Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of January 5, 2009

Monday

Ridge surprised Brooke with a huge heart carved in the sand. The couple was
delighted that they were completely alone on the beach. "This is perfect,"
Ridge said. Ridge presented his bride with a crown of flowers. The two
walked around their sand heart and stood under a green arch by the ocean.
Ridge listed the many things he was grateful for especially "the gift of
each other. There is nothing I cherish more than my love for you," he said.
Ridge assured her that she would never be without his love. "I accept your
love," Brooke replied. "I just love you so much," she added. Ridge and
Brooke exchanged vows and walked to the bed hidden in the cove. "This is
perfect. It feels like the first time," Brooke said. "That's the magic
between you and me, Logan," Ridge said as the couple kissed. Ridge pulled
his bride to the bed.

Pam was upset with Donna for wearing her crocheted bikini gift in the
Forrester Fashion show. Pam accused Donna of stealing the bathing suit and
Eric. "Take it off. I want that bikini back," Pam demanded. "My pleasure,"
Donna said as she wrapped herself in a robe so she could discreetly take off
the bikini. Donna handed Pam the bikini and went off to look for Eric.

Eric, Owen and Stephanie fielded calls about the crocheted bikini. "We're in
business," Eric beamed. Donna entered the office and was warmly welcomed by
Eric. "Can we go home now," she asked. "We're swamped with orders for that
bikini," Eric said proudly. "Suddenly it's all about Pam's bikini,"
Donna said. "So what," Owen replied. Donna didn't care for the swim suit,
but the "public does" Owen said. Donna tried to explain the truth behind the
swim suit to her husband but Eric kept showering his wife with praise about
the bikini. Eric and Donna began to make love in his office.

Stephanie was stunned to learn that Pam had made the showstopper — the
crocheted bikini. Pam was equally surprised to learn that her gift to Donna
was the hit of the fashion show. Stephanie told her sister that she'd get
all the credit for designing the bikini. "Donna would never allow it," Pam
said. "Donna is going to get a partner — you!" Stephanie said.

Tuesday

Ridge and "Mrs. Forrester" enjoyed the morning in their own room after their
sandy wedding night. Brooke generously noted that Taylor still needs Ridge
to help her through what happened with Phoebe and urged him to go to her.
Brooke needed a little help putting her bra on and thought Ridge was the one
helping her fasten it. Guess what? It was Stephanie! LOL! Cue much snarky
banter and Brooke assuring her she and her new hubby have an appointment at
City Hall to make their marriage legal. Stephanie then marveled at Brooke
sending Ridge off to Taylor. Brooke noted it was the kind of compassion
Steph ought to be showing Rick. Compassion for Rick? As if! Stephanie
insisted Ridge had just put a bandage on his Rick issues and it would all
eventually come pouring out. Meanwhile, Ridge confirmed, "Brooke and I
finally did it," for his ex, who congratulated him. Taylor felt like she was
losing everything. Ridge assured her he'd always be a part of her life and
hugged her. Brooke assured Stephanie she is 100% secure with Ridge and there
was nothing Stephanie could do to keep them apart.

Eric beamed over the success of Donna and Owen's fashion show. Donna
privately pointed out to Owen that it had all been because of Pam's
handiness with crochet hooks. Owen insisted they didn't need Pam, showing
Donna and Eric a prototype he'd had made up. Eric dubbed it like a "Spectra
knockoff" and wanted to meet who'd made the original. D'oh! Owen and Donna
didn't know what to do. Elsewhere, Stephanie encouraged Pam to concentrate
on designs for her much-touted suit and asked her to meet her at Forrester
later to discuss details. When she arrived, she buoyantly greeted Owen and
Donna, noting "the whole world has taken a liking to my designs." She even
brought along another crochet bikini. While Donna boggled, Owen chirped,
"Pam, you're hired!" Pam played a little hardball when she wanted an office
to boot. Then Eric appeared. Pam apologized for her terrible actions, and
Owen and Donna were forced to admit she was their genius designer. Cue Pam
joining Team Forrester! She noted Donna is "too gosh darn negative to
forgive anyone." "Stop being psycho and just start crocheting!" cried Donna.
Pam suggested they call the bikinis "Paminis."

Wednesday

Pam explained the art of crochet to an unimpressed Donna and assured her and
Donna that her Paminis would "sell like hotcakes." Alone with Owen, Donna
bemoaned their fate. Owen promised he'd do all the working with Pam. Later,
Bridget admired Pam's handiwork and Donna noticed a spark between her and
Owen. They were all adorable-y staring at each other and "it's good to see
you." Once Owen left, Donna praised him to Bridget, suggesting they hang
out. They kind of glossed over the whole Donna/Owen thing, moving on to
Bridget's lack of a social life. Meanwhile, at the beach house, Pam offered
to whip up some food while shirtless Owen went out for a swim. He returned
all wet, suggested Pam take their work upstairs, and then spied Bridget at
the door. She was wearing nothing but a trenchcoat and Pam's bikini
creation. Of course, then she saw Pam's candlelight deal setup and the
flirting stalled. Owen tried to explain it was with a "buddy," but,
flustered, she fled.

Nick and Katie smooched and enjoyed time together, sighing about the tragedy
of Phoebe's death and talking about their lives.

