Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of September 21, 2009

Monday

Justin begged Donna to tell him if he is Marcus's father but she denied it.
Marcus walked in with a delivery and sensed the tension. He asked if his mom
was okay and Donna claimed she was fine. After Marcus left, Justin still
suspected that Marcus is his son but Donna insisted it wasn't true. She lied
that there was someone else and that's why she broke up with Justin. He
demanded that Donna give up the guy's name. "Stop pressing me on this," she
shot back. Marcus apologized and left a weepy Donna.

Brooke walked in on Nick and Bridget making out. The Marones mentioned that
they were planning a surprise celebration for Stephanie's accomplishments.
Brooke left and joined Ridge, who revealed that Eric wanted to adopt Marcus.
Brooke then shared that Jackie M was giving Stephanie a party. Ridge and
Brooke had enough with casual conversation and started smooching.

As Pam, Whip, Jackie and Owen planned Stephanie's little party, the guest of
honor walked in and asked what they were discussing. Whip fibbed that they
were all meeting in Steph's office for a staff meeting. When she revealed
that she had a headache, Jackie advised La Forrester to take it easy.
Stephanie refused, then was later surprised when everyone gathered in her
office for champagne. Jackie announced that they wanted
to celebrate Stephanie's successes at the company. She tried to be modest
but Nick toasted to the "woman of the year." Stephanie gave props to her new
family and crowed that Jackie M will become the No. 1 fashion house in the
world.

After the party, Bridget fretted to Nick that Stephanie's behavior seemed a
little odd. Meanwhile, Pam was alone with her sister when she noticed
Stephanie seemed overly distracted. Steph pooh poohed Pam's concern then
sent her home. Alone, Stephanie's vision blurred and she became weak. "I'm
fine," she told herself.

Tuesday

Stephanie was confused when Ridge, who was in bed with Brooke, called her.
She noticed her vision was blurred and her hearing slightly impaired. After
they hung up, Ridge said he's happy his mom has found a new place at Jackie
M, but is sure that no one over there will understand her or want her,
especially when she's doing what she does best which is manipulate. Later,
Brooke and Ridge shared some sweet pillow talk. Brooke promised she'd love
Ridge even in his old age, in a full body cast and even in the grave.

Stephanie took a cab to Taylor's, claiming she had car trouble. Steffy was
concerned and had to pay the cabbie for her grandma. Taylor noticed that
something was wrong with Stephanie, who sat down and made a veiled comment
about her past, family and regretting not giving herself enough attention.
Taylor lent an ear and surmised La Forrester is just struggling with
watching Eric start a new family "I've lived the wrong life," she said. "I
didn't plan to grow old like this." Taylor was empathetic and gave her a
hug.

Donna helped Eric find a scrapbook of old gowns he'd designed because he was
worried it was exactly like one he designed 20 years ago for Stephanie. Eric
marveled at how strong-willed his ex is and how dedicated she is to her
career. Donna said she doesn't mind Eric talking about La Forrester like
that, adding she's grateful that Stephanie took care of him for so many
years and primed him for their own life together. She wanted to honor Eric's
past. Eric asked if, regarding his desire to adopt Marcus, there's a
biological father he should reach out to. Donna said no; Eric urged her not
to shut Marcus's biological father out because he is clearly someone she
loved deeply in her past. "Love is like rain; we don't know how much we need
it until it stops," he added.

Steffy returned to say that there is nothing wrong with Stephanie's car.
Taylor asked her daughter to keep an eye on La Forrester, who brushed off
any concerns: "I'm just blue because I had some champagne." Stephanie
continued to act odd, however, then she collapsed to the ground. Steffy
rushed out to get help.

Wednesday

A panicked Steffy called 9-1-1, then tended to her ailing grandmother, who
was awake but uncommunicative. Stephanie eventually regained her motor
skills and Steffy guided her to the sofa. The paramedics arrived but
Stephanie insisted she was fine. When she seemed a little disoriented, the
medics suspected she had a stroke and whisked her away.

Bridget couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong with Stephanie
but Nick assured her the old gal was doing fine. He then pointed out that
Bridget hasn't gotten the proper acknowledgement for everything she's done
for Jackie M. Bridget was moved by her husband's compliment, then grabbed
his guitar and asked to be serenaded. Nick adlibbed a song he called "Ode To
The Unsung Hero" and Bridget critiqued the performance with a steamy kiss.

