Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of July 14, 2008

Monday

The mood turned tense at Bridget and Nick's garden wedding at the Marone estate. Tears streamed down the bride's face as Katie, who was officiating, blurted, "I thought I could do this, but I can't." Nick looked puzzled and Brooke squirmed in her seat, fearing her sister had lost it. Katie continued, explaining that she couldn't go forward with the ceremony as planned. Katie gestured to Nick, announcing, "I love this man." Then she looked at the bride and added, "I love this woman." Katie clarified that she just had to go off-script to say how much they mean to her. When that was over, the ceremony resumed and the couple exchanged vows. After they were pronounced man and wife, the guests showered the happy couple with white rose petals. Everyone was smiling as they trailed into the mansion, but Katie remained in the garden alone.

Owen drew admiring gazes from a couple of girls as he took in some sun on the Forrester Creations rooftop and waited for his meeting with Felicia. She strolled up and asked if he was up for a challenge. Noting that Eric would dump Donna if he thought she was unfaithful, Felicia suggested that Owen keep Donna company while Eric is traveling on business. His mission? Produce some evidence of the newlywed's infidelity. "So, you want me to set Donna up?" he asked. Owen seemed reluctant at first, but when Felicia offered him $200 grand, they shook on it.

At the wedding reception, Brooke cooed to Ridge that things had finally come full circle for Bridget and Nick. Ridge told Brooke that it's about time that they make a pledge of their own. She said that she'd like that, too and they acknowledged that he's been distracted with family business. Ridge suggested that they make some quality time of their own and the pair shared a steamy smooch.... Eric fussed over how beautiful Bridget looked and she lovingly thanked him for her bridal gown. Marcus approached and she drew him into a welcoming hug, saying how happy she is that he and Donna found each other.... As the bride, groom and their guests danced and reveled, Katie sat by herself in the garden. An inner monologue to the tune of, "If you love something set it free," ensued. Katie spotted the bride's bouquet and clasped it to her chest.

Tuesday

Nick carried his bride over the threshold of their room where they found
chilled beer waiting for them, courtesy of Katie. Nick felt bad for not
taking Bridget on a proper honeymoon but after a few words of how much she
loved her husband, she was anxious to get into bed. We were then treated to
stylized scenes of the newlyweds having sex. After, Nick proclaimed, "I want
you to know that you're in my heart." Bridget was touched and they went back
to making out again.

While looking at a photo her first wedding to Ridge, Brooke was a little
depressed over the state of their relationship. "What happened to us,
Ridge?" Brooke asked but he assured that everything was fine between them.
Brooke took exception over the way Ridge is treating her sister but he
countered that he didn't like Donna's effect on his family. Brooke pointed
out that Donna didn't force Eric to marry him. They basically agreed to
disagree and kissed.

Felicia coached Owen on how to become Donna's assistant. As he entered
Eric's office, Donna was hurt when Pam shared that Eric was going on a
business trip to New York — alone. After Pam walked out, Donna became
riled
by her disrespect and Owen offered a sympathetic ear. When Donna learned
that he used to be a paralegal, she asked him to be her assistant. Owen
accepted and immediately started organizing her emails and calendar. Donna
was impressed and was grateful to have someone she could trust. After she
stepped out of the office, Felicia slipped in and praised Owen's slickness.
He pointed out that Donna "isn't a bad person" but Felicia reminded him to
do the job she hired him for.

Wednesday

Donna was disappointed when Eric insisted that he go on his business trip
alone. "I can't take you, not this time," he explained. Donna was miffed
when Stephanie called and Eric expressed concern for her welfare. After Eric
hung up, Donna suggested he send Pam to take care of "her beloved sister"
but he pointed out that Pam was needed at work. Donna then announced that
she hired Owen as her new assistant. "Good, then he can take of all your
needs," Eric smiled. Donna still wanted to go on the trip but Eric admitted
that he needed to go because there's been negative industry buzz about his
marriage. Donna was crushed and Eric promised to convince his distributors
and vendors otherwise on the business trip.

