Monday

While bringing Thorne some lunch, Katie brought him some news — she spotted Ridge and Brooke having a heavy-duty conversation. Over lunch, Thorne and Katie engaged in light, complimentary, mildly flirtatious banter, which led to a kiss which Donna observed while walking past Thorne's office. "Are you sleeping together?" asked Donna. "If I can be happy for you, why can't you be happy for Eric and me?!"

Brooke challenged Ridge to make good on his intentions. Ridge explained he promised Ashley he would let go of Brooke and he tried. But he realized that to do so was to let go of so much of himself and the good in his life. "Do I want a life with you? Kind of comes down to the fact that there's no choice involved," said Ridge. "Because the only life I have, I have with you," he declared to a tearful Brooke. Brooke invited Ridge to join her upstairs in bed to "lay down together." When Brooke came on to Ridge, he suggested they wait because it's too soon (after her rape). Brooke insisted she's OK and is ready for him. They kissed passionately and Ridge declared his love for her as they fell onto the bed. Later, Brooke basked in the afterglow of their lovemaking. "Every dream I ever had is you," cooed Brooke as she kissed Ridge, and they revved up for round two.

Stephanie tore into Donna and Eric for their affair. She tried to fire Donna, but Eric stepped in and fired Stephanie instead. Donna explained that Eric alone is the new owner of Forrester. Eric dropped the bomb that the company legally becomes his once he divorces Stephanie. Stephanie scoffed at the absurdity of Eric's agreement with Nick. Donna excused herself so Eric and Stephanie could talk but not before telling Eric she loved him. "You think this is just some sexual daydream," said Eric to Stephanie, "but it's not." Eric conceded his awareness of how things look because of the age disparity between him and Donna, but insisted none of that matters because he's happy. Eric asked Stephanie why she loved him. Stephanie asked him if he remembered everything they had built and shared together. Eric said he remembers all of it, but proceeded to take off his wedding ring and place it on the table, asking for a separation. Stephanie said she'd get a hotel room while Eric continued to give her the cold shoulder. After trading more insults, Stephanie conceded she isn't sure if she has the strength to fight such a young vixen, but concluded that because of their enduring love for each other she'll find it somehow. She promised Eric she'd be there to pick up the pieces when his dalliance with Donna goes bust. "This is not the end of us," Stephanie declared.

Tuesday

Brooke and Ridge basked in the afterglow of round two of their lovemaking. Caressing each other, they engaged in pillow talk. Ridge admitted guilt for hurting Ashley and her daughter by making promises to them he initially had every intention of keeping. Just then, Ashley returned from Paris and called him from the guest house. Ridge told her he'd be over shortly. Ashley put champagne on ice she brought back from Paris. When Ridge entered she could tell by his body language that things had changed. "I did give you an ultimatum," she conceded before taking the champagne off ice. Ashley beat herself up for "being so stupid." She told Ridge she sent their wedding invitations out while she was in France. Without arguing, she gave him her ring back. Ashley remarked how ironic it was that Brooke first wore the ring by mistake, thinking it belonged to her. "She was right," Ashley scoffed. "I really did love you, Ashley. Don't ever doubt that," Ridge insisted. Ash insisted she'll be fine, but expressed concern for Ridge, given his and Brooke's ping-pong-like history. Ridge said he knows in his heart this time it's forever. Ashley asked Ridge to go. After he left, she walked out onto her terrace and broke down crying.

Meanwhile, Brooke visited with Katie. Brooke quizzed her for an update on Thorne. Katie let slip about Donna sleeping with Eric. Brooke was aghast at the news.

Donna entered Eric's office thinking she was talking to him, only to have Stephanie swing the chair around. Stephanie and Donna sharpened their nails and scratched at each other with alternating insults and threats. Donna told Stephanie to keep underestimating her. "Eric deserves so much more than a bitter, frigid nag," she hissed. Stephanie retorted by insinuating that Donna's not fit to be seen about town with Eric, who only wants her for the bedroom. Donna told Steph she's not like Brooke: She doesn't want Stephanie's approval. Stephanie insisted that Eric is not going to marry Donna and he'll eventually come back to her. "You are just the flavor of the month," she declared. "Sex, my dear, can only take you just so far." When Donna responded that it's her turn to be Mrs. Eric Forrester, Stephanie slapped her across the face. Donna responded by shoving Stephanie, and both women's nostrils flared in rage.

Wednesday

Nick paid Brooke a visit. Brooke informed Nick that she's back with Ridge and that they're going to be a family again. "For good this time," Brooke declared to Nick, who shared the good news that the baby has developed his own immune system. Ridge came downstairs and put Nick in his place, declaring that he and Brooke are moving on with their lives and instructing Nick to leave Brooke alone. After seeing Nick out, Brooke asked Ridge to be more sympathetic. Ridge bristled at the thought and remained hard-nosed where Nick was concerned. Sensing Ridge's agitation, Brooke tried to reassure Ridge of her love and suggested that Nick's baby need not be a complication in their relationship.