Pam showed up at Taylor's house in search of Stephanie but encountered
Thomas instead. Pam confided to Thomas that she was worried about her big
sister going through a rough time. Pam's concern got Thomas worked up about
his grandmother's welfare. They both got worried when they found Stephanie's
cell phone. Thomas tried to call Steffy but she didn't answer.

At the hospital, Stephanie argued with the doctor, downplaying what happened to her,
but the doc insisted on running tests anyway. Steffy wanted to call her dad but
Granny ordered her not to. The doctor returned and announced that Stephanie
did have a minor stroke, but the patient refused to accept the diagnosis.
"There's nothing wrong with me," Steph grumbled and refused to stay
overnight for observation. Steffy ordered her grandmother to stay put for
the night and Stephanie finally agreed. Alone, she kept telling herself,
"I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine ..."

Thursday

Steffy brought Stephanie home from the hospital. Stephanie reminded her
granddaughter to keep mum about the incident then begrudgingly allowed
Steffy to drive her to work. At her office, Bridget, Nick and Whip came in
and quickly noticed Stephanie's grouchy demeanor. Pam joined the group and
when her sister looked over Bridget's swimsuit designs, she used the word
lace instead of latex. Everyone was surprised when Stephanie dropped her cup
of coffee and she bristled at their concern. Pam was especially sensitive to
Steph's behavior as she pushed everyone out of her office. Alone, her vision
blurred as she tried to review some contracts, then had trouble handling a
pen as she scribbled her signature. "Why is this happening to me?" she
asked.

Eric and Donna were excited over his imminent adoption of Marcus, who was
pretty thrilled himself. Eric announced that his lawyer was on her way over
with the papers to make everything legal. Marcus gave Eric his MVP
basketball trophy from high school. Eric was touched by the gift, and
popped a bottle of champagne. He toasted to Donna's integrity and his
new son. Donna happily acknowledged their new family.

Justin told a surprised Bill that Marcus may be his son. Justin explained
how Donna suddenly broke off contact when he went away to college all those
years ago. When Justin shared Donna's claim that another guy was the papa, Bill
had Jarrett research Marcus's birthday. The answer proved that Donna didn't
have time to get involved with someone else after she last saw Justin. Justin
headed over to Forrester Creations, where he found an overjoyed Donna making
dinner reservations for a family celebration. Justin declared that Marcus is
indeed his son but Donna continued to lie that another man was the sire. He
kept prodding until she finally admitted, "He's your son."

Friday

While having coffee, Steffy couldn't stop thinking about her grandmother.
Owen joined her and Steffy asked how things were going with Jackie. He not
very convincingly said that they were fine then asked Steffy what was
bothering her. "I'm worried about my Grandma," she admitted. "She's going
through something." Owen said that Stephanie was doing very well at Jackie M
and held Steffy's hand to comfort her.

Stephanie continued to have trouble with her vision as well as numbness in
one hand. Pam walked in and observed her sister's confusion but Steph
assured her that everything is okay. When Pam pressed Stephanie to sign an
important document, she got riled and ordered her sister to leave. Pam took
a peek at Stephanie's laptop and discovered she had been researching
strokes. Pam confronted Stephanie, who refused to admit that anything was
wrong. When Pam asked for Ridge's birthday is, Stephanie got furious and
defended her health. Pam kept nagging for the truth until Stephanie broke
down in frustration.

Justin absorbed the news that "I have a son." Donna explained how she kept
her pregnancy a secret all those years ago because she didn't want to ruin
his scholarship. Donna apologized and hoped Justin would hate her. He
assured he could never hate her and praised her for the sacrifice she made.
When Justin announced that he wanted to be a father to Marcus, Donna
explained that her son didn't want to know his biological father and that
Eric wants to adopt Marcus. Justin was affected by the news and offered his
thanks for Donna giving him a son. They shared an emotional embrace and
Marcus suddenly entered to see them mid-clinch. He quickly put the pieces
together upon seeing the guilty looks on their faces. "Is this my father?"
Marcus stammered.