Felicia reminded Owen to get incriminating photos of him and "the bimbo
bitch." Owen pointed out that Donna is still the wife of Felicia's father
but she was determined to get rid of Donna. Owen rationalized their plot as
a way to get Donna away from the Forresters and promised to get what Felicia
needs "tonight."

Marcus was shocked when Owen revealed that he was Donna's new assistant.
After Marcus left, Steffy observed how the PI seemed to have fortuitously
"hitched his wagon" to Marcus but Owen said it wasn't his style. Steffy was
surprised when Owen gave a high opinion of Donna.

Ridge explained to Brooke that it would be better if Eric only designed
instead of trying to also run the company. Brooke got upset when Ridge
started dissing Donna again but she didn't stay mad for long and they had
sex. After, Ridge suggested that they get married in the Forrester showroom
then take charge of Forrester. Brooke wondered if Eric will go for that and
Ridge assured that his dad would always have a place in the company.

After Eric left for his trip, Owen found Donna in tears. She explained how
her husband had to do damage control because of their marriage. Owen tried
to bolster her with flattery but it didn't work. He then offered to take her
home and she agreed.

Thursday

Felicia asked Owen for an update on his evening with Donna the night before. He reported that he didn't have any incriminating photos of their quarry yet. "Donna hasn't given me a second look," Owen pointed out. Felicia warned
that Owen wouldn't get "one red cent" if he doesn't follow through with the
job she hired him for. A fed-up Owen proclaimed that Donna is devoted to Eric
and advised Felicia to find someone else to help with her dirty work.
Felicia surmised that Owen has fallen for Donna.

Eric returned to Forrester Creations with the news that he didn't get many
orders for their designs. Ridge announced that he and Brooke are getting
married, but he's also scheduled an emergency board meeting for the next day.
The agenda? "I want you to turn over control of Forester Creations to Brooke
and me," he announced. Eric and Donna were flabbergasted as Ridge insisted
that he and Brooke would be able to turn Forrester's bad luck around. Ridge
then presented a document that would give the company to Ridge and Brooke as
a "wedding present." A riled Donna protested Ridge's proposition and urged
her husband not to sign. Eric wanted to talk to his son alone and After
Brooke and Donna left the office, he pointed out that Ridge had tried to
take over the company once before. "This time, it's going to happen," Ridge
vowed. Eric then got a call that orders were down 30 percent and Ridge
re-emphasized that it is "time for a change."

While cooling their heels outside of Eric's office, Donna begged Brooke to
convince Ridge not to go through with his takeover. Brooke said she couldn't
because she helped formulate the plan and Donna was horrified. She said that
taking the company away from Eric is wrong. Meanwhile, a depressed Eric
agreed to Ridge's offer. "I won't let you down," Ridge promised.

Friday

Thorne and Felicia were shocked when Ridge shared that their dad was going
to give him Forrester Creations. "Starting tomorrow, Forrester Creations is
entering a new phase," Brooke noted and Ridge looked forward to a "smooth
transition." After Thorne and Felicia left, Ridge and Brooke had sex in
Eric's office.

Beth made oatmeal raisin cookies for Katie and Hope. Nick dropped by to
check on Beth and Katie was surprised that he cut his honeymoon short. Nick
explained that Bridget was wanted at the hospital. Katie marveled that her
mother seems to be doing well but Beth didn't want to get too hopeful. She
took Hope into the kitchen to make more cookies and Nick praised Bridget for
being such a trouper through his wedding to Bridget. Katie pointed that she
loved them both and there wasn't anything she would do for them.

At home, Eric lamented to Donna that "I feel so empty." She was taken aback
when Eric announced he was signing over the company to Ridge. Donna advised
her husband to search "your heart" for what he really wanted because
Forrester needs him "now more than ever." Eric recalled all the scandals and
bad times Forrester has rebounded from and didn't want to walk away. "I love
this company," he proclaimed. "I'll be the one who decides when I step
down." Donna was glad to see the spark come back to Eric and he announced
that he was going to change his will to include Marcus. Eric predicted that
Ridge and Brooke are going to be angry for changing his mind. "Our marriage
is not a liability," Eric smiled and Donna asked him to give her sex. After,
Donna realized Eric is unconscious and wouldn't wake up. "Oh, my god!" she
gasped.
