn't share her "Pollyanna attitude." He petulantly said he needed her more than Ridge does, and needs her to put him first. "Let Taylor have him; they deserve each other," he said of Ridge, begging Brooke to honor one request: "Get Ridge out of our lives."

Eric and a tearful Donna rehashed the whole Pam saga and Eric praised Donna's bravery. But then Eric told Donna that scar tissue from a childhood injury may have caused Pam to snap. Donna didn't buy that for a second. She insisted Steph was just trying to keep her sis out of jail. Eric assured her this was different from the time Stephanie faked her heart attack. Donna made tracks for the hospital. There, Stephanie awaited word on her sister's condition. Donna stormed in and accused Stephanie of orchestrating this whole thing to get Pam off, swearing she wouldn't rest until Pam was behind bars. When Pam's doctor came back, she said Pam would be transferred to a state-run facility, explaining that a large mass had indeed caused Pam's behavior. Donna was flummoxed. When they all went in to visit Pam, she was clearly bewildered, asking who was caring for Tiny. Stephanie gently explained Tiny died and Pam just couldn't understand. Unsympathetic Donna applauded her performance, naming off her litany of crimes. Pam wept, asking for her dog.

Tuesday

Rick continued to rail against Ridge marrying his mom. Brooke explained she still intended to marry Ridge, contending Ridge hadn't meant to hurt him.
"Can't you see he's got you paralyzed, too?" demanded Rick. He told Brooke that if she didn't cut Ridge out of her life, he'd cut her out. Brooke kissed his cheek and headed for the door, clearly torn. As Rick again remembered going splat, Taylor popped by to see him. "I do still care," the shrink reminded him. Rick dubbed Ridge a "loser," scoffing about what Ridge had done to him and his hold on Taylor and Brooke. He claimed Taylor had walked out on the best thing that had ever happened to her (him), and for what? Snarly, self-pitying Rick booted an apologetic Taylor out, only to have Steffy take her place. He bitterly told Steffy that her father is the love of Taylor's life. Steffy could barely contain the "Yay! My parents will reunite!" glint in her eye. Back at home, Ridge asked Brooke how Rick is doing and reminded Brooke of their commitment to their whole family.
"Nothing's going to stop our wedding," he said. Later, Brooke came to see Taylor. Cue the obligatory arguing. Brooke blamed Taylor for Rick's condition, saying emphatically, "This. Is. War."

Donna insisted Pam's condition was an act, "all part of her plan." Stephanie insisted Pam wasn't responsible for what she'd done. Donna hoped Eric agreed with her. "Pam is a menace," she reminded, asking Eric not to let Steph "sweep this under the rug." Alone, Stephanie told Eric that she's worried about Pam receiving treatment and that Ann was coming to take Pam to a facility in Chicago. But that could only happen if Eric and Donna didn't press charges. Eric tried to explain this to Donna, saying "Pam is no longer a threat," but Donna just wasn't having it. Ann (Hi, Betty White!) soon arrived and got caught up on her younger daughter's condition. Stephanie updated Eric, noting that Pam's biopsy had come back cancer-free. Ann, meanwhile, told Donna that "Pam is my baby," and refused to let her be put in jail or a state hospital. Donna wouldn't budge, so Eric tried again, reminding her of how the Logans had asked for compassion for Storm. Eventually, Donna caved. Stephanie and Ann thanked her, and Eric comforted her with a hug. In Pam's room, Ann reassured her daughter that Donna and Eric wouldn't be pressing charges, and she was thankful! Alone, Pam begged Donna for forgiveness, saying she couldn't "bear it" if Donna didn't give it to her. "Bear it?" Donna echoed, coldly.

Wednesday

As if baby Jack isn't confused enough about the women in his life, Katie got a full report from his babysitter, the next door neighbor. The babysitter called the tot Katie's son. Katie corrected the error, saying, "I love him just as if he were my own." Nick came home to Katie and cutie pie Jack bonding, hearing Katie say she wished she were his mom. Nick gently reminded Katie that Jack needs to spend time with his birth mom.

Taylor and Brooke traded blame over Rick's condition. Taylor insisted she wasn't stringing Rick along. "He propped you up," accused Brooke, railing until she hit below the belt: "I guess I should be happy he's not lying dead in a ditch like Darla." Taylor admitted she'd made mistakes by turning to alcohol and men, but then reminded Brooke of how she'd ditched Eric for Ridge. Doc Taylor talked about Rick's Mommy issues and why he likes older women. (Oooh, buuuurn.) "I'm done playing fair with you," warned Taylor, accepting Brooke's challenge of war. "I'm taking back my territory," she said. "I'm taking back my husband." Brooke insisted nothing would stop her wedding. Taylor warned Brooke that she'd changed and wasn't the sweet goody-two shoes she'd once been. Smug Taylor was sure Ridge would come back to her. "Knock yourself out," scoffed Brooke. Taylor remained firm, saying there was nothing Brooke could do to stop her.