While preparing to leave the hospital, a bitter Taylor insinuated to Bridget that maybe she had an intentional hand in the egg mix-up. Bridget explained how stressed she's been over the whole ordeal. A distraught Taylor demanded to know how such a mix-up could have possibly occurred. Bridget rehashed how the comedy of errors took place and apologized for what happened. "Don't be sorry if you're not responsible," Taylor quipped, and continued her insinuations against Bridget. "Do you think I wanted this to happen to you?!" Bridget cried. "Not to you, and not to my mother!" Bridget said how she could relate to Taylor's situation because of what happened to Bridget when Nicole died, and gave Taylor an emotional pep talk to engage her baby and move forward with her family. Nick joined Taylor at the hospital and reassured her that the three of them would be a family together, as they prepared to leave baby Jack in the hospital nursery as she got discharged. "Jack Hamilton Marone is OUR little boy," Nick encouraged Taylor, as they hugged.

Thursday

At Spectra, C.J. dusted off family photos and reminisced about Sally. Clarke interrupted him and discussed how Sally is selling Spectra. C.J. told Clarke he's handling the sale. Clarke told C.J. he has a prospective buyer for them and dashed off. At the hospital nursery, Bridget and Brooke discussed their concerns for Taylor and her mental status. Brooke said she wanted to help in any way she can. Bridget asked Brooke to come by her office and sign the papers to relinquish her legal rights to the baby. Brooke lingered at the nursery to look at baby Jack. Bridget got a page on her beeper and had to go, but left the papers with Brooke and urged her to sign them ASAP so Nick and Taylor "can get on with their lives."

Nick took Taylor home, where she was welcomed by Jackie, Thomas and Phoebe. Thomas and Phoebe quizzed Nick and Taylor about the donor and how she was, what she looked like, etc. Taylor said she was tired and excused herself. Nick returned to gently quell Thomas and Phoebe's curiosities about the donor. As Taylor rested in her bedroom, Brooke appeared, with the envelope of papers Bridget gave her in her hand. "We have to talk," Brooke said to Taylor, who was in no mood. Brooke said she wasn't interested in complicating anyone's lives, opened the envelope and produced the papers to relinquish rights of the baby. Brooke proceeded to sign them to Taylor's surprise, then handed them to Taylor for her to sign. Meanwhile, downstairs Clarke arrived at the house, and invited Jackie and Nick to join him to see about a potential business offer. Clarke brought them back to Spectra and made them a sales pitch, trying to appeal to their continued desire to stick it to the Forresters as well as Jackie's personal drive and ambition to be a creative success. While Nick seemed somewhat skeptical and not enthused, Jackie appeared to be enticed by Clarke's proposition.

At Forrester, Ridge recapped Taylor's baby's illness crisis and egg mix-up to Felicia. Felicia was horrified to learn that Brooke is the biological mom of Nick and Taylor's baby. Felicia also learned that Ridge broke things off with Ashley and is back with Brooke. Felicia questioned whether Taylor can handle what has happened. She tried to warn her brother that Brooke may not be able to give up on the baby as easily as she's saying she can. Felicia cautioned Ridge that things will not be as smooth sailing with Brooke as he has deluded himself into believing.

Friday

Bridget expressed her concerns about Taylor's state of mind to Ridge. Ridge mused how rough it must be on Taylor given all the circumstances. Bridget told him that Brooke was headed to see Taylor to sign the papers relinquishing the rights to the baby. Sure enough, Brooke was asking Taylor to sign the papers to confirm that Taylor is baby Jack's mother. Taylor bristled and complained about how things are all messed up because the donor is not anonymous as originally planned. Brooke appealed to Taylor to do what's in the best interest of the child to ensure that "her son" will be taken care of. Taylor called Brooke on her Freudian slip and argued that's just what she's afraid of. Brooke downplayed her slip as a symptom of the emotional roller coaster they've all been on. Taylor questioned whether Brooke could really sever all ties to her biological child. Brooke insisted she could, but then asked Taylor if Taylor could really love the child as her own, the way the child deserves to be loved. Taylor questioned why Brooke is so adamant to get the papers signed ASAP, and wondered if Brooke is more worried about appeasing Ridge than she is in doing what's best for the baby. Brooke reiterated that she and Ridge are in love and that the baby is Taylor's, not theirs. Taylor surprised Brooke by refusing to sign the papers. She insisted it was a moot point, since everyone knows who the "real" mother is, anyway. Taylor then asked Brooke to leave so she could rest. Brooke left, leaving the papers behind. A tearful Taylor tried to compose herself. Brooke returned to Ridge and told him that she signed the papers but Taylor had yet to do so. Ridge expressed concern about what would happen if Taylor didn't take to the baby. Jackie was enthused at the idea of buying Spectra and competing with the Forresters. Nick remained skeptical and asked Clarke for time alone to talk with his mother. Nick asked Jackie if she's sure her interest isn't rooted in payback towards Eric for shacking up with Donna instead of her, but Jackie denied that had any part of it. After much consideration Nick agreed to buy Spectra for Jackie, but he would be a silent partner. Jackie got excited at the prospects of their upcoming success.