Steffy flashed back on her passionate makeout session with Rick. Then,
Marcus walked up, kissing her and suggesting they go away together. Steffy
immediately called Rick. She headed to his new office and told him about
Marcus' plan to go to Big Bear. She admitted she couldn't stop thinking
about him, or all the tension with Ridge. This couldn't go on. Or could it?
While they angsted, Marcus caught up with his mom and told her of his plans.
Rick reiterated to Steffy that their relationship was all kinds of wrong, so
Steffy resolved to get over him...sort of. Two seconds later she tearfully
suggested they sneak around in secret. Rick didn't want to hurt her, and
apologized for kissing her. "You have to go back to Marcus," he urged.
"Nothing good can come of you and me." Steffy agreed to go to Marcus and put
Rick behind her. Rick assured her that the night she reached out to him
meant a lot to him, dubbing her his "lifeline." All the emotional
declarations led to a passionate kiss...which Bridget spied when she walked
in the door. Shocked, she quickly hid behind a potted plant.

Thursday

Chilling in bed, Brooke perused a wedding magazine — for Katie, not for her
and Ridge, who were plenty wed already. Ridge had a magazine of his own,
featuring an "exclusive" interview with Stephanie, who used the platform to
blame Rick for Steffy's death and to trash Donna's decisions. Thorne and
Felicia talked to Stephanie about that very same article. Steph didn't see
what she'd done wrong, especially in light of "The Year of the Logans," at
Forrester. Ridge and Brooke were horrified by how Stephanie had rubbed "salt
in the wounds" they were all suffering in the wake of Phoebe's death. Ridge
promised the family was his priority, and then Brooke teased him about a
mystery e-mail she was going to send him. Said e-mail led Ridge to the
Forrester steam room for a "private meeting" to quality assurance test
Brooke's bikini. (LOL!)

Eric and Donna snuggled as Katie walked in with a copy of Stephanie's
article. Eric went ballistic! Criticizing the surf line was one thing, but
trashing Rick? Unacceptable. Donna noted that Stephanie had done this for
attention. When Eric worried over Steffy's reaction to the article, Donna
assured him Marcus would take care of her.

Rick angsted in his office as Bridget walked in to call him out on smooching
Steffy. "What were you thinking?" she boggled, noting anyone —mainly
Ridge — could've walked in. Rick assured Bridget that he and Steffy had
ended things, but that they did feel something for each other. Bridget made
an "ugh" noise and warned her brother to keep his distance from Steffy. Up
at Big Bear, Marcus led Steffy into the cabin and surprised her with a
romantic, candlelight setting. Steffy was stunned and her gaze lingered on a
photo of Rick and Bridget on the table. She tried to text Rick but Marcus
interrupted, being all adorable and well-meaning. Rick tried to call Steffy
and only got her voicemail. He got all antsy and was going to head out, but
Stephanie interrupted to shove her interview at him. "You're naked in there,
to the world," she sniped. Rick wondered why she wanted to cause a scandal.
Well, she wanted him to quit. She was certain that when he returned from his
errand, his cushy new office would no longer be his. Back at Big Bear,
Marcus told Steffy how happy he was with her and how special she is. Then,
he got down on one knee and pulled out a ringbox. He talked about being
together "till death do us part," which is a tacky thing to say in light of
recent events. Not tacky? Asking her to marry him! Steffy was flabbergasted.
In L.A., Rick and Stephanie drew battle lines.

Friday

At Forrester, Stephanie wondered if Rick was threatening her. No, he was
just trying to get his point across. Which turned out to be, "You can pack
your desk, if you have one, and get the Hell out of here." Stephanie noted
she'd been keeping Forrester afloat since before Rick was born. And she
wasn't Brooke, she knew how to put a "misbehaving child" in their
place. After telling him that she had more authority in 2nd grade than he's
ever had, Stephanie fired Rick: "So start packing, Baby Boy."

Brooke and Ridge steamed up the steam room, complete with ribald jokes about
shrinkage. As Brooke's CEO and husband, Ridge demanded she listen to what he
tells her. Then, their towels came off. After some naked type things, they
realized they had to get back and prevent some family bloodshed.

Steffy was shocked by Marcus' proposal. Marcus told her, "I am the
definition of husband material. Marry me." When Steffy didn't answer in the
affirmative, things got awkward. "I don't think it's ever going to work,"
she confessed. Marcus said she was overreacting to him rushing things, and
wondered what had changed between them. Steffy apologized profusely but
couldn't admit she had dirty hot feelings for Uncle Rick. Marcus actually
blamed Uncle Rick's manipulation anyway. "Nobody's gonna love you like I
do," he told her, before grabbing his coat to go back to L.A. Steffy wanted
to still be friends and Marcus was okay with that. But he did wonder if
Steffy was being totally honest with him.

Donna and Eric discussed various family happenings, including the presidency
of Forrester and Steffy and Marcus' relationship. Eric tried some sketches
to get his mind off Stephanie's betrayal, to no avail. Donna pointed out
that Steph doesn't even really work there. "She's the company
matriarch," he replied. "My hands are tied." Ethically, he couldn't kick her
out. Stephanie and Rick soon showed up, each saying they'd fired each other.
Stephanie noted she'd love to see the size of her severance check. Rick said
if Eric didn't ax her, he'd walk. Brooke arrived as the yelling continued.
Eric blasted Steph for taking their family tragedy to the press, and then
shouted at Rick, too. He then declared he'd made his choice. "Who's it going
to be? Our son? Or Stephanie?" asked Brooke. "Who is leaving Forrester
Creations?"
