Bold and Beautiful Recaps
B&B Week of January 3, 2011
Monday
Liam assured Hope they could work things out, insisting he couldn’t remember much of that night with Amber. “Liam, I don’t know what to believe!” Hope
sighed, as he apologized. "Tell me that we're not over," he begged. A
robe-clad Brooke came downstairs, which put an end to the argument. Alone
with her mom, Hope explained what had happened. Brooke pointed out that
Amber "would say anything" and suspected Amber was trying to get her mitts
on another rich guy, like Rick. Meanwhile, Liam dropped by Spencer
Publications to talk to his dad. Worried about Liam's head, Bill related a
story about a buddy of his who'd had concussion-induced amnesia. Liam then
talked to Bill about his future, explaining to Bill that he couldn't be this
epic "most eligible bachelor." He didn't want to let Bill down, but Hope was
the love of his life! Bill realized something more was going on. Back at
Brooke's, she gave Hope a pep talk. Hope admitted she wants to trust
Liam...but how could she be sure? Brooke said they didn't have all the
facts. Only Amber did! Brooke resolved to talk to her and get to the bottom
of this. At the office, Liam opened up about how close he was to losing
Hope. Bill gave him his blessing to "be who you are." But he warned Liam not
to run off and get married. Liam swore he'd get Hope back no matter what.
"Now that's a Spencer!" Bill beamed.
At the beach house, Tawny again discouraged Amber from telling Oliver about
the baby. Liam was her candidate. "How hard would it be to convince
him that you're having his baby?" she pointed out. Amber countered with
vivid description of Bill Spencer's badassery and how hard it will be to
"outsmart" him. Amber was more concerned with her baby's health, remembering
how she'd lost Rick's baby all those years ago. To her, it didn't matter who
the father was. Tawny kept scheming, plotting about rigging the paternity
test. "We both need a break here!" she claimed. Liam was a good guy, who
would do right by Amber and her baby. Tawny reminded Amber of how much
privilege she had while married to Rick. "But then it all came crashing to
an end...because of my lies," reminded Amber. Tawny swore she'd have a happy
ending this time.
Tuesday
Brooke opened the door to Liam, who really wanted to see Hope. Brooke was in mama lion mode until Hope said it was okay — she'd talk to him. Brooke went off to meet Amber and question her about her night with Liam. Equally protective parent Bill called Oliver to tell him to keep his distance from
Hope. Ollie was puzzled by the "complete 180." Later, Katie came by to
cuddle with her hubby, who told her about Liam taking a hard line with him
about Hope. Bill worried that the damage to his son and Hope's relationship
might have already been done, though. Back at Brooke's, Hope explained how
she couldn't trust Liam right now. They went back and forth about Liam
Cooper vs. William Spencer III, and Liam asked for a chance to prove that
Hope is all that matters to him.
Back at the park, Brooke and Amber discussed Amber's theft of the Hope For
The Future line and her ongoing issues with Tawny. Amber noted Tawny and
Brooke were similar in one major way: they were both protective of their
little girls. Brooke then got back on track: "What happened between you and
Liam that night?" Amber refused to talk about it but, as Brooke pressed her,
said, "Liam and I slept together." (Grammatically speaking, she's not
wrong.) Brooke was appalled, wondering what Amber had done to make Liam
betray her daughter. "Things happen," shrugged Amber, insisting she hadn't
meant to ruin Hope's life. Brooke kept tossing theories around and Amber,
having had enough, stormed off. As Hope kept blaming Liam's Spencer-ness for
their problems, he defended his father but said he'd give his job and his
father up to be with her. "I confronted the Great and Powerful Bill Spencer
for you!" he pointed out, saying he'd even walk on coals and eat snakes — or his shoe — for her! A stern Hope made him take off his shoe and when he
actually bit into it, she got all grossed out and made him stop. As the
hilarity turned into her forgiving him, she warned him never to let her down
again.
Wednesday
The Jackie M crew tried to put their heads together and map out their
future. Whip had some ideas about Jackie really taking point as the
cornerstone of her company. Meanwhile, Owen had some ideas of his own. He
told Nick he was planning to ask Jackie to renew their vows. Would Nick
stand up for him? Nick pointed out he'd stood up for Jackie and Massimo.
What was the incentive to be "best" again? They talked about the Bridget
situation. Nick then said he supported Owen remarrying his mom, but he
didn't want to be there. Later, Aggie mentioned Whip's ideas for a new line
and Nick vented about the dopiness of people renewing their vows. Aggie had
a sunnier outlook on such rituals and wondered who exactly was planning such
a thing. In Jackie's office, she idly wondered about Bridget and Logan
(they're in Hawaii!) and then Owen got on one knee and asked, "Will you
marry me again?"
At Dayzee’s, a waitress in training chatted about Brooke’s naked photos with
her “hot” stepson and Stephanie took hilarious but fond jabs at her pal.
Taylor walked in and Brooke quickly turned the topic to the weather. Taylor
zeroed right in on the photo situation with “The Naked Weathergirl” and
Thomas and soon went on one of her rants about the various evils of Brooke.