Eric sat at Rick's bedside, assuring him they would find the best specialists for him. Rick made sure to remind Eric that "I am paralyzed because of Ridge." Elsewhere, Ridge shared recent events with Stephanie, insisting the fall wasn't his fault. Steph updated Ridge about Aunt Pam and then cried a "Hallelujah" hearing that Taylor still loves him. Eric, appalled, insisted Ridge's actions had been an accident. Rick cited getting punched in the face in Sydney, saying Ridge's arrogance was out of control. "You're in a bad place right now," observed a compassionate Eric. Rick kept trash-talking his brother, citing the Taylor-Brooke rivalry and insisting Ridge was at fault. Meanwhile, Stephanie took out her Team Taylor pom-poms, reminding Ridge he could have a life and family with his ex.

Thursday

Bridget hovered over Rick, urging him to take his pain medication. Rick's doctor said he was concerned about the spinal cord swelling but "you have every reason to have hope." He definitely had reason to hope when had a little feeling in his toes! "The glass is half full," beamed Brooke as Rick learned he's ready for release. Brooke would take him home and spoil him rotten! Rick, however, wasn't thrilled about sharing space with Ridge and went on one of his anti-Ridge tears. Brooke went home to update Ridge, who wanted some time to resolve differences with Rick. Brooke was touched over Ridge's openness about both Rick and Jack, but admitted Rick didn't want Ridge at the house. Brooke reassured Ridge that their wedding would happen and kissed him.

Nick and Katie dropped by Ridge and Brooke's to get Jack and Nick wondered why Ridge wasn't at the hospital. Nick took potshots at Ridge about Rick's fall. Katie and Nick were shocked to hear Rick and Taylor broke up. "Because she's still got the hots for you!" surmised a smug Nick, accusing Ridge of throwing Rick of a building. Katie took Jack into another room as the guys kept trading snark. Ridge reminded Nick that "nothing and no one" would interfere with Brooke being his wife and Jack being his stepson.

Steffy joyfully reunited with Thomas at Taylor's, where Taylor told them, in no uncertain terms, "I want your father back." Thomas sagely pointed out that Ridge was with Brooke. "That's part of the challenge," admitted Taylor, explaining to the kids and Stephanie how she hadn't fought hard enough for the family. She contended that Ridge deserved more than Brooke could give him and said she needed Thomas and Steffy's help. The kids were a bit skeptical, so Taylor laid it out very shrink-like, citing Brooke as Ridge's "addiction." Thomas was, well, doubting, but Stephanie and Taylor kept making Taylor's case. Stephanie even said she thought Nick and Brooke made a better couple than Brooke/Ridge. "It could be a lot worse for you if it doesn't work out," Thomas warned his mother. Taylor assured him she's stronger now. The kids tentatively threw in their lot with her.

Friday

Ridge helped Brooke make the bed, discussing Rick's recovery process and how Brooke needed to put Rick first for a while. Ridge asserted that Rick is manipulating Brooke. Would Ridge be relegated to a diner on Christmas if Rick was coming over? (LOL!) Rick was then ensconced in his new bedroom, pitching a whiny fit about Ridge being there. Ridge went to go pack and came back to find Rick trying to reach for something from his bed. The duo traded barbs as Ridge reiterated he and Brooke will be married. Out on the balcony, Brooke and Ridge kissed and prepared to spend some time apart. Rick stared at them from his window. Later, Rick asked Brooke to make him lunch, because that reminded him of quality time with Mom when he was younger. Despite the walk down Memory Lane, Brooke assured Rick that things would go back to the way they're supposed to once he's well. Alone, Rick got all flashback-y and forced himself to get out of bed and grab Brooke and Ridge's photo. Yup, he was standing on his own power! He laughed, victoriously. By the time Brooke returned, he was safely under the sheets playing invalid &mdash which he'd do for as long as it takes!

At Taylor's, she explained to a still doubting Thomas that he needed to "take a step back" and think about how he and Steffy felt about their family falling apart. The family continued to discuss the Ridge/Brooke dynamic and Taylor said she didn't want them talking to Ridge to look "choreographed." She wanted the family to show Ridge he's loved and missed. Later, Ridge came by to pick up Steffy for a lunch date, kvetching to Taylor about Rick and Brooke. Taylor took the opportunity to wonder why he'd choose that life. That's when Steffy and Thomas emerged, as well as Stephanie. Cue them all telling Ridge they missed the family and asking him to think back on the misty watercolored memories of the way they were. "Come home," urged Taylor.