“Honey, these are different times,” sighed Stephanie, pointing out Brooke
has all that she wants: Ridge. Stephanie was puzzled about why Whip was so
involved in all of this. Taylor insisted Whip hadn’t leaked the photo, but
Brooke claimed he was “stirring up trouble.” Stephanie wondered if a little
distance from Ridge would help. Nearby, Marcus helped Dayzee train her staff
and the two of them flirted and got to know each other. Later, Brooke
marveled at Stephanie defending her to Taylor. Stephanie mused about how
she'd put too much emphasis on the wrong things in life in the past. It had
taken having cancer to "put a stake" in her childish side. "When are
you going to grow up?" she pointedly asked Brooke. Elsewhere, Whip
was disconcerted by how Taylor needed Stephanie's take on things...and even
more off-kilter when Taylor began questioning him about the night of the
fashion show! But, ultimately, Whip admitted that, yes, he'd taken the photo
of Brooke and Thomas!
Thursday
Whip apologetically came clean to Taylor, who was baffled. Whip then went off about how Ridge is so involved in Taylor's life and only cares about looking out for himself. Taylor was glad to have someone like Whip in her corner. Meanwhile, at the Forrester Sky Lounge, Ridge had a proposition for Brooke and Thomas. He said Taboo was a big hit in Paris and he wanted to send them over there to capitalize on the momentum! "Awesome!" beamed Thomas, noting it's everything he's been dreaming of. Later, Madison gave Thomas some paperwork...and some grief for him not calling her. In return, Thomas gave her one of those ouch-y "I think you're cute, but..." speeches. They shared a bittersweet kiss, as Brooke looked on. Back at Taylor's, Whip passionately explained his motivation behind the whole photo debacle. "I was wrong, and it was petty, and I'm sorry," he sighed. Could Taylor forgive him? Taylor was upset that he'd been pushed to this extreme but did forgive him! They cuddled and Taylor decided nobody needed to know where the photo had come from. She thanked Whip for his Ridge analysis and then asked for his help with Thomas's Oedipal complex toward Brooke. At Forrester, Thomas promised to make Ridge proud and they shared a manly hug. "I have a feeling this is going to be a trip you'll never forget," said Ridge. Later, Thomas and Brooke were on the Forrester jet. They toasted to their trip and Thomas vented about his problems with love.
Jackie was thrilled by Owen's proposal and even more thrilled that Nick
would let them use his house for the vow renewal ceremony...until Owen told her that Nick wasn't planning to be there. Jackie felt "stupid" for thinking her son and her husband could get along. But she quickly told Owen not to worry about anything but looking into her eyes and recommitting to her. "I love you, Mrs. Knight," he smiled, before kissing her. In Nick's office, Aggie was stunned to realize Nick was skipping his mom's to-do. She said he might "regret not going." He had a great opportunity for "healing, for forgiveness" here. "Don't waste it," she urged. Later, Jackie hoped Nick had changed his mind. He said Aggie would go and be their witness. He wanted to be there for his mom, but couldn't be there for Owen.
Friday
Whip and Taylor cuddled by the fire and talked about why Thomas was so drawn to Brooke. Taylor said it all related to his past. He was a "classic case" of an Oedipal Complex. Taylor explained how Thomas was trying to replace his father and said she was afraid of how far Brooke would let it go. Yes, Taylor's momentary sanity soon spiraled back into a "Brooke's out to seduce my son!" rant. Meanwhile, on the Forrester jet, Brooke mothered Thomas and joked about him being stuck on a plane to Paris with his stepmom. He assured her that there was nobody else he'd rather be with and raved about how Brooke makes people "better than they are." Brooke remembered how she'd helped raise the kids while Taylor was off being dead and talked about how proud she was of Thomas. Thomas countered with a rave review of Brooke's smile. (Um, ew!) They went over notes, and Thomas urged Brooke to get some sleep. Back in L.A., Whip told Taylor that there "may still be a chance that nothing could happen between Thomas and Brooke." Of course, on the plane, Thomas was watching Brooke as she slept.
At Jackie M, Nick kept being grumpy about Jackie and Owen's vow renewal. Owen stopped by to tell him that everything was all set up at the house and get in one last mention of how happy Jackie would be to have him there. Aggie said the same things to Nick, who crabbily-but-fondly dubbed her "Naggie." An amused Aggie, who'd heard that before from Oliver, didn't back down! Later, Nick was alone in his office watching the game and puffing on a cigar but he kept thinking about his mom pleading with him to support her marriage. Elsewhere, Owen led Jackie into Nick's house, where he'd decorated it beautifully for their special event. "I want this ceremony to be about you and me...about us," he told her. Logan and Bridget were family, but "you're the only one that I am committing myself to!" As Aggie arrived, Owen got a call from the pastor who was saying he'd twisted his ankle and couldn't come. Aggie called a very bored Nick, who called her "Nagnes Jones." Aggie told him to turn off the game — was it really more important than his mom? Then, Aggie helped Jackie get ready. Jackie was all worried about Nick but resolved to recommit to Owen whether her son was there or not. Downstairs, Owen was having no luck with replacement pastors. Not to worry, though. Naggie was on the case! Nick showed up in full dress whites to preside over his mom's renewal. A beaming Jackie hugged her son.
